Bristol Farms - Review - Santa Monica - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There are several reasons Bristol Farms is a treasured part of LA supermarket culture. One of them is an excellent prepared food section that's exactly the right amount of gourmet, including a fully loaded deli and sandwich counter, salad bar, and bakery with impressively thick cookies. But most elite of all is their lemon pepper rotisserie chicken. Due credit to Gelson’s, Lazy Acres, Erewhon, and Whole Foods for their worthwhile heat-lamp chickens (and Costco for being the cheapest), but it’s the crackle of BF's crispy skin, good flavor, and juicy meat that makes it the best grocery store bird in town. And at $13.49 for a whole organic chicken, it's a solid value, too." - Brant Cox

Eric at the smoothie bar is amazing. He made me a glow smoothie that was so delicious that I go back and get one every week. Treat yourself to one of Eric's smoothies. You'll be so happy you did. Thank you Eric!!

Just bought some ribs from your Santa Monica store earlier today (before noon), and after driving about 25 minutes home, we tried to eat them. To our shock, they were completely dry, hard, and absolutely inedible. What’s even more concerning is the packaging — there was no indication of when the ribs were actually cooked (unlike what I’ve seen at other locations). It only had a “Sell By 06/08/25” date, and today is already 06/06/25. That means these ribs could have been sitting out for days and are still allowed to be sold for another two more days. That’s just incredible — and not in a good way. This was not only disappointing, it raises serious questions about your quality control and food safety practices. I expected much better. I'm still giving you 2 stars because we like the other things we bought, especially cheese, we love them.

Google
Bristol Farms, located at Wilshire and Berkeley, provides a delightful shopping experience and exceptional customer service. I especially appreciate their juice and hot bars and would like to commend the juice bar staff for their outstanding service, particularly Yissacor, who consistently demonstrates professionalism and provides excellent customer service.

First the positive - I like Bristol Farms in general, this store location in specific is 1 minute away from home and it was super convenient to shop there for anything our family needed quickly. Now the negative - Yesterday, my husband and I went to the store to get some wine. As we shopped there often, we didn't bring our IDs, because we were out for a walk and decided to stop by on the way back home unexpectedly. As we reached our turn at the cash register to pay for the wine, I was asked to show ID. Please NOTE that I am 44 years old, to be 45 this year, and my husband is 39 years old (I know, lucky me). As we spoke to the cashier explaining we shop there all the time and we didn't bring our IDs, he stated that it's a store policy to ask for ID any person who may be perceived as being under 40 years of age. It upset me that i had to go back home, get the ID, then return to the store, and then back home again, so much wasted time, when it is apparent that I am waaaaay over 21 and not breaking the law. Anyway, I returned with my ID proving I am over the legal age of 21 required to purchase alcohol legally in the US and above 40 as well as they required. I then asked to see the store policy, which the manager referenced that supposedly states any person who appears to be under 40 can be asked for ID prior to being allowed to purchase alcohol. The manager Alfredo brought the policy, a flying piece of paper, which stated that ID can be requested from a person who appears to be 30 years old or less, not 40!!!!! Please see the attached image of the policy. When I questioned the manager why I was wrongfully informed the policy states 40 years and not 30, he said this was just a precaution he takes to be extra safe and that he instructed all store cashiers to apply his requirements instead of the corporate policy. Food for thought - the law prohibits people under 21 to purchase or consume alcohol. And the store manager is adding another 10 years on top of the already conservative corporate policy that requires IDing people appearing to be under 30. Where is the common sense in that? The next day, my husband went to the store without ID (I know, right), not suspecting he would be asked again after being in that same situation the day before while accompanying me, that the same exact manager would ask him for his identification. The result - That was the last time we would ever visit this store. We will be spending our hard-earned money in a different store, with more hospitable customer service and managementt.

Google
I like the store just fine but too many dogs allowed in with owners. One jumped one my leg the other day. The cashier told the lady the dog was not allowed but the lady lied and said it was a service animal. I mentioned that service animals don’t jump on people. The cashier told me to mind my own business. The lady called her an asshole. I’ll shop somewhere else.

Google
Stopped by to see what kind of cakes they have for my son's birthday. Specifically was looking for a tart cake. And they have one! I loved tha fact that they sell these bite sized cakes. I was able to buy a few of them and taste the cake before purchasing them. The store was super clean and organized. The staff was great. Parking is in the rear of the building!

