Brisa is definitely a looker—gorgeous interior, and the kind of spot that makes you want to take photos before you even sit down. If you’re choosing a place for the ambiance alone, it delivers. Service was attentive, though they’re still finding their groove. That tracks with them being new, and to be fair, everyone was friendly and upbeat. The food? It’s fine. Not bad by any means, but not particularly memorable either. There’s ambition on the menu, but the execution didn’t quite hit. The sushi dishes felt overthought. Nothing was outright bad, just… trying too hard to impress. Overall, Brisa feels like a restaurant in the middle of growing pains—high on vibes, still dialing in the substance. Worth a visit for the setting and maybe a cocktail or two, but don’t expect a game-changing meal just yet.

Such a great new addition to the neighborhood!! We tried brunch and it was delicious! Some very unique flavors on the menu. Give the corn pancakes a try! Breakfast burrito was delicious! A nice wine list as well. Can’t wait to return for dinner!!

Beautifully decorated space and outstanding food. We ordered the Guava Lava cocktail, empanadas, and the Brisa smashburger. So much flavor! The drink was a little spicy, a little sweet, and a little salty from the rim. Our waiter also recommended the Matcha Martini which we will have to try next time. The empanadas came topped with three sauces and some pico, so they were a little messy to eat, but delicious. Loved seeing the Latin-Asian fusion options on the menu. We arrived around 6pm on a Monday and the restaurant began filling up while we were seated. They offer a fantastic happy hour menu and the people on staff were friendly and fun. The atmosphere is laid-back and aesthetically pleasing with gorgeous glassware and warm furniture pieces. 10/10 recommend Brisa for your next date night, girls night out, or solo dining experience! They have seating for all sorts of group sizes.

I had just finished a half marathon and all I could think about was French toast—so when we passed by Brisa and spotted it on the menu, it felt meant to be. I’m so glad we stopped! The service was warm and attentive, and the vibes? Immaculate. The covered patio is filled with lush, tropical greenery that gives the whole space this breezy, boho-chic feel. It’s the kind of spot you could easily turn into a Sunday Funday with the girls or gather a group for brunch. I ordered the tres leches French toast and it was phenomenal—super indulgent, but so worth it. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in San Diego. This place just gets it.

Brisa is giving major Tulum vibes! The atmosphere is vibrant and relaxed, perfect for a night out. The menu offers a creative mix of Asian and Mexican cuisine that really stands out. I had the Modern Man cocktail and it did not disappoint — perfectly balanced and refreshing. Service was excellent from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back to try their brunch!

Food was incredible, took suggestions from our glorious server Miguel and he did not disappoint!! Drinks were delicious & served quickly. Such a beautiful atmosphere as well. Will be back to try more!

Google
The restaurant has a truly beautiful ambience and decor—elegant, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The service was also impressive, with staff who were attentive and courteous throughout the visit. The only down fall Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the surroundings or service. The flavors were lacking, and the quality simply didn’t justify the overall experience and price. The drinks were decent but nothing to draw me back. Despite the lovely setting and great service, I wouldn’t return based on the poor food alone. Wishing this new restaurant the best of luck as they continue to grow and refine their offerings. Food we had- corn and guacamole Passion fruit ceviche Tizon sushi Costa sushi

Yelp
Brisa is such a solid spot for happy hour. The food and drink deals are definitely worth it, and everything I tried had really bold flavors. I love how they mix Asian flavors with a Mexican twist -- it makes the menu feel unique and fun. If you're looking for a place to kick back after work with great deals and tasty bites, Brisa is an easy choice.

Yelp
Visited yesterday for happy hour drinks and snacks for the first time, both of which were awesome. Refreshing spritzes and delicious food. We tried the tequeno (like a mozzarella stick), calamari, truffle fries & pineapple chicken dish. Service and ambiance were on point as well. Such a cool tulum vibe that perfectly matches San Diego summer. PS: Another bonus it's their patio is dog friendly!

