"This is where the $60 threshold gets tricky. A pair could easily spend $130 at Brighton Bodega. But if it’s a couple of shared apps and one drink the pair is after — a quick date, one that doesn’t force its participants to bear each other’s idiosyncrasies for more than an hour — then this Brighton eatery is doable. The bacon-wrapped wagyu hot dog is worth an order." - Terrence Doyle

Brighton Bodega is our go to. The menu changes often and it is extensive meaning a long list of carefully crafted choices. The food is expertly done and always delicious. The menu is thoughtful. Recognizable food with a twist and very creative. Nice cocktails, delicious wine. Lots of interesting beer. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. You can share or just order your own meal. The duck bao is something we always start with, fish a favorite but this chef does everything well. His steak is to die for. We’ve brought many friends here.

Google
Bodega is always a great time whether it’s with a date or with a group of friends. The plates can all easily be shared and really should be for the best experience. There are some really creative dishes that you won’t find anywhere else that will blow you way. Apart from some staple dishes, my party usually tries at least 1-2 new dishes each visit and with their seasonal menu there’s always excite new things to try. I would definitely recommend multiple visits!

Google
Service; incredible. Cocktails: Incredible meal: incredible. Taste buds literally dancing with joy. I got the cheese board and the steak. Cool interesting flavor profiles and 22 for a steak and potatoes and mushrooms that are this good? Yes.

Google
Favorite restaurant in Boston!!! Highly recommend to anyone who likes share plates style restaurants. They have dishes from all different types of cuisines and excellent cocktails. The outdoor seating in the summer is also beautiful and a fun atmosphere.

Went here on a whim right before dinner time, around 5 pm on a Saturday and got a seat right away. It was pouring rain that day so there weren't many people there but it did pick up around 6 pm. Tapas style so we shared our dishes. Just 2 of us. Got the duck in the buns, gongcha wings, and lobster rolls. I do not recommend the lobster rolls as there were 3 for 32$ and wasn't worth the price. Tasted ok. Buns could be more buttery. The duck and wings were 💣. Wings were mild and sweet. The duck had some sweet sauce and the buns were nice and soft 😉. Also got the blueberry cheese cake dessert thing. Was ok but i don't recommend. We got 3 cocktails and didn't like any of them to recommend. The drinks are on the harder side so if you prefer that then you got options. I definitely recommend this spot and I would go back to try other items. Our server John was great and said the menu changes frequently. The service was also quick and did not affect the quality.

Google
Delicious food!! They have shareable plates, so my boyfriend and I got 3 things to share. It was just the right amount of food and it was all so good. We got the pork dumplings, Nashville chicken buns and lobster rolls. Great service as well. We will definitely be back!

Such an incredible staff who were remarkably welcoming and kind! Tried their wagyu burger and their steak tacos that were also phenomenal! Definitely returning!

Google
Food : The food at Brighton Bodega was pretty average. Would recommend the Korean Fried Cauliflower Buns. I didn’t at all liked the taste of Quesadilla Verde. It had plaintain inside which has a taste similar to Banana. And I have never had cooked banana. The cheese and the salsa was good inside the quesadilla but the plaintain ruined it for me. As per my husband - he said the pork dumpling was average. As per cocktails - he ordered the LA CURA. That was decent. You should get it only if you like AMARETTO. It had a mix of honey and lemon too. Ambience: Pretty decent. Young crowd and too loud music.

Yelp
fun spot with lots of interesting dishes! we sat outside and the ambiance was very cute with the string lights and lanterns. dishes we tried - korean fried cauliflower buns: 10/10 I did not expect to ever enjoy cauliflower this much - ragu gnocchi: flavorful comfort food, nice pillowy texture - peking ravioli dumplings: nothing special but solid dumplings - scallion pancakes w/ figs: experimental combination, the flavors were very subtle; it was not great but not bad - may pass on this - churros: plentiful portions, delicious vanilla gelato service was excellent; attentive and friendly. they said the menu changes frequently so would definitely come another time to try different dishes.

