Excellent. Elegant without being too fancy or pretentious. Warm dark interiors. Service was attentive and friendly, thank you Jackie! The jagerschnitzel was some of the best I've ever had. Cod special also delicious. We'll be back.

This is possibly our favorite restaurant of all time in the entire CT-NY-NJ area. Coming from NYC, we try a lot of food but nothing has quite matched the quality these dishes. Not only is each dish unique but it is carefully crafted with quality ingredients! The menu is diverse, exciting, and different. We were overly pleased with the apps, entrees, even down to our post dessert coffees. We came during lunch and the Chef took the time to talk with us, give us his favorite dishes, and even went as far to offer to make us special dishes upon our return. Much respect & love for the Brick Walk Tavern!!!

We dined in...an excellent atmosphere. The chef comes to table to describe his dished. Waiters all attentive.

Omg. We have had great food at this restaurant. But tonight was the best. We both had the CT lobster roll. It was so tender and absolutely perfect. I have never tasted a better lobster roll. You have to try it!

My husband and I went to this restaurant quite a few years ago, when it first opened. We were underwhelmed. Thankfully, last night we decided to try it again, as decent restaurants in Fairfield are slim. Needless to say, we were blown away, and it is now our favorite restaurant in Fairfield! The service is impeccable, for one. From the moment we walked in the door, despite being very busy, they made us feel welcome and special and ensured we had a spot to sit, drinks in hand as we waited for a table. The menu is a refreshing change from the norm around town- a bit different and elevated. Just the right amount of options, and something for everyone. We really had a great experience and will be back again and again. Thank you, BWT!

My girlfriend's and I decided to have dinner here for our girl's night out recently, let's just say the experience was not great. We called ahead to book a table before going and that process was pretty straight forward. We were welcomed and seated at our table upon arrival and our server Jaqueline (Jackie) was very nice to us. We ordered some cocktails and then our main course, a burger and two 10 oz steak dinners. This is where things took a turn, we waited more than 30 mins to receive our food and if that was not bad enough the Steaks were burnt to a crisp (Literally), the smell was awful and the taste even worse because it was bitter due to it being burnt. (Please see attached photo for reference!) During our wait time for the meal, we were only checked on once and we called a server over to talk about the condition of the steak dinners that we received. He apologized and took the meals back to the kitchen; here is the kicker, the manager/owner comes over and informs us that we will be receiving the exact condition of the previous steaks if they are redone because that is how they are made when well done. The other option was to order something else from the menu, there was no apology for the badly cooked food or any empathy for us as paying customers only ultimatums dressed as options. My girlfriend's and I decided to pay our tab and leave because it was painfully obvious that this establishment does not care for our business. In terms of customer service it could have been better by a long shot.

Google
Hands down one of the best taverns that I have ever been to. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. The food was a bit on the higher end side, price wise, but it was definitely worth it. I would recommend getting the Chili Garlic Crispy Shrimp, the Paccheri Pasta, the Steamed Mussels, and the Steak Frites.

Google
Was in town visiting and we made a reservation for dinner! Everything was delicious. Perfect dirty Martini! The chicken Lemongrass dumplings were delicious. We ordered the N.Y. Strip steak off the specials menu! It was perfect. One of my favorite steaks I’ve ever had. The cook was perfect and the seasoning was amazing! We had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and an Espresso Martini for desert! Both were amazing. Service was also great! Very impressed with our experience and look forward to going back next time we are in town!

Yelp
Ceasar salad was good, and the chicken parm. Atmosphere upbeat and clean. Great people watching. Service so great I felt like a princess. Nothing left out. Lots of people helping and so kind, so professional. Really great experience, highly recommend.

