Brimstone Hotel & Spa

Incredible stay at the Brimstone. The plush room was really lovely - comfy, clean and big balcony terrace. The reading room - with complementary drinks and snacks (incl. evening cheese boards) - was fab. We also enjoyed three trips to the spa. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing! This is was better than 5 star hotels I have stayed at, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and level of amenities available. The star was the beautiful location surrounding the hotel and the amazing staff! Every staff member was going out of their way to provide an excellent service and especially Sue who supported us as the host, was phenomenal! She made the stay so amazing, always present with her beautiful smile and aura- thank you so much for making this experience even more enjoyable for us! 100000% recommend staying here if any one is in doubt or looking for some where with quality service and amenities! Thank you to all Brimstone staff! :)

Excellent service from start to finish! We stayed two nights end of June booking two rooms (13 & 14) Superb friendly service from all of the team at Brimstone including the Spa staff, we dined at Wainrights Pub 1st evening which offered great service and good quality food in a lovely rustic setting (1 mile from Brimstone) for reasonable prices, we enjoyed unlimited use of the amazing Spa both Friday ,Saturday, and even Sunday after checking out! We dined at the on-site restaurant on Saturday evening ,no complaints great food,great service , slightly more expensive but not excessive, the rooms are very well appointed, on a split level with the bed upstairs , generous snacks and waters in room (topped up each day) then the amazing reading room where you have free wines or beers,or soft drinks artisan coffees , daily fresh sandwiches , scones , even a selection of cheeses each evening ! Just help yourself very generous. Breakfast was served to the room both days and again was faultless service and great quality food. It simply does not get better! We will return soon

We’ve stayed at the Brimstone multiple times now, we love it here. The suites are superb and the spa is great. There are some amazing walks from the doorstep. We particularly like the cocktail cart to our door and the reading room for a nice glass of wine and cheese. |I would like to see the arcteryx room return as that was a nice touch pre Covid. The service is always exceptional. ||I wouldn’t recommend the onsite restaurant, but the jumble room a short taxi ride away to grasmere is excellent. Lanty Slee’s bar which is a 5 minute walk also has the perfect setting, great wines and a nice menu.

Just retuned from a 3 night stay at Brimstone. Our sixth visit & it didn’t disappoint ! Everything was exceptional - from the check in with our lovely host Sue , the room , library room and of course the spa. We stayed in the ‘Brimstone Mezzanine Loft room’ and it was fantastic - it was very clean and the general service was exceptional. We visited the Samling one evening and Tom took us in the brimstone jeep ! Again service was excellent. I never stay in a hotel and not want to leave but this is certainly a retreat. Can’t wait to visit again Brimstone ! Clare & Lee Bromham

Our second stay here in the Duet suite. It’s just fantastic. The range of included items in The Reading Room is fantastic. We had our evening meal and breakfast in the room… no way were we leaving! Watching some Netflix from the tubs is one of the finest things you can do!

Spa room was nice and spacious, we made full use of the large bath and bifolding doors. Shower was really pleasant too! Large comfy bed, room service and extremely friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you!

Unbelievable hotel with great service, ridiculously gorgeous rooms and lovely local hikes! You get what you pay for and the fact that my room has a fireplace in there was insane! Will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family!
