Death and Co’s New Cocktail Book Is a Portal Into One of LA’s Best Bars | Eater LA

"A new concept unveiled just under Del Frisco’s at Westfield Century City centers entirely on a loaded brick toast topped with peanut-butter coconut maple syrup, crispy coconut flakes, and vanilla bean whipped cream, priced at about $12.99 each; the shop was shown at its unveiling and was expected to open very soon." - Matthew Kang

Brique French Toastery

Google
Brique has one location and it's located in Westfield Century City Mall. If you are in the area or not in the area you gotta find a way to get this dessert. It's not your ordinary French Toast it's so much more. We ordered a single and just shared it since we just finished lunch although hindsight I could have devoured it myself. It's served with their signature peanut butter coconut maple syrup, toasted coconut chips and whipped cream. So yummy. The owner is so friendly makes you want to continue to support them and order more. He said they even ship on Goldbelly if you are craving and can't go their location.

Yum! First of all, I love a good French toast, and I appreciate that Brique offers it any time of day. You don’t have to limit it to breakfast anymore; you can enjoy it as a snack, lunch, or dinner. I loved the toast here—the thickness of the bread with the crunchy crust was perfect. The sides were a nice touch, but honestly, I could eat the bread by itself. The place definitely gave off a “bougie bread” vibe, which I’m all for! Fun fact: I heard that French toast is one of The Rock’s favorite foods, and the owner of Brique is actually his private chef. So, if you’re strolling through the Century City Mall, you absolutely need to grab a Brique!

Google
This toastery specializes exclusively in one thing—French toast—and that's all they need, considering it's the most exceptional French toast you'll ever come across. Crafted by Mr. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's personal chef, it's no surprise that this French toast is his absolute favorite. Each plate is adorned with three delectable toppings: a peanut butter caramel sauce, toasted coconut chips, and a velvety vanilla bean whipped cream. The combination of flavors is simply explosive, creating a heavenly experience for your taste buds. If you happen to be in the area, trying this is an absolute must.🤤👍

Wow. This place is awwwwwwesome! I am a French toast connoisseur and this is outrageously delicious. Incredibly moist on the inside and the toppings are perfect. A super airy whipped cream. The crunchies bring it all together as the perfect complement to the moist bread. And the caramel sauce is other worldly. I remember watching the Rock do his cheat day on Instagram live. And he ate this absolutely massive piece of French toast. My wife and I were drooling at how good it looked. And then we walked into Brique and Daniel, the owner, tells me that his wife is the chef for the Rock! And she is the one who made that French toast! Run don’t walk to this place inside century city mall. They also have nailed the marketing Branding. Super chic and cool.

Y’all DO NOT sleep on this spot. Brique French toast has one location in the nation & it’s at the century city mall. Warm Brioche bread topped with Peanut Butter Coconut Maple Syrup, Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream and Toasted Coconut Chips is a heavenly combination. You will inhale this toast. Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock & his private chefs clearly know how to perfect the French toast cheat meals. We met co-owner & Chef Daniel Breiz who was super warm & friendly. Can’t wait to come back for some more toast soon! PSA: it’s fast casual so there’s no seating inside but plenty of seating outside in the mall. And if you’re not in the area they do nationwide shipping!

Overall: 4.4/5 Our apartment catered from Brique for a Sunday brunch. The packaging is beautiful and perfectly packed. You have a nice branded bag with the reheating instructions, brioche, and toppings inside. The toppings are packaged individually and numbered so Brique makes everything super simple. I reheated it with an air fryer for 6 minutes and it came out perfect for me. The outside was crispy and the inside was soft. I never had a brioche this thick and thought it might be too much but this portion was great for satisfying my carb and sweet tooth cravings as well as keeping me full for breakfast/lunch. The original Brique is not complete without the toppings. The first thing you put on is the peanut butter coconut maple syrup. It's really sweet by itself but when poured on, it elevates the brioche flavor and is the perfect companion. The nice step is to top it off with the vanilla bean whipped cream. The cream is very light and honestly not really needed. The last topping is the toasted coconut chips which are heavenly. I could snack on these alone and wish I had a bag of them. It gives a nice extra crunch and a little extra flavor. I only used half or less of all the toppings but they are what complete the original Brique so don't skip out on them!

this place lives up to the hype!!! thee best french toast!

