"This Windsor winery that opened in 2020 is an outdoor paradise made for al-fresco sipping — they have stunning gardens, lakes, vineyard views, and a shaded pavilion — and food is incorporated into everything they do, thanks to expansive culinary gardens. The Sip & Savor tasting ($85) includes six wines, while the Our Roots ($65) features four. Both are paired with small, veggie-forward plates like a summer squash puff pastry or a ground filet beet chicharron. For $70, book the Essentials Picnic and casually sip two glasses of wine while you munch on sandwiches, salads, and bites. On Fridays, Bricoleur hosts a wine and pizza night." - Jess Lander

"The brand-new Bricoleur Vineyards, located on 40 acres in Windsor, Sonoma County, was originally slated to open publicly in May. With its multiple gardens, a barn, and a pavilion, the team was able to pivot its opening, and guests can choose from a number of scenic locations on the property for a tasting." - Sara Button

"Bricoleur, a Windsor winery that’s been over five years in the making, expected to throw a grand opening party on May 2. That, of course, didn’t happen, but on May 23 (the earliest day they could do so, given the area’s public health orders) they finally opened for business, the SF Chronicle reports." - Eve Batey

Michael was a great server/sommelier . He knew everything we wanted to know. Unfortunately, when it came to ordering food, with a different server one of us reiterated twice we did not want to have fries with a lot of salt, but wanted to double fried. It was very Nice and crispy, Like we requested, however it had twice that amount of salt that we would have liked. We didn’t want to be complainers so we just ate it and not sure if you noticed there was some leftover.

A group of six? No problem! We had the best experience. From the moment of arrival, when we were greeted with a beautiful glass of sparkling rosé, to the winemaker personally pouring our delicious tasting. We even had a private tour of the grounds and on site lodgings. Everyone was so wonderful, accommodating even the dietary issues of half of the group. If you have time for the Soaring tasting, don’t skip it. The food and wine will make you happy you did.

Our family has been visiting Bricoleur Vineyards since they opened. We keep coming back because they make you feel like family. The site is surrounded by vineyards, attractive buildings, and event spaces to explore. Excellent wines, amazing food... just an overall good vibe. Explore this incredible winery with friends, family, a special group function, or just a solo trek to take in nature while drinking a glass of excellent wine. Pro-Tip: The Margherita Pizza + Chef Dave manning the Wood Burning Pizza Oven... just... give Dave a Nobel Peace Prize... for pizza!

We came here today for the first time and were absolutely blown away. The wine was a breath of fresh air. The grounds are spectacular. We did the “soaring “ tasting and it was great. Plus we were delighted to find out they had a whole menu of food we could order from as well! We had a yummy margarita pizza and some really good fries!

Google
Stellar experience from start to finish. We had some extra time before our flight and the team at Bricoleur was able to seat us last minute. From the warm greeting we received upon our arrival to the small details such as remembering our names and our city we were flying to, everything about this place was welcoming and friendly. The vineyards are gorgeous and make for ample opportunities for stunning photos and relaxation. The wine and food pairings were thoughtful, creative, pretty and most of all...DELICIOUS. Can't wait to return. Thanks to the team for a wonderful visit.

This place is beyond!!!! A true treasure! We went for the ‘Rooted’ lunch wine pairing and highly recommend this amazing experience. We arrived about 30 minutes early and explored their glorious grounds - one gorgeous photo spot after another! Then we were greeted with a glass of champagne by Candice and escorted into their beautifully restored barn, where we were seated at a gorgeously set table that looked into an open concept kitchen where we got to see and interact with Chef Thomas and his talented team. We were treated like royalty by our knowledgeable and personable host Hope, but every single employee came by to greet us during the course of our lunch, including the owner Mark. They were all warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The food was incredible and complimented their wonderful wine. They even poured some bonus wine selections for us and made some extra little treats that were not on the beautifully personalized anniversary menu they created for us! This was the most special experience. If you’re looking for a truly individualized decadent wine pairing experience, look no further! After lunch we played some table shuffle board and corn hole and enjoyed the beautiful grounds some more, which includes a rose garden, an area with chickens, and even a small lake with elegant black swans swimming around, until we were ready to drive home! Thank you for this incredibly special anniversary celebration!