Yelp
Came in for the Tuesday night deal (half off sushi). We were seated right away and greeted. I thought the restaurant would be a little more crowded due to the deal but there was plenty of seating inside and on the patio. I ordered the coco loco drink. It came in a coconut shell which is a cute touch. For food I ordered the Mar which had multiple types of fish on it. This roll was very tasty and fresh. My husband got the surf and turf also very delicious. The downfall of the visit was ordering edamame as an appetizer and it was given to the wrong table so it came after we were done with our main course. The restaurant did comp it. Other issue was someone in our party ordered a vegetarian roll and that was the last roll to come out after we were all done eating as well. Other than the slow service of food/drink delivery I will come back since the sushi was tasty.

Yelp
Let's talk about the good. The food was very tasty and the drinks were delicious. The place is cute and sits right in the heart of it all in little Italy. We made a reservation and were able to sit right down. For a Friday night, they were not as busy as other places, which I never usually take that as an indicator of an issue. Sometimes some places are unfound gems, and those can be the best places/experiences. Now let's talk about some of the issues. As mentioned, it was not a packed Friday night, there were definitely tables available for seating, so the challenges with service were hard to accept. Service started out great, but then quickly became inattentive. We had to ask many times for basic things like share plates, napkins, and our check. I noticed our server chatting up with some patrons who she was appearing very familiar with, instead of touching her tables. It took so long to get the check in the end, we ended up asking just anyone who passed by who worked here, and finally got a check. We also asked for real wasabi, and what was brought was more of the same American version of wasabi. That was kind of disappointing, especially with a restaurant that has sushi as a featured dish. Would I give this place a try again? Possibly. But the service and attention to detail needs to be reviewed by management.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant during their SpongeBob comic con theme. The restaurant itself decors is really cute and trendy. We had a reservation and ordered some cocktails. The matcha tini was pretty good and my friends enjoyed theirs as well. Service was a bit slow after we put our order in but our server was extremely kind and helpful. We ordered a few things to share, their burger, skewers and a sushi roll. I would say the food is just okay. The sushi roll was the only food item that I would try again. We had churros for desert and I would say those were 5/5! I feel it's more a place for a fun cocktail than anything.

Yelp
I went here to celebrate a friend's birthday over brunch. Decor is fabulous, seating was comfortable. It's a very aesthetic looking place perfect for photo ops Our server was pleasant and attentive. He offered customers favorites when I asked. Cocktails were yummy. I had the guava mimosa and needed Americano to wake me up. Food came out very timely, and beautifully presented. Food itself was okay. The skewers were a highlight. I'd come back for the sushi to give it a try.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and was immediately impressed by the ambiance, it felt like I was in Tulum! My boyfriend made a reservation, and we were seated right away. The restaurant didn't look too busy for a Monday at 5:30 p.m. Our waitress was super nice and patient with our questions about the menu. I appreciated her honesty in letting us know it was her first happy hour shift and that she asked management for clarification on some of our questions. According to the website, the HH menu included a pitcher deal featuring the chef's selection of 4 tapas along with one pitcher of either sangria, La Laura, Guava Lava, or Coco Loco. We were hoping to choose one of the cocktails for the pitcher, but we were informed that the deal now only applies to sangria. Since we weren't in the mood for wine, we ordered other cocktails from the HH menu instead. My boyfriend got the espresso martini, and I ordered the horchata martini. A little while later, they let us know they were out of the horchata martinis, but they kindly offered to let us choose a cocktail for the pitcher instead. We ended up with the Coco Loco pitcher, which was served in cute coconut bowls, so picture worthy & delicious! For our tapas platter, we chose the calamari, pulpo (octopus), piña pollo frito (fried pineapple chicken), and empanadas. Everything was good, except the empanadas, which were a bit too dry for my taste. We also ordered the Little Luxe - a tiny lobster roll with caviar crème and the Brisa Bento from the HH menu. Lobster roll was super tiny but good. Unfortunately, the Wagyu skewer in the bento was tough and dry. Our favorite item was the Costa Roll from the regular menu. We were initially skeptical about ordering sushi since this isn't a Japanese restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised--the fish was super fresh with a great rice ratio. We ended the night with the pineapple sorbet. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the spot. The portion was small, and although it was supposed to be topped with fresh fruits, it came with frozen ones instead. Overall, I thought the restaurant was solid and offered great value for happy hour. I'd recommend that the restaurant update their website to reflect the most current menu and deals more accurately. I'll definitely be back to try more items from the dinner and cocktail menus!