Yelp
Brighton Bodega is a fun restaurant that serves unique fusion dishes. The ones we enjoyed the most were their Korean Cauliflower Baos and Tuna Ceviche. Those were 5/5 for texture, flavors, and overall concept. The Nashville Chicken Baos were doused in so much buffalo sauce that you couldn't taste much else. The Boulangerie Potatoes with Lamb were a bit too oily, but I enjoyed the acidity of the watercress salad it came with. Service was decent - the wait was rather long, but the servers are very nice. Overall, would definitely recommend to visit if you're around the area.

Yelp
Went here on a weekday night with some friends. The outdoor seating area was great -- they had lantern lights and tasteful decor to set the vibe. The food was fantastic -- I ordered the Wagyu Ghost Pepper Tacos and curly fries to share with the table. The tacos were great -- would highly recommend! Curly fries were underwhelming but got the job done. Overall really solid experience and would go back!

Yelp
Such a great spot in Brighton for some delicious food! It's kind of a weird restaurant concept- food from all different cuisines brought to you whenever it's ready. But we love it. Everything I have eaten here has been absolutely delicious, from Indian to Mexican to Italian. The menu changes regularly, which is nice so you don't end up always eating the same things. Cocktails are also delicious. My one complaint is that the two tops are not quite big enough for all the food you end up with at once. I could use a little more space. But otherwise a wonderful meal.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Street parking 2 hrs, look for signs. The bar is really nice, opens late until 1/2am. Tried the trail seeker drink and fire flower. The trail seeker is deliciously freshening and the right amount of sweet. Ambiance 10/10 good date spot. Tried the noodles (3.5/5), Nashville buns 5/5, duck buns 5/5. The Nashville chicken buns were better than the duck buns in my opinion. Would eat and drink here again.

Yelp
Our dinner here was spectacular! We loved the food, ambiance and service. The dishes were so flavorful. Everyone who works here was so good to us and super helpful. They accommodated our request to sit at a corner table and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Even the hostess was so nice and helpful. Our server was Tess and she is amazing. She is the most compassionate server I have ever met and mind you, I eat out a lot. She is super patient and also very helpful with suggestions on the menu. She knows the menu very well and gives her honest opinion. When we ate here, it was our first time dining outside with our newborn and I was feeling anxious and overwhelmed. But Tess helped us so much without any judgement. She was very accommodating. We need more people like her in this world. Thank you Tess for making my first dinner outside with my baby a memorable one.

Yelp
This was a good spot for a last minute reservation. The inside was nice and our service was standard. It's a tapas style menu said the server but the plates we got were bigger than what we expected which is always good. I loved the Tom yum fried rice except the peppers didn't taste cooked so I put them to the side. The duck bao was really dry if you didn't get a bit with sauce. The beef and broccoli was super tasty. And the lava cake was fantastic and gooey. Will be back for sure

Yelp
Had a great experience at Brighton Bodega! Came here on a weeknight with a friend for dinner. The ambiance was cool and the food was even better. We were seated right away around 6:30. We started off with drinks; I ordered the La Cura cocktail. I was hoping for a sweet drink which this was not really~ however I still enjoyed it. My friend got one of the drink specials for taco Tuesday and it looked so pretty! I just forget what it was called unfortunately. The food was surprisingly very delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect for a casual spot like this, and was also a little confused about whether this was an Asian or Mexican place but I was pleasantly surprised with this fusion. The cauliflower steam buns were so yummy, the korean fried cauliflower was crunchy and the sauce was a great touch. Highly recommend this dish. I also would recommend the gnocchi~ the texture and flavoring were so on point. The teriyaki dish was yummy too just wasn't my favorite of the three. These filled the two of us up and were just right. Overall, I had a great experience at this place and would certainly go back!

Tlaloc R.