Google
My husband and I signed up for the Soaring food and wine pairing. Michael was our host. He treated us with the perfect balance of attention and information, and tome alone to enjoy the experience at our own pace. We had a wonderful experience. The tasting room and grounds are beautiful and comfortable. The food was delicious and it was such fun to pair the courses with the wonderful wines. We hope to return soon.

Google
Highly recommend the tasting menu. We celebrated a big birthday and it could not of been more perfect! The relaxed atmosphere by the pond was the perfect setting to try Bricoleurs fine wines. Every bite of food was delectable and we were served by the chef himself. All farm to table and a must for any food and wine enthusiast. Caution you will leave a wine club member!

Yelp
I'll keep this short and sweet. This is the best winery. That's it. People Wine Food Ambiance Views Ambiance In no particular order but the people are truly something.

Yelp
This vineyard stands out among them all in wine country! Of course this place is beautifully built with a scenic view and great wine, but there's so much MORE they offer. A modern open kitchen layout (with private chef's table dinners available). Food pairings/meals that are thoughtful, fresh, and fairly priced. AMAZING service! All staff were friendly and on top of their game. Chris went above and beyond for us and made our visit extra memorable. He made us feel so welcomed, and honestly we could've sat there for hours. Whether you come in for a simple wine tasting or a full course meal, this will be your favorite place you visit!

Yelp
Back to School Family night event was so enjoyable!. The wine was great, the food incredible, and the Bricoleur welcoming and attentive. Shout out to the chef for the incredible brisket and beans. Especially want to recognize Rebeca Robinson for the Panzanella Salad. So glad I'm a club member of this fabulous winery.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Finally saw what all the buzz is about. We were greeted with a smile and delicious glass of bubbles. We had reservations and were seated by the pond which was lovely. Our server Michael was superb. Friendly with great knowledge. He was easy to talk with and we never felt rushed. The food pairing was outstanding. My favorite was the ceviche - I could eat this everyday & be happy. Although I'm not a big Chardonnay fan, theirs was excellent. I also enjoyed the rose bubbles. The setting is spectacular with covered patio seating and indoor as well. Top notch service.

Katarina W.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in all of wine country! Stellar wine and food pairing, grilled cheese and pumpkin soup was AMAZING. Make sure to take time to walk around the property, it is so beautiful. Great reds, good service, stunning interior and exterior. Love them!

Maya D.

Yelp
I went with a group of friends yesterday, and we had a great time! The grounds are beautiful and really well maintained. They have great space outdoors for the many warm days, but the indoor area is also a beautiful barn. Staff were nice and informative, we really enjoyed the wines, and the food pairing was also great. Absolutely recommend, and will be going back myself!

Yelp
I feel like such a lucky gal to be at this vineyard on two different occasions! I came here this first time when my friend treated me to their rooted experience. It's a course menu with a sampling of their wines. Sooo delicious. It's so rare to get both wine and food right at a winery - and I was so pleasantly surprised how the food complemented the wine so perfectly. The grounds at this winery is also so laid back and pleasant. I loved just hanging out on the grass and enjoy a chat with friends afterwards! I felt so lucky to visit this winery again for bastille day! They really went all out and done it up with a delicious picnic and a fun day for all of us- we even had a little one with us. Love that this place is so family friendly, the hostess and staff are always so kind and welcoming. Cheers to the chef for always delighting us with his food!

Sylvie P.

Yelp
4.5/5 Wonderful wine tasting! We had an afternoon wine tasting and it was the perfect place to be! We had their soaring tasting that showcased 3 types of wines paired with 3 small bites. The wines were great and paired very well with the curated small bites. I am still thinking about the lamb skewer with the baba ghanoush paired with the Zinfandel! I was also a big fan of the rosé of Grenache! Service was friendly and it was a very relaxing ambiance.

Connie H.

Yelp
The food the service and of course the wine was incredible. Attended Bricoleur back to school family dinner last night - as 4 adults, there was a separate area for children's games and antics away from us more quiet diners. Very thoughtful And the food-- The green tomato salad was iepic, the brisket is world class and the strawberry shortcake finished off a beautiful meal. The ambiance and service is divine. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Art G.