Yelp
Mom's Night out on Thursday! We made reservations weeks in advance, but we were running a few minutes late due to mom things. We were warmly greeted by Jenny. She sat at a sunny high top table. The space itself is great vibes, almost island meets zen energy. We made it just in time for Happy Hour. So many stellar options but we decided to go with: Fish Tacos, Passionfruit Ceviche, Costa Roll Poke Bowl and Calamari Fritti. For libations my friend ordered the Guava Lava and she thoroughly enjoyed it! Fish tacos were lightly battered salmon. The flavors and textures complimented each other well. The salsa was just amount of heat! The freshness and flavors came together well in the Passionfruit Ceviche. It came with multi-color corn chips. I would have liked plantain or taro chips. Costa Roll was larger than we expected but very tasty. Poke Bowl was not what we had expected, but the miso was a pleasant surprise. The Calamari Fritti was my least favorite, we waited to long to eat it so maybe it would have been better hot. It didn't come with the tentacles which is my favorite but the pickles were good.' Cocktail came out immediately and food steadily followed. There was a minimal wait for food. Our server Fernando was super attentive and friendly. Jenny truly made the night enjoyable. She made sure to check on us just enough. The space is lovely, food yummy and service exceptional. Can't wait to come back to try the Pina Pollo Fritti!

Yelp
Flavorful Fusion & Cute Vibes at Brisa We visited Brisa in Little Italy after a Pilates class at Helios Pilates (just a short walk away!) for a 7pm reservation--and it was such a cute little evening. First off, the interior is absolutely adorable--chic, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. It has that trendy, modern feel but still feels relaxed and welcoming. We sat inside, and the ambiance made it perfect for a casual date night or catch-up dinner with friends. The food? So flavorful and creative--a bold and fun fusion of Asian and Mexican influences that really works. Every dish had layers of flavor and unexpected combos that kept us reaching for more. Definitely not your typical fusion fare--Brisa makes it feel fresh and elevated. The service was friendly overall--our hostess greeted us with a big smile, and we were seated right away. You could tell they're still getting into their groove as a new restaurant, though. Our server forgot our side of mole at first and later also forgot the coffee, but to their credit, they were kind and attentive once reminded, and they comped the coffee to make up for it, which we really appreciated. All in all, Brisa is a lovely new addition to the neighborhood with a flavorful menu, beautiful interior, and kind staff. I'll definitely be back once they've had a little more time to settle in--and to try more of that amazing fusion menu!

Yelp
Beautiful brunch spot to be added to your list of places to try. Brisa easily is a spot I'd come back to for brunch with the girls. It's very cute inside with lots of windows allowing all that natural lighting in. I ordered the crab Benedict with house potatoes. The Benedict was great, the potatoes were crispy but very dry. I think if they were gold potatoes, they'd be perfect~ I ordered an iced matcha and honestly, I shouldn't have expected quality matcha at a spot that's not known for their drinks. It was presweetened and watery, not for me. Service was great, our waiter was attentive and very informative. Overall, I'd come back for the food and to try their dinner menu.

Yelp
Firstly the decor of this place is very cute and island themed. They've only been open 2 months! The staff is very attentive and kind and our server, Louis, was amazing! He let us know about the specials and what was most commonly ordered so here's what we got and what we thought! Drinks were delicious. I got the Guava Lava and my friends boyfriend got something with banana infused whiskey which he really liked. Appetizers: Calamari (very tender), Octopus (tough, not tender at all, would skip this order if you're thinking of getting it), Corn and Guac (delicious although the chips they provided were not ideal for dipping as they break apart very easily). My friend and I both got the steak. It was good but i dont know if it was worth $50 something. My friends boyfriend got one of the specials for the night, the Lobster Fettuccine, which came with the lobster on the shell. As far as taste, he just said it was "ok" so make of that what you will. I'm open to going back, but would just try other items on the menu.