Yelp
Delicious food with a great atmosphere. If you can order one thing from the menu, please get the Korean fried cauliflower. Eggplant fries are a revelation (but get the truffle ketchup instead of the garlic aioli). Attentive staff and rapid service after ordering your small plates. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A 3.5. Typical I don't round up but the innovation and service enthusiasm tipped the scale upwards. I love the old building and the motif. A group of 4, we started with the Burrato. 4 tasty pieces of bread like pancakes with figs. The portion was small, as were all the dishes, offering only a taste when shared. We got 4 shareable. The scallops, short ribs, gnocchi and a cheeseburger ( which was tough to quarter). All were tasty, innovative in style and presentation, and small. The scallops dish offered one per person. The short ribs in a kimci with broth was so tasty the broth could not be wasted. We were still hungry and had room for the Irish sticky pudding and the caramel apple crumble. I liked the Irish pudding a lot, a fluffy cake much lighter then it looked. With cocktails (2 each) the tab was about $280 with tip, $140 per couple.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in brighton! I really love their lobster risotto, THE CACIO E PEPE GNOCCHI, the bao buns, Korean oysters. My boyfriend and I come here a lot! So cute inside and the patio is stunning :)

Kaylee W.

Yelp
My first ever Lobstah roll and it was DELICIOUS!! The bread was so soft and it is served with a good portion of butter. Enough to split between two people! The chips were good but we also had a side of curly fries that were phenomenal! The dipping sauces for the curly fries were so tasty! The outside patio area was so cute and very boho vibes. Our waitress was so sweet! We were her first large party and she did an amazing job! LOVED this place!!!

Yelp
I came to Brighton Bodega for a friend's birthday dinner. We made a reservation for a Thursday night, which was a good idea as the restaurant was packed. This was my first time dining in at the restaurant rather than ordering takeout and I was so impressed by the decor and ambiance. It is impeccably decorated and super trendy inside. The menu was expansive both in terms of food and drink options - it was hard to pick what to order since there were so many great options to choose from. You can either go for more full-sized entrees like the burger or for a tapas experience. I opted to go with smaller dishes to share so that I could try more - we ordered the wagyu tacos, the fish tacos, and the peking ravioli dumplings. All were super tasty, but the fish tacos were a standout dish in my opinion. During my time here, I also tried the Bodega G+T and La Cura cocktails. The G+T was light and refreshing and on the complete other end of the scale, La Cura was smoky and deep. I would recommend either one depending on your taste - I personally enjoyed both. I look forward to stopping back in at some point in the near future to try out even more dishes!

Yelp
I went here over the summer and haven't stopped thinking about this meal since so... here is my belated review. WOW. Everything here was SO GOOD. It's rare for me to go to a restaurant and feel so good about each dish we got. We ordered oysters, two with Vietnamese dressing, steak tacos, a salmon ceviche dish, duck tacos, scallops with beans (not pictured), and tres leches. The fact that we ordered so much and I couldn't think of a flaw for a single dish should say a lot. My absolute favorite was the tres leches... best tres leches in my life. It looks like they've changed their menu a bit since the last time I came, so you know where to find me once I go back. I've lived in Boston for most of my life, and the fact that this is probably one of my favorite restaurants, if not my favorite, should say a lot. Run, don't walk, to Brighton Bodega!

Nicole D.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Drinks were okay. Nice vibe to the spot. Reservations can be made online which is great. Server was quick and helpful.

Sara Jieyi T.

Yelp
This is a great hangout spot with unique mix of cocktails and delicious food! We brought a friend who was visiting from out of town and absolutely enjoy our time there. For someone who is very particular about her drinks, I was amazed by the taste of Empress Endless Vacation (highly recommend!). The appetizers, main course and desserts were fabulous too! My waitress was friendly and provided us with food recommendations from the menu. This place gets crowded quickly at night (we waited 30 minutes on a Thursday night) so make sure to make reservation!

Emily T.

Yelp
Had dinner at Brighton Bodega based on a friends recommendation and I am glad I did! They have a lot of seating both indoor and outdoor. Service was slow in the beginning as I guess there was confusion with the servers on whether or not we were already being waited on, but as soon as that cleared up service was smooth and fast. I enjoyed everything I ate - and that sticky toffee pudding is to die for! 100% recommend coming here and may be best to have a reservation as it can be a long wait on the weekends.

Laure H.

Yelp
Very cute place for a date or outing with friends. I ordered a salad and the duck bao but the the meat was a little too fried for me and hard to chew. Otherwise cool place but a bit loud, so not the best for a quiet evening

Joy G.