Google
Great French toast! The brioche is nice and soft on the inside, and the toasted coconut chips add a nice crunch. The whole brique single could probably feed two small eaters, I was full after eating the whole thing. It is heavy, so leave some room in your stomach, and I recommend bringing a coffee or matcha from the nearby Cha Cha Matcha to accompany the meal. It helps balance out the sweetness. ☺️ This seems to be the only location, so if you’re visiting like I was, take a peek! I’d love to see a fruit based alternative for the maple syrup in the future! More ways to top your brique the better!

Yelp
Brique has been on my radar to try but hearing on Instagram that the Rock's cheat meal is their French toast (the owner is his private chef) got me to finally try it. Location in this big, easily confusing mall - It's on the second floor close to Nordstrom, after walking past AMC theater to your right. Service was great and warm. The employee offered to heat up the 5" thick brioche French toast. It is pricey at $13.50, but it's large (I couldn't eat it all as a meal) and made with quality ingredients. And for what it's worth, the 3 toppings come in sturdy, reusable containers, perfect for salad dressing. The To Go box and gold plastic silverware are also stylish and fancy. Here's the low down on taste: It's great and original but fell short of the mind blowing hype. The syrup - peanut butter maple with a hint of coconut is genius and the cinnamon French toast was fresh and flavorful, but I had to eat the toasted coconut separately as the syrup overpowers it. The vanilla bean whipped cream was unremarkable honestly. Had I gotten the toast to go in a paper plate, it all would look picture perfect. If I come back I'll get the smaller pieces of Briquettes for $8.50 or share one regular Brique. They also sell coffee and some merch and granola. Nowhere to eat inside but you'll find chairs and tables nearby. This mall has expensive parking but many inviting lounge areas. Glad I experienced Brique. Their syrup is craveable. If you're curious about their take on French toast, I say go for it!

Yelp
Great tasting French toast with fantastic side shmears. (they moved from the mall to Pelham Ave just north of Pico)

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a while now because The Rock recommended it. However, I'm almost never in this area, so I was excited to finally try it. Perhaps I had higher expectations, but essentially it was a standard like brick toast type of deal with a bunch of toppings/ingredients that you can put on to your liking. Maybe it would have looked more appealing in a plated sense, but because it just came in a box, it looked a bit underwhelming. The food itself was as expected, though most of my group thought it was a bit sweet (we shared it among 4 people, which was good because we would have gotten overwhelmed a bit with the sweetness). It was also a bit pricy but to be expected for a place in Westfield. Though I would have expected the portion size to be a bit bigger? Overall, not knocking this place, I'd recommend trying it for yourself and making your own evaluation. The taste itself is great if you want this sort of brique french toast sort of thing, but just be prepared for the taste.

Yelp
Okay, so I finally hit up Brique and WOW--now I completely understand why it's hyped as Dwayne Johnson's favorite cheat meal. This French Toast is EVERYTHING. Thick brioche, soft and pillowy on the inside, with just the right amount of caramelized edges for that perfect bite. The peanut butter coconut maple syrup? Unreal. Sweet, nutty, but not too much--just perfection. And then they hit you with vanilla bean whipped cream, crunchy toasted coconut chips, and freaking edible gold dust. Like what?! Chefs kiss. Hands down the best French toast I've ever had. If you haven't tried it, run, don't walk. Thank me later.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out and finally had the opportunity to. I got a single order of their french toast which was prepared before my eyes. The french toast came with some peanut butter caramel, vanilla whipped cream, and some coconut chips. The french toast itself was already delicious. The bread was soft and cinamonny while not being overly sweet. The addition of the condiments and chips only enchanced the flavorness, giving a more nutty creamy taste. The chips gave a nice crunch in contrast to the soft bread. Overall, delicious snack and definitely a spot I would come back to again.

Yelp
This has been on my radar for years and I am glad I got to try it out. The shop is located on second floor near Nordstrom In Westfield century city mall. I got lost the first time and when I did find it, it was closed so hopefully this is useful, just look for Nordstrom. The toast itself had great presentation with its fancy box and containers. I brought it home to reheat since I couldn't eat it there but the store can heat it for you if you want, it takes 4 minutes. I had it at home and it was a unique experience for toast. The coconut peanut butter maple syrup is the star of the show although everything went well together with he vanilla bean whip and coconut crisps. It's pricey but very indulgent. I would recommend everyone to at least try it once!