Yelp
We got a local recommendation about this winery. It was significantly better than we expected. While the winery building and grounds are spectacular, the wines, service, and tasting was among, if not the best we have ever encountered. The wines, particularly the Sauvignon Blank, Pinot Noir, and zinfandel were really good. Service and presentation by Taryn were exceptional. They provide a pairing of food with the above wines that matched perfectly. The grounds and garden added a great ending to our experience. We absolutely recommend this winery and plan to come back.

Irene Y.

Yelp
This experience was a 5 star wow. The food and wine pairings were terrific, the ambiance perfect and the people working there fabulous. This is an experience not to miss!!

K M.

Yelp
Beautiful property to explore and enjoy the views while wine tasting, dining and shopping. We had the wine pairing experience which was well presented and felt so regal! Their boldest wine is a Pinot for the Pinot lovers. Recommend a visit

Yelp
So I write this review with mixed feelings as I normally do not like to write less than 4 star reviews but this is based on OVERALL experience. First off this place is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The interior of the barn to the surrounding outdoor patio/seating areas are clean, welcoming, and beautiful. We had a staggered arrival for our party due to traffic but the vineyard was very accommodating. We did a wine and food pairing and loved the wine and each dish. The chef was very gracious and I liked the fact that they pulled ingredients they grew themselves. Our hostess was also very pleasant and entertaining through the tasting. There was also a sweet special guest- the baby of the vineyard and she was a real delight! After the tasting we were able to order additional food and bottles that we took to their outdoor patio. We had such a great time. Our favorite was a brut - fly by the seat of our pants. The issues arose during the billing process that resulted in 3 separate incidents. So note - be sure to review your bill before authorizing any payments. Our issues were resolved pretty quickly but there was some attitude involved and a bit of blame that left a sour taste and not one that has us feeling we need to revisit. Photo credit is not mine but many friends who contributed to our shared album.

Yelp
My family has been here for 5 generations, and while I have moved away, I continue to visit at least once a year. Bricoleur is a relative newcomer, but it has captured the spirit of Sonoma County in a way that blows me away, in what I can only describe as an elevated and yet casually sophisticated way. Highly, highly recommend. The wines, the ambience, the food, the service...5 stars across the line.

Karina R.

Yelp
Very cute winery. Many cute areas to sit and enjoy wine and take pictures. They have a rose Garden, vegetable and herb garden, and chickens. I would recommend this place. The Rose was really good! I usually don't like rose because they are too sweet but this was the best rose I've had

K K.

Yelp
Did a food and wine pairing here. Loved the Chardonnay and Syrah. The welcome bubbles was excellent as well. Great price for the portions. Also ordered a bowl of French Fries which weee outstanding with the Chardonnay and the Bubbles. Excellent service from Tara and Ryan(SKOL Vikes). The indoor and outdoor spaces are equally amazing. Would highly recommend to friends.

Steven H.

Yelp
Firstly, this is a fantastic location and facility where you can just get away from everything and enjoy being in the country, yet it is 5 mins outside of Windsor. The wines are consistently good and nicely priced. Having one of their pizzas along side the tasting is a super way to go. Highly recommend to put this winery on your tasting tour.

Gina B.

Yelp
Beautiful views, delicious food and scrumptious wines. All curated by the most amazing people. So friendly and knowledgeable, did I mention welcoming? From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Highly recommend stopping in, and if you have time for a pairing, you will be asking for recipes like we did!

Samer H.