Yelp
We love trying new restaurants and BRisa was on our list. I came in on Tuesday for happy hour before a Padres game. To our surprise they have half off sushi on Tuesdays! We ordered their edamame, calamari, truffle fries, and corn with Gauc. The appetizers were amazing. We also ordered all their rolls since it was half off. The rolls are good too but a little saucy for me but I would still come back and order no sauce. The place is so stinking cute. I loved the decoration and their happy hour drinks were delicious. I will probably come back for dinner. Customer service was great!

Yelp
Luca & Chris took great care of us at the bar! Excellent service, premium drinks, even made my favorite cocktail that's not on the menu. I used to go to a popular restaurant in the area for calamari, but this place has stolen their business -the calamari was made to perfection! The slight chew is reminiscent of the Michelin star restaurant on the island of Burano (Italy). A couple of people have recommended their sushi, can't wait to return to try it! Love the pink feather chandeliers and mood lighting. Definitely adds to the ambiance. When closing out, our bartenders sent us complimentary bubbles. What a nice touch, CLASSY!!

Yelp
Super cute spot!!! We just popped in for a quick drink while we waited for the Barbie Cafe Pop up to open. It's so damn pretty in here and it was elegantly decorated with Sponge Bob themed decor but in a sophisticated way. Honestly some of the best decor I've seen in a restaurant! Kudos to the designers Kadah such a fantastic job. It would be cute for a little party here! Might have one for my bday here. It's so cute! The reviews are amazing and I need to come back to I can leave one for the food!

Yelp
Excellent service and the food was amazing. Cocktails were amazing, my favorite was the Tokyo made with gin. Pulpo was my favorite shareable was the pulpo. Ambiance is romantic when they dim the lights.
google avatar

Yelp
The ambiance is really cool, very loud in there though. We were seated next to a speaker, but it was overall comfy and enjoyable. The service was great, everyone was very nice and accommodating. We were checked on several times by different staff. The food was very good with a nice presentation. The steak was perfect, the sushi rolls were tasty, the Brisa oysters were yummy, and the drinks were delicious. Parking is a hassle in this part of town, there is a valet service just down the block, so that makes it easy.

Yelp
Brisa is a new restaurant in Little Italy. It advertises itself as 'Latin American flavors meet Japanese finesse'. Most of the dishes were either one or the other. The pollo appetizer was the only dish that I would call 'fusion' cuisine. That said, all of the food was very good to excellent. We shared five 'Shareable' plates as opposed to ordering apps and mains. Had the guac and street corn, pollo, grilled octopus, ceviche, and yucca fries. All were very good. The guac and street corn and grilled octopus were stand outs! I would have licked the plate for the guac and street corn. Having a shellfish allergy, disappointed that I couldn't try the sushi rolls due to potential for cross contamination. There are several creative cocktails on the menu comnbining Japanese and Latin American flavors. We had two great cocktails. The Coco Loco and Hot Mango Tango were excellent. Overall we had great service. Kassandra was attentive, professional and very friendly. She answered all of our questions, even going to the kitchen to get answers. All of the other wait staff were efficient and friendly. Ambiance was nice but nothing special. Had an enclosed patio section. Also, a bar with about 10 seats. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

Yelp
Loved our time at Brisa. The Passionfruit ceviche, while I do wish there was a bit more there, was delicious! Fresh & perfectly citrusy. The sauce with it was great, a good balance of sweetness from the passionfruit :) Our server was great and attentive during a busy hour and while it seemed they were all slammed. The decor is fun & modern chic, and we loved that we could bring our small dog on the (basically inside &covered) patio. Will be back for sure to try more of their food.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute new spot in little Italy! When you first walk in it's giving very tropical vibes and they have an outdoor patio and indoor seating. We came for happy hour and they have a few small plates on the menu. We got the happy hour where you get a pitcher of drinks and 4 tapas for $35 which is a great deal! The guava lava cocktail is delicious and not too spicy! The tapas were small but a good appetizer. Definitely a cute place to come when in little Italy to grab a drink!

