Overall the hotel has a grand rustic vibe and hospitality is unmatched, however there are a few issues with the hotel which you don't expect at this price range The rooms are too small. I can understand that as a renovated fort, this is something that is beyond control, still even the most premium Vajra suite is the same size as other rooms. The view is definitely amazing but the glass fogs up if you are eusing aur conditioning and remains hardly relevant. The food is average at best and needs much improvement. Breakfast buffet and high tea are bad. Poha was dry, golgappe were stable, limited breakfast selection and overall the taste needs to be much better. Worse paan i have had in my life. The only good thing was the 10 course chef's menu. But there are some good things also like location, hospitality and overall ambience, which are undoubtedly good. The hotel is accessible via boat, the narrow lanes are not for everyday commute. If you are planning to visit the city often during your visit, then this hotel is not for you.

Darbhanga Restaurant Brijama Palace. A friend suggested this stunning venue for lunch. As you walk into this restaurant you are transported back to the time that befits this interior. The staff were amasingly attentive & the service was spot on. The charming chef Arit came over to our table with some fabulous soup & later he also blew us away with a carrot desert. This chef knows his craft & if you are ever in this area looking for that special place for lunch or dinner looks no further. Kind regards Ferdie Liebenberg

Superb. It was the highlights of our time in Varanasi. The service was impeccable, Simran was a very warm and knowledgable server. Nitesh and Rudresh were also very kind and quick to meet our needs. And the Chef… wow, Ravi is so talented, and so friendly. They were very generous with us, and especially having a guest with us with strict dietary needs. Each dish was so thoughtful and expertly crafted. I can’t recommend this place enough. Also Sagar making paan in the courtyard was so charming and made a delicious snack. I got to come back, and next time we’ll actually stay at the hotel too.

New Year’s Eve done the most beautiful way New Year celebrate karna at BrijRama Palace was honestly something else. Rooftop terrace, open sky, soft lights, and Kashi ki energy all around—it felt romantic, royal, and very intimate at the same time. Music flowed beautifully through the evening—classical fusion, graceful Kathak, and soulful Sufi that just pulled you in. Everything felt unhurried and thoughtfully curated, letting you truly soak in the moment. The food was pure luxury with a lavish spread, live counters, and indulgent desserts—but the absolute highlight was the hospitality. The staff was exceptionally warm, attentive, and polished. That kind of ultra-rich hospitality where you feel genuinely cared for. BrijRama Palace truly knows how to blend heritage, luxury, romance, and celebration seamlessly. This wasn’t just a New Year’s party—it was a memory that stays with you. Thank you, Team BrijRama, for such a beautiful evening. ✨🥂

HATS OFF TO THE SERVICE BY ARIF, SANDEEP, RAHUL, Rohit FAHAD & SOURAV Personal attention to detail! ||Wife and I were going to the temple on our own at 3 AM. Staff on midnight duty would not allow us to go on our own as we do not know the city. They personally escorted us to the temple before they returned . VERY TOUCHING and beyond ANY SECURITY that anyone ever offered us ! HATS OFF !!! ||That is what I would call HOSPITALITY !

A beautiful hotel in an amazing location. enjoyed every bit of my stay with you and will return one day. staff and service here was very good as was the choice of food and quality. the roof terrace with the amazing views and atmosphere. I stayed for 2 nights in hindsight wish i had stayed for longer 3 minimum.

Food is average, staff needs more polished training! The taj-ness is missing! Staff is more like village people without soft skill training and that gentle touch which we get at any 4* above hotels and restaurants! Taj group will have to work a lot after acquisition to train the staff.

From the traditional Indian dance performances, to the Paan-tasting experience following an unforgettable 10-course vegetarian dinner… to the serene morning yoga, the fire ceremony, and the beautifully explained Bhagavad Gita sessions — every moment felt meaningful, immersive, and thoughtfully designed. Staying at the BrijRama is not just a hotel stay; it’s an experience. One we will remember for years to come, and one that should not be missed.
