We live in Fishtown, and the closest Brio was in Cherry Hill, so we headed over the bridge at around 5:30 PM on a Thursday. Kim was working the bar, and we sat at a table in the bar area as we wanted more room. She was FANTASTIC! We noticed she was working a private room, the bar, the bar seating area as well as outside. We stopped her and asked if she was covering all of those spaces. She said, yes, I am, why? Am I not serving you properly? WOW! Now that's a server and an employee I'd like working for me!
We had a glass of white wine and a martini from the happy hour menu. Not the best drink or wine, but it was $7, so I cannot complain. My husband ordered the flatbread with sausage, pepperoni, and ricotta cheese, which I believe was $7 or $8, which was larger than we expected. It was pretty tasty! I ordered the lasagna, and my husband ordered the chop salad. We decided we'd share both. Sadly, the taste of lasagna has changed since I ate it last. I don't know what new cheese is in it, but it was very sharp, and I wasn't a fan. I didn't eat that much of it as I just couldn't get past the sharpness. The chopped salad was delicious but on the small side. The bread was also brought to the table, and that was delicious. Kim continued to serve us with a smile. All-in-all, we had a lovely time and that's why I gave it four stars. Happy hour is worth it at the local Brio and I highly suggest you try it!