Yelp
'Brisa' is Spanish for breeze or light wind ... Brisa Restaurant and Bar on Kettner Bl and is about 4.5 blocks from the harbor/marina. The space was formerly occupied by Zinqué, a French Café restaurant. No valet, no parking lot, just limited metered street parking :/ Earlier this week, friends and I stopped in before a Padres game. Ordered multiple selections of food and drinks from the menu and we were offered off menu foods which will eventually be offered in a upcoming happy hour menu; I especially liked the various sushi(Brisa, Mar roll) the potato chips topped with caviar, the champagne mimosa flight and the jalapeño spicy guava lava drink. I can't comment on any entree dishes, didn't try this time. I read some issues about some hot entrees not being served hot, food temp issues is concerning... Most of the foods we got were cold appetizers, smaller portions and no entrees. The food and drinks menu was a fusion of Mexican and Japanese inspired foods and I liked that we were able to share everything tapas style as we would also have drinks and snacks during the Padres game at Petco Park Stadium, within walking distance. Service by multiple servers was great. The interior space was nicely decorated, incorporating a lot of Tulum Mexico inspired decor to a vaca like vibe was nice...I'm so glad the interior layout had an abundance of outdoor lighting filtering inside. As for decor, there wasn't an overkill on faux flowers as many new places seem to do. While you may or may not feel the sea breeze here, Brisa is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, maybe a worthwhile try.

Yelp
service was terrible and appetizer was raw. Literally frozen solid. I privately messaged on Open table and the restaurant never responded. They clearly don't care about bad service. Great decor, horrible food and Customer service.

Yelp
Brisa is a fusion restaurant and bar that opened in Little Italy and is the newest entity from the San Diego Dining Group. The ownership already has a few Italian restaurants in its portfolio so it was nice to see them pivot to something different in this neighborhood. The inherited space on the ground level of the AV8 apartment complex was not vacant for long and was modified with a touch more Latino decor than its predecessor. The grand opening was less than two weeks ago. I sat at the bar on a late weeknight during the soft opening. Brittany was the bartender on duty who served me. The one-page food menu offered a mix of Latin American and Japanese cuisine in the form of shared plates, raw bar, salad, sushi rolls, sides, and main courses. I started my meal with a Tizon Roll from the sushi section. The components were crab meat, cilantro, and onion topped with torched salmon, truffle oil, yuzu, and black tobiko. There were eight pieces in the roll which was pretty good in quality and size. For an entree, my choice was the Smoked Pork Chuleta. After asking how it was prepared, Brittany stated that it was like a grilled ham steak served with cilantro-lime rice and mixed vegetables. When the dish arrived, the pork was drizzled with chimichurri sauce and adorned with multiple grilled peppers. I didn't care for the amount of peppers and wished there was another type of vegetable included like carrots or tomatoes. The sauce obscured the meat and may have been better served on the side. I did receive a complimentary mocktail that was made up of lime, soda water, and spring dragon syrup which made the drink red in color. A few cucumber slices were added as garnishment. It wasn't too sweet and resembled a cranberry soda. For the service and food quality, I gave a four star rating for my dinner at Brisa Restaurant & Bar.

Yelp
Having seen this new spot circulating on IG, we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately the food and service left a lot to be desired. Starting with a positive, the space is beautiful with decor that's reminiscent of Tulum. Beyond that, we were pretty disappointed sadly. While we were sat immediately, it took awhile for our server to check in. Hopping into food: - The oysters tasted pretty fishy, and it wasn't because of the masago. They weren't cleaned very well so the bite was gritty with small pieces of shell. Also wish it had more ponzu/citrus. - The pulpo had great flavor but it was so so tough. Reading some other reviews, I see that others had the same experience. - The tuna tartare was fresher than the oysters and I enjoyed it overall. I just wish it was slightly more seasoned with soy or salt in general or had the spicy mayo drizzled on top as opposed to sitting under the rice cracker. - The pork chuleta was the most disappointing thing of night sadly. It seems others enjoyed this so it may have been a one-off, but the texture was so bizarre. I cut into it thinking it was incredibly tender, but upon biting into it, it was just mushy and almost gelatin-like. I truly think it may have been spoiled. The server was so gracious when we told her and explained it's smoked so it's supposed to have an almost pulled pork texture. But this had zero bite to it and I really do not believe it was meant to be that mushy. Overall I don't think we'll return based off this experience :/

