"A power lunch of prime rib and martinis is always available at this white tablecloth-swathed restaurant on West End. The clubby dining room, which is adorned with an extensive selection of paintings featuring monkeys in all types of silly situations, is filled with well-trained servers who are ready and willing to bring the table spinach artichoke dip, wedge salads, and crab cakes at the drop of a hat. Grabbing a spot at the bar is a pro move for a solo lunch of steak frites or an order of butter crab sushi, served warm with ponzu butter." - Ellen Fort

Brick Tops was really good. Nice restaurant and very clean. We shared the deviled egg and millionaire bacon appetizer, which you have to try. Fantastic! I had the salmon and it was perfectly prepared and great. My friend had the Palm Beach Salad and it was beautifully plated and delicious! Definitely a wonderful place to eat.

I absolutely love the trout at this restaurant. Every time I order it, it is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the overall dining experience and makes it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying the trout at this place, you won't be disappointed!

Google
Deviled eggs were fabulous! Swordfish tacos were delicious. Lunch petite filet was way overcooked. Vegetables were perfect. Carrot cake was more like my grandmother’s warm prune cake with glaze. Good but not what I was expecting. We will definitely be back and try other dishes.

Google
So far top 3 steak place in my book. Very well seasoned and buttery steak. I got the rib eye which was my favorite cut. Only inconvenience was I ordered the broccolini but got regular broccoli instead. So I’m not sure if that was a typo or the waiter misheard me. Regardless, it was a good steak! 10/10 very flavorful + tasty.

Google
Great upscale place that has various dishes for all different tastes. This restaurant is American-style. The foods are great! I have had both the salmon and the meatloaf. Both were delicious and well-prepared. The lemon butter sauce on the salmon was perfect for it! The brussel sprouts were crispy and crunchy just as I would expect. The service is excellent! They always make sure your water is refilled before it’s ever close to being empty. They will make suggestions if you ask and are very polite in general. The atmosphere is nice. It’s definitely upscale and appropriate attire is required. The decor is a little weird with a lot of monkey artwork on the walls. But otherwise it seems good. The bathrooms are super clean and well-stocked.

BrickTop’s is the perfect place to celebrate a special event or enjoy a nice upscale meal. We started our meal with the fried oysters and were very impressed. The seasoning was perfect, breading delicate and taste delicious. My wife had the crab cakes, which were also deliciously flaky and flavorful. I opted for the prime meatloaf and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. It was cooked perfectly, with an amazing crunchy exterior and tender interior. The creamy potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts were the perfect sides for this dish, both of them expertly prepared. It was such a fun and special meal to enjoy while enjoying time in Nashville.

Google
Food was amazing, drinks were great, a bit pricey but still very good. What bothered me about the service is that I was sitting at the bar and had to ask to have my empty plate removed, drink replaced/ refilled, and ask to order another item. Isn't that the bar tender/server's job?

Best time to go is weekdays for lunch! They have a flame grilled cheeseburger made with ground chuck and premium cheddar cheese, delicious hot shoestring french fries, a lean French Dip with au jus and horseradish sauce and the fall off the bone sweet, sticky baby back ribs! You can request the dinner menu at lunch and order the baby back ribs. You can also request the lunch menu at dinner and order the hamburger. Update April 2024 The tender, hot and flaky grilled salmon with a side of horseradish is the best thing we have tried on their menu. The baby back ribs, hamburger and french dip while still good aren’t as great as they were in the past. Everything that comes off the grill is cooked to order and the same is true with the shoestring french fries. The service and the atmosphere remain excellent!

Yelp
BrickTop's is always just so consistent. I haven't been here in awhile but returned and it was great as I always remember. Made a reservation on Thursday for Friday at 6pm. Arrived a few minutes early and were greeted warmly and immediately taken to our table. Server brought us menus and gave us the specials menu. (Surprisingly the sushi here is not bad!) i ordered fries as an appetizer which came out in about 5 minutes. We ordered our entrees a few minutes later which came out in about 15 minutes. Everything was as ordered and tasted great. We ate everything and enjoyed ourselves. Really recommend! It can be a little noisy but it's not so bad that you can't hear the others at your table. Also - parking situation is pay for parking, but it was $1.75 per hour for us on the street. I'm not sure if the lot is pay or not but there weren't any spots in the lot.