Google
Best grocery store ever . I can honestly say it was the only easy grocery shopping experience I've ever had . It was so easy. They should call the grocery store. SO EZ grocery .Best product selection out of any store I've ever been to and I'm a doordasher. Best overall grocery store ever. I found everything I was looking for exactly in the order. I was looking for it. It was too easy.

Google
Best food store in Santa Monica. Great fresh produce, reasonable prices and helpful staff. Now have self-service tills and shopping carts, so no need to queue.

Yelp
Yelp, "based on my interests", has recommended Bristol Farms Santa Monica numerous times over the last few months, hm... So do I. In fact, it was my go-to when work brought me to Santa Monica on a regular basis. Alas, this location is no longer convenient with my schedule. Bristol Farms Santa Monica's real estate and inventory surpasses both Bristol Farms, Westwood (my daily walkable destination) https://www.yelp.com/biz/bristol-farms-westwood-los-angeles and Bristol Farms West Hollywood (previous home of Chasen's where Hollywood's celebs gathered) https://www.yelp.com/biz/bristol-farms-west-hollywood-3 Should you've nothing better to do, please peruse my previous reviews/tedious updates (Yelp check-in feature was not available then and I know that those who Yelp exclusively via phone won't be able to access my previous content via links above.). Thanks anyway! If like I do, you believe that food is medicine then ignore the price points to complete your grocery list with quality organic produce, proteins, baked goods, wine, spirits, cheese, gourmet products, sushi, prepared foods. (Buy household disposables - paper goods, detergent, etc. - elsewhere, cuz the markup is ridic, okay?) Whether you use a convenient self-checkout kiosk or a pleasant, professional cashier to ante up, do pay attention to your sales receipt. Way at the bottom you may be invited to participate in an online survey to receive either $3 off a $10 purchase or $5 off a $25 purchase. Discount to be utilized within 30 days. Either may be redeemed in tandem with the Senior Tuesday 10% discount (if you're 62 or older) or the UCLA student/faculty daily 10% savings (not sure if this is companywide or just at the Westwood store) on ALL purchases even greeting cards and Bristol Gardens floral offerings. So far this month, I've scored $16, yay! Sticking with 4, okay, 4.5 stars because, as I remember it way back in 2015, the parking lot was dicey.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a long time, but sadly over the years the service has deteriorated immensely! The hot food buffet is sometimes on at 11:15 sometimes at 11:35 and if you date to ask if the hot food is coming out today you get snarked at. Employees done seem to really care and so it seems neither does the management. Seriously? At these prices?
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
Following the incident, the management promptly reached out, took corrective action, and ensured the situation was properly addressed. I truly appreciate their efforts in making things right. Thank you!

Yelp
After seeing the famous Bristol Farms cookie all over social media, I finally stopped by to try one. I ordered the chocolate walnut but the worker was super kind and offered me some sample pieces of the other two flavors as well, the regular chocolate chip and peanut butter. For $3.75 it's a solid cookie with good weight, full of dark chocolate chips, walnut chunks, and it has a crispy exterior with such a chewy interior. The peanut butter cookie was also excellent and chewy. The regular chocolate chip wasn't as good in my opinion but still a good cookie overall.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
This grocery store has a nice parking lot and a good selection of everything. The cookies are amazing! The bakery is so friendly and very helpful. Clean and warm ambiance overall.

Mike M.

Yelp
It's really disappointing that such an expensive store has the filthiest parking lot in Santa Monica. The Management should dedicate a little bit of attention to emptying their own trash cash in front of the store. They're constantly overflowing with garbage. And the parking lot itself is treated like a public dump with no one taking care if it. Maybe the entitled who shop here feel they can just throw their trash anywhere but it sure is disgusting. Do better Bristol Farms and people of Santa Monica. Please.

Yelp
This is by far the best grocery store of all of West LA all of the employees here they're awesome from Denise to the manager Luis, Yolanda and Adele. if you're craving a sandwich, have it made by the infamous best sandwich maker Clay. When you shop here you're treated like family by all the employees. If you're craving orange chicken, Bristol Farms has the best. From their dry aged ribeyes, chicken salad, and decadent cookie .... This grocery provides the most options with the highest standards. This is also probably about the only grocery store right now that isn't experiencing an egg shortage. I really enjoy eating here. The ambience is really nice and there's also Wi-Fi.

Yelp
Beautiful Ambiance, impeccable produce, huge variety of products. Custom baked goods, salads & sandwiches.