Yelp
A little pricey , but expected. Sweet but not too sweet (not as decadent as Cinnabon), I'd get it again. 9/10

Yelp
Absolutely the BEST and more unique French toast I've ever had in my life! I'm so picky with food and this is one of those things that just so good I could eat it almost every day! The customer is great! The owner is very nice and accommodating! You can get the Brique and heat it at home or you can request to have it heated up and ready to eat! The peanut butter maple syrup they make in house is insanely good! I've never had anything like it! And the vanilla bean whipped cream is also made in house and is the best whipped cream I've ever had! It really takes it to another level when you put it all together! Since coming here I have been a frequent returning customer and will continue to be! You've got to try Brique if you're in the LA area. And even if you're not it's definitely worth the drive to try it out! I used to go to their location in the mall! Can't wait until they open up their new store location

Yelp
The most beautiful and tasty french toast you ever did see! Came here after seeing it on social media and all of my expectations were exceeded. The brioche is thick and fluffy. The peanut butter maple syrup, toasted coconut flakes, and vanilla whip are divine. My only complaints are that I should have ordered my own versus sharing with my husband and ordered more whip cream on the side. You can also order to go - so my recommendation is to warm it up at home, serve with some bacon and coffee and you're good to go!
google avatar

Alex D.

Yelp
All they have is French toast, sprinkled with granola and covered in a peanut honey syrup, topped with whipped cream and flakes of gold and to say it's perfect may not be sufficient. From fluffy buttery toast that literally melts away in your mouth to the signature crunchy granola and amazing peanut honey syrup and topping whipped cream - all of it feels like it was crafted to be in a flawless symphony together. Every time we go to the mall, I make sure to skip breakfast to have room for this French toast. Unfortunately the service is a hit or miss and we have seen people leave line.

Yelp
Decadent. No seating area in the shop but plenty of chairs in the mall. The person creating the brique was nice.

Yelp
Our favorite sweet treat getaway. My wife is a foodie Instagram stalker. She tracked lots of celebs that swear by the brique and we have made multiple trips to LA from nor cal for this amazing brioche French toast. If you don't know, this is the Rock's cheat recipe created by his own personal chef. The ingredients are delicious and the portions are huge. We met the husband of the chef on a visit and he was super cool and told us the backstory and visited with us during our visit. We are holding out hope they open a store where they are from here in Nor cal but you can use gold belly if you want to try this delicious treat out for yourself.

Yelp
This was a lot better than I expected it to be. The toast was thick, buttery, and full of flavor. It was crispy on the edges and so soft inside. I didn't even have to use the toppings; it was delicious by itself. Though I am glad I tried the vanilla bean cream. It tasted like ice cream. The service was wonderful in their little shop. The cashier working there was kind, friendly, and fast. We even got a free ice cream scoop (promo)! The establishment has a seating area located on the outside, but being in a mall, you could literally eat wherever. I would come back!

Yelp
1st review of the year! I'm in so cal. First stop Brique French Toastery. I had to check what all the hype was about. Located inside Century mall, next to Macy's. Cute boutique look Friendly staff Uber delicious French toast - topped with whipped cream, coconut flakes, and a caramel peanut butter sauce. It's definitely worth the hype!
google avatar

Yelp
The review is for quality and presentation. I didn't come here but my sister catered their Toastery for my birthday brunch. The boxes are well made with the bit of metallic color for their logo. Little containers for the toppings are simple and hold the perfect amount. I ate my first one without any toppings!! I was just picking at it while talking my with friends before I knew I ate the whole thing without using the toppings. That's how delicious and fluffy the bread is. I was shocked when my sister told me she bought them 2 days ago. She had kept them in her fridge and we popped them in the oven as directed for 3 minutes. That was it. They were so good and they were a hit at the party!