Yelp
Finally visited. I ordered the meatloaf and brussel sprouts. The meatloaf came with mashed potatoes only. It was good the Brussels were tender cooked perfectly. Chicken Milanese. It was delicious. It came with a chicken breast and fettuccini on the side. It was really good. Our waiter was perfect I think I'd return to try other things.

Yelp
The food is always good here! The service is incredible! The drinks are excellent! Parking is easy! The atmosphere is nice! Local hangout!

Yelp
Me and my family really enjoyed dining here for Sunday brunch. We were a family of five and ordered several dishes. The breakfast libations included a good mix ratio of champagne to juice. My husband and sister in law enjoyed the lobster bisque and Caesar salad as started . Me and one of daughters both had the shrimp and grits that were amazing! My other daughter enjoyed the lobster Benedict. The service level was TOP TIER. Bria serviced our table . Bria was extremely professional and attentive. Our food came out really fast . We did make reservations ahead of time for four and added one more to our party a couple of days before we arrived. Open Table online reservations only accommodate a party of 4 or less. The only con was there was several framed pictures of cartoon monkeys throughout the restaurant, which could be perceived as a racial slur .

Yelp
Can always count on BrickTops for an amazing brunch! they have great service and super attentive bartenders. During brunch I normally get their eggs benedict, egg BriTops or Steak and Eggs! Honestly can't go wrong but ENSURE you order the deviled eggs!!! I was told that they had a Happy Hour but turns out that is false :( ended up having some sushi and it was amazing. Can't wait to actually come for dinner, heard great things and plan on visiting soon!

Yelp
We are here Friday Night of our stay in Nashville. We had appetizers and drinks both were excellent. We each ordered entrées, I ordered the crabcakes while my wife had a different entrée. By now we were pretty stuffed, but my wife was still hungry and ordered yet another plate, and we divided it. Service here was excellent. Ambience here was excellent. Location of this restaurant is on the West End just beyond Vanderbilt. It is easy to get to and seating is no problem. They have seating outdoors as well as indoors. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Absolutely love, Bricktops!! Have been countless times to both locations in Nashville as well as in Florida. Always a great experience every time we go wonderful food wonderful service. Everything is clean and it is perfect for lunch or dinner celebrations. Specifically at the Nashville downtown location we have been multiple times since we moved to Nashville and have had a great experience. Scott, the server is phenomenal! We try to ask for him whenever he is working, however we've had a great experience with other servers as well. Love the steaks and the crabcakes and pretty much everything else on the menu

Ron A.

Yelp
My daughter selected BrickTop's for a pre father day's dinner. My wife and 2 kids really enjoyed our meals. I had prime rib which was cooked perfectly, my daughter had her favorite, Sushi, my son and wife really enjoyed their Fillets. I am looking forward our go back the next time I am in Nashville.

Rachel R.

Yelp
Good food, great atmosphere, and the best attentive service from our waiter Scott. This place is underrated. We will be back!!!

Monica S.

Yelp
Get the steak. Any of the steaks. Spend the money. It's worth it. Add the blue cheese crumble and get the Brussels sprouts on the side. Or get the mashed potatoes and a glass of wine. Get the desert. Any of them. Life is short. Just do it. They say happiness is only real if it's shared. If you want to be happy, share a meal here. Especially if it's your birthday.

Mike R.

Yelp
I have been to this location several times for lunch, but this morning we ordered off the brunch menu. The service is always very good and I like the ambiance. It's warm feeling and very clean, although it can get a little noisy when its full. Entrees start at about $18 and goes up from there. We splurged a little today and the food was excellent to taste. Its worth a try and its about 10 minutes from downtown. They also have a full bar.

