The espresso was pretty good with pleasant crema, full body, okay heart. The donut was very good, fairly light with a nice amount of chocolate frosting. The barista at Bridgeport is pretty efficient so you won't wait very long for your coffee which is good if you're on the way to work.

Just have to say “wow.” Truly magnificent coffee and great service. I walked here from my hotel right at 6 am yesterday to get one more cup before going to the airport to fly home. Look forward to returning next time I’m in Chicago.

A Starbucks lies at most 50 feet away from this Bridgeport Coffee location, but to say there is a night and day difference between them would be the understatement of the century. They've got excellent coffee and tea as well as delicious treats and breakfast food to hold you over during a longer stay.

Small but sufficient size for a café. Great coffee, friendly service and a good selection of sweets makes this a good option.

Loved this place totally. The baristas were cheerful and welcoming and the coffee was on point with the best Chicago has to offer.

The staff here is really friendly and helpful. But the coffee here is really mediocre. This about the same level as coffee at a Starbucks. The price is pretty reasonable but if you are looking for good coffee this isn’t the place I would go. They do a dark roast and if you like that than you may like the coffee more than I did.

This is another place I've gone by several times but never went in until now. Way better than the Hyde Park location. It's actually cozy and has simple decor and an atmosphere that is nothing like the corporate places around here. It reminds me of what cafes used to be when Chicago was less sleek and cold. I'm surprised such a cafe exists around here because it's right downtown. I'll be back.

Hand to God, the soy latte I am currently enjoying is the best latte — soy or otherwise — that I have ever consumed. And yes, I've been to Rome, Paris, and Seattle. And Portland. And many Intelligensias. I was headed to dumb Starbucks during a working Sunday in the Loop and realized Bridgeport Coffee was there on Jackson. Dang. Local *and* the best coffee ever? Score. This is not a paid review! I don't think that's even possible but this review is legit. I am going to go have more of this latte, now.