Yelp
We came here at about 8 o'clock at night. The girl working behind the counter was very nice. Overall, I wasn't that thrilled with the French Toast but it was tasty. For one thing the French Toast was not that hot and I think it should've been left in the heating element for a little bit longer. I was in no rush to get my food. I may try it again we'll see ? I wish this new business, the best .
google avatar

Yelp
Very chic and appealing looking store (except for the garden looking tables and chairs). The two female associates looked very young and not too excited to be there. When I asked if they have coffee, one of them presented with an empty bottle of cold brew so I know "what it looks". Then suggested that I go upstairs to Eatly for coffee "if they're still open" Umm okay haha Nice presentation, but lacking in actual substance. (Just like my experience with they're employees.) The toppings were were nice. I couldn't try the one with peanut butter because I have a peanut allergy. The consistency of the bread was a bit off. Just over hyped Fresh toast. I'd rather have Cinnabon (and they have coffee always available there too). I like to support local but I tried Brique once (for the gram) and will most likely not go back. Thank you, next.

Yelp
Back for more at their new store front! Delicious like always with excellent service and the ambiance is amazing. Love coming here to pick up a few Briques when I'm in the area. Thanks again!

Yelp
Not going to lie, it was delicious but I do wish the price was lower. $14 for a single, $27 for a double.

Chef Omar R.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I am a French Toast Connoisseur, and Chef Raq and Chef Daniel have taken French Toast to another stratosphere. When you walk into their store at the Westfield Century City, you are immediately greeted with warm smiles and genuine energy. Today I ordered the double "Rock" Toast Pack, that comes with the chef's original and homemade Peanut Butter-Coconut Maple Syrup, Toasted Coconut flakes, and fresh whipped Vanilla Bean. I would've never guessed that Peanut Butter and Coconut tasted so AMAZING together! They can warm it up for you right on the spot, and you'll buy two more to take home! The French Toast has a perfect crisp on the edges, with a soft and fluffy middle that cuts like butter when the fork and knife hit it. France may want to send their best chefs over to see Chef Raquel and Chef Daniel about how they reinvented the French Toast experience. And if you're like me, you make this a destination every trip to Westfield Century City. It's a MUST!
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
French toast reimagined! This gourmet french toast is the creation of The Rock's personal chef and is apparently what he eats during his cheat days. The toast takes roughly three minutes to heat up in store or can be reheated at home. It comes with peanut butter coconut maple syrup, toasted coconut flakes, and vanilla bean whipped cream. The perfect bite contains a combination of all three -- you get the sweetness from the syrup, the crunch from the coconut flakes, and the lightness from the whipped cream. I believe they also bottle their syrups for sale in store. Note that they only have two small tables inside. Definitely a decadent (and pricier) experience -- but one worth trying!!
google avatar

Rita H.

Yelp
Yes. Get it. Get a few. It's far. Justify one trip with buying all the things. It's yummy. Share or don't. All I know is that it's scrumptious and looks intimidating but light at the same time. The accompanying toppings. LOVE!!! Yum. Yes.
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Picturesque cafe that sells more than just French toast. Toast pins, toast stickers, shirts, etc! The toasts are pretty hefty and a bit high in price. There's limited seating (two small tables), so it's more of a grab and go establishment. The peanut butter maple syrup is interesting and works well with the toast. I love glitter, so that dash of gold glitter on the toast made me extra happy.
google avatar

Larry G.

Yelp
Been having this since they did pop ups and you had to order in advance. I need to go back and buy a bottle of the peanut butter syrup. This is delicious!

Yelp
.... I am going to be so fat. I hope you're happy, Brique French Toastery. Service and French Toast were both great. Looking forward to the next time I go.

Yelp
Dwayne the Rock Johnson's personal chef, Rocky, is the mastermind behind this masterpiece. A thick brioche toast, toasted to crispy yet ooey gooey center, drenched in a peanut butter mango syrup topped with vanilla bean whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes - the Rock eats 3-4 of these as his cheat meal. I usually share this with someone as I don't workout nearly enough as the Rock to rationalize eating 3-4 of these. This toast is delicious! Decadent yet not too sweet, a wonderful way to pick up your day or just having something as a snack - I highly recommend giving this place a try. The staff is also very kind and I was lucky enough to come in on a day where chef Rocky was there as well - super kind and patient in explaining all the different toppings and how to enjoy it.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I love French toast and would like to think so am quite the connoisseur. That being said, Brique has the best French toast I have ever eaten. The peanut butter in the syrup is an unexpected revelation and the toasted coconut chips are amazing. I ordered one serving and only got one bite after my children devoured my order. I went back in for another order and he hooked me up with a little extra. My biggest mistake was not getting more to go. Needless to say, Brique has been added to my list of must haves when in So Cal. We all have those places you need to go regardless of the occasion. My list includes places like Porto's and Guelaguetza. It now includes Brique. Can't wait to see you again.