Jane D.

Yelp
Yummy!!!! I got the grilled trout with brussel sprouts! Gluten free! They have a separate gluten free menu they print off from the recipe printer. Shows you all of your options you can get, with or without mods. Love that. Hard to find gluten free food at restaurants these days. If you go, you have to get this! My husband got the ahi tuna bowl and it was great as well. All in all, I would go every week if I lived here. Thank you for the kind hospitality. Very elegant.

Yelp
This was a perfect lunch find ! Superb service , great American fare, and overall comfortable ambience. The service was impeccable! Attentive , food was served quickly and our glasses stayed full! There used to be one of these places in Atlanta and oh how do we miss you! If you haven't been you are missing out! Best crab cake ever - nothing. it sweet succulent meat!

David B.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere, great service and perfect selection of appetizers and main meal. Of course the desert menu is delicious. I look forward to BrickTops opening in Sandestin, Florida at Miramar Beach!!

Quin B.

Yelp
I had a lovely meal at Bricktops in Nashville. I consider this restaurant an American cuisine steakhouse with some enticing entrees other than steak on the menu. I am not a meatloaf guy, but even it sounded delicious. The interior of the restaurant is classy and you will probably want to dress up for the meal. The service was good and our waitress was nice an friendly. I decided to get prime rib since I haven't had it in years. It came with a side so I chose brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were crispy and delicious. They were heavily caramelized which brought out their natural savory flavors. The prime rib was great also. It was cooked to medium and full of flavor. I took my time eating the prime so I could savor every bite. The end crust had a smokey peppery flavor similar to good quality beef jerky. The vegetable sides were excellent as well. We had gingerbread for desert. It was my first time having it and it was awesome. The bread was moist and sweet. The caramel sauce and fresh whipped cream all complemented each other. It was a perfect desert for a wintery December and I haven't stopped thinking about wanting more. Sadly it is no longer on the menu. I would love to return to Bricktops for another wonderful experience.

Ross C.

Yelp
Everything we had was amazing! I had the prime rib and my wife had the prime meatloaf. We shared the calamari. The food was all fresh and prepared well. The service was incredible and the ambiance inside was very classy. Don't miss out on a great dinner experience!

Mellinda L.

Yelp
10 Stars!! This was the most amazing evening out. We have had a very, very long time. The crabcakes were absolutely. My husband had steak delight with Caesar salad, and he was so overwhelmed with how delicious the stake was, it was cooked perfectly. We stayed and had a few round of cocktails because the ambience is so amazing. It was just an amazing date night and the service was five star Michelin quality. Best place to eat in Nashville. We ate here three times in one day, don't judge me it was that good.

Andy B.

Yelp
I was there Friday with family. I started with a dirty gin martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives. Very well made, though I wouldn't have complained if it had been dirtier. For dinner I had the seared tuna steak, served with house made ponzu, pickled ginger and a side of crispy Brussels sprouts. The tuna was sesame encrusted and seared to perfection. The ponzu had an almost smoky flavor to it, which I loved. And the Brussels sprouts were heavenly. I had a glass of their French Sancerre to finish out the evening. No dessert this trip, but their bread pudding is a must!

Reneé S.

Yelp
The staff is lovely and everything I've ordered has been great, both brunch and dinner!

Madison H.

Yelp
So so so good! The deviled eggs and bacon were so yummy could've eaten more! Service was very helpful!

George K.

Yelp
I went to BrickTop's with colleagues. We had a drink in the bar before heading to our table. Be sure to get a reservation. For a Monday night, there appeared to be a decent wait. However, our table was ready right on time and we were promptly seated. The service and food were very good. Among us, there were two filets and salmon. All was cooked exactly to order and all sides were delicious. I heard the twice baked potato was dynamite! I didn't try it, as that's not my cup of tea. Overall, it was a good experience. It's reasonably priced, though I acknowledge it's not at an everyday meal price point. The drinks were okay. The dirty martini was fairly mediocre. The restaurant is decently loud so if you're looking for a quiet meal or your party includes low talkers, it may be hard to hear. 4 out of 5 only because of the drinks. I'd definitely go back. Oh, yes, one more thing. I was at the bar slightly ahead of my colleagues and was immediately welcomed by the hometown crowd who gladly kept me company until my coworkers arrived.