Yelp
I reserved the "Rooted" package online for the 4 of us and we were sure in for a treat. This is a beautiful winery inside and out. It felt very cozy and classy at the same time. We had small courses of unique dishes paired with wine that's all methodically thought out and only used for a limited time before they cycle for the next pairings and unique food creations. It was all so delicious! The staff was passionate about the food and wine they served and very informative on the history of the winery. Will definitely be coming back here!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. A few months ago, my boyfriend and I were recommended Bricoleur by a friend. We made it out there, a lovely drive by the way, and we were blown away. Luxury meets unpretentious and quality service and products. I wish I grabbed the name of the host who greeted us, blonde woman if I remember correctly, she was so welcoming and kind. The Rooted food pairing was amazing; three wines with three elegant and tasty food pairings that complimented and enhanced the wine perfectly. Our wine guide/expert was Taryn who made our experience even better than it already was. She is a sweetheart and went out of her way to make our time at Bricoleur special. My boyfriend was not a fan of one of the zinfandels and so she brought him another; I really like unoaked chardonnay and she brought me a pour of the unoaked chardonnay in addition to our flight. We both had minor dietary restrictions and Both were accommodated with no issue. We ended up getting a few bottles and joining the club. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you all so much!

Willow R.

Yelp
A really great experience!! Riley was fantastic, a great host and truly a joy to be hosted by. Very knowledgeable about her wines and excellent at describing the food pairing. The food pairing itself was good, really good, very very very good but not great for the wine. A chef reminded me today that making food for specific wines is really hard. Finding wine for food when you have all the choices in the world (like farmhouse) is easy. The Pinot was nice, the Syrah had potential but felt a little thin. I didn't care for the rest of the wines we tried but one or two that I didn't try sounded promising. I'm happy to give them another chance. The location is destined to be amazing. It's great right now but the lodge/main building feels a bit vacant. The grounds and areas for dinners look incredible. Happy to welcome this new winery to Windsor

Mary Ann M.

Yelp
Wow!!! How much fun can you have with girls having fun on a Thursday! We arrived and were greeted with a glass of bubbles and taken to our table. We had am incredible table with a view. Then they brought the wine with food pairings. Every bite incredible!! And they made it gluten free for me! Thank you so much! I ended up joining because it was just so much fun and great wine too!

Puja B.

Yelp
This was our first vineyard on our Sonoma tour. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with a pond and swans. They provided food for our kids to feed the wildlife. The service was amazing and friendly and our dishes were exquisite. Even the kids pizza was amazing. Definitely one of our favorite tasting experiences to date. Please go and do the food and wine tasting you won't regret it!

Holly E.

Yelp
I freaking love Bricoleur vineyards. It's my favorite wine club membership! They do so many fun events, the staff is incredible, and omg the food and wine pairing is off the charts. I haven't missed a single one. I recently went to their harvest dinner (my first) and was blown away! The table seating and reception with their sparkling and treats was breathtaking. Highly recommend and will keep coming back for more.

Ian B.

Yelp
My wife and I are in the founders wine club here. We followed Chris Richard from Handley Cellars. Chris knows how to take care of his customers! They have great wines, but you really must come here and enjoy one of their wine and food pairings. It is really incredible their ability to pair a plate with wine and how much one enhances the other. The pizza's are to die for! The atmosphere is beyond fantastic. There is not a place in California where we enjoy the food and atmosphere more than here. You won't be disappointed.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Such a stunning winery! We were recommended by a friend. We went during their soft opening in 2020 to celebrate our anniversary. The staff is wonderful and very personable. We had a lovely time and would love to visit again.

Judy C.

Yelp
First experience at this winery was excellent! Wonderful staff and gorgeous facility!! Wine is excellent and we highly recommend coming here!

Rym D.

Yelp
This winery is amazing for many reasons: 1) The people - Mark, the owner, kindly greeted us when we got there. That says a lot about him and the way he runs his business! The executive Chef, Thomas Bellec, came to check on us a couple of times during our tasting experience. Our waiter was so friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, we LOVED the people! 2) The food - it was mind blowing! Chef Thomas' food is simply excellent. Every bite transported us to a different cuisine - French, Asian, and Oriental. It was the perfect blend of flavors and foods. And to make it better, the chef surprised us with a complimentary dessert tasting for our anniversary. We will never forget the Chef's kindness and food. 3) The property - the grounds are breathtaking! The atmosphere is serene and peaceful; everything we were looking for. 4) The wine - the wines we tasted were great, especially "The Last Note" which is a dessert wine. We ended it up getting a bottle! Overall, 10/10!! We will go back.

Robin M.

