I loved this place, our waitress was fantastic answering my friends answers about the menu, coming several times to get our refills and checking if we were good. I believe the owner/manager of the restaurant also came by our table and everyone else's to see how everything was. We all got a lot of food, all of us had to take our leftovers. I got the beef stroganoff, it was very creamy and the pieces of steak were thick and it came with a lot of mushrooms, I love mushrooms, the sauce was nice and creamy. Everyone got a different plate and everything looked good. My cousin's order came with a big plate of ribs which fell off the bone, I had to try his food, too much mustard but it was really good. We all enjoyed ourselves will definitely have to come back when I'm in the area.

The food and service were good. My only real complaint is about the logic behind menu pricing, specifically when ordering main entrees. $40 for prime rib, and I must pay extra for veggies or salad. This is so off putting that I am unlikely to return. Price your food with an entree included.

I was recently tasked with finding a restaurant to host a post-memorial gathering for 50 people, and from the very first phone call, the General Manager, Chris, went above and beyond to make the planning process seamless. He was kind, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. Chris stayed in constant communication with me leading up to the event, checking in about our group size, asking insightful questions, and ensuring every detail aligned with the vision I had in mind. On the day of the event, the experience exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere at Brick House was warm and welcoming, striking the perfect balance of casual and elevated. The staff, especially Nga and Fidel, were absolute stars, they were attentive, conversational, and always checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly. Their care and professionalism truly made all the difference. As for the food, every dish was outstanding. Our group enjoyed the chicken, rib eye, Caesar salad, ravioli, and pesto pasta, and each one was a hit. There was more than enough food to go around, and it got rave reviews by all guests. I can’t recommend Brick House enough- for their exceptional team, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere. They helped us create a day filled with warmth, comfort, and connection as we celebrated the life of a loved one. A heartfelt thank you to Chris, Nga, Fidel, and the entire Brick House staff for making it all so special.

What an amazing find! This New American restaurant exceeded all expectations. The moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The ambiance was both modern and cozy, with a lively yet intimate atmosphere. The menu featured a fantastic selection of dishes, and everything we tried was phenomenal. The pan-seared scallops were tender and perfectly seasoned, while the braised short rib melted in our mouths. Our server was incredibly attentive, making sure our drinks were always full and checking in at just the right moments. The craft cocktails were a highlight—each one beautifully balanced and bursting with flavor. Can’t wait to return!

Ordered a 44$ prime rib as Med-rare, but the steak came out well-done - overcooked and firm/hard, For this price, even a well-done steak should come out at least a bit tender. The service was very good and the ambiance is exceptional . It's too bad that the meal I ordered came out as mediocre. I'll give it one more try then decide if it's ever worth going back, much less, recommend to anyone else.

Ok where do I start. Pretty much everything that I ordered was literally perfect! I ordered the 16 oz steak dinner with loaded potato and it was just incredible! Perfectly cooked exactly what I asked for. Even their garlic butter was just delicious! It was my first time going and definitely not my last. I recommend this restaurant to everybody!

Best food in Elk Grove! Anything that you get from here is amazing! Franco really has put on a fantastic restaurant and the service is always A1. Amazing scenery and overall vibe to the whole restaurant is just amazing. 10/10 recommend

If your Old Elk Grove or New to our Town this is a must place to visit for dinner. This is a TOP quality Restaurant with many options for all! This Wonderful staff treats you like family and are very welcoming. I don't know who is the magical Chef behind the scenes but the Prime Rib was amazing!! Cooked to perfection! Also a side note... it's sold as a 12oz but it only costs two dollars per ounce more if you would like a thicker cut ( I find that so reasonable ). Also the Dessert servings are huge!! Happy Dining!

Decided to try this place, since it's Mothers Day and felt like going out for a nice Brunch, that was a mistake. In fact it was so bad it ruined my Mother's Day! I got pancakes, bacon, with ham, thaw pancakes were ok, the bacon had a strange taste to it and the ham was really dry. My husband got the roast beef sandwich which he could not eat at all! The roast beef was not cooked not to mention the amount of fat served with it, the bun was rock hard. My daughter got the pancakes with banana which was good, but now she is in the bathroom throwing up All of this plus 1 drink cost $240.00, which was definitely not worth that much! This is not a nice restaurant it looks like a Dennys to me! But Denny's probably would have been a better choice. I do not recommend this place

My first time here, but definitely not my last. I was out and about Saturday afternoon in Old Town Elk Grove. I have walked by or driven by this place dozens of times since I moved here a few years ago and decided to give it a try. Besides, it was after 3 p.m. and I hadn't eaten all day. Although service was a bit lackluster, the food did not disappoint. I ordered the Mother Clucker which came with fries and a side salad. Everything was delicious. I took half of the salad and fries home and finished the salad there. The menu looked pretty good and I can't wait to go back.