Ed T.

Yelp
I was a bit underwhelmed. After looking at their online menu I decided to go for the prime rib at $26.00 only to find the price was $36.00. They seated me on the outside porch which was fairly cool. I settled for the plank salmon with rice pilaf and sautéed spinach. For the price I had expected wild caught salmon but it tasted more like farm raised from Costco! A good suggestion would be to update the online menu with price and selection. Guess I'll check more closely next adventure.

Lindsay O.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday evening with no reservations. The main reason we landed here was because my boyfriend didn't want to use any of the paid parking lots. BrickTop's has a parking lot just for their customers and no QR code needed!! We split the chicken Milanese, lobster bisque, green beans, and doughnuts. The lobster bisque was delicious and had a nice sherry bite to it. The chicken and green beans were also tasty. But my favorite dish of the night had to be the doughnuts!!! Now some people may not enjoy having to play with their food, but I thought it made a fun experience! I tried dipping the doughnuts in the sauces individually and then all at once. It was a fun way to eat dessert. The lighting was enough so I could see the menu and my dinner date without needing my cell phone light. It was quiet enough to have a conversation, but not too quiet where you'd hear a pen drop. Would definitely go back!

Tait L.

Yelp
Wow, service level sure makes a big difference!!!! The first time I was in town and visited a couple months ago, I raved about this place to everyone I met. They nailed my drink order, the sides and the main aim entree. I felt valued and had a delightful meal. So, I anticipated a return visit like crazy - thought about the unique sea bass, the fact that they nailed a perfect Manhattan, and the spot on service. I came back into town. And. Experienced bad service. Terrible service. Left town and came back again - skipped it completely. Came back this past week and decided to try again - and the food was great, service lousy. Again. Brutal service when paying $50 for an entree is unacceptable no matter how good the food is so I won't be going back. 2 out of 3 visits had horrible service from ignoring me (not even making eye contact) to never checking on me when my food arrived (I ate the entire meal without any staff member checking on me at all) to leaving my dirty dishes on the table until the check was paid for... I expect better.

Jessica F.

Yelp
We had a reservation for a Saturday night at 6:00. We showed up a bit early and they were able to get us in, which was great! We started with spinach artichoke dip. Dip itself was pretty tasting. Was served with tortilla chips, some were overly greasy, looking wet. It also came with a side of salsa, which tasted like a cheap jar of salsa, maybe Tostitos? Our entrees were steak frites and the meatloaf. I subbed my fries for crispy Brussels, which were really tasty! My steak was perfectly cooked, but a little tough. My husband said the meatloaf was overall good, nothing spectacular. He got the loaded baked potato as his side, it was very good. The only thing to note, is that it's actually a loaded half potato, which was a bit small since there was only one side. Additional pros: big parking lot in the back, take reservations, outdoor/bar/dining room seating available, nice big open kitchen. Additional cons: prices online were not accurate to the menu (things were about 25% more expensive), overall the dining room could use some updates (things were a bit outdated and stuffy).

Mark F.

Yelp
We all had salads and the presentation was amazing- flavors and use of contrast was very creative

Judy W.

Yelp
Bricktops is a great restaurant, but it will never top the Houston's restaurant that it replaced in the Nashville West End location. The food is good, service is great and the atmosphere is very warming and comfortable. I sure do miss the Houston's chicken tenders, but I do love the French Dip sandwich with their great fries and their burgers are always good! Somebody please give them some of the old recipes from Houston's!!!

Tennessee H.

Yelp
Almost raw salmon with served to us in a to go order. Totally unacceptable, totally! This place is definitely not what it used to be in my opinion.