Yelp
So, we recently met a couple at a restaurant in New Haven that told us about this place and we couldn't wait to come. They raved about this sea urchin? dish with Calabrian chilies and to make sure Chef Dan Snyder was working when we went. Not sure if he was working last night, but I'm sure he was if he's head chef. We were very intrigued and made a reservation shortly after and upon pulling in to the parking lot, realize we had already been here! Too funny. Our first trip we had the dumplings and they were good from what I remember. I believe I did not review the restaurant since we only had appetizers. Moving on to this second excursion, it was a nice time. Friendly and attentive staff. We started with the gorgonzola salad, and I had the Branzino and boyfriend had the Chicken Scarpiello. Everything was delicious. Branzino was over couscous. Two pieces of fish. Definitely filling. Chicken Scarpiello amazing flavor profile. You aren't getting romantic ambiance which I like to go for on Saturday nights and it can be quite loud during busy time (6:45) so just note that. It's nice that it's in a plaza with a cool place next door to grab a drink after (Sophie's). Honestly the bar inside looked nice here too. Walked by it when I went to use the restroom. It's sort of tucked away in the back. Worth checking out.

Yelp
We went her for our daughter's birthday, on her request. We had a great experience. The restaurant is cozy and classy. The menu is great and our food was amazing. The service is also top-noch and they truly give you a culinary experience worth it. Thanks for giving us a great night celebrating our daughters birthday.

Yelp
My visit to the Brick Walk Tavern left me underwhelmed. It is not due to its ambiance or service. The restaurant has two distinct sections - a lounge area and a dining area. The night I went my friend asked to be seated in the quieter section so we were directed to the dining area which was literally empty. A great choice, for a visit to the ladies had me wandering through the lounge area which was bustling and loud! I was happy to retreat back to the dining area to enjoy a more peaceful environment. The separation of the two areas is done such that the noise does not spill over - for which I was very grateful. The hostess and waitstaff were very lovely and attentive. The service was definitely worthy of five stars. However, the food was where I was left dissatisfied. We ordered the zucchini chips and asked for the cheese on the side. The dish arrived as ordered however the chips were quite greasy and sliced very thinly so that some of the zucchini was squished together and a tad bit soggy as opposed to crispy. My companion sprinkled the cheese over them and highly enjoyed the app. We also ordered the papas brava which were adequate. They were simply potato cubes that were fried to a tender crisp and drizzled in an aioli. I went for a taste without the sauce and again my tastebuds were not dazzled. My entree was the kale and brussel sprout salad. This dish came with dried cranberries that overpowered the salad and tasted very synthetic. My friend had the Gorgonzola salad with an addition of grilled chicken (a $12 add on!). Again he seemed to enjoy his meal. Overall, the setting and service were great but the food left me wanting more flavor, sophistication, and substance.

Yelp
Impressive spot for a large family dinner celebrating our beloved graduate. We basically had our own private room in a back wing of a nice, modern restaurant, and service was on point. They had a soft shell crab sandwich as a special which I couldn't turn down and was glad I didn't. Exceptional with a nice lemon aioli. Other folks loved the meat--particularly the French onion burger which was unique, as well as the steak frites. Definitely kick in the extra $2 for the flavorful truffle fries if that's as option for you. Perhaps they try to swing a little too much for the fences with some of their specials in some cases, though--my fiancée ordered a "Grilled Swordfish BLT" - I mean, it was swordfish over risotto that had bacon and arugula in it--a nice twist on a traditional dish--but felt a little bit like they were trying too hard to slap a weird culinary name on a normal dish. I also have to ding them a tiny bit for not having bread--only pita--and then charging $2 for the tiny, flavorless add-on. The older gen in particular was not happy with that development. However, the beer and wine selections were strong and the cocktails were on point--not usually my go-to, but my dessert espresso martini with a spot of Bailey's was just perfect. For the random folks who wanted a non-liquid dessert, the peanut butter cookie was quite popular. Not cheap, but largely delicious and overall felt reasonable given the quality of food and of experience. Perhaps I came in with a slightly snobby "probably won't be a great meal outside of the big city" kind vibe, but... they really delivered an overall great meal.