Yelp
Omg this was the best French toast I have ever tried! I came on a day where samples were available. The sample had all three toppings which includes the peanut maple sauce, coconut chips, and their whipped cream. These toppings were the perfect pairing for their warm and fluffy French toast. The toppings are so good that they sell larger containers of it. The cashier told me people flavor their coffee with the peanut maple sauce. I also bought a small container to elevate my French toast at home. Definitely need to come back to try a full order!!

Yelp
I normally don't buy bread by itself as I normally am not the biggest fan of breads in general... however this place was absolutely delicious and worth the price. First off, I am a big fan of places that specialize in a particular item or set of items and when I walked in to see that their menu being you can get one or two of the toast, I was already in love. The toast is a brioche-like bread that is cut in a very thick slice. They come with three different toppings that they even label for the order they would like you to put it on the toast. This being the peanut maple syrup, the vanilla bean whipped cream, and the toasted coconut flakes. They package this in a very well designed, cute bag and nice gold, plastic utensils that fit with the entire aesthetic. Overall, the combination of it all creates an amazingly sweet, nutty, and fluffy bread. The syrup that covers it provides a peanut buttery taste that does not completely overpower the bread. However, when combined with the whipped cream, that provides the sweetness it needs that along with nice crunch that comes with the coconut flakes. What even helps is that the whipped cream has real vanilla bean mixed into it which provides a nice vanilla flavor to the entire whipped cream. Ultimately a nice combination that is definitely worth the price to go for.

Yelp
I think I've found the perfect French Toast! I'll start with saying that I love French Toast ! Whenever I'm out and about and having breakfast at a restaurant,French Toast is always the best way to cap off a meal for me. Brique French Toastery is NEXT LEVEL! A hearty ,delicious, decadent treat that can be enjoyed not only for breakfast but throughout the day. You can tell that this treat is made with love and care . Every component that goes into building this perfect French Toast is fresh and delicious. I've had the pleasure of experiencing this delight several times and I have to say that it is consistently delicious! Thank you Brique French Toastery for the wonderful experience!

Yelp
Noticed a new restaurant and thought it might be a quick pop up shop to get the buzz out. Located on the first floor next to Macys and Eataly at Century City Mall. The aroma of French Toast was what attracted me to the store from its sweet scent. Very cute and posh store. Definitely photo worthy with a few merch and two tables to dine in. Service was very friendly and nice. She told us exactly how long the food will take and called us when it was ready. The coconut shavings were a nice touch along with a hint of peanut butter. Not dry at all and it looks sweet but it wasn't.

Yelp
Just perfect and amazing toast you would have never eaten. Soft and yummy. Next time i will try with milk.

Yelp
I received this bread as a gift and ate it at home-- and it was absolutely delicious! I'm not usually a fan of sweets, but I could eat this all by myself. I think it's the best French toast I've ever had. The French toast is a brioche-like bread that's served with peanut maple syrup, vanilla bean whipped cream, and toasted coconut pieces. I think every element works together really well, and the amount they give is just enough for every bite. The bread, when heated, is pillowy and light. The peanut maple syrup has a nice nuttiness that cuts through the sugar (much less peanut butter taste, which can be cloyingly sweet, but more like peanut + maple syrup instead). The whipped cream is delicious, and I appreciate it way more since vanilla bean is hard to find nowadays. And, the coconut pieces add texture and fragrance. The price is reflective of the detail put into this product, but I think the quality of the bread will speak for itself. It's worth it!

Yelp
Husband and I were in town for business. We could not go back to the Bay empty handed. We had to pass by Brique and bring a couple of boxes back home. Very cute, clean, and friendly staff. We ordered 2 double boxes. We ate one and brought back 2 home to the Bay. We wanted the kids to taste it. LOVE, LOVE the peanut butter syrup. I bought a bottle of the syrup. Unfortunately, my daughter is allergic to peanuts, but she did use regular syrup and LOVED IT! Kids said: you have to take us to Brique when we go to SoCal.

