I was so excited to try this place because I’d been craving Neapolitan pizza but it was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The pizza was so greasy that it was orange and we had to dab it with napkins to remove some grease. It didn’t taste good in general. And there was a PIECE OF SHARP WOOD that my boyfriend almost swallowed. It was such a waste of money. EDIT: I reached out to the owner as they requested and after a few weeks there still has been no response on their end.

Google
Stopped by Bricks and Burch and while the service left a bit to be desired the pizza really delivered. It had that delicious wood-fired flavor, perfectly crisped crust, and fresh ingredients that made every bite worth it. That said, I did feel the pricing was a little on the high side for what you get. Still, if you’re craving quality, flavorful pizza and don’t mind a slower service experience, it’s worth a try. Would definitely come back for the food!

They put a lump of toppings in just the middle of the pizza and its the greasiest I've ever seen, do not recommend.

Hugo was AMAZING. I had a date with a friend and he made it into a heart. Best date ever and best employee ever!

Norma Mazon

Google
Great location! Delicious 🤤 pizza and beer! 🍻 staff was very friendly. My new favorite spot to grab a bite to eat.

Erika Chavez

Google
The pepperoni pizza was so good!!! I really do recommend. They also have another options so I would definitely recommend trying those as well! I also got a free drink with my order just to tap my phone on a board they have in front where you order!

Google
Great pizza place inside the food lab. Theres general seating everywhere, Bricks has a couple 2 person booths on the side which is nice, your removed from the chaos of the open seating area. Lots of covered outdoor seating also. Try the Ron Swanson. You won't go wrong. Large pizza is big enough for 2...maybe 3 people to share.

Google
I clicked the order button from google maps for the Riverside location but the order went to Redlands instead. When I went to pick it up and it wasn’t there, they said this happens sometimes. EDIT: Management contacted me and was very helpful resolving the issue. Be careful which location you order online from but would definitely visit again.

Yelp
Nothing like a pizza on Friday, had a chicken, bacon and chipotle 12 inch-really delicious. There is a young man, Will who makes absolutely outstanding calzones! Usually, I get the chicken, all the savory veggies with burrata. If you don't know then you're missing out, promise you'll be glad you tried. That crust is the best I've ever had (the Italian in me approves), lived in Philly and been to New York, West Coast just upped the ante. Customer service is also really great too, highly recommend this place

Yelp
First time at Bricks and Birch and thought of taking it home for that perfect late Saturday night snack! For sure ended up being exactly that. Although before taking it home I had to sneak a piece of the crust before taking it home and all I can say is YES!!! It is fire wood baked deliciousness!! Couldn't decide veggies or meat so the best of both! The Mushroom Brie and the Ron Swanson and Lee me tell you both were absolutely amazing the crust was crispy and chewy and soft the ingredients fresh and savory. Have to go back and see what's next!

Yelp
I loved the texture of these pizzas. They're thin crust on hand-rolled dough and cooked in a wood-fire (?) oven. My son devoured his pizza. I savored and loved every bite of my mushroom pizza - had I not been full, I'd have ordered the veggie (touted as their most popular pizza). Instead, I had the chopped Italian salad with basalmic dressing. You can see that it is generously served. The flavors were well-balanced and super tasty. This place is a keeper and I wound come back and try their calzones. It took about 15 mins for us to get our order because they are made to order - a good thing! The vibe is chill and appears to be managed by a group of nice guys who are responsive and helpful. We got our order "for here" and sat in their seating area which was very quaint. We faced a display of plants that are grown with "grow lights." I'd come back if in the area again.

Yelp
The pizzas here are my favorite. The service is excellent. There is a kid that works here, his name is William I believe. He's always so helpful. Great recommendations from him. Always feel welcomed here

Joseph R.

Yelp
Angelita made a DELICIOUS barbecue chicken pizza for my buddy and me and excellent salad for my wife! Service, Food, Ambiance and all for a reasonable price. Highly recommend checking this place out and ordering some food to enjoy with the ambiance of the Food Lab

Kenneth A.