Have been coming for years. Sadly, the economy has taken its toll. No more complimentary bread and garlic butter. Everything is now ala carte so the deal isnt that great. They say portions are bigger for the price but one of the main reasons for coming here was for their complimentary bread and their soup/salad that came with the meal for a small cost. Not going to lie it was quite a shock to see the menu change so much from the last time we were here. Despite the changes, our server Nga was great. She was very attentive and helped explain the new menu. Overall food is still good and would recommend this place. Just for those who have come before, know that the menu has changed because it was quite different.

This is a gem of a restaurant and people gate keep this one. The interior is nice and clean, moody and music is playing. Their food is fresh and high quality. The staff is friendly The drinks are ok, I had an espresso martini and they do not use real espresso, not good super sweet. The table is served bread and herbed butter, so delicious! I had the Chicken Marsala, this was soooo good. Seasoned well and cooked nicely, tender. Topped w/ Mushrooms and olives with a side of veggies. Wish they served mashed potatoes lol My husband had the filet mignon and said it was great quality and cooked perfect (medium). Ravioli is my daughters favorite Their Spumoni dessert is real deal, must try. You have to go and try it once.

There was a retirement party when we went so it was a little loud. We only had to wait a few mins though. The service and food came out fast and hot. I got the ribeye with pesto pasta, hubs got the ravioli in pesto oil and my daughter got the lamb chops. For entrees you can choose pasta as a side! We asked for the lamb to be med and it was a little overcooked but it tasted good. I can't wait to go back for the burger! Our server was so sweet and kind.

Birthday dinner tonight. We had the ribeye and beef stroganoff. Both were superb and a wonderful melange of flavors. Also got the minestrone and bread for the table. Both were extra, but worth it. The minestrone is savory and rich, and the garlic herb butter served with the super soft house-made bread is a taste treat. The staff is patient, courteous and warm, and many thanks to the bartender who suggested a glass of not-at-all oaky Cabernet that went perfectly with the ribeye. The dining area is not loud and reminds me of the ambiance of the former Broiler downtown. We have been here for birthdays and anniversaries and they never disappoint.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the Sacramento area. Service was amazing and restaurant was clean. We ordered the beef stroganoff and pesto seafood and it was probably some of the best pasta I have had around here. Huge shoutout to the GM Chris as well! Great hospitality and I can feel the love and passion that are within those doors! Will 100% definitely be coming back again!

Just had an event with 40 people for Brother in Law's 70th Birthday party here. Chris Martin was AWESOME!!! The food was fantastic.. Na did an amazing job taking care of all of us. Love the Brickhouse. Looking forward to the next big event here. Thank you so much again Chris and Na for making this such a smooth event.

Upon entering restaurant we were happily greeted by the nicest male hosts! I wish I would have gotten their names. We had happy hour in the bar. Service continued to be friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The food...meh...it was priced high but was at the level with Apple Bees (nothing wrong with Apple Bees!) Cocktail was decent but didn't have anything special to it...kind of seemed like those cocktails that bartenders make so many times they give little thought to it...or effort. Bar area is great and has fun warm friendly vibe. I would go back but not for the food. Would be fun place to meet up with friends for the bar atmosphere. Has so much potential ~ just kind of misses the mark for the food and cocktail details.

We had a Christmas gathering with a group of 20 recently. We were seated right in front of the fireplace and Christmas tree! It was wonderful! Our waitress has been with the restaurant for a long time and we were lucky to have her again. I ordered prim rib with baked potato. It was heavenly!

Food and drinks are excellent, waiter/waitress checks on you frequently, and the ambience isn't dirty.

The brick house is a fun place for drinks or a nice sit down Italian dinner. The food is very good and the ambience is pleasant.

We recently dined at Brickhouse for cocktails and dinner so my partner could experience the ambiance and delicious libations. We ordered. . . 3 French 75's (she had 2) 1 White Russian Pork Chops with a Baked Potato House Salad Everything was made perfectly, and for the French 75's, my partner mentioned that these were made to perfection from what she's experienced at other restaurants. That's a lovely compliment since she lives in the Napa area! The reason I didn't give high praise with my rating is because this establishment could do so much better for vegetarians. There really isn't anything. Sure, they have mushroom options (allergic to mushrooms) and the salads could feed the state of Texas....... great, if you like salad, but can't we do better? I've been to plenty of steak house restaurants with sides to choose from for those veg heads, but salad, baked potato, and mushrooms could definitely use some variety. We would return for the cocktails! Thanks for reading!