Yelp
This spot is on the first level of Century City mall in the corner near the escalators. Clean inside, they have apparel for sale too which I thought was cute. The cashiers are attentive and answer questions. The French toast is always light and fluffy, very consistent as I've been here a few times. The toppings come in containers and you can pour it on yourself/adjust how you like, which is nice. I bring my friends from out of town here since it's a different concept and they've all loved the syrup. A little too sweet for me to finish all on my own but great to share would recommend to try at least once!

Yelp
Pardon my French toast but OMFG. Lucky me indulged in the same epic French toast today from Chef Rocky Mercedes that she's made for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's cheat days, and WOW of course The Rock knows best when it comes to cheat days! The massive 4-inch thick "Rock Toast" (more like a Rock LOAF!) is not messing around with its buttery cinnamony bready goodness, plus peanut butter coconut maple syrup (!!!), fresh vanilla bean whipped cream (you can see the vanilla specks!), and toasted coconut chips, and now I need to go workout like The Rock LOL Although high in sugar I treated my fur baby Stitch to a couple of small bites & he was really into the toppings :) Chef Rocky founded Brique French Toastery to bring Rock Toast to the masses, and it is a must whether you live in Los Angeles or are just visiting. Head to briquela.com to pre-order for pickup in LA. They sell out a lot but check it out on Sundays when they open orders for the following weekend. After I placed my order, I received the standard order confirmation email. Then a couple days before my scheduled pickup date I got a text confirming when my order would be ready with location info. Guerilla-style I picked my order up in a CVS/Trader Joe's parking lot, where they had set up a small tented table with their gorgeous briques and packaging, plus a fun banner. The well-packaged briques traveled great and included instructions for reheating them when I got them home. I popped them in the oven for a few minutes as instructed, and then feasted. It was so worth the money and driving across town. Plan ahead to treat yourself next weekend and hit up briquela.com!

Yelp
I didn't even have it right out of the oven, and oh my goodness: the BEST French toast I've eaten in literally years. The mixture of flavors was fantastic. I took it home and heated it up with simple provided instructions, and the servings lasted me two days. Fantastic!

Yelp
A MUST DO! 4 & 1/3 STARS! They have Free 1 Hour Parking here too! This is one of the Hottest places to eat right now! You got to come here at least once & find out what The Buzz is all about! Everybody is Talking about THE ROCK TOAST! Brique French Toastery is an unusual restaurant a cross between Colossal French Toast meets Tiffany's. They have Upscaled & Changed the Game on what Food To Go looks like with their Beautiful Packaging! When The Rock ( Dwayne Johnson - Moviestar, Bodybuilder & Wrestler) has his Cheat Meal this is his Go To Guilty Pleasure. Chef Rocky - Raquel Rockquemore Breiz Is now The Rock's personal chef & this is what she prepares for him for his Cheat Meal. After a series of Pop Ups they finally have a brick & mortar store. It is located in the BEAUTIFUL updated & refurbished 1 Billion Dollar Century City Outdoor Mall. The shop is located near the escalators on the first floor next to Abercrombie & Fitch & right across from Macy's & above that is Eataly & Equinox Gym. There's a Gym here to shed a few of your unwanted pounds located in the same complex as multiple restaurants who are ready to put those pounds right back on you! Hysterical! Lots of celebrities have stopped in here like Derek Hough & Hayley Erbert from Dancing with the Stars. This is a small boutique type of eatery that has the French Toast displayed right in the window so you know exactly what you are going to get when you order. The interior has an all glass wall, white tile flooring & several tables & chairs painted in periwinkle purple color that matches their to go boxes & bags. So I got The Rock Toast - The Original Brique Single which is a Supersized Thick Brioche French Toast that is lightly dipped in a custard coating. It comes out Nice & Warm right out of the oven. Then they give you a napkin with Gold Plastic Silverware. They also give you 3 containers of toppings. I1) Peanut Butter Coconut Maple Syrup, 2) Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream, 3) Toasted Coconut Flakes. The French Toast was very Light & Airy & Delicious. The Syrups & whipped & the Flakes tasted Good but for me personally it was too over the top. If you Love Ooey Gooey Syrup & Icky Sticky & Crunchy all wrapped into one then you'll love it here. They have taken French Toast & turned it into an Over the Top Decadent Dessert. For me it was Good glad I tried it but it was too much. I would have preferred just a single not supersized just a thick piece of French Toast like a 1/2 Brique with just plain maple syrup & butter. Then I could come here & indulge more often with a lot less calories. I hope in the future they offer this simple classic in addition to all their current menu items. I know every Bodybuilder in the World is going to stop in here & think that if they Eat The Rock Toast they will magically turn into The Rock! You're Dreaming Buddy! LOL! If you come here definitely eat it here while it's hot but save some so you can get one of the cool fancy display boxes to go & a bag. Honestly I felt like I was walking around with Tiffany Diamonds with the fancy box & bag & gold silverware instead of a 1/2 eaten piece of French Toast. LOL! You can also buy their Brique Gold & Brique Toasted Coconut Flakes separately too. They also have a Merch Shop with T Shirts, Hats, Pins, Keychains etc. This is a Very Cool Place! It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Yelp
I just could not keep my eyes off that beautiful store front, and through the glass, I recognized those beauty pastry boxes and their tote bags right away. Stepped inside, a rush of vanilla and coconut scents cheering you up. A friendly guy at the counter so ready to warm up your brick toasts in nano seconds. Menu is simple. 2 hangry guys, looked like just out of the gym muttering to themselves " I'm so hungry sooo hungry." They ordered 1 each for themselves. I had to order 3, one for then and 2 to take home. He got me a cute long box for the double (meaning you order 2 at once), taught me the chef's way to compile the maple syrup ( they cooked it very nice consistency, like a golden lava) a new taste!! 2nd, you open cup number 2, to whip out their vanilla whipped cream, it's heavenly like a $400 eye cream. Last, sprinkle their house made coconut chips. BAM! FANTASTIC!!! Ran outside, I snapped a very beautiful picture in front of their wall. Sinking your gold knife and fork into their 3" toast deem satisfying! Crunchy outside and you could see the swirling bread pattern inside!! These were seriously raised dough, lots of preparation!! Congrats on opening up this store finally! They have done alot at pop ups and helping the local community. I am also very surprised, the brick toasts did not give me bloating feeling. You still have your 6 packs, and feel great.