Yelp
Several standouts that make Brighton Bodega a regular in our restaurant rotation: 1. The menu has something for everyone, from seafood to meat/cheese to veggies. Lots of creative pairings and combos, plus a sizable drink menu. 2. For a tapas restaurant, the portions were pretty generous. I can see how if you come with a larger group, you should order a lot more but as between me and my husband, we got around 5 dishes and were more than satisfied. 3. Don't sleep on the oysters! These were a good mouthful, really juicy, and they were generous with the sauces. 4. Everything we ordered was delicious. The tuna ceviche was well-balanced with just the right amount of acidity and a touch of heat. The thing that impressed me most of all was the attention of detail paid to the fine cubes of tuna - no tendon or stringy bits. Beautiful knife work in a dish that otherwise could have relied on everything else going on to hide sloppy cuts. The salad of mozz, figs, arugula, and summer heirloom tomatoes was beautifully presented and generous on all of the ingredients. The only thing I might not order again was the quesadilla - the cheetos did not add much. It's really obvious from all these dishes that someone is paying attention in the kitchen and sending out quality. 5. Definitely get the fried cauliflower and duck buns. These were not the traditional fully enclosed buns that I grew up eating but the Momofuku-style ones. Though the cauliflower one wowed on the first bite, I preferred the duck for how the flavors and textures grew as you kept eating. Our waiter was awesome! When we considered whether to add a burger to the meal, he told us we had ordered enough food. Appreciate the honesty, instead of trying to upsell us with more dishes. Parking: there's a muni lot just across the street (think it's marked as #2 on the map) with a two-hour limit during the weekdays and no limit on the weekends. Be careful about the crosswalk though. There's no yield sign and cars will just plow right through.

Woo K.

Yelp
One of the best things I've eaten in MA. Flavors were spot on everywhere. Textures were spot on. Mussels were awesome. Tacos were amazing. Bao's were impressive. The ambiance is nice. Staff super nice. Will definitely come back. P.S. make reservations.

Aya R.

Yelp
Dining method: Dine-in Item(s) ordered: Cauliflower Bao, Noodles, Ceviche, Asparagus, Empress's Endless Vacation cocktail Speed: Food on the table in about 15 minutes! The short answer: An Asian-Tapas fusion, Brighton Bodega is a unique and fun spot to grab a bite (or a big meal!) with friends. The long answer: With plenty of vegetarian options and lots of vegan and gluten-free modifications, Brighton Bodega has something for everyone. The vibes of the place were dim and modern, while the staff were lovely and extremely accommodating, with an in-depth knowledge of the menu. The bao were simultaneously soft and crunch and umami and salty. The noodles were wonderfully stir fried with a little bit of spice. Though vegetarian, I was intrigued by the ceviche and went for a taste. Pretty good! And the accompanying plantain chips and guac were a hit. The Empress was probably one of the best cocktails I've had. Bubbly, lots of gentle flavor, and not too sweet! Will definitely be returning!

Michelle M.

Yelp
Started visiting during the pandemic when outdoor dining took over. They have a cute patio with music and the vibes are very chill! Love being there in the warmer months. The service was good and the staff was friendly. We order a cheese board which was phenomenal and some korean buns which also really good. Parking can be tricky around there but it's worth it!

Liz C.

Yelp
I used to work here back in the day, and I still think about their food all the time. I'm definitely biased, but I think the service is great. I love the creative rotating menu and the quality of the food is incredible. Perfect ambiance for a date night or drinks with friends. Tip your servers!

George B.

Yelp
Best restaurant I've tried in Brighton so far. Lots of tasty small plates to try, and each of them was excellent. Good cocktail selection too. Plantain chips with the tuna ceviche were great and I haven't had something like that before. Buratta was one of the best I've ever had. We also tried the gnocchi (10/10). Overall loved the selection and we got amazing and friendly service (including a recommendation for the best dessert I've had in months). Irish sticky pudding is an absolute must try so we really appreciated the recommendation great music and decor too. absolutely worth going and hope to go again soon

Cayla K.