After my husbands funeral our family and friends had a reception at Brickyard and couldn't have asked for a better time. Food was fantastic, the restaurant has a warm family feeling and the staff were friendly and spoiled us. Chris Martin the manager was so helpful and friendly and suggested the food that was so delicious and perfect for the occasion. Everyone said they will be returning in the future. Wish we could give them more stars than 5 deserves more like 10 stars. Outstanding!! Thank you again, The Stroth Family

I had a reservation down for a Wednesday night. Checked in and was walked to my seat immediately. The waitress was nice and attentive. We ordered a variety of food from steak, salad, potatoes, soup, pasta, and veal. The steak was cooked perfectly, the brown sauce on the side was not needed so we didn't use much of it. I got the veal scaloppini and I did not like the sauce. It was packed with oil, which made the meat mushy and slimy. I didn't have much of that, but ate the rest of my plate. Many of the food, such as the minestrone soup needed more salt, but that's a personal preference.

Friday, 1/19/2024 - our 1st time to Brick House was back in November 2023. We loved them so much that we made reservations to Brick House for my birthday at 5:00pm. Food was great. Salad w the salad dressing was so good. We got the usual. Prime rib, except I got vegetables this time vs baked potato. I got the prime rib medium rare. It was a little too rare in the middle. But since it was so large, the outside part and little inward of the meat was cooked perfectly. That's what I ate. Lol. They also gave a complimentary bday ice cream. So sweet! My SO asked the waitress and she said they do give a complimentary ice cream for bdays. But!!! It must be because it got busy or something. Our server, she was NOT very attentive. She checked in once on us. We had to keep looking for her or ask any server walking by for any missing items (such as liquid refill) or if they can find our server for us. Our waitress didn't look very happy this evening. At least not at our table. Maybe she was better at other tables. Idk. She wasn't smiling or personable, but was very polite. I order the caramelized caramel and chocolate cheesecake to go. She brought it out in a to go box and left. I opened it and saw the cheesecake and a little container full of black stuff. So I grabbed a spoon, a little cheese cake, dip it in the little container of black stuff and it was just chocolate. No caramel. So we looked for our waitress. Again. For quite a while. She didn't check on our table. Again. My SO saw her walking by across the way and ran over to her quickly. My SO showed her a picture on my phone the cheesecake we got in Nov 2023 and said that was what we wanted. She said that since I got the chocolate on my complimentary bday ice cream, she thought I only wanted chocolate. After my SO showed her the cheesecake we got in Nov 2023, she went and got me a little container of the caramel sauce for my cheesecake. Besides the unattentive waitress this evening, we still like this restaurant and will come back.

Service was great. Very on top of everything. Food was ok. Not great but it was good. Ambiance is a little stale.

Currently new to the Elk Grove area and this restaurant did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious. Huge pasta fan and was lookin for a good Italian spot. We came across Brick House and I'm super glad we came! The ambiance was nice, staff was super attentive and friendly and the manager even came to speak to us asking how things were. We decided to enjoy February 14th a day early and I'm glad we did! We shared the nightly special chippino. It well worth 80 dollars. The service was great as usual. Just a great dinner!

My parents have been going to Brickhouse for years and is one of their favorites in Sacramento. They wanted to go there to celebrate their joint birthdays, and even though I was across the country and couldn't be with them, I was able to work with the GM Chris to arrange a special evening for them (and cover the bill). He and the team took great care of my parents that night. It really is the personal touch that is so great. This right here is neighborhood and community!

Always excellent food and service every time we come. Tawny is super awesome, attentive, and she always provides service with a smile. Super awesome Friday night date night spot to watch a game, have a drink, and enjoy the ambience. Love the small town local feel. The Manager Chris is very personable always talking with customers and greeting the guests. Love this place

It's always my favorite place to go when i crave for good American Italian food This time I went there and they were only serving happy hour so not much choices but still pretty good

Brickhouse restaurant always comes through when I want to eat out, but don't really want to leave Elk Grove . Servers are always personable , and engaging and the food is always delicious !!! Soups definitely give that homemade vibe , and the vibe in the restaurant is amazing !!

So the manager invited us back and offered to take care of some drinks for us. We took him up on that offer and he did reserve us a table, but guess what?? We were charged for the drinks we were told would be free so downgrading the original review to a one star.