Yelp
The worst pizza and service ever. The pizza was barely cooked to warm. Other customers said so also. Staff was incompetent and totally unable to correct poor service. My pizza made at home is much better than this. They didn't even cut the pie to be eaten. Never again. One customer said they usually have good food but their family agreed it was terrible tonight and they will not go back. Save your money and time go for pizza anywhere else. It should be ZERO STARS.

Sonny S.

Yelp
Nice quaint place to grab a pizza, a salad and something to drink. Service was great, menu was easy but unique and price want too bad. I'll be back!

Yelp
Been to the food lab many times and have wanted to always try Bricks and Birch, but there has always been a line. Finally tried it and almost wish I didn't. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza($20) which is really more like a Medium(6 slices), and man it was really soggy. The grease was just puddling on the top. Was very salty, that one slice is already making my stomach hurt as I write this. Should really be one star but we'll give them 2 for the location and service; inside the location because * *What's up with the business owner? Responds to comments very sarcastically. Not a good look for the business, instead of properly addressing the issues, that many people seem to have.

Yelp
Ordered the swine pizza to see if pineapple really does go well with pizza. NO! It does not, pizza was nearly $30 with a 20% tip and 4 sides of ranch and it was completely undercooked. So disappointing and a waste of money. Riverside has no real pizza.

Anjali M.

Yelp
Very horrible place to eat. They only had two people working during dinner time. One person at cashier and other making orders. I placed an order at 615 and it wasn't ready till 715. Then the cashier person told other people were waiting to out orders in and cashier goes we are not taking orders. I ordered margarita pizza and cashier person just put basil on without gloves. We started eating the pizza and the bottom was not cooked and tasted like dough. Not coming here again. No hygiene and pizza is not cooked. Threw away the whole pizza and stopped at another place to eat.

Fredrich J.

Yelp
Amazing service and low wait time, Really great energy Every time i'm out in Riverside, this is definitely a go-to spot

Yelp
Bricks and Birch is a great place to chill out and get some work done. I really appreciate the amount of outlets they have as I am a person who constantly had a dying device. Only downside is that there is no WiFi unfortunately. There's a Spectrum connection there, but it only allows guests to use for 30 minutes. If you have a personal hotspot that would probably be best for your connectivity. They have an assortment of coffees and teas which go really well with individual work or study, but so does their pizza! Really impressive that all pizzas are crafted and cooked in an authentic brick pizza oven. Gives your typical pepperoni pizza that additional kick in texture and flavor that it needs! Parking is hit or miss with the spots right outside the restaurant. There's a barbecue spot next door that also gets a lot of traffic. There's parking structures across the street where you will find easier parking options.

Yelp
The owner wants to edit the post and say I'm lying but the pictures are clear that the pizza was undercooked. The cheese is raw. Based on all her comments on reviews she makes excuses and has no accountability for the low quality food her restaurant puts out. Yelp doesn't lie. There's a reason your rating has plummeted.
google avatar

Yelp
I honestly thought the pizza here was really solid. Not sure why others don't think so. The guy who worked the counter was super friendly also. I just sat right across their counter at the beer bar and when my pizza came out, I had it with some beer. Perfect.
google avatar

Guillermo O.

Yelp
Great food! Loved the veggie pizza! Gets a little too loud for me personally but it's exactly what you would expect from the atmosphere.
google avatar

Emi M.

Yelp
A young man named William helped us and gave the best service. You don't see that in these young kids any more. Food was great, Had a great experience. We will be back!
google avatar

Phillip G.

Yelp
So we went to this place to get pizza for dinner. It was busy. The guys working were doing their best but the reality is the end product wasn't cooked properly. It took ten minutes to get the order in and the two younger guys were busy at their stations. Ideally, they should have had five people working. Further, they don't work as a team. The supervisors or owners did work together with each other but it didn't translate to the kids working the stone oven and the cash. Ultimately I have to cook my pizza at home to finish it. I'd get a refund, but I didn't want to wait another twenty minutes just to be seen. Best of luck, but this business won't survive if it continues like this.