Yelp
Reservations recommended. However, we were able to walk in on a Thursday night and got seated right away. Modern vibes and solid aesthetic. However very, very, loud. All dishes were served 'family style' but also kinda tapas where they're smaller portions. We picked 2 things per person. And ultimately couldn't fully finish everything we ordered. Pumpkin Gnocchi was our favorite. Pork belly lettuce wraps were our second. Scallops were also second ‍ Macaroni & cheese tacos were tasty but not spectacular. I'd probably order again if it were a bit cheaper. Coconut crusted paneer- I wanted to love this, but feel like it was missing something... however I'm not sure what. Nashville Chicken Steam Buns- again great concept but not my favorite. Wouldn't order them again.

Riley S.

Yelp
I loved Brighton Bodega on Taco Tuesday! We got there around 8 pm & it was still buzzing, however, we were sat outside almost immediately. Once sat, we were given the Tiki/Taco Tuesday menu and a QR code to the full menu which was a great variety. Additionally, our waitress explained that they are a tapas style restaurant. I appreciated that this was made known the second we sat down! We ordered the Empanadas (phone didn't eat first!), Rib Eye Tacos & Fish Tacos. All plates came out within 5-10 minutes of each other. The best tapas service i've ever experienced. Between two drinks, 3 plates & 2 people splitting the check I only paid $23 for half of the bill. I am so pleased and will be back

Chris W.

Yelp
Service was great! Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations based on our questions. We sat outside on the patio on the side of the building and it was spaced out nicely. For food we ordered lamb lollipops, muscles, and crème brulee. Everything was good but could've used some more flavor. Overall it was a nice dinner and may try this restaurant again.

Emi H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a restaurant with a variety of options, this is the place to go. They mostly serve tapa style dishes, except for a few which were more individual entrees. My friends and I ended up getting a bunch of dishes to share. Here are the standouts for me: Confit Duck Steam Buns ($16) Comes with 3 buns per order. The duck was the star - it was crispy and extremely flavorful. The pickled cucumber cut the richness of the duck and added some freshness and the hoi sin sauce added some sweetness. Dijon and Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb ($36) The lamb was absolutely delicious, especially when paired with the mint jelly. It was well seasoned and very tender. The Au Gratin Potato was an outstanding side dish. It was creamy, rich and velvety. Double Bacon Cheeseburger ($16) One of my friends got this for himself and as a burger guy, he'd rate this 10 out of 10. The portion is huge and it comes with a bowl of curly fries on the side. Overall, we enjoyed most of the dishes we got. The only dishes we probably wouldn't get again were Nashville Chicken Steam Buns (the buttermilk ranch on top of the chicken tasted more like mayo so it was an odd combination) and A Couple Of Lobster Rolls (small portion for $27 - comes with 2 rolls but each roll is half the size of a regular roll so you're basically only getting 1 lobster roll). Other than that, all the other dishes were great. I love that their menu has a mix of everything so everyone is bound to find something that they'd enjoy.

Adam R.

Yelp
This food was phenomenal. It comes out quick. Like faster than anything I've ever been to. Quality and good prices for what you get. I'd come here all the time if I was local.

Kristen L.

Yelp
Chill, relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. Booth tables may be the best spot to enjoy catching up with your date, friends or family. Other tables and bar seating are quite crowded and close together. Great cocktails and tasty food. Sometimes dishes are a bit too greasy like the noodles or quesadilla. Wish there was a more extensive beer menu. Enjoyed that there was a variety of vegetarian and meat based dishes.

Kevin D.

Yelp
The choice of small plates was extraordinary! I understand that they change the menu regularly so you might not find what we had. But suffice it to say that everything we had was special.

Nathan P.

Yelp
Consistently fantastic. Creative menu, executed perfectly. Without doubt top 5 restaurant in Boston.

Ryan F.