Yelp
I love this store!! Always great deals in the meat and seafood departments.. I won't buy meat anywhere else because when I have it's always a disappointment!! Great produce.. It's always a pleasure to shop here!!Especially when you are lucky enough to have Adele as your helpful checker!! I always love to see her smiling face.. she completes my shopping trip!!

Yelp
There are many things I like about Bristol Farms. I don't mind paying a premium for quality food and a pleasant shopping experience. Something I dislike: The prices on the shelf is often different from the checkout price. Sale prices often ring up at regular prices, and I don't realize it until I get home. I know I could probably go back to the store to address it, but I really don't want to waste time being "that person" who complains about being overcharged $2.50 for some stupid yogurt. That would just be embarrassing, and it's not worth my time and energy to do that, but it is highly annoying. Something I really hate: That overzealous younger guy manning the self-checkout. He knows nothing about personal space. Not only does he stand within inches of customers while looking over their shoulder - I understand the point of that, and I'm okay with that, but he reaches his arm in front of my body and starts pushing buttons for me as I'm finishing up and entering my credit card information. I never ask for his help nor do I need it. It's as if he's rushing me through, but there is no one waiting behind me. I wish the store would train him to just be present for when someone needs the help, but for the LOVE OF F*CKING GOD, GIVE ME MY PERSONAL SPACE and DO NOT reach your hand in front of my body when I didn't even ask for your help.

Yelp
Good morning, of 1-2-25 I went into the meat department to get me some ribeyes for special occasion best friend in town and saw these amazing dry aged ribeyes so I got 3 of them.. we grilled them up that night with some adult beverages and they came out amazing you cannot find steaks like this at a regular grocery store.. thank you Edgar and Nate for helping me with the ribeyes..

Yelp
I always enjoy going to the Bristol Farms in Santa Monica. I live near Erewhon, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Bristol Farms and I have the best experience at this store. Produce variety is top notch and always abundant. The store is always clean and there are many helpful employees. Bakery selection is incredible. Lots of delicious prepared foods. Beautiful flowers on display. And there's usually a sale on a variety of interesting items. Shout out to all the cashiers who are so efficient and helpful. A special thanks to Denisse M who's always sharing different promos such as the upcoming Hatch Chili related events and other discounts. She is the best! Bristol Farms x Brat Summer!

Cascarano C.

Yelp
I probably go to the Bristol Farms and Westchester about twice a week and have turned a lot of people onto a market that has been forgotten by many. I had time to kill and so stopped by the Santa Monica location and brought with me a weekly special for spicy tuna rolls. They were out of spicy tuna rolls, but had about 10 fiesta tuna rolls. This is the exact same roll, but with cilantro on top. I thought that since they had such a large supply at the end of the night they would be happy to allow a substitution since my basis for shopping was to grab the rolls. I was denied. I get that the promotion said "no substitutions", but I was substituting for something that was going to be thrown out in a couple of hours and I was only willing to grab this roll so I didn't go home empty handed. Alfredo the manager denied me. I suppose his superiors will reward him for that, but I am going to take a long break from Bristol Farms. I shop this market to feel like I'm going to a local market. I don't want a canned responses. I want employees that feel they have some autonomy in a situation like that.
google avatar

Arturo S.

Yelp
The best spicy tuna I have ever tasted in town! Vilma did an amazing job! I will definitely be coming back soon.

Susann D.

Yelp
If you want to experience an amazing freshly made sandwich, find "Clay" in the deli department. They have freshly roasted turkey, pork, beef, bacon, etc. My current favorite is the tri-tip steak sandwich. No employee there, in my experience, has been able to match the skill Clay has to make the best sandwich.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Edgar at the butcher counter is the man. The store is clean and well stocked, not usually too crowded. My go to grocery store.

Zion G.

Yelp
Came here on two occasions this weekend. Nate at the butcher counter gave us a really nice prime rib and removed the bones without us even asking. We also came once to pick up some mussels, but there was no one behind the fish counter at the time. Nate saw us anyway and helped us out. He made sure to pick out the healthiest live mussels that they had. Excellent service and very friendly.

Russell F.

Yelp
Enjoyed the ambiance and vibes. Had great service from Kenna .. I was feeling blue .. her and the coffee brightened my day Definitely coming back, Rusty.