Grant P.

Yelp
Saw the new place in town and thought I'd give it a try. I ordered 1 pizza. I was told it would be about 30 minutes. Left and picked up something from La Bodega. When I returned I sat for well over an hour waiting for my pizza. The staff was apologized several times and even offered my a free desert. but to wait this long for 1 pizza is disappointing. When I got home to eat my pizza, it was just average. The place was really cut, but I don't see myself going back. Hopefully you guys work out the bugs and pick your service and quality up

Yelp
[Edit: LOL wow the owner or manager responding to these reviews are so DGAF FYI there's at least one other review that mentions salty pizza so IDK what you mean. But anyway you are right it must be my own faulty taste buds. Apparently this is exceptional pizza and my amateur taste buds could never . Reducing the rating from 2 stars to 1 star-- because this pizza is #1 in the world (: ] It smelled so good my husband and I knew we had to order from here. BIG MISTAKE. The food was SO salty we couldn't finish either of our foods. T.T I'm usually not too sensitive to salty and can tolerate more, but I just couldn't get past the saltiness on the pizza. I think it was because of the cured meats on it. My husband got a calzone with pepperoni and also couldn't finish it because the pepperoni was way too salty. We enjoy trying different pizzas from different establishments, usually the pepperoni, and never in our lives have we tasted anything so absurdly inedible. It had so much potential-- I did enjoy picking away at the crust and taking off the toppings, but that was the extend. Some of the most expensive trash we've had to throw away. Maybe stay away from the pizzas with pepperoni or other cured meats if you're really wanting to try.

Yelp
Love this place! Best wood-fired pizza in Riverside! me and my son come here often! Dough is hand stretched and is super flavorful! Sauce is tasty and the crisp/char on the crust is what you look for on a wood fired pie! I always recommend to anyone who asks me where to get a good pie from, go to bricks and birch! Although it still is very good when you get it to go, you have to eat it there to really get the full experience! Go to bricks and birch! Best pie in Riverside!

Yelp
Was there last weekend with a friend its in a fun crowded food court area. We got 2 medium pepperoni pizzas they were decent and we liked the baked oven crispiness. But the pricing was too high--over $40 for 2 pizzas and they were pressuring for a tip. Pizzas were good but probably will not be returning.
google avatar

Smita N.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this pizza left me disappointed. The center of my pizza was RAW and the sides were undercooked so I couldn't eat it. I wish I had a better experience ordering from here. The jalapeno popper pizza was ok but nothing to write home about. I wish they had a crispy breadcrumb or something because the textures were pretty monotonous.
google avatar

Jasmine Z.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the Food Lab. Pretty crowded and busy ambiance with a lot of other restaurants/options nearby. I just wasn't very impressed by the pizzas. We ordered the butternut one and the rocket man because they were more unique. Not only are they on the expensive side, the toppings felt pretty scarce and unevenly spread on the dough. The pizzas themselves are also on the smaller side. I feel like I could've gotten better pizza at other places. Overall, probably wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Miranda P.

Yelp
I wish I had seen the responses from the owner before dining here, I would have skipped it. The rudeness in her responses translates directly to the experience I had at Bricks and Birch. The service was slow, the people working were needlessly rude, and the pizza was mediocre. Don't waste your money here.
google avatar

Luis S.

Yelp
Absolutely enjoy the pizzas here, Always delicious, and the happy gentleman with the glasses always adds to the friendly experience as well!
google avatar

Emon Y.

Yelp
this place is crap. Don't pay for expensive crap This was a margarita pizza i got delivered through door dash..... why is it... WET.. I've came here a few times and got the large marg. Bricks and birch is very inconsistent. Their photos are false advertisement. Photos look great, you order food, doesn't come out looking like the pictures. Can you believe that's all the basil they put on my margarita pizza?! HAHA It's actually hilarious. I will be coming in sometime to speak to the manager since he's only there during the day. I am not a karen, but i believe if the owner wants to stay in business, then he will keep an open ear to his customers. Very disappointed for this $20 pizza. lol it's so wet.
google avatar

Shaundra N.