Yelp
Beautiful chic decor with a live DJ and very attentive and friendly staff. Kudos to them for being fully booked during their soft opening weekend. We tried to make a reservation for dinner but they were fully booked so we ended up stopping by during their brunch menu hours and were greeted and seated promptly. Everything about the place was pleasing to the eyes, from the entry way to the dining areas and bar, all beautifully decorated. The restrooms are either single, family or coed and they have a community handwashing area. Their menu offers a mix of Latin American and Asian dishes, perfect if you're like me and love to get a little taste of both of these worlds and those favorite food items. The bar had a good variety of libations to choose from but there were limits. The dishes had a nice presentation and were large portions. Unfortunately, some of our food items were undercooked but they were gracious enough to offer to remake and accepted some feedback on the food items we ordered and issues we encountered. With that being said, I hope they prosper after working out all the soft opening kinks and I do look forward to visiting again to try different items.

Yelp
Came to visit this " BRISA " a new restaurant in Little Italy. It was very easy and fast for us to choose from their menu since they all sounded good. I let my wife order everything for us. We had PASSIONFRUIT CEVICHE as our appetizer, and for our main meal , we got the POLLO MOLLE , SMOKED PORK CHULETA , MAR SUSHI ROLL . I like the Passionfruit Ceviche, it has a hint of citrus and sweetness to it, with nice chunky seafood. Pollo mole ( chicken ) was tender and with a delicious house-made mole rojo, this meal came with rice and veggies. MAR ROLL was amazing, it's delicious and freshly made. Our favorite is their SMOKED PORK CHULETA ( pork chop ), so tender , this Pork chop is smoked perfectly and it's a big size pork chop, really a delicious one, this also came with rice and 2 bell peppers with a nice char on them. Guava lava was delicious. We didn't get a dessert since the only ones available were churros and cheesecake and wifey was craving for a different dessert. Jenny and Stephanie were a sweetheart, both very accommodating. Nice ambiance. Parking is not easy to find, but there's Valet nearby. Their Grand opening is tomorrow April 10, 2025.

Yelp
I had high expectations since I've been wanting to come here. Decor is soo pretty and I'm always walking by, so I decided to for my birthday lunch. We were pretty disappointed. We ordered a lot of food to try. When I asked for chopsticks for the sushi, we got some random Chinese take out chop sticks. A restaurant in little Italy should invest in their utensils given San Diego is pretty diverse and you're serving sushi. We also got some tuna tartar and didn't love that. The "Korean" friend chicken situation tasted like it was frozen. My aunt says, "taste like it's frm Costco". Yukka fries were ok. The only thing that was good were the drinks. We ended up going to Iron Side and spent another $300 to eat seafood. Service was fine but not amazing, given there wasn't a lot of ppl and plates were coming slow. Will not be coming back.

Yelp
Worst restaurant experience in a looong time! My experience here makes me think this business is getting friends to make reviews, paying off review platforms, or just getting reviewers happy drunk. Service greeted with a smile and once they hooked and reeled us in, it took forever to get our order in. The food took forever to come and once it did, was it awful. The coffee was watered down and had no flavor, the eggs were severely undercooked and the "sauce" was basically a can of salted tomatoes--no joke--and my tongue burned from the amount of salt in the food. And when the french toast came out, somehow they screwed that too as they were made from stale bread. They tried to "correct" things by bringing us churros on the house and they were the worst I've ever had, stale and probably more than a day old. The ambiance attracted us in, but avoid this place if you like to spend your money on good food and a good experience.