Yelp
We were at Bricoleur vineyards yesterday for an afternoon engagement celebration given to us by friends. We could not have been more impressed. The wine was outstanding, and we picked up two bottles of the Pinot Noir 2018. The accompanying food was amazing, beautifully displayed, and the staff could not have been more professional and welcoming. Our server took a lot of time to explain everything, and even the chef came by to say hello and wish us well. The room, with high ceilings and large windows is a warm and beautiful space. Our day could not have been more perfect, and such a wonderful way to kick off our engagement and next chapter. We highly recommend this place for either a casual day or more special occasion. Thank you!

Lauren Z.

Yelp
Yum!!! My husband and I did the food and wine pairing lunch here and it was phenomenal. Upon arrival, you are given a glass of the rose bubbles which might have been my favorite wine. We were seated outside by a lake on a beautiful day. The first 2 rose wines were brought out followed shortly after by our first 2 food pairings. The watermelon and wine paired very nicely but the salmon dish was our favorite in this pairing. Next we received 2 white wines along with a halibut and a corn custard. My husband said the fish was his favorite of the meal, but that corn custard really blew me away. I'm craving it just writing this review. Finally we received 2 red wines and a mushroom steak and a pork belly dish. Both were great but I loved the mushroom steak. Finally they brought us out some truffles infused with a wine syringe and a dessert wine to top off the meal. Can never go wrong with chocolate. To top it off our server was very friendly and informative as were the chefs who brought the food. I would definitely come here on a visit to Sonoma or a special occasion meal- you won't regret it.

Maria H.

Yelp
Ok let me say this winery is fairly new but the experience was nothing but amazing! The vineyard is beautiful, olive trees, herb gardens, the pavilion, the black swans in the water just BEAUTIFUL. We were lucky enough to enjoy the sip and savor experience while in town for a ladies birthday getaway. Karla was our hostess with the mostest and she was the best! We had the pleasure of tasting an exceptional tasting courtesy of Chef Becca with so many of the ingredients grown on the property itself! The personalities of both the staff we fantastic......they played so nicely off each-other in presenting us with our wines and plates. We loved everything and will be back without a doubt! We even had the pleasure of chatting with the Owner Mr. Mark Hanson. Thank you Bricoleur for an unforgettable birthday experience.

Minnie W.

Yelp
Super beautiful winery. I guess they just open last year in May that's why they have only 16 reviews in total. But the experience was fantastic. Make reservation first so that you get a seat with nice view! They gave you a whole cup of fish food for free, so that you can enjoy the privilege of being the king of black swan ducks and fish lol. The wine tasting go with the food really well and it's a pretty fun and cost-effective experience. Highly recommend!!

Stuart H.

Yelp
100% - without question, the best winery experience we had in all of Sonoma. A must go. Please - make sure you do the meal pairing. It was perfectly paired, incredibly tasted, timing was relaxing, and speaking with the chef and owner and wine experts throughout was such a treat. Make sure you save enough time to tour the grounds. The wildlife, chickens, flowers and gardens, vineyards... all so special. Cannot wait to come back!

Sarah B.

Yelp
Wow! The buildings, and grounds stunning. The entire experience was amazing. Superb wine and excellent food and wine pairing. My spouse and I visited several weeks ago, and we cant say enough good about our experience. We ended up joining the the club!

Kathy S.

Yelp
Great wine, Hope was a great host and it was a. absolutely beautiful setting. The food pairings were magnificent! Joined the club and looking forward to going again.

Will M.

Yelp
Great property, solid wines, and loved our picnic(it was 103 degrees so had to do it inside). A fun stop off the beaten path a bit but well worth it

Danica M.

Yelp
One of the best wineries I've been to. Honestly, had the best time here from the service to the food to the wine. It was exceptional. Upon entering, we were greeted so warmly and had personalized tasting menus. Such a beautiful touch! The tasting menu that we received was French and one of the best french meals we've ever had. It was absolutely delicious! Our server was amazing and became genuine friends with her! She toured us around the property and recommended her favorite spots around Windsor. After walking around, we got peckish and ordered a fire roasted fig and brie pizza. I have no words for that, it was *chef's kiss*. The wine was so great that we ordered bottles home and after we finished those, ordered more online. Overall, a must try when in Sonoma County!