Yelp
Always so good! The staff is friendly and can help you pick out what you might like. You can choose from their listed flavor combinations, or create your own. Pay attention to the front counter because they usually have a few "special" pizza combos listed there. We've tried many of them - all so good! This time we went with a Chicken Carbonara. It had a great combination of cheeses, chicken, bacon, mushrooms - I'd definitely order it again! We also ordered a side salad - nothing special, but it was fresh and we enjoyed it. The pizzas are fresh made in the brick ovens right in front of you, so if they're busy, it can take a little bit for your pizza to come out, but it's definitely worth the wait.
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
I had higher expectations for this place!!! Do yourself a favor and just order Baba's loaded fries next door. The pepperoni pizza was way too salty; however, I did enjoy the crust. Customer service could of been better. Overall I'm glad I gave it a try but it's not for me.

John P.

Yelp
Well for starters I've been here before and decided to give it another chance and they let me down again! Ordered a personal Ron Swanson and wings .... Took about 25 min to get my order and my pizza was lacking toppings and my wings were dry when I asked for buffalo and they gave me one little buffalo sauce and told me I had to pay for more buffalo sauce .... Very rude staff .. won't be coming here again.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Getting straight to the point. Food here was decent. Even though our order was wrong. They did correct it though. It's located inside the food lab which is a pretty cool place to hang out. Service though is awful Came here on Thursday night and the employees looked like they just rolled out of bed. I'm sorry, but you gotta dress more appropriately. While ordering, having to head "anything else" with an attitude as if they can't wait for us to leave, makes it very uncomfortable. I definitely won't be going back. Please be mindful on who you hire. Customer service is really important. And honestly, dress code as well. It was pretty bad.

Donald D.

Yelp
Straight up putting crack in their calzones cuz you can't just order one from them gotta eat 1 and take one to go be
google avatar

Serina A.

Yelp
Awesome pizza place in a lively food market. I grabbed a half and half pie that had so much cheese (delicious) and a draft beer. I'd definitely grab pizza from here again! Thank you!
google avatar

Sebastian S.

Yelp
The toppings were extremely good and if you're a ranch feen then this is the place for you. But what truly sets this place apart is the service, Desmond and Summer we're externally helpful in helping me choose the pizza my taste we're craving for. Hands down best pizza spot in DTRS

Yashua N.

Yelp
Lita had impeccable customer service, she was very caring and great at carrying conversation. She gave us various recommendations and made our experience worthwhile! 5 Stars!!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
WTH?!?!?! Almost $13 for a 5in pizza. Service was ok. For the price quality and size, this shouldn't be anything near $13. It taste good but I'm pretty disappointed.
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
Always have been curious to try Bricks and Birch since their dough looked very promising- and it was just that- crispy, airy, and delicious! We got the Rocket Man pizza and it was an amazing combination of toppings, especially with the burrata cheese on there. I would say that there was a bit of an overpowering saltiness, maybe from the sauce? Nothing a little hot honey can't fix for our next try!
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night and had their Mushroom Brie Pizza! It was amazing! One of the best pizzas I have had in years! I am a mushroom lover, and if you like mushrooms, order this one! A great dinner! Quick service too! Both staff members were awesome: Summer and Hugo! Very nice to see such smiles these days! Great spot!
google avatar

Rhiannon H.

Yelp
Wanted a pizza & figured I would try this place since it's conveniently located and I have tried several other shops in the Riverside food lab & enjoyed it, so why not give Bricks and Birch a shot. As an avid pizza lover, I was super let down. Toppings were fine (got a veggie + pepperoni) but the crust was very mushy and soft, it kind of fell apart as I tried to eat it. So it was soggy and sad, and I think the next time that I'm craving a pizza I'll have to try somewhere else.

Blaze S.

Yelp
Could be both are faults but I've ordered many jalapeno poppers and never had to ask how the come. Usually breaded with jalapeno and some cheese etc. Nothing on the menu mentions it comes with bacon and this guy really had the audacity to hand me after I ordered the largest size just barly toasted jalapenos with cheese and bacon all over.
google avatar

Pohi D.