Yelp
I had just finished a half marathon and all I could think about was French toast--so when we passed by Brisa and spotted it on the menu, it felt meant to be. I'm so glad we stopped! The service was warm and attentive, and the vibes? Immaculate. The covered patio is filled with lush, tropical greenery that gives the whole space this breezy, boho-chic feel. It's the kind of spot you could easily turn into a Sunday Funday with the girls or gather a group for brunch. I ordered the tres leches French toast and it was phenomenal--super indulgent, but so worth it. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in San Diego. This place just gets it.

Yelp
I was really excited about this one. We made reservations in advance and had a visitor coming from Paris. Food was great but what made the stars fall for me is that the service was severely lacking. It could be because it was a slower Monday but wow, we were a bigger party and yet felt the service was not up to par. Water was NEVER refilled unless asked. They forgot a few things but did not mention that they forgot it but when asked, then teh food came way later. The food and drinks are great though. The aesthetics are beautiful but not sure i will be back.

Yelp
My friends and I were excited to try Brisa last night, the restaurant's aesthetic is absolutely beautiful, and the décor really sets a lovely mood. That said, there were a few areas that could use improvement. When we arrived, the hostess was very friendly and provided great service. She initially tried to seat our party of 6 at a table where we'd all be lined up facing a wall, which wouldn't have allowed us to converse comfortably. After letting her know, she quickly found us a better spot, and we went to the bar to wait for our table. At the bar, our bartender was cold but seemed busy; a bit more warmth or small talk would have helped us feel more welcome. We tried to get his attention a few times before he made drinks to let him know we wanted to switch, but unfortunately we couldn't because he was too busy talking to his coworkers. Once we were finally seated, the music volume at our table was quite high, making it hard to carry on a conversation without yelling. This is not the place to go if you want to be able to talk during dinner you really can't hear anything about the music. It also took a little while for our server to check in. She was courteous but didn't offer recommendations for drinks or dishes, and we had to ask for refills on cocktails and extra utensils. Our food arrived at different times, the sushi came about 10 minutes after the rest of our meals, which disrupted the flow of our dinner. We even requested a small modification to our sushi roll, but were told it wasn't possible because they were too busy. As for the dishes, 3 of us opted for the Smashburger, but it didn't quite hit the mark for our group. One friend returned hers, and our server quietly removed it without prompting a replacement. For a burger that's $25, it really should come with french fries or at least the server should ask if anyone wants to up grade to french fries instead of the chips it comes with. The Costa Roll we shared also felt a bit past its prime, 2 of us were sharing, and only had just one piece, and we had to request extra chopsticks after mentioning we were sharing. Brisa has a lot going for it, from its gorgeous ambiance to its inventive menu. With some adjustments to volume level, service attentiveness, and kitchen timing, this spot could easily become a favorite.

Yelp
The sushi was solid, especially the Brisa Roll -- super fresh and flavorful. Lewis and Kristen were great! Would not recommended the oysters.

Yelp
First timer here, showed up at 12pm on Saturday and it was very cutesy! Parking can get bad around the area or you can just pay at ACE.. love the atmosphere it was giving very tropical vibes.

Yelp
We celebrated a bachlorette last night and I am so happy we chose this restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and we appreciated their hospitality and service. Shoutout to Cassandra and Julio! Everything we ordered was fantastic. I am definitely planning on coming back again next time I'm in SD!

Yelp
Brisa is a nice addition to Little Italy. We came here for dinner and upon entering the ambiance was welcoming. Their Menu has a lot of good listings. We ordered: *PASSIONFRUIT CEVICHE *MAR SUSHI ROLL *SMOKED PORK CHULETA (Pork chop) *POLLO MOLE *GUAVA LAVA Our appetizer, the PASSIONFRUIT CEVICHE, came with tortilla chips. It has a nice balance of acidity and sweetness, it was freshly made. The MAR ROLL was full of flavor, very soft. I love that it doesn't have rice on it. POLLO MOLE - An organic chicken with house made mole rojo, the chicken was small, but it has a good seasoning on it, it also came with Rice and veggies. The SMOKED PORK CHULETA (Pork chop) was delicious, so tender, I think it was the most tender Porchop I've ever had, it came with rice and bell peppers. Taste wise, it's delicious, but it kinda almost tastes like Ham already, but a very good Ham and not like a typical Pork chop that I usually order at the other restaurants. This porchop is big and thick. My GUAVA LAVA drink was amazing, it has a good perfect spice on it. We didn't order the dessert 'coz they don't have much selection yet on the dessert part 'coz they just opened their restaurant recently. I hope on our next visit they have creme brulle on their Dessert menu. Nice service, but difficult to find a parking around. They have good food, drinks, and service.

