After a long day I needed something to fill me up, and I had been craving some Detroit style pizza - @bricksworthbeer to the rescue! Got a few food items and some beers for an fulfilling (emotionally and physically) evening out. As always, Bricksworth did not disappoint.
Strawberry Burrata Salad:
This salad came with fresh strawberries, a balsamic vinaigrette of sorts, walnuts, and a huge chunk of burrata.
Cheesy Garlic Bread:
The Cheesy Garlic Bread is baked in a similar manner to their pizzas with plenty of cheese, but drizzled with a house-made whipped roasted garlic ricotta.
Box Logo:
I did order an actual pizza. This Detroit style pizza was given the treatment with italian sausage, cupping pepperoni, sauteed cremini mushrooms, caramelized onions, and roasted red peppers.
Now onto the beers
Thatz:
An old fashioned Kolsch beer in Collab with BlackStack Brewing. The top fermented beer uses ale yeast, but is lagered at cold temperatures. The beer is crisp like a lager, but has low fruity characters from the usage of the ale yeast.
Do you take checks?
This is a classic Czech Pilsner. This beer is packed with malt and hop flavor for being such a perfect pilsner. You get low bitterness, medium-low biscuit malt, and a very clean fermentation profile.
Versace Lettuce:
A big bold Triple IPA that was hopped with citra, simcoe, and talus. Very intense hop aroma of citrus, grapefruit rind, and tropical fruits.
Coffee Spotty
A chocolate milk stout that had coffee added to it from @truestone
Cheer Up Buttercup
Ended the dinner with dessert via a beer! This Imperial Stout was aged on chopped peanut butter cups. As somebody obsessed with peanut butter, I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. It tasted like freshly ground peanut butter with dark bitter chocolate. Aroma was toasted peanuts and a hint of light chocolate. A great dessert to end a great night.