Yelp
This place continues to disappoint me in terms of customer service at a high end grocery store. I had to return something and Chris working the register could not have been more unfriendly. He huffed and puffed after finishing ringing up the person in front of me and then acted completely annoyed throughout the whole interaction of returning my item as if I was thoroughly inconveniencing him. He also said "So you're not going to buy anything?" very condescending like. When I was done he apologized to the customers behind me for whatever reason and said it wasn't his fault. I get that he was the only one at the cash register but why take it out on the customers? I'm never coming to this location again.
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
For years, this has been my very favorite market. It's in my extended hood, and I drop in even for small things, or a coffee and pastry. Alas, my last experience makes me wonder if even this shining icon is going downhill. I wanted some soup and hot takeout from the deli self-service counter, and have always been so happy with their choices. Not today. First, I stopped at the soup case near the cash registers. Matzo ball soup: absolutely the worst I have ever tasted in my life. I'm from L.A., I know good matzo ball soup. This tasted like the thinnest chicken broth with no salt and no flavor. The matzo ball was gooey and oily. There were barely any little carrot or celery pieces, and the noodles were almost paste. What the heck.....? The white clam chowder was o.k., but the creamy part tasted like they changed their recipe. It wasn't delicious, it was just.... there. More potato pieces than clams. Just not really creamy and delicious. For takeout, I got the turkey and mashed potatoes. The turkey didn't taste like it was cooked enough, the small amount of gravy just tasted like flour and water and the mashed potatoes were greasy. The staff seem very uninterested, which makes me think they aren't treated well. Well, I will continue going to my very favorite store, which is Gelson's, where I have never been disappointed, even during covid. Bye bye Bristol Farms. I guess we had a good run.

Len G.

Yelp
Service from the men in the meat department was rxceptional. All the guys were nice, courteous, and very professional. A great experience at their meat sale. Luis Vasquez store manager is to be commended for this store and great staff. At checkout the cashier Denisse super nice and really helpfull
google avatar

Blanche M.

Yelp
Stopped by this location for a quick bite. I surprised to see how big this location and how cultured their food was. Immediately I was in awe because the sushi section was up at front. They had a plethora of items to choose from, and all appeared to be of good quality. I chose a few things from their sushi bar, and wasn't disappointed. Even their crispy rice was crispy. The three stars is the lack of customer service. Not that I expect so much, but at least an acknowledgment. I was checking out, and the cashier totally ignored me because she was conversing with another person. The only interaction I received was, "do you want the receipt with you or the bag." I sort of felt discriminated in a way, but that was just me. This was my first Bristol farms location. I really liked their food. Hopefully other locations aren't like this or have self check out.

Franky S.

Yelp
I'm giving bristol farms 5 stars for their beer and cookies!! Everything else and it being a grocery story as a whole, it's not bad. Prices are okay. The location is huge. But let's be honest, you come to Bristol farms for their famous cookie! It's massive and only a few bucks. It's easy to eat the whole thing in one sitting, but I wouldn't recommend you do that. My wife and I always walk over here when we're craving something sweet. And make sure you check out their beer. They have a pretty good selection for a grocery store. Free parking

Yelp
Had to go out this way for an errand and found a treat. Had some delicious hot food and a salad. Fun to walk through the store.

Yelp
Great quality and good customer service. The service was top nothed. Parking was easy.

John S.

Yelp
This gelato is insanely good. I grew up in Italy and can't believe it! Nancy Silverton's chef kiss!

Aisha S.

Yelp
I grew up in Pasadena and spent many hours and tons of money at that location. I come to this location often and I constantly find myself complaining to the management about their rotten food. The beyond sausage is kept in an area without sufficient refrigeration and the products have spoiled. I have complained three times and it is still on display...looking like sad cardboard links. Very disappointing for such a pricey place.

Michele V.

Yelp
My husband and I frequent this location almost every week for dinner deli and salad bar items . Often items are out of stock but we try to get there very early in the late afternoon now to avoid the issue. Sometimes we are successful and sometimes not. Last night my husband went for salad fixings and made a big salad from the salad bar. The FRESH spinach and lettuce was completely wet and soggy. The mushrooms and chick peas - the same. This made everything else wet and soggy. Not good. Then be brought what was supposed to be a fresh baguette bread and it was hard and stale as can be when I unwrapped it and sliced it up. Very disappointing. This store really needs to up it's standards. It is really going downhill.

