First time attending and it was very well attended and a great time. A lot of great produce available as well as two pop-up coffee shops (Ugly Duck & Java something). Great options for all types of breads, pastries, honey, fresh meats, flowers, live music!

I love coming here on Sunday mornings! My favorite places at the farmer’s market are Neno’s to get a breakfast burrito, and Ugly Duck Coffee to get an iced espresso. They have tons of vendors with fresh fruits, vegetables, organic meat, plants, soaps, etc., in addition to a few coffee and food vendors. Sometimes they also have a live band playing. It’s a great places for families. And I especially love seeing all the dogs! Overall, it’s a vibrant synergy between everyone, and perfect way to spend your Sunday morning.

Love the music, the families, fresh lettuces and all other seasonal fruits and vegetables. It’s a joyous Sunday experience.

Beautiful produce and baked goods. It is on smaller footprint than past years. Several repeat vendors so variety was less than I anticipated.

Lovely farmers market. Has everything including a few food trucks. Great produce. Stellar cheese and free range eggs.

Google
I liked the Brighton Farmers Market. If you're looking for honey or coffee or pizza or specialty organic veggies, they have it. It's not the least expensive Farmers Market I've ever been to, but it's one of the nicer ones. Kind of like Fairport canal days only without the canal...and in Brighton. I spent around $7 and got 6 oz of shiitake mushrooms and a little baggie of pearled barley. When looking over the items, be aware that there are queues everywhere. So don't accidentally step in front of a line. Parking is ample. You can park behind the market or you can park on the street or in the circle in front of the elementary school. They request you don't bring your dogs, but many did. I arrived at 9:08 and it was already very busy. All in all a fun place to go.

Michele Wuensch

Google
Dogs are everywhere and saw 3 very large, unmuzzled pit bulls, a scenario for deaths and maulings. The NYS health code and FDA does not allow dogs where food is sold. Dogs can transmit over 30 diseases.

Google
Great community vibe. People of all ages buy local farm food and sit on the lawn listening to live music. Food trucks, too. And plants, breads, and baked goods for sale as well as produce.

Yelp
When I travel somewhere new, I always love to hit up the local farmer's market to take in the local color of a town and experience the foods unique to the area. This market was in the smaller side with only two rows but they also had several food trucks and live music which were lovely additions. Parking was free and in the same lot as the market. It was fairly packed with cars but it's in a small town where parking in a nearby neighborhood does not seem to be as much of a hassle as it would be in a busier city. I went with two close friends, and we all had a great time enthusiastically sampling the local offerings and even picked up a few favorites to enjoy later. Though there were only two rows, each row had quality products including but not limited to local honey, maple syrup, baked goods, fresh pasta, meats, cheeses, and seasonal produce. One could easily plan a whole balanced meal just with one visit here. A standout for all of us was the Happy Gut Sanctuary that sold the most refreshing Kombucha which we all ended up buying. I also purchased some granola, dairy-free cookies, and freshly made pasta. The pastas I picked up included garlic basil and a Carolina Reaper pasta for my fiancé who loves all things spicy. One of my friends was a local and she plans to definitely go again just to get more Kombucha. Be sure to go early as some booths, especially the ones with freshly made products, start to sell out by the afternoon. Hopefully this was not my last visit to the Rochester area because I look forward to being able to go to this market again to sample and purchase all the seasonal goodies.

Yelp
The better of the farmers markets for price, vendors and overall produce is Fairport. If you want fancy coffee, limited fruit and food trucks, Brighton is fine

Yelp
Such a great suburban market that features some of the top producing farms and vendors around the region. From Lagoner to Flour City Bread to Javas coffee, there's bound to be one of whatever you're looking for at this market. On my trip this weekend, I picked up cheeses from Sunny Knoll farm and I can't recommend this course of action enough. I highly recommend that happy cheddar and gruyere. I brought them with walnuts and mustard on a board for later that day, and these cheeses were a HUGE hit. Do not skip! We also grabbed pastries and baguette from Flour City. There's usually a line that moves super quick - don't be discouraged! Don't be discouraged by parking either, though I must say I do find it to be a bit of a stressful pain. The market right now is pretty in and out, so spots are opening up pretty quick. They are leaving 9am-10am for preorders only during the COVID times and masking is strictly enforced. This is a fine alternative if I miss out on my Public Market fix throughout the week!

