Brick + Mortar

We had a great time here... Popped in for a couple of drinks and a snack... We decided on the chicken and waffles and we were NOT disappointed. I would absolutely recommend! (Photos are Google with night view and iPhone... Either way WORTH IT)

I had a fun night at Bricks + Mortar! It was WAYY TOO LOUD inside, however. Very small space, and the bar wasn’t separate from the dining area at all and people were treating the place as if it were a bar. The food was pretty good overall, but needed a bit more salt. I loved the Mac n cheese! We also ordered the chicken and waffles, and the bbq chicken pizza. I thought both of them were delicious, although my partner felt that the dishes both could’ve used some more salt and seasoning to them. I liked the bbq chicken pizza here much better than dedicated pizza places, like CPK, though! The service was a bit slow, but that’s understandable with how crowded it was, and waitress was super sweet and friendly! Also, there were only single bathrooms for men and women, and huge lines for each. Definitely feel like they could do with larger bathroom facilities, considering how many people appear to come here to drink on the weekends. There were also way too many TV’s throughout the whole dining area, each seeming to be on a different channel. Was a bit too much for my taste and distracted from the dim, gastropub-like ambiance the place had. Had a good time and a yummy meal, but it was too loud and the food could have used some improvement. Solid meal overall though!

Frankie the manager took amazing care of us and Haley (tall brunette) our server was extremely kind, attentive, timely, and knowledgeable about the menu. I would come back just because of Haley and Frankie! We didn't have the "perfect" experience but the problems we had were handled right away!

Went during happy hour (12-16). Fantastic food. Good drink selection. Quick and friendly service.

Can I just say I love having my salad with my dessert on Valentine's Day. From the moment you walk in for dinner on a Thursday night you're greeted with loud music enough for you to yell to the person next to you. Only order a drink off the menu otherwise the bartender is asking you what some basic mixed drinks include. Let's not forget items on the menu aren't actually available so prepare for disappointment cause you're probably still looking at the old menu. The salad you asked for before dinner is gonna go great with your churros. The icing on the cake is the waitress is going to over charge you so review your receipt careful. Once you've cleaned that mess up and the 2 free glasses of champagne are downed just run for the door.... Or take my advice and avoid this place.

my mouth is still watering, this is the best pizza i have ever had. prosciutto for the win!!! service was also the best i've ever had, thanks so much sweet brunette girl with glasses!

Super yummy garlic Parmesan fries! I got the crab cake and bacon Brussels sprouts and it was perfect!!! Highly recommend for dinner in Santa Monica!!!

⁶Nice little place tucked back away from the street. Outdoor patio made for nice sunny morning breakfast. Lots of options for the bloody mary bar, only $10. Bottomless mimosas for $20.