Yelp
Went to dinner with a large group at Brighton Bodega on Friday night. Other than being accommodating for our group, there is not a lot to praise about this restaurant which is trying to do a little of everything, but not getting anything completely right. Quality: The menu at Brighton Bodega is all over the place. It has a raw bar, charcuterie, steaks, pasta dishes, Asian fusion, vegetarian dishes, and fried chicken. This assortment makes the menu look fun, but results in average to poor dishes. The best thing I ate was the Veal Bolognese Rigatoni. I would avoid the Buns and the Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps. The trend seemed like the Asian fusion dishes were the worst items on the menu. Quantity: Good size dishes. Value: $16 for the Deep Fried Truffle Burrata. $17 for the Foie Gras. $22 for the Veal Bolognese Rigatoni. $22 for the Fried Rice. $19 for the Crispy Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps. $15 for the Tahini Roasted Rainbow Cauliflower. $15 for the Hot Chili Oil Noodles. $15 for the Nashville Chicken Buns. $16 for the Confit Duck Buns. Ambiance: Brighton Bodega is a restaurant and bar located in the Brighton area of Boston. Much like the menu, the space is an eclectic mix of ideas and designs that can be dizzying. It wants to be a sports bar, a cocktail bar, and a club all in one. It is helpful for larger parties because it is a big space. However, expect loud music and even louder guests. Crowd: It was packed on Friday night. By the time we left it was also very rowdy. Service: Friendly, but the pacing was odd. Parking: Nearby paid parking lot and limited street spots.

sarah h.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. Kinda a tapas bar but kind of not. The risotto was really good, burgers were a little over cooked and were missing a few of the items it was supposed to come with. Service was fine, nothing crazy. But when we made the reservation they said that there was an hour and a half limit to sit in the restaurant. When paying $20+ per plate I don't want to be rushed out or put on a timer

Aanchal B.

Yelp
Just moved to Boston and had my first dinner date here with my bestie. The vibe was pretty cool even for a weekday. The place was packed. They have cute outdoor seating too which would be a great option when summer is finally here. I am pleasantly happy that they have good vegetarian options. Loved the korean cauliflower buns and the empress cocktail.

Swagat M.

Yelp
This place has an excellent drink collection. I went in on a Saturday evening with a decent wait time so might be good to call in for a reservation ahead. The place has a nice vibe to it and a decent sitting area at the bar. The service is nice and the food comes out at lightning speed to the table. Don't let the speed fool you though. The food is fresh and delicious. I ordered the fried chicken fried rice which had popcorn chicken, shrimp, fried egg, veggies and a curry sauce along with crispy wafers for the crunch. I definitely wanted to also try the scallops as they looked amazing so maybe next time. Finished with the chocolate soufflé for desert which was beyond amazing. A must visit for anyone near Brighton!!!

Marina O.

Yelp
I love this place. The place by itself looks great. Inside and outside they have nice decorations. The food was great. Everything tasted great. My boyfriend had fried rice with seafood and I ordered Karaage fried chicken. The cool thing about this place is that they change their items on the menu pretty often. When you go there you never know if they will have dishes on the menu from your previous visit. Everything was great except that served our food apart. My boyfriend's dish was served 20 minutes before mine. He was waiting for my dish and by the time they brought it, his food was cold. The waiter said that it happens pretty often. However, I could tell you that prepare the fright chicken does not take a lot of time. No one wants to wait until their friend or family finally got their food and eat your food cold. Another issue was that we sat outside right next to the pipe. The pipe was leaking and all water from the roof was on our shoes. At the end of the dinner both our shoes were wet.

Peter W.

Yelp
As far as I, my wife and adult kids are concerned, this is the best restaurant in Boston. We've tried them all, "Michelin", "5 star", "Best of Boston", "famous chefs", etc, but nothing comes close to the consistently perfect combo of atmosphere, food, drinks, and extraordinary staff of BB. With frequent changes to an incredibly tasty menu, it baffles me how they do it. Always exceptional. We wish there was a meal plan! If so, sign us up! Not to be missed.

Don Y.

Yelp
3 apps and a rice dish and I've seen all I need to, I have to give them 5 stars. It's a really cool spot, and our server was great. Started off with Nashville Chicken Buns, Cauliflower Buns and the Mac n cheese taco. We also got the fried rice. The buns were fantastic!! The taco Was good but probably wouldn't get again. The rice was loaded with different meats and was very flavorful. I certainly will be going back and very soon. Cant wait to try other delicious dishes.

Anna D.