Yelp
I forget how great Brighton's Farmer Market is, after not going for years since moving away from the area and also because of the pandemic. I've subsequently visited the past two weekends and had a blast. The live music, the food trucks (Neno's, le petit poutine) and the fresh produce all make for a wonderful Sunday outing. It is a place where you'll undoubtedly run into people you know. So if you're feeling antisocial maybe skip it or wear a hoodie and sunglasses.

Yelp
Located next to the Brighton Middle School/High school, this small local market is a treasure. Some of the highlights of this little local love stop are the food trucks, such as Nenos, Le Petit Poutine, Marty's, Javas, etc. You don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to score decent products, and can enjoy a little brunch treat with some lively music from the bands that visit. A typical walk through for me includes some RocBucha, Flour City Pasta (tomato basil papardelle) and the delicious array of Smugtown Mushrooms. This farmer's market has a lot of organically grown produce, and raised meats. Everything I have purchased has been fresh, and doesn't die right away. I appreciate the fact that I know things are locally sourced and aren't off a truck from California or Florida with fruits that didn't sell at the store. Many customers participate in composting bucket swaps weekly as well.

Yelp
If you are easily overwhelmed by the crowds at the Public Market, this is a nice alternative. Easier to park and navigate around. Seems to be a smaller selection but my feeling is that it's more local vendors whereas the Public Market has more people selling more stuff in general. There was live music while I was there. I picked up a few things. I hadn't intended to shop at all but grabbed some radishes and turnips. And of course, some Poutine from the food truck! A nice spot on a Sunday morning!

Yelp
Brighton Farmers Market - Sundays 9a - 1p. Simple parking in the school lot or near-by side streets. The market is on the smaller size which makes it easy to get around and look at stuff without feeling rushed. Many organic vendors inclduing multiple veggies, fruits, flowers, breads, pastas, pickles, fermented items and "informative/political" stands. Prices are a little higher than other markets in the area or farm stands but atmosphere is very friendly and enjoyable to walk around. I got some peach cobbler from JonJohns Bakery (seperate review) $5 for 2-3 servings. Java's was there and we got some great iced coffee which was so refreshing. Le Poutine truck was there and we enjoyed some sausage gravy poutine with an egg on top.

Yelp
The most family friendly market there could be! When we entered there was a live band and a handful of food trucks (Neno's, Marty's Meats, and Poutine). Tons of vendors are set up in the Brighton HS parking lot with all fresh fruit and veggies, honey, flowers, bread and pastries (dangerous!!) and more local goods. The farmers are always the most friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The public market may have more variety due to the sheer number of vendors, but there is a lighter atmosphere over here in Brighton. The market is open during on Sundays from 9-1. No issues finding parking too. Such a lovely spot to get some of your in-season produce, or just come to hang out with family, eat some good food and listen to music. I believe they continue indoors during the winter, I would recommend checking their website for details.

Yelp
I love the Brighton Farmers Market. Right around the corner at 12 corners (intended) is the market. Look for the food trucks and you'll find the market. Come hungry and you won't be disappointed. Produce does seem to cost more here than at the market but more local farmers vs wholesale stands.
google avatar

Yelp
Someone told me that the Brighton Farmers Market is one of the best ones in town and all the other farmers markets aspire to be like this one. I couldn't agree more. The options vary each week, but there's a good mix of vendors with goods like produce, meat and baked goods. There's even the Good Grub Club to keep the little ones occupied while you do your shopping. There's also composting available! Best of all, the food trucks! This summer, I've been seeing Neno's, Le Petit Poutine and Marty's Meat around a lot.

Yelp
This is the quite the way to spend your Sunday morning. I went on a warm, sunny June day with the intentions of grabbing one thing. I left with Roc Transit Day fare cards, strawberries, lettuce, 2 cold brew coffees, and wishing I didn't already have brunch plans otherwise I would have stayed for hours. The perks of this market are that it's smaller and a little less crowded than the one downtown. It feels like a neighborhood gathering of popup farm stands. There's music and people are hanging out. It's like a mini-festival. but calm and clean. It's located in the Brighton High School parking lot off of Winton. Lots of parking available in the school lots and on the street. I didn't have to walk too far. It runs on Sundays 10am-1pm. If Brighton's your hood, this may be a more convenient stop than rushing downtown at the early hours of the morning on Sat. I like BFM because it's a straight shot down Winton and starts later (I'm not an early riser) so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Great bizs and farms selling their goods... To name a few: - Java's mobile cart - go for the cold brew in the summer - lots of caffeine and it's extracted by sitting in cold water for ~17hrs. - First Light Creamery - Ambrosia Farms (lettuce) - Lagoner Farms (fruits) - Lettuce B Frank food cart - Eat Me Ice Cream - Flour City Bread Co - Flour City Pasta - Community Composting ... so many more... I will be back on the regular. Next time with more time to spare and an empty stomach to devour all the goodies. ... I needed one of LBF's breakfast sammies. Bring cash!