Yelp
It feels like an upscale tavern in this place. They have a good beer menu to though the vast majority of it is not on draft. Came here with my family. We were seated quickly, without a reservation on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately at 6:30 PM they were out of the item I ordered off the specials menu was not available. The service, while friendly was spotty at best. Long waits between drink orders / delivery as well and the food service was extremely slow as well. My wife was brought the completely wrong dish. The silverware was cleared away before they could even bring her the correct dish. 15 minutes later my wife, who has still not received the correct dish. Asks to speak to the manager. Who arrived right as her dish did and attempted to make things right. As a final kicker.I was completely ignored by our waiter when our dessert order was taken. I know that mistakes happen but this was not cool. The way we were treated turned what could have been a nice family celebration into a pain. On a positive note, the beef barbacoa I had was tasty. My daughter's peanut butter skillet was amazing.

Yelp
In Madrid, they have Casa Botin. It's very old. Stone walls, a wood-fired oven that's been burning for centuries. You go there to taste history, eat roast suckling pig, to eat something that's never changed. In Fairfield, there's Brick Walk Tavern. It's not ancient, but it feels timeless in the right ways. There's a seasonal fire burning here, too--not just in the hearth, but in the kitchen, in the staff, in the way the food hits the table. The room is warm. You can hear yourself think. You don't have to shout to be heard. At the same time it's a lot of fun as a later night place without question. The cuisine leaves you understanding why the CIA educated the chef. Excellent in all respects. Christine at the bar is the welcoming face of the restaurant and makes superb cocktails. In a world of overpriced, painfully loud places and people who don't seem to care anymore, this place does. The waitstaff looks you in the eyes. The chef has a commanding presence that makes you feel cared for as a guest. I highly recommend.

Yelp
So dissapointing!! Brought friends for holiday dinner. Had linguini and clams and it honestly had no flavor!! My husband had the pork chop. While it was good, it was greatly overcooked despite asking for it to be med rare!! And the octopus was so skimpy we were shocked. The shrimp was great but can't recommend based on an app! Oh well sorry to say I won't be back!

Anthony M.

Yelp
Three couples (all friends) went last Saturday for dinner. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. But the food was disappointing: -- the clam sauce had no flavor; the schnitzels were dry and tough, and bathed in gravy; the pork chop came out well-done (tan and dry) rather than the medium-rare (pink and moist) requested. None of us plans to return anytime soon.

Yelp
We had a nice dinner here before a show at the SHU. Two of us had the French Onion burger and the others had the Broccoli & Brussels Sprouts salad and the Beet salad, both with grilled chicken on them. Wine selection here is pretty good and there is a pretty good beer selection as well. It's a casual, cozy atmosphere suitable for larger groups or an intimate dinner for two. There were a lot of children here as well so very child friendly. I think our server was kind of new so I can't really comment on the service but he was very nice and we didn't have any issues. Things are kind of slow here. It didn't detract from anything and we had given ourselves plenty of time before the show, but if you're in a rush or need to be out by a specific time it may be good to let them know that. I wouldn't consider it a defect, just something to note if time is a concern. It didn't impact us at all and we really enjoyed our time here. Parking in the Brick walk is fine if you're patient. Sometimes you get lucky and others you have to search a bit. Just expect that. You'll find something so don't let that keep you away. I should note that the French onion burger is one of the best burgers I've ever had. I would definitely order that again, although there are a lot of things on the menu I would try the next few times we visit. The menu has a lot of variety on it so anyone should be able to find something to enjoy. We will certainly be back!

Yelp
Went for my son's birthday as he attends Fairfield. The arrive and food was extraordinary. Dishes were so fresh and services was superb. If we lived in the area we would be going back often, will definitely be going back. Got to meet the owner and wife who were extremely nice and recommended the desert to finish off the meal.
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
We really enjoyed being in the back room which only has 4 tables because it meant it was easy to hear the conversation. Food was good except some of the dishes we wanted were sold out. Service was very good - Jackie was friendly, well spoken and attentive.

Yelp
So if I had to pick a restaurant that surprised me the most in 2024- it would be this. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. I was expecting just a regular average meal. I don't even know what made us try this place. It looked dark and closed but I felt like a new place. I'm telling you -- give it a try! The Autumn Salad was the most delicious salad I've had. The pasta bolognese was perfection -- But right now they unfortunately are no longer doing the lamb bolognese with the mint. The white sauce they switched to is still good. But I'll give any restaurant that cooks pasta perfectly al dente 5 stars.