Josh H.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience. Everyone so very nice and really enjoyed the wine\food pairing. The grounds are gorgeous. Plenty of parking and space to rome around. Absolutely loved the Pinot Noir and sauvignon blanc. Would have loved to stay longer. Thank you Taylor and the rest for your hospitality.

George M.

Yelp
What a great place! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.... awesome setting.... comfortable AND luxurious. The wine style is austere.... very Sonoma. The food and wine pairing is exceptional. The entire tasting was very impressive. Want to see a full review? Follow this https://youtu.be/er6Q9s-yEFE

Yelp
Overpriced average food & wine.Beautiful spacious grounds. Average but friendly service. I am happy to go try out other places.

J H.

Yelp
We enjoyed a fantastic anniversary luncheon tasting. They call it Rooted. Everything we ate embraced the farm to table approach, locally sourced, with vegetables, herbs and edible flowers from their gardens on the property. Beautifully presented and frankly we enjoyed every bit of it. Their wine is delicious and fairly priced. We particularly liked their Chardonnays and Pinot Noir. Lastly, Ryan served us, and he, our chef, and others who chatted with us helped make this truly memorable. All make this an excellent choice for you to visit.

sherry x.

Yelp
The lunch food pairing is really good. I'm not a white wine person but their pairing really impressive. You can tell they really put a lot of thoughts into it. The price is also quite reasonable. The price for their wine though is a bit too high.

Marty P.

Yelp
Amazing property, wines and staff. We got to enjoy several different wines and our host was just amazing very well educated and loves his job. Got a full tour of the complete property which is just gorgeous several rentals at different sizes from a two bedroom , three bedroom four bedroom and the mansion! Which I believe was five or six bedrooms. In-house chef they do a food and wine pairing program which we didn't get a tray but it was explained in detail how it works and can't wait to go back for that. Took home several wines can't wait to go back and bring friends!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The "barn" is lovely- great views both directions. Our waiter was knowledgeable about both the food and wine. He explained it very well. The empanadas were particularly good. We enjoyed the wine so much we joined their club. The grounds are beautiful. We even made a new friend while walking the grounds!

Jennie C.

Yelp
Wow. I've been to over 10 wineries so far in the Sonoma/Napa area and this is in the top 3 for sure. All of the food is good - way better than other wineries! But really need to give the shout out to Chris. He is super knowledgeable about the wine - does a great job of explaining the process, flavors, and what foods pair well. Service was also elevated with an explanation of the foods from the chef which is super rare for wineries. There were extra pours and a recommended pork belly pizza. My sister signed up for the wine club since it was so good and while I don't drink wine at home, I am in the city and plan to be back! If Chris continues the great service and chefs keep producing great food I don't see how they wouldn't last for a long, long time.

Jason Z.

Yelp
A most excellent experience. Beautiful outdoor grounds and and lovely setting in a pond with swans to watch while experiencing a marvelous array of delicious foods paired with a few delectable Bricolour wines. An unforgettable experience that we look forward to repeating on our next trip. And did I mention the knowledgeable and friendly staff to help you and the most congenial owner who visits your table to make everyone feel welcome?

Chase H.

Yelp
We've had three wonderful experiences so far at Bricoleur. The first was a picnic with lunch and rosé pairing, the second was a dinner event with wine pairing, and the last was a family pizza dinner night where we brought our three year old. The staff, including Sarah, Chris, and Shane, were all incredibly attentive, personable, and knowledgeable. The grounds are massive, varied, well manicured, and overall gorgeous. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Staci F.

Yelp
Phenomenal pairings, try the Sip and Savor experience. Incredible staff and chefs. Crazy good pairings. Great food great wine. A must do in Sonoma County!

Hallie A.

Yelp
Beautiful winery in Guerneville area. The grounds are amazing, as are the food, wine and service. We had the wine and food pairing, each described by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. One of the owners and the chef came by to welcome us too. Delightful experience. We joined the wine club and looking forward to our next visit!