Yelp
I finally had the opportunity to visit the Brighton Farmer's Market despite living in Brighton for the past 2 years and I have to say it's just what I hoped it would be! A four minute drive away from home and certainly more than enough vendors to fill up my fridge and pantry with really delicious food. When you hit the high school's parking lot where it's held, it's like you're being serenaded in by the delicious aroma from a handful of food trucks (Java's, Lettuce B. Frank, some green drink-like place) as well as some great slow jazz from a small local band in the very front. There's so many different vendors offering fresh milks, cheeses, meats, greens, pasta, maple syrup, and honey, and I couldn't be happier with all of it. The prices are great, the people are friendly and they're willing to talk to you - it's truly like a mecca for food lovers, and a bounty for your pantry. Although it's not as huge as the Public Market, this one's definitely struck a note with me and will definitely be a go-to spot every Sunday from now on!

Yelp
The Brighton Farmers Market surprised me all together. Music, high quality vendors, and food trucks make this place legit. At first I didn't know what to expect because I was so use to the rochester public market on Saturday's. But this group of vendors seemed to be cherry picked for the highest quality. Definitely has a hometown feel.

Yelp
This Farmer's Market is unreal! We visited Aug 20 and there were so many vendors we needed to scope out the market first before we purchased. There was everything from fresh flowers to fruits, veggies, breads, pastries and pasta. We spent over an hour here (10-11AM). It wasn't too crowded, we parked in the school lot (a 2 minute walk) and there were plenty of pups walking around. There was also live music and food trucks (Poutine, Tacos, Marty's Meats). Take note there is no public restroom. We bought eggplant, nectarines, corn, green beans, kale, the biggest zucchini I've ever seen, pasta, a pastry, coffee and food from the food trucks for under $35.

Yelp
I love the Brighton Farmers Market. There's such an amazing sense of community as soon as you walk up. The farmer's know their regulars and you can always hear them chatting about their respective families, the produce, recipe ideas, local happenings and so many other things. And chances are we usually see people from our community we know as well and get to catch up with them! This market makes me feel like I'm apart of something. Something pretty awesome.

Yelp
Very busy on this Sunday morning.Luckily found a handy parking spot in the main lot.We had our Westie with us , which might not have been the best idea as it was hot and crowded.I felt rushed and ignored at some of the stands and very welcome at others. It's obvious that many regulars come here as I witnessed a lot of banter between them and some vendors.A lot of the produce that was available is not actually in season yet around here so obviously purchased from wholesalers in the area. Why pay even more here for food that is on the shelves in our local grocery?Five dollar small baguettes and round breads don't make sense to me.The nice lady that runs the honey stand was a treat. The next time I need honey I will get it from her.We left with an overpriced small container of sweet plums and one head of garlic.

Yelp
Love. Love. LOVE. LOVE THIS PLACE. A huge array of local ORGANIC produce and products. I have not found anything like this in Rochester; not at the public market, not at Greece farmer's market... Nowhere. Friendly venders. Talked with us about their product in detail with no pressure to buy. And my first time there... There was a Bluegrass band! And children dancing!! AND it's year-round. In the winter they take it inside. Hubby and I have decided this will most assuredly be a weekly stop for us.

Yelp
A great alternative to the bustling Rochester Public Market! It's dog friendly, kid friendly, and overall a relaxing weekend chill spot. Located right by Brighton High School, there's also plenty of parking. As far as vendors go, a big draw for me is the Pasta Classics stand, featuring homemade raviolis and stuffed breads. I go early before they run out of the apple, walnut and gorgonzola ravioli, which has become one of my all time favorite meals. There's also no shortage of produce stands and florists. And if you're shopping on an empty stomach, Lettuce B. Frank and Java's are onsite to feed your cravings. Make sure to bring small bills and plastic bags to carry your goodies!