Sue D.

Yelp
Friends of ours recommended this restaurant as they had been there for appetizers and said they were quite good. We then decided that three couples would celebrate a post holiday dinner there. Sad to say we were quite disappointed. I had the Jagerschnitzel which was crispy, as it says on the menu, but dry as a bone, to the point of being inedible. I tasted the linguine and clam sauce that my friend ordered and it tasted like pasta with water. There was no flavor to it at all. We were both wondering if there was any traces of garlic in it. Another member of our party ordered the pork chop which he said was good, but overcooked despite him requesting that it be cooked, medium rare. The cream of broccoli soup was so dark that I wonder if there was any cream in it at all. Although the grilled octopus appetizer was good, it was a measly portion. The only bright star of the evening was the chili garlic crispy shrimp appetizer. For the steep price of the entrées, I would expect my meal to be top-notch, this dining experience was not.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch, traveling on 95. This place surpassed my expectations. Hubs and I had $25 pre fixe lunch. So much food and everything was delicious. Great service. Good price.

Yelp
In our local Facebook groups, Brick Walk Tavern is consistently highly rated, for food and service, so I finally made it over there, with my daughter. And I'm so glad I did, and can't wait to go again. Service was fantastic from the moment we entered. The interior is very nice and there are some amazing historical photos on the walls. Food was superb! We started with shrimp shumai, which were out of this world! My daughter had burger and some of the best fries I've ever hard. I had a delicious swordfish with risotto, and we finished with ice cream and for me, an espresso martini. There was also a great wine list, and I tried a few new white wines, per recommendation of our server. This is one of those places where it's worth the money! Especially for special occasions, or if you're a foodie. So happy to have this place in Fairfield!

Yelp
Delicious salads. The BWT Aperol Spritz was delicious, as well as the Sancerre wine! Thoughtful service.

Yelp
Chef owned and run and the love of food and service showed. Food was outstanding--but the service and attention we got from the staff may have been even better! Felt comfortable and at home and enjoyed every bite. The spring menu just started and our group had perfect arugula salad with strawberries and feta, amazing spicy long peppers and sausage with a whipped ricotta and beautiful dumplings to start. Each one of us loved our own entrees as well as each others. ( half chicken, steak frites, French onion burger to die for and unreal Dan dan noodles) And the desserts were brilliant as well. Cocktails were on point. Run don't walk. This place is fantastic.

Yelp
Very reliable, consistent food offering with good service. Gets a little noisy when busy but never had a bad experience.

Yelp
On food alone, this place is four stars. But overall Brick Walk is a solid three star place. Definitely worth trying out. The lamb, especially, is amazing. The menu is broad and covers many tastes and the serving sizes are big. Show up hungry!. Service was solid. One observation is they don't handle "busy" well. There's a stress level when they are busy that is palpable and permeates the staff. Perhaps it was an owner or manager but this person dressed in a chef's jacket was "expediting" the front of the house but arguably was only making things worse and stressing out the staff. It was awkward. It didn't ruin our experience at all but impacted it to be sure. The bar is nice and the drinks are good. It's not a bar that's well designed for a crowd If you don't hard a seat at the bar or a bar table you'll feel "in the way" as staff rushes about. Give them a try, reservations strongly suggested and perhaps go in a quieter night for a more relaxed experience.

Matthew B.

Yelp
On a Saturday night, they found a table for two. The menu is somewhat limited, but there is enough there. I had the Lomo Saltado, and my wife had the steak frites. Both were excellent. After dinner, we were allowed to move to the couches in front of the fireplace, where we ordered two more drinks. The drinks were well-mixed, and not overly sweet. We sat by the fire, enjoying the heat and ambiance. All the while, we were checked on several times, given fresh water, and asked if we wanted anything else. We were very impressed with the food, and even more so, the level of service. A great experience!

Yelp
Terrific crispy shrimp, great onion burger. Bit the autumn salad was overly infused with cinnamon. Overriding flavor. Worth going for the eggnog alone.

