Such a cute little gift shop down the street from where I live. I went in looking for some unique gifts for some friends. This little shop did not disappoint! I ended up finding a couple of hand painted notebooks and some other stationary. This is my new go to place for unique finds!

Love this place for the unique gifts you can get. Love to support local as they do. Reasonably priced goods are great gifts for Secret Santa or unique gifts. Fast service for delivery - purchase was sent the same day as purchase.

I love a lot of stores in the Riverdale and Leslieville neighbourhoods, but Brika is one of the crown jewels in my personal opinion. I find it hard to describe the place, as the first time I found it I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. It felt like setting foot in a magical, whimsical, ethereal world filled with natural light and pastel colours. The space itself facilitates this through its thoughtful design, layout, and consistent aesthetic. Their products encompass a vast selection of hand-made high-quality crafted artisan goods by small independent local companies. To name a few categories, they boast a wide array of home decor, books, ceramics, bath and body products, furniture, paper items, jewellery, children's things, art, prints, accessories, and even an individually curated monthly subscription box! It would be impossible for me to list specific items as there is an endless list I saw that were lovely, stunningly beautiful and unique items. Everything you buy here will contribute to a peaceful, otherworldly, cozy home. In addition to this, they deliver all of this to you in a fresh, modern, somewhat minimalist, cleanly designed shop washed in natural light that draws you in, is easy to navigate, and somehow manages to be spacious despite the amount of incredible products available to you. Only a photo could describe the beauty of the space - few shops achieve such an effective, impactful aesthetic. It felt like stepping into a fantastical, sophisticated version of the My Little Pony or Polly Pocket world. What they've created here evokes a disarming combination of nostalgia and fantasy for me. I can't wait to return to shop here, there's so much I would love to buy!

I've only been here once and I did NOT have a good experience. I saw online that BRIKA inflates balloons with helium, so I popped by in here to buy balloons for an upcoming celebration that evening. When I stepped inside the shop, there were no customers and no attendants. The door to the stock room was wide open, and I popped by to see if a rep was in there. I got no response. There is also no bell at the front counter, so there was no way for me to signal to a CSR that I needed help. I had to wait 10 minutes inside the shop before the CSR came back on the sales floor. When I asked her where they kept their balloon selection so that I could purchase my choice and have it inflated, she rudely told me that only the Queen E. location provides this service, then immediately proceeded to help another customer. I would never ever come back here. 0/10 if possible!

Lots of great finds for babies and newborns. Very friendly staff. Store doesn't accept cash so have debit or credit ready.

Sells crafty items from Etsy sellers, love it! Don't even have to buy in Etsy and pay for shipping haha.

Yelp
I wandered into Brika while walking down Queen Street on a drizzly afternoon. I'd never been to Toronto before, and I found this walk exceedingly pleasant and charming, even with the gloom. There were tons of cute shops, and this one was particularly inviting, with a colorful, well designed storefront. I've found that as I get older, I become more and more susceptible to this kind of pretty, impractical decor/gift/knick knack boutique. I didn't actually buy anything here, but I had a nice browse, and am mostly leaving this review because of the ridiculous stupid unfairness of the only other review on the page. "Way too much BABY stuff" is one for the ages. I don't have any babies, but I could see myself shopping at this kind of place if I did--lots of attractive kid stuff that wouldn't ugly up a painstakingly furnished room. There was also plenty of stuff for adults--I'm surprised Owen R. didn't complain that there was "way too much LADY stuff," as much of the boutique was devoted to fun, interesting jewelry and accessories. There were also some lovely ceramics and other home goods, as well as an extensive selection of greeting cards. Basically, plenty of nice things to buy, none of them strictly necessary. If I lived in Toronto, I'd drop into Brika often. It's the kind of shop I have a hard time walking past without a quick browse.

Yelp
Nice looking from outside. Having been to many boutiques, I felt it was lacking in quality/interesting goods. Way too much BABY stuff. Polite staff. No reason to return.