Yelp
You can park for free and it's a Sunday Market. They have lovely things and well edited I went around Memorial Day Weekend it was worth it. It seems they get lots of local venders & farmers and I'm guessing as the weather gets warmer and things are in season more of them and more veg & fruits. Also some food trucks are in attendance. Prices are reasonable and if you live near or around Brighton give it a go. It's in the Brighton HS Parking Lot. Cheers!

Yelp
I wish that the Brighton Farmers Market would have more Food Truck action happening every week. Its the same ones, which is cool, but would be nice to have another 4-6 options mixed in around the market. Maybe its me really missing living in Brooklyn, but theres not enough food options before shopping or during shopping. As for the rest of the market, its a great little market and has everything you need.

Yelp
I'd really give it more of a 2.5 stars, but because other reviews are so high, I must round downward. Yes, like most farmers markets, you will find a lot of "farm fresh" items, but you ain't gonna find ANY good deals at this gentrified market. In fact, you'll probably pay more than you would at Wegman's, all for the privilege of walking around in the broiling hot sun while inconsiderate dog owners run rampant. Want to buy quail eggs? Yeah, they have them. Also a guy selling green onions for 2 bucks a piece. Yes, $2 for 1 freakin' onion! Oh, and don't forget the overpriced truck food, either. For $3 more than you'd pay for breakfast at a diner, you can stand around in the hot sun, eating with disposable implements. What joy......

Kimberly J.

Yelp
First off, you can't really compare this market to the very popular Rochester Public Market. They are entirely different experiences. I love the Rochester Public Market, but also love the Brighton Farmers Market for very different reasons. A few things I love about this market: - The size is easy to navigate. There are plenty of vendors, but it's not overwhelming. - While the parking lot is really busy, you can always find a spot. - Tons of organic options. I think most of the produce sold here is organic. - Little bit of everything, there is a coffee vendor, some cheese booths (First Light Creamery!!!), meat sales, bakeries, plant vendors, etc. In the past year or two some food vendor trucks have been showing up and they also have live music. This is where I go to shop when my time is a little more limited on the weekend and I just need to get in and get out with some produce for the week. However, if you wanted to make a morning of it you can stop in for a meal and stick around for some entertainment. There are a lot of family events that happen here, too.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
They're now open for the season (earlier than everyone else). As the produce is almost all local, there's a great selection of organic items which get better as the summer progresses. It is small, which at times is a bit of a drawback, but it's worth the trek from the nearby suburbs or the cities until other towns get going with their markets. The nicest thing about Brighton is that it's uncrowded unlike the Public Market where I just hate to face the crowds on a weekend. Sundays, 9 - 1 PM.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
I honestly would call this the best farmer's market in the Rochester area (even though I know that not waxing poetic over the Public Market probably removes my Rochester citizenship). The vendors here are all small farms or local business (like Hedonist). No tables of recently discarded produce from Wegmans here. It's also a lot more manageable to get around, you can walk from end-to-end of the market in maybe 10 minutes, and a shopping trip here really never needs to take more than an hour. There's a good bit of people here, but the space is a lot more wide open so you never feel cramped. The hours are also super convenient, open on Sunday mornings, right before I do my weekly shopping. The fact that La Petite Poutine seems to always be here is also a plus, it's a solid way to start off a Sunday.
google avatar

Ebbie P.

Yelp
Wait to get your coffee fix. Java's has a mobile station here :)
google avatar

Alyssa B.

Yelp
This is my favorite market, in both the summer and at the Long Season Winter Market! Lots of organic produce options.
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
Love this market. Sundays are perfect for us. Where can you get local fresh food on a Sunday. Parking is good. Have a variety of vendors.

Kate K.

Yelp
Coming from the giant loud and messy public markets in Boston and DC, and I found this one super cute and super tiny. I was disappointed in the fruit options, but I happily went home with beautiful swiss chard, kale, and watercress that cooked up deliciously. The food trucks are small in number, but all look great and are exactly the kinds of foods I would want at a farmers market. The very best part of this charming little market is that the signs clearly label the stands with organic foods - something that is sorely lacking at the Rochester Public Market. For this alone I am giving 5 stars. While I prefer the more international crowd (for Rochester) at the Rochester Public Market, I like this market for the easy access, the small but great selection of food trucks, and the clearly labeled organic foods. I will be back!!