Yelp
Finally got to try this well known Fairfield restaurant! Very friendly greetings and nice atmosphere. Initial cocktails were delicious, cosmo and Bloody Mary. Appetizers (sorry no pics bc we gobbled them too quickly) were great. Their special crispy Korean cauliflower and chili garlic crispy (not really) shrimp are must haves, I'd say. Entrees were great. We had burrata chicken parm, dry aged ny strip on the bone, steak frites and chicken fingers. All were great. The ny strip was flavorful, a bit pricy at $75 and be careful if you prefer your steak less cooked, you might consider medium rare if you usually order medium. The steak frites comes with a demi glacé and is a smaller portion, but tender. Daughter had the chicken fingers and loved them (not an easy critic). Chicken burrata was a hit, as well. I had two tastes of red and both were great. Overall, great experience and we will be back!

Rhonda P.

Yelp
Was busy (and loud) on a weekend night earlier this month but we were seated at time of reservation. We sat with menus for quite a while before being acknowledged by our server. Service was slow; server did apologize for kitchen being backed-up. Other tables were delivered fresh bread baskets, we never received. Crispy shrimp were good, salad was good, steak was good, chicken scarpiello was good. An expensive experience that wasn't perfect by any means so don't think we'll be rushing back anytime soon.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant over the summer and I realized I never added a well deserved review. If I could give more stars I would!! The service was on point, the staff was attentive, friendly and offered suggestions. The Chef Dave even came to check on us and chat about the restaurant and how we located it. The appetizers were both delicious we had the white bean dip and crispy spicy shrimp. I could eat the shrimp every day, I looked the cilantro. For meals I had the Seafood Boil Special, the waiter brought out a huge stack of napkins and a handful of handy wipes. It was messy deliciousness and I loved everything about it. My husband had a delicious Mac and cheese that he thoroughly enjoyed. The menu does change often, but just from looking at the pictures on social media there is a lot of attention put into every dish.

Yelp
I had a lovely dinner with friends at this awesome restaurant in Fairfield. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was great. I had a really fun evening and this place never disappoints! The grilled whole fish with broccoli rabe is my favorite dish that I order every time! The verdict-- everyone loved the food and had an awesome experience. Will definitely return!

Lynn P.

Yelp
The food here is wonderful. Everything is fresh and delicious. My skate was perfectly prepared and the creamy fergola was a great accompaniment. Only slight issue was the noise factor but once we moved out of the lounge area that was quickly resolved. I will def be back.

Yelp
Came here for dinner during the week and had a great experience. I ordered the autumn salad which was really good, fresh, and filling too. Every bite was so flavorful. Service and atmosphere were great too! Great place for a date or to go with family or friends.

Yelp
Another yummy meal, we haven't been here in 5 months and It was just as good as our last visit! This time around we ate at the bar (since we didn't have a reservation). Saturday nights get busy, highly recommend reservations! Food came out quick, attentive bartender and staff. Tried a lot of the apps, and for main we had the chicken scarpello with cherry pepper Risotto. Chicken was great, incredibly juicy. Happy to see that this place is thriving, it's just what Fairfield county needed!

Ana J.

Yelp
I can't give an honest review because I haven't eaten there. But I have heard nothing but good facts from it. I have got to check it out.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an establishment that consistently does all the important things right. They handle busy nights extremely well; we went last night on graduation night and the service was perfect and everything happened quickly. The food is extremely flavorful. We had the steak frites, Korean cauliflower and the swordfish. Everything was absolutely delicious and I wish we could do it all over exactly the same. 5 stars. Thanks to a great place!

Yelp
I came here for my birthday with my friends. We were seated in the back room. Service was awesome and food and drinks were even better. We started off with several appetizers: crispy shrimp, cauliflower, dumplings. Most of ordered the steak frites and we were so focused on our meals I don't even know what the other end of the table got.

John D.

Yelp
I had another meal here recently and it was better than last time! Our server told us they changed up the menu a bit, but the food was still just as great. I got the Asian marinated sirloin and it was great. It also came with a nice plate of fried rice. Nothing much changed about the ambiance, but outdoor seating was available so that's a plus. If you're nearby, give this place a shot.