When you first walk in there isn't anything extraordinary about the place. It's clean, pleasant and cozy. I wasn't a fan of the acoustics though, very hollow and tended to echo loudly if that makes sense. Really great staff! They know their bar and specials. The food is amazing! I had a simple garlic steak... like budda!! Go here

I came in here at 4pm on a Saturday to purchase a $100 gift card for a neighbor who did me a huge favor. I've never eaten here but heard good things. Was greeted by a hostess/waitress who directed me to the bar area. I waited patiently for a few minutes until the bartender asked me what I needed. I told her & she said ok & then proceeded to make cocktails. I figured no problem she'll help me when she's done. Nope...she walks away, starts talking to patrons, ringing up tabs & so forth. After 5+ more min of being ignored, I lost my patience & left. I only saw two people working there and it seems only the bartender was able to ring up people? Ended up purchasing a $150 gift card from Boulevard Bistro later the next week.

I hosted a baby shower at the Brick House last weekend. I cannot praise it enough. It was a fantastic event. Many thanks to Chris, the manager, and Nga, our server. I coordinated the whole thing long distance since I am in Los Angeles and obviously the restaurant is in Elk Grove. The food was great. Everyone loved the two kinds of sandwiches which were prime rib and vegan. Tempora veggies were a big hit as well as the bruschetta. Our group was about 40 people, and were able to spread out, using the booths for game playing. I was very very happy. Kudos to everyone at the restaurant.

My fiancée and I visited Brickhouse yesterday, for my birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. I am a very picky eater, but I love a good ribeye or NY strip steak. One of my biggest complaints when eating out is the lack of seasoning on the food, however our food was fantastic and we had very large portions. The game changer was the crab cake! Wow- it was like home cooking. Someone made this with love. There was no breaded fluff, just real blue crab seasoned to perfection! For desert we shared the apple crisp with ice cream. Such a delightful way to end our amazing dinner. Chefs kiss!

Extremely bland and basic food for the price, AND my pregnant wife got food poisoning from here. Never coming again, and I recommend no one else does either.

The food here never disappoints! Service and ambiance is also not overwhelming too. It's just a good spot overall. Keep it up!

i was genuinely blown away by the flavors at this place! the inside was so cutely decorated with a bar, booth seating, and high tables. the beef stroganoff was incredibly rich and savory!! tender beef, perfectly cooked noodles, and a creamy sauce. i lovee the pesto pasta. the pesto was vibrant and fresh, and the seafood (a mix of shrimp, calamari, and salmon) was perfectly cooked and beautifully integrated into the dish--not overpowering, just incredibly well balanced. whoever's in that kitchen knows exactly what they're doing. it's probably one of the best pastas i've ever tried in my life. the apple crisp reminded me of apple hill but better. our server lane was amazing and very attentive and chris the gm was so nice! made the restaurant feels homey and welcoming! def coming back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I wanted to find a restaurant with amazing food AND access to a private room to hold my mother's Celebration of Life on 10/3/24. I researched over 20 restaurants and I just couldn't find the perfect fit. A good friend recommended Brickhouse and said that it had a beautiful private room and the manager Chris was awesome. My spouse and I went to meet Chris, sample the food and see the room. Our friend was right, Chris was amazing AND he just happened to have my dad as his teacher when he went to Elk Grove High School. We sampled the food and it was STELLAR. Chris sat with us and answered all of our questions. Organizing a Celebration of Life can be a bit stressful but Chris made the process seamless. We were able to decorate the room anyway we wanted and Chris and the staff were willing to help in anyway they could. Megan was our server and she was spectacular. She was friendly and efficient and handled my gregarious family with ease. She was the perfect fit for the occasion. The Shrimp Scampi was delicious. The Roasted Chicken was SO flavorful. The Rib Eye with garlic butter was cooked perfectly. The Fettuccine and Ravioli were fabulous. The family is still talking about it the next day. The celebration was an event my family will never forget. We were all so impressed by Chris, Megan and the staff. We will cherish the memories we made at Brickhouse and we will never forget the service or the food. We will be customers for life AND it was the perfect place to celebrate my mother's Celebration of Life.

Went here for a birthday dinner. The drinks were good. The food was good. The service was great. The restaurant was in the downtown area. Parking is sufficient. I ordered the filet mignon it was ok the loaded baked potato was great and the veggies to. The restaurant is well lit seating area is nice.