Yelp
So I have seen a lot of hype for this place on social media so my girlfriend and I decided to try it out for happy hour. We decided to grab a seat at the bar and immediately were pretty rudely greeted by the bartender asking us to move so he could clean off the bar top. Understably so for needing to wipe it off but there was definitely a better way to say it. From there you could just tell this person was clearly not having a great day or something because he seemed to avoid trying to take our order. We did finally put in some drinks and decided to go with the happy hour bubbles. We ended up ordering some edamame and a california roll before happy hour ended and the edamame had great flavor and was enjoyable the roll was just okay. I would consider giving this spot another shot for dinner possibly because there is a large menu to pick from but having bad service is something I am not okay with and we ended up closing out and going somewhere else because of how it was.

Yelp
The service, food and ambiance was amazing. Sexy date night spot. I had a birthday dinner here and we had SO much fun on a Wednesday night- probably their most lovely group they've had on a week night but they let us shut it down and everyone who was servicing us was so fun and helpful! Will def return!

Yelp
Went in to celebrate my birthday and had no idea where to even start. The menu is so unique and creative. Luckily, we had Miguel as our server, and we instantly knew we could trust that man with our lives. Rightfully so. Miguel gave us an unforgettable culinary experience. Not only did he guide us through the menu like a pro, but every single recommendation he made was spot on. We had him choose all of our food and drinks, and he somehow managed to pick exactly what each of us wanted -- without even knowing us. HEAVEN SENT. We had the empanadas, the piña pollo, the special ahi tuna, and the plantain chips with dipping sauce (can't recall the actual names of the dishes because, again, he picked -- but the flavor? I'll never forget. 10/10 recommend trying them!!) We had the most amazing time and I can't thank Miguel enough for being the GOAT. He's warm, attentive, hilarious, and made us feel like VIPs. If you go, seriously -- ask for Miguel!

Yelp
Pure bliss in the atmosphere of a Tulum inspired eatery! In the couple weeks it's been open, the fact that I've been back twice should say a lot! The first time was a huge party of 12, another was simply two. Yet both times were extraordinarily wonderful! Food and drinks were of indescribably delicious quality! My favorite entree is the smoked pork. An irresistible drink is the Forbidden Fruit... with lychee, liquor; and doses of heaven mixed together! Both times I absolutely adored the service too. Working in the restaurant industry previously, experiences like this go very far ways! The manager Jenny was so sweet and offered us champagne as a thank you. She even considered that my friend doesn't drink, and brought a refined mocktail. 1000% would be back

Yelp
Very pretty interior, giving Tulum vibes. Service was great. The Brisa roll and hamachi carpaccio were really good. Played really good music too. Highly recommend for a nice quiet date.

Yelp
Brisa is new to Little Italy and my friend and I decided to stop by for happy hour! The Happy hour was amazing! It was priced so well and the food was delicious. We ordered the Yuca Fries, Skewers, calamari and their classic Margarita. Everything was 10/10!! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I went during happy hour and made a reservation for a large party and overall had a really good experience. I came for my birthday and our server was super nice and made it a great place to celebrate. I was a bit worried that this place was going to be just a nice aesthetic and mediocre food, but everything was pretty good! I tried the matcha martini, Hugo spritz, and sangria pitcher and all were really good and didn't taste like alcohol. The happy hour menu is has a lot to offer from food to drinks. One thing I will say is my friends ordered the sangria pitcher that came with tapas as part of the happy hour deal and one of the empanadas that came with it was completely empty. It had no filling and was just the breading . Overall great happy hour spot!