Yelp
Saturday night after dinner we wanted to grab drinks since we were not ready to call it a night , looked on yelp to see what was available this place seemed to be the best option. we came in & sat at the bar drinks I had the BWT Aperol Spritz not bad , decent taste , good on the alcohol hubby had the Private beach bonfire decent as well. they certainly have interesting names for the cocktails, decent music playing & plenty of Tv's that were playing sports. Cute place , nice atmosphere but they close too early by 10 on a Saturday ? not sure if this is due to covid but oh well our night was not very long here. The place served it's purpose for drinks.

Yelp
Another 10/10 night at Brick Walk Tonight we got a fan favorite the Paccheri Pasta. It was actually the dish that made me fall in love with Brick Walk Tavern over a year ago! We also got the White Bolognese which has become a new favorite of ours and is served highly recommended by our waiter. Brick Walk is deff on the pricey side but the generous portions totally make up for it couldn't say enough great things about his place

Yelp
Already looking forward to my next meal here, it was that good! We dropped in for brunch on a Sunday around 1pm. I had the House Smoked Salmon and the salmon was like buttah. Just melted in your mouth, hands down the best salmon I've ever had. I savored every single bite of my bagel with their lemon scallion cream cheese. My husband ordered the Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs and he was thoroughly happy with his meal. We also ordered the NY Cheesecake and the Expresso Ice cream for dessert both delicious and the presentation was on point. The only reason, I am giving it 4 stars is because the service was very slow. Their staff looked young and maybe they just don't have the experience? Clearly, they have some kinks to work out here. Expect to sit for over 2 hours, that's how slow it was. A table that sat after us, got their meal before us and left before we got served. Another table next to us, was so upset with the service they asked to talk to a manager. Completely, unorganized. They were very pleasant workers and apologized multiple times. The worse part is, it wasn't even busy and they were efficiently staffed.

Yelp
Decided to try this place for lunch after reading some of the early reviews and I was quite impressed. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Two areas to dine we sat in the lounge area which had a beautiful fire place, bar area and tables not high and regular tables. The staff was quick to take care of us, really no wait at all we were there for lunch. I ordered the prime burger and my girlfriend ordered the New England chowder. Both were packed with flavor, so delicious. My burger was thick, juicy and packed with flavor. Cooked at the perfect temperature. The Chowder was delicious. To finish the meal we had the espresso dessert and it was so good. A great combination of sweet and salty with caramel. Out of this world!!!

Yelp
No Protein For you! We were very excited to dine here and had been looking forward towards dinner with friends. We had to change the time of our reservation, as well as, the size of our party and the restaurant could not have been more helpful. Our overall experience was just OK, (the food was very good) but that was based upon how rigid the restaurant was in our request for additional bread for the hummus dip (couldn't have more bread without paying for another serving) and our request to add a protein to a salad (wouldn't do it). I will say that these 2 items will absolutely prevent us from going back; the restaurant should be ashamed that this is how they treat guests and they need to realize there are many, many good options in the area.

Yelp
So I came here for a work dinner once. The place is spacious. I'd describe the place as elevated bar setting. Crispy shrimp was good. Korean cauliflower had great flavor and mix of cripiness and tenderness. I ended up with the steak frites. Fries had a great crunch. Steak was well flavored.

Yelp
Parking: In a busy plaza but there were still a few open spots, if not you also have street parking as well. Decor: Very clean and nice...not too much tacky stuff on the walls though they do 100% need to add noise cancellation pads to the ceiling as it does get quite loud. Staff: I had a waitress named Sara and she was amazing. Great suggestions, foods she has tried, and how the menu changes often. Food: Very well prepared, though not costing them a star, our reservations were for 7:30 and the were already sold out of menu items, which for me is a serious issue...almost a point reduction. Price: About average for the location and quality of the food. Overall: It is a place that I would go back to for additional meals and service.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Fairfield this place came up. The food was amazing!! I asked our server for recommendations, to which she said "it's all good". She didn't lie, we tried 3 different dishes and an appetizer, IT WAS ALL GREAT! Very nice spot for a quiet dinner with great food & service!