Veal scaloppini, beef stroganoff, coffee, beer, and the chocolate mousse were all delicious and amazing. Our waitress Megan was helpful in selecting what to order and telling us about the food that they serve. The restaurant reminded us of a place that we grew up going to in the Bay Area. We will be back to try some new dishes. Can't wait to see what else Brick House has to offer. Thank you for a 5 star meal, 5 star service and remembering the beautiful memories of the Bay Area. Wonderful experience here at Brick house, Our server michala was quick to answer any questions, offer recommendations and very attentive. Chef mario makes the best braised short rib. It's huge, over a pound!! Chris the manager stopped by our table, I let him know I'd like mashed potatoes and he made it happen! ( off the menu) Absolutely wonderful service, great food. A true hidden gem!

Hands down one of the best places to order a bloody Mary in Elk Grove! My favorite dishes are the salad and soup. The salad is huge and very filling. Great quality of food and service. It is a great spot for a date night ,but also for a place to grab a drink with friends. They have a fairly large bar top area ,where I normally like to sit.

We went there today after a doctor appointment arriving at 4 pm. The restaurant was not busy. There were a few people sitting at the tables in the bar area and some diners in 2 separate booths. A family was leaving. We were informed there were no seats for the two of us and dinner seating started at 5 pm and "frankly" the server said she did not know if there would be any tables available at that time since it was Valentines..I was kind of shocked..I told her we would just go someplace else, we didn't want to be a bother...We've dined there before after a previous doctors appointment and had a great dining experience. At that time, we were the only ones there except for a few people sitting at the bar..The manager or owner even stopped by our table to make sure everything was great..I don't think we will be back.. I'm usually not sensitive, but for some reason this bothered me...

Great people. Great service. I had a drink and two appetizers; Sita (beef kabobs) and the Gorgonzola potatoes. All excellent!

I think this place is going down hill. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder which wasn't that good and was charged $18. I think that is ridiculas for a bowl of soup. Don't think Ill go there again.

Disappointed last few times.... I've been a regular for many, many years but lately the food hasn't been that great. I never ordered the calamari n thought to give it a try...no flavor and taste like frozen rubber fish sticks for kids. I don't even know if it was really calamari. Ordered crab cakes n they were so thick and mushy, we couldn't eat them. The staff are nice n I try and support but I need a long break to recover before going back lol

We came in to try this restaurant because we may hire them to cater a family event. Service was friendly and fast. I had the chicken Marsala and it was delicious with a side of steamed vegetables (also good). For dessert, we all shared the cheesecake and chocolate mousse and both were yummy. The restroom was not very clean so I deducted one star. Otherwise, I think we will hire them to cater our event.

Good was great Frank was our waiter very nice young man. Very pleasant helpful I was glad new was our waiter the ambiance was good I celebrate my 73 rd Birthday with my wife I would go back again the food was great nice place

My dad and I just had drinks one night. I was impressed. Went back the following night for dinner. Our waitress messed up my margarita and I had to remind her of my shot of tequila. We sat in the back lounge area. I felt it was quieter. However, our server wasn't around much. I felt out of sight out of mind. Food was good that night. Service? Well I've had better.

I chose this place for a date night for my boyfriend and me to meet up halfway. We have never been before and the space has great booths and plenty of space for large parties. The meals are large portions and the added $6 for soup and salad is totally worth it! We tried the clam chowder which was delicious and the salad was so fresh and all the fixin's! Nice presentation in a metal bowl which keeps the salad cool. Neither one of us could finish our meals, so the cost is worth it with two more meals for leftovers. Did I mention the warm sliced bread with delicious garlic/herb butter?! So yummy! The only disappointment for me was the spumoni. If you like the neopolitan type spumoni you get at most places, this is more of a traditional one with candied fruits, salty pistachios in a vanilla gelato. It just wasn't what I was expecting, but if you like original spumoni, by all means go for it. I also love the extra touch of the owner/manager coming to our table to see how everything was as we were eating our dinner. Nice touch and will definitely be back! Look forward to trying the Lodi location too.

Brick house will always be a favorite! The bar can get busy with open seating but the dining room has adequate seating. The music and atmosphere is lively. Worth the wait especially on the weekends when there can be a bit of a wait. The staff is super friendly, courteous and they all work as such a great team. The coconut prawns are my favorite and the apple crisp for desert is mouth watering! Great drink Menu that changes seasonally with a huge variety of tap beers. Shoutout to Michaela who is an absolute doll!

Cant say enough good things about The Brickhouse! Hosts are friendly and accommodating, food is great, service is excellent, and management makes you feel like family.