Yelp
Alright, Beverly Hills / Century City isn't my go to mall--but I was here one day and parked on the east end of the mall to enjoy some good Italian food at Eataly, when coming up from the escalators my eyes saw this beautiful space. I wondered if that was a cool coffee shop I should stop by on my way to the theater. Stepped in and looked at the menu...just French toast, huh? Weird. 12.50 for one of these? It better be good. Put it in the back of my head to stop by after the movie if I'm still hungry. Headed back to the parking area, I passed by it again and my curiosity could not be quenched, I went right in and asked what all this was about. Oh. Apparently it's created by Dwayne Johnson's personal chef. Not bad actually. Delicious. Odd that I had to take it home and warm it myself. Was it worth 12.50? Prob not. Honestly, you're paying for all the packaging, and that probably super expensive space. Far superior French toast can be had at Porto's for half the price, delivered fresh to your table!

Yelp
First time at Brique French Toastery, created by 'The Rock''s private chef, Raquel Rockquemore-Breiz. Enjoyed thick Brioche drizzled with custard, vanilla bean whipped cream, toasted coconut flakes, and peanut-butter coconut syrup. It was one of the best French toasts I have ever had. Had them heat it up and I ate it fresh at the store. They only have one French toast on the menu in two sizes. And lots of coffee, juice drinks in the fridge. The environment is clean, modern, and instagram friendly. Highly recommended if you are craving a high class French toast.

Yelp
The desserts store specialized in french toast is located inside the Westfield mall, near Macy's. It has simple offerings of the Original Brique single or double and Brique Chips, and the food is well packaged and looks very presentable as a gift.

Yelp
Brique French Toastery is close to Eataly (1st floor). There's option to heat up when you dine-in or everything is packaged separately for takeout. The pretty purple bag includes insert with reheating and plating instructions + numbered containers make it easy to put together. Definitely heat up toast in toaster oven for the best experience. For the food: Delicious! If a dessert could be described as sinfully delicious, then this would be it. Huge brioche toast with peanut butter coconut maple syrup, toasted coconut flakes and vanilla bean whipped cream. I didn't think I could finish by myself, but I did. I'd buy the Briquid Gold (syrup) by the bottle - it's soooo good