Yelp
My kids love the pepperoni and plain cheese pizzas, but I'm obsessed with the Rocket Man pizza. The Caprese pizza and BBQ Chicken are also the bomb. We've eaten here at least 2 dozen times, and they never ever disappoint. Its definitely not cheap but I'm cool with that cause they're artisanal pizzas, not the crap from Chuck E Cheese or Dominos. Staff is super cool and friendly, especially my dawg Hugo. Overall great service and killer artisanal food keeps me coming back. Fav pizza in Riverside. Pro tip: cookies are bomb too
google avatar

Stacy R.

Yelp
The pizza at Bricks and Birch is as excellent as their workers! I wish I caught his name but the worker that took my order was extremely kind and had the best customer service. The pizza was so good and everything is made to order so it comes out fresh. It might take a few minutes but it is definitely worth the wait!
google avatar

Alexis F.

Yelp
Triple B is bomb!! Pizza had bacon, shredded brussel sprouts, and a balsamic reduction! They have so many different options, they offer vegan cheese and gluten free crust! They did have a selection of seasonal items which sounded delicious! Can't wait to return back!

Max M.

Yelp
Best pizza in Riverside. It takes a hot minute for them to prepare this wood-fired pizza, but it's worth it. Their appetizers and desserts aren't numerous but the pizza is the star of the show and I'd rather spend my time with the main event. Can be surprisingly un-busy but can still take a while. I don't care. This place rules. I strongly recommend the four cheese. (Also, give it a minute once it's out. You're not a 9 year old with pizza bagel bites anymore.) To my knowledge the only pizza that can compare is Union on Yale in Claremont.

Johnny B.

Yelp
Hear me out: The pizza maker with the "happy dad" hat is salty as hell lol! I ordered a pizza and pressed the no tip option, only because I tip cash after eating my food.. anyways! so I pay, press no tip and sit there waiting patiently for my food and I see the pizza maker hella mad making my pie After the pizza is finished he boxes it up yells my name and chucks the ticket over the counter lol! Im like damn "happy dad" change your hat to "miserable dad".. I knew the pizza was gonna taste like crap so I went to beer farm drank a fews beers and scarfed the pie down... even after a few beers the pizza was tasteless.. the bartender at beer farm was super rad and attentive,I tipped 20% at the bar, but for mr "happy dad" 0% ‍ can't wait for slice house to open Tony Gemigani finna wipe you out the game
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Robin B I'm assuming you are the owner of this location I would suggest having your team understand the concept of covering your mouth when sneezing so that germs are not spread common health knowledge. Also, hire people that are enjoying their line of work and don't make you feel like you are bothering while you're ordering food and giving your hard earned money to them.
google avatar

Alma R.

Yelp
Awesome food! Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely eat here again. Pizza crust was cooked to perfection and lightly chewy. There plenty of tables and seats.
google avatar

Samuel H.

Yelp
Brick & Birch has a new beer tap pumpkin Porter stout by four peaks it's not your typical heavy porter stout beer it's actually light and easy on the palette. I'm not usually a Porter stout drinker, but this beer is delicious! kudos to the owner for choosing a delicious beer especially for us non stout beer drinkers.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Good Pizza, Pizza box needs a seal for delivery. Sticker or something, I don't like getting pizza dropped off loose and open. Good Pizza tho, not many brick oven pizza spots around here.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Quality wood-fired pizzas. They have some interesting topping combinations, and I like you can get the smaller 6" versions too. Mushroom & Brie: I really enjoyed this one. Hearty and earthy mushroom slices and luxurious Brie pair so well together. Rocket Man: arugula & prosciutto. This was fine, but I thought the prosciutto was too salty which threw off the rest of the pizza. Swineapple: solid hawaiian pizza. No complaints here Pricing is on par with the other entrees inside the food lab, can certainly get pricey though. Located in the Riverside food Lab, free parking in the lot!