Yelp
Have been here a few times and usually the food and drinks are reliably good; the staff is generally not very friendly though. Last night everything seemed to be falling apart and I felt bad for bringing my friends. The waiter was not at all knowledgeable, and we had 7 dishes and only one was actually good (cauliflower bao). The frites with the steak were so bad, soggy, strange seasoning, the steak (cooked correctly) was buried in a sauce that was super salty. We asked if there were other French fries options and the waiter suggested queso fundido, which made no sense. He also said the petite Robert cheese dish was a sizeable amount of cheese and it was about two bites (for $15, also came with 5 gigantic digestif cookies which made no sense as it's not a good pairing and out of proportion). Lava cake did not have the eponymous runny center. Ambiance was also terrible - loud bad music, and even though we were sitting at the front window table it was impossible to have a conversation. Adding insult to injury, rain dropped on us for the entire meal because the window was leaking and it was raining; they should not have sat anyone there to begin with. The manager comped our desserts because of the rain (we didn't have to ask) and I still tipped well because I know these jobs are tough, but I feel upset about the whole experience and hope they can improve substantially.

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Hell yes. I've been wanting to come here for so long and it was totally worth the wait. We started with the Burrata on scallion pancakes which was outstanding. I thought it would be tough to follow but the Nashville hot chicken bao buns also blew me away. The Maine mussels were very good but I prefer a more traditional sauce. The brisket tacos were solid. The udon noodles were one of my favorites and a great way to end the meal. Def will be returning

Allen B.

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten here about 5 to 6 times. We love it Each dish has been delicious but we are addicted to the duck buns. I dream of them

Namratha R.

Yelp
Came here for apps and drinks. Fabulous oysters in creative preparations. Drinks were great too. Will definitely visit again and try other items on the menu. Must try the oysters!

Jane C.

Yelp
Had an amazing time, fantastic and fast service, trendy ambiance, and delicious reasonably priced creative and tasty food + drink! Truffle gnocchi was especially delicious

Aakanksha S.

Yelp
Great vibe, great food, I can see why this place is trendy! I got the duck steamed buns and the brussel sprouts. I had low expectations given the wide variety of items on the menu, but the flavors were on point. Definitely get reservations on weekends, as the place is packed. My only complaint is the hard to read menus.

Yelp
Had dinner here last Saturday night and it was sooo good! Although the restaurant was kind of busy, we were seated immediately. Service was so fast and the staff was very friendly. We ordered several dishes (maybe one too many) but loved each one! The highlights for me were the seared scallops and Korean fried cauliflower steamed buns. The scallops were cooked to perfection with a smokey flavor, and the pesto with veg paired so nicely with it. The cauliflower buns were out of this world, like nothing I've tasted before. Sweet and salty; a flavor bomb! The harissa Brussels sprouts were way too spicy for me. The dates were an unexpected, delicious combo though. We also ordered cocktails: I had the sangria roja (excellent) and my husband had the dessert before dinner (both of us hated it - not sweet, very strong, tasted like cough medicine). I really enjoyed the ambience in there. Only thing that bothered me was the sticky table. But I can overlook that because of the unique delicious dishes.

Yelp
Rotating the menu always keeps things interesting . Occasionally an idea won't work- this is rare and food is almost always very good. Great drinks and knowledgeable bartenders. Done miss dessert- it's always yummy. My true ranking is a 4.5 I eat here once or twice a month and don't see this changing. :)

Yelp
Brighton Bodega is one of the spots that's great for meeting up with friends, share an appy or two with drinks! The around-the-world-influenced menu consists of raw bar, charcuterie, steam buns, and creative small plates selections from meat, seafood, or vegetables. It's a nice-looking industrial-style space, bar in the front, followed by the dining room and outdoor seatings. Street parking around here is tricky but there are side streets. Foie Gras Wild Mushroom Fondue- Truffle cream served with grilled bread on an iron skillet. It was rich, cheesy, and oily. I liked it and it's good as an appetizer to share. There were mushroom slices and the foie gras was identifiable. And they were nice enough to bring out more bread! Old Fashioned- Unfortunately, this tasted watered down to the point where the whisky flavor was not present. Overall Service: The hostess was excellent and welcoming! Everyone here was busy including our bartender and he checked in when he can. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other plates!
