Superb Greasy Spoon Cafes for a Full English Breakfast Fry Up in London | Eater London

"Sat atop a bridge connecting a residential pocket of north Acton with an industrial estate, The Bridge is owned by Frank and Jerry Marcangelo, who come from a line of Italian cafe owners. The Bridge was made famous thanks to its proximity to the television studios used to film BBC show The Apprentice. It is where the show’s losers go to sit despondently with mugs of builders’ tea and ruminate on their “firing”, though they reportedly never dine. They ought to, though, as the place serves a good English breakfast and an even better ham, egg and chips (the latter of which are crispy and golden). 2014 Apprentice runner-up Luisa Zissman referred to the cafe as “that hole” in her Sun column — there has been no better endorsement." - Josh Barrie

Loving the Apprentice, I have wanted to visit The Bridge almost since day one. Today was the day, and it lived up to all my expectations and more. The staff were so kind, patient and welcoming, putting up with my excited Brummie prattle, even posing for photos, as well as helping in taking them. Loved the little bits of insider knowledge, which made it such a wonderfu, magical visit. I cannot thank Gerry and Frank and the lady assistant (sorry, I didn't catch her name) enough, it was a dream come true! The bacon and sausage sandwiches were perfect, although I was almost to excited to eat. Mug of tea perfection! I also have, what will be a much treasure Bridge Cafe mug. Thank you again

The staff make this place. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was good but is wagamama style and you get your food as it comes when it comes. Food is traditional and well made.

As a fan of the UK TV show the Apprentice I have always wondered if the Bridge Cafe was even real or just for TV. To my pleasure I can tell you that it really does exist! My even bigger pleasure is that it’s exactly the same as TV and the food is amazing. The owners have had it for more than 50 years and they still love what they do. It really shows because the food was a proper English breakfast and it was served piping hot with a nice cup of tea. It’s exactly as it says on the tin with good food and good service. What’s not to love? It was so good I even bought a mug from them as a wonderful memory. Even if you have not seen the TV show you need to go……… Highly recommend to you all 😎

Bridge Cafe is not just a cafe, it is a place where you want to come back again and again. It is ideal for meeting friends, having a romantic date or just to enjoy a cup of fragrant coffee alone, watching the life of the city. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality service, delicious food and a cozy atmosphere.

If you imagine a traditional greasy spoon cafe this is what you would get. However the food is not greasy it's perfectly cooked, the menu is simple with all your cafe favourites traditional breakfasts, sausage, egg & chips etc The owners are wonderful very friendly Yes it's the cafe from the apprentice but it's so much more then that one of the best cafes I've been to in a while perfect in every way if your looking for a artisan posh style cafe go somewhere else if your looking for somewhere with good food, drinks and service clean and tidy with high standards then the bridge cafe is a must.