Robert E.

Yelp
Party of two for lunch. We were fortunate to be seated right away. Our server was quick to the table and we ordered the deviled eggs for an appetizer. Beautifully prepared deviled eggs which were delicious and garnished with maple fried bacon. We ordered the barbecue sandwich, which was pulled pork from ribs. It was a perfect size for lunch. The side was a delicious Cole slaw. I ordered the Palm Beach Salad. A tower layered with avocado, shrimp, crab, tomatoes and accompanied by fresh arugula mix. We were seated at a booth in the bar area, but the noise level was not bad at all. A delicious lunch.

Mark T.

Yelp
Made the reservation about a week prior. Attractive restaurant. I specifically requested a booth. When we arrived they tried to seat us at a table. Finally got the booth. A lunch special was blackened salmon. I ordered that, well done. I had a choice of sides. I specifically asked if they could char the broccolini. If they could, I wanted it. If not, I would get something else. Server assured me they could. When the food arrived the salmon had some type of powdered spice on it, but definitely not blackened. Neither was it cooked well done. Broccolini was steamed, not charred. Had she told me they couldn't char it, there were half a dozen other sides I would've preferred. Had this not been a business lunch I would have returned it all. Service was okay. Had to ask for ice when my iced tea refill had none.

Lee W.

Yelp
Great menu, high end drinks and a top shelf menu, served perfectly. A must for anyone in the area looking for a high end experience.

Steven B.

Yelp
So friggin' loud I couldn't hear myself thinking how much I wanted to leave this over-priced Nashole. It's aways a pleasure to have your family dinner sandwiched between large 3 tables of obnoxiously loud millenials.

Krystle D.

Yelp
Cocktails and food are always great! Some of my favs are the prime rib and burger. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Debra U.

Yelp
Our blonde server from Chicago was wonderful. She knew the menu, pleasant demeanor and super efficient with a willingness to please. I ordered a chocolate martini and when she ask the bartender to make it...it was perfect extra cream just like I asked. Our filet mignon was cooked to perfection. They actually give you a side with your entree at no extra cost. Steaks were reasonably priced and excellent. We will be back. Parking was easy and on site.

Dean H.

Yelp
Went and sat at the bar for dinner and drinks. The service was outstanding and the drinks were made to order. The bar and restaurant blend nicely and one doesn't overtake the other and the place is clean and updated.

Marty K.

Yelp
awesome meal on Goof Friday the plank salmon was perfect and enjoyed some Eagle Rare. The other fish dinners were trusted grout and the trout. i would definitely any of the fish dishes.

Talia S.

Yelp
I have now been to Bricktops twice and enjoyed both experiences! Both times I went were for lunch. The first time, parking was easy as they have a large lot of free parking (which is a total win!) I git the breaded chicken with a side if fettuccine. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The pasta was only okay (but I'm particularly picky with alfredo). The second time was recently for a work holiday lunch. It was PACKED. Parking was extremely difficult, but I ended up finding a spot a couple streets down. I tried- Grilled atrichoke- so flavorful! I would highly recommend Artichoke dip- delicious! Salmon- the salmon itself was really great! I do believe it would have been better with 2 sides. One side option didn't give me quite enough food. Chocolate chip cookie- a little small, but still yummy! Also, the service was great both times. I look forward to going again!

Josh B.

Yelp
It is a little pricey, but it is soooo worth it. Sophisticated atmosphere. Great date ambience.

Margaret O.