Yelp
This restaurant is a gem. The hostess was cordial, accommodating and sat our party right away. We did not have to wait long to be visited by or server. What is amazing about this restaurant is they change the menu almost daily, creating more anticipation for the clientele. So there is a great variety of appetizers offered along with salads. The apps were amazing. Our party had the brisket, but he sea bass and of course a few burgers. Absolutely amazing and satiating everyone. The best was by far the dessert. The spice cake with toffee syrup and vanilla ice cream - off the charts. This dessert goes to 11. By far a top 3 dessert I have ever eaten. Props to the pastry chef - and from what I understand she makes the desserts fresh every day. The desert cake was warm and a wonderful contrast to the cold vanilla ice cream. We WILL be returning!!

Yelp
Great place to have different types of cuisines. More an the high-end side in terms of prices. Great and friendly service. You get what you pay for.

Yelp
There's nothing not to like about this place, it's my favorite restaurant. The food is absolutely wonderful, creative and each visit is different as the menu is always changing and provides a wide-ranging selection of dishes. The vibe is casual and comfortable yet elevated and the service always on point. The owners David and Ted (David is also head chef) are good people who care about their customers. Dine here, you won't regret it.

Yelp
I spoke with the owner and chef Dave a month ahead about booking the private room for a bachelorette party. He was so friendly & accommodating. We ended up booking it for a party of 7 and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. We did the 3 course menu option which is $125 per person and included an appetizer, dinner, dessert and unlimited coffee, tea, still water and sparkling water. First off, the private room is this cozy, dimly lit room off to the back of the restaurant. I loved how private it was and quiet so it was perfect for conversation we didn't have to talk over the noise of the restaurant of music! The owner came in to say hello and allowed us control over our music playlist. The server was friendly and attentive. Oh and the food.....all I can say is WOW!! We all shared our appetizers so we were able to get a taste of everything and they were all delicious! I ordered the tilefish for dinner and I've never had a fish like it before. The center was melt in your mouth but the outside layer had a crispy skin on it that was amazing. The menu changes weekly but there was such a variety on it that I'm sure everyone could easily find something.

Yelp
This is a really good restaurant and is five stars. Not four stars or 4.5 stars but an absolute five star experience. So I wound up here, because I was in the area at a local Orthopedist after taking a nasty fall some time ago and tearing my ACL. (Happy 2019!!). Upon leaving the good doctor, I was famished as were the two ever so wonderful people who accompanied me to said Doctor. We originally tried to go somewhere else but that place was closed. I whipped out Yelp and that was what brought me to Brick Walk. Thanks Connecticut Yelpers! The ambiance here is quite nice and the menu was full of interesting and varied dishes, everything ranging from traditional burgers, which is what I had, to Octopus. Our server was quite sweet. Unfortunately, I was not feeling to good and did not get her name. But she was great. I got a burger platter. So did one of the people with me and the other got Zucchini Feta in Pesto. We were also given some yummy starter bread. I should say this place is on the pricey side. But it is Fairfield after all. But we were skeptical. I am happy to say the food was great..all of it. You know how when the conversation stops during meals it's because everyone must be really really enjoying their food? That was us. I don't think a word was exchanged except a few "wows". I mean it. I do not give five stars all that easily but this place is a must try. I am also a picky eater, particularly about my burgers as is the other person who got the burger who maybe pickier than me. We both LOVED it. And the Fries were so good..among some of the best ever. My friend who got the Zucchini loved her meal as well. Verdict from the three of us..five, five and five stars. Will be putting this place on my list to try again.

Yelp
I can't say enough wonderful things about Brick Walk Tavern. The food is always amazing, and the atmosphere is lovely. An example of their warm heartedness is when I wanted to have a dinner party in my home. I absolutely love their Berkshire Pork Pappardelle and wanted to serve the dish to my guests. David, the chef and owner, put together the ingredients, packaged everything and gave me PERFECT instructions for cooking and assembling. It was an incredible evening and everyone enjoyed the meal. Nothing was left on their plates. Thank you to David! I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