Yelp
Excellent food. Excellent service. Beautiful outdoor space! Great drinks! Started with deviled eggs and shrimp. Both very good!! Had Ceaser salad, lobster bisque Salad ok, soup very good Then we had the chicken dish with mashed potatoes, very good! Chicken Milanese was delicious!! Lastly carrot cake, very light, moist, delicious

Alexis G.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! However, tonight's service fell extremely short. Tonight we decided to be on the wild side and sit at the bar. Working in this industry (bartender & server) sometimes you want to just sit at a table. But we wanted the more personal and open conversation space. Our server tonight was Lawrence & he was well. Not very attentive throughout the service. No check in after our food got dropped off or refill on waters without asking. Even when I arrived after my party, I had to call him over to even place my appetizer. Also the demeanor from Danielle wasn't very pleasant either. It seemed as if no servers behind the bar smiles. If they smiled it definitely wasn't given to ALL customers at the bar. However, Maurice came into the bar area at the end of our night with a smile and asked us how our day was and grabbed our finished plates. The most pleasant and nearly only one that even welcomed us with a smile. The food runners/servers that even brought us our food didn't even say what entrees where nor spoke really. Literally just stared at us. We started off with an order of spinach and artichoke dip & the yum yum sushi roll! The sushi rolll was to die for!! It was so good and I normally just eat one piece of a roll but this was WONDERFUL ! I highly recommend that if you like sushi. The spinach on the other hand wasn't really good. It was as if the spinach wasn't as fresh before cooked. For dinner I ordered the chicken Milanese with creamy whipped mashed potatoes & it was pretty good overall. The Parmesan crust was a bit overpowering the champagne blanc sauce. I def recommend drinking a wine with this meal to balance it out! Service at the tables are a lot better, in my opinion. Disappointed in the service mainly.

Jonathan P.

Yelp
BrickTop's is one of the best restaurants in Nashville. The food selection is great and always consistent with fair pricing. The service is personal with people who are attentive and anticipate needs of guests. Managers and owners are active with the staff and guests giving the impression that everyone cares about the guest experience in the building. No matter the occasion, visit BrickTop's. The Meatloaf, French Dip, BBQ Chicken Salad, Tavern Burger, and Chicken Piccata are some of our favorites. Sushi options are fresh and rolled to order. The drink menu is great and the brown liquor selection is one of the best in the city. They carry the well known labels and many that are great to try. ENJOY!!!!

Bob E.

Yelp
Visited BrickTops in Nashville for the first time although we had eaten at the Franklin location. Not disappointed at the Franklin location but dinner in Nashville was excellent. I go to BrickTops or J Alexander's specifically for prime rib since both serve excellent cuts The meal was excellent with loaded baked potatoe The service was outstanding! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Angkear K.

Yelp
I ordered an ahi tuna steak, it was not as flavorful as I wanted to be. Stir fry vegetables were actually very good! The service was phenomenal but that is expected from a white table top restaurant! Devil eggs were delicious but not of the bacon. It was too sweet for my liking.

Tim C.

Yelp
The food here is very consistent in that they reach a high level of perfection each time. Drinks are wonderful and the atmosphere is above average. The servers are friendly and welcoming. A great stop if you're in the area.

Ronette T.

Yelp
Deviled eggs!!!!!! DEVILED Eggs!!!! DEVILED EGGS!!! Everything else was delicious crab cakes, steak, & sides

Chelsea F.

Yelp
We love Bricktop's. If you want something that feels like a local staple. Go here!!! We got the streak, millionaires bacon, lobster bisque, wedge salad, sushi and more. It was delicious. Amazing service too in a quiet but lovely atmosphere.

Casey S.

Yelp
Hands down on of the worst experiences I've had in Nashville today at lunch. Lobster bisque was cold and the sauce on this steak tasted so awful, I let my friend try it and he agreed. Tasted like old anchovies. Not the least bit pleasant. So many people were complaining already about the bisque being cold I didn't wanna be mean to the bartender and send anything back. If anyone from bricktops reads this please reimburse me with a burger meal.

LS J.

Yelp
Their corn pre 2020 used to be the best. Now they nav an overly sweet corn soufflé. Bitter dosent melt on top. Not much corn. The grilled corn and the creamed corn that was pre 2020 was great. Also watch the Pinots their downtown restaurant has more selections and true Oregon Pinots.

Miles F.

Yelp
Great ambiance good a very good value and the service was really good! I have been to several of their locations Naples Florida my FAV