Yelp
Bristol Farms is by far always the best place to stop anytime period. My favorite thing is the brisket & tri tip! Also it's amazing to see Jr. here at this location. He is kind and still remembers my custom sandwich I usually order! The employees make the experience and always bring a smile on my face. That's why I come Bristol Farms. Seeing a friendly face and grabbing a custom sandwich by the food bar. Thanks Jr. again

Yelp
I shopped here yesterday and had the most wonderful experience with a cashier named Bryan. He is very tall and cannot be missed. Also his wonderful bagger Randall! They gave exceptional service and took the time and care to ring up and bag my groceries. They were efficient and overall excellent!! They are under a manager named Mike and I cannot tell enough people to shop there! Please promote, recognize and compensate Bryan and Randall for excellent service. This was for 1/28/25!!

Yelp
Online fulfillment and delivery from this location is never accurate. The website will list items as being in stock and by the time I place an order only 1 item will be delivered. Bristol Farms is a "specialty" grocer - I shop here when I want specific items and brands. Whether it be food items, general beverages or wine - every order I place is significantly reduced and many times to 1 item (for which I am charged full delivery). I work in West Hollywood/Beverly Hills and the BH location is always fully stocked. It makes no sense to me that my orders are fulfilled from a Bristol Farms in Santa Monica 6.5 miles away when there is a location less than a mile from me. I have literally driven to the BH location and they have had everything in stock I ordered online and was told (after the fact) was not available. I am done - if you fix it - let me know because I love the store but I can't use it for my business.

Daniel B.

Yelp
If you want one of the best sandwiches and services in Santa Monica, come visit Bristol Farms. Rene provides the freshest quality and the most amazing service out there. Thank you Rene. I will be back.

Niaz K.

Yelp
Reviewing Bristol Farms simply for their food because that is what us Yelpies do best. Sushi 4/5 - the rice was a little thick for me but the quality of the fish and vegetables in the roll was very fresh! Poke 4/5 - large pieces of spicy salmon and tuna. You can customize how much of each you want. It's like a poke salad bar. Tomato soup 5/5 - this has to be one of the best tomato soups I've had from a grocery store! Try it!
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
Bristol Farms catering is very professional! I worked with Denise and she was so patient and kind! Thanksgiving dinner was done so well and delivered hot by Bristol Farm Deli ! I will definitely be using their service again and again ! Thank you for your service!

Yelp
I started shopping at Bristol Farms when the South Pasadena location opened in 1985. It was always a treat for myself. It was a little pricey, but it had the best bagels, texas chocolate cake, and meat/seafood counter. Mostly, the customer service was over the top. Since moving to the west side, I go less often because I do not live near a location. When I find myself in Santa Monica, I try to stop by. The last 2 times I have been there, I have been horribly disappointed. I usually treat myself to Tuna Poke when I go to Bristol Farms. But last time I was there, the spicy poke and regular poke were mismarked. I spent $20 on something so spicy I had to throw it out. I was also unable to find any fresh bagels. For this trip, it was like shopping on the dark side of the moon. I stood at the meat counter for several minutes without seeing anyone. I left when a gentleman by the seafood counter, who was there long before me, started going to each counter and calling out, trying to find someone to help him. I moved on to the juice/coffee area, lured in by a large "fresh" cookie. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes. There was no one in line in front of me, and there appeared to be 2 employees working. One cleaning up dishes and the other just standing at the back of the station. Either these employees were holograms or I was invisible because they never acknowledged my presence. I finally gave up and went to check out at the self checkout. Not one human interaction in the entire trip. Going to Bristol Farms is no longer a treat. Just a money pit. I get better service at the Dollar Tree.

Jessa B.

Yelp
I love this market, I walk a mile to get there each day. They have the best and largest organic produce, amazing cookies, but most of all I really like seeing the friendly staff, especially Adele, who is always cheerful and helpful, and makes me feel happy and comfortable at the store. There produce fish and meat are the best, and large stock of organic and gluten free goods!

Racun S.

Yelp
I'm a regular customer at this store and never had the great customer service i received this Tuesday. Mrs. SONIA at the sushi department is the BEST !!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

winnie r.

Yelp
I can not believe it has been 11 years since my first review. Definitely, time for an update. Everything in the market is displayed so beautifully that I feel as if am entering another world. Near the entrance are sumptuous arrays of flowers and all fresh. To the right of the entrance is the produce section which was well stocked and the employees in that section were helpful. I found everything I was looking for and bonus points for aisle signs being legible and coherent. Seafood customer service rep was just great. I normally go to S.M. Seafood but decided to try B.F. The steelhead trout I cooked tonight was so fresh and the asparagus I roasted were perfect. As a side note: I have a physical condition which has left me unable to drive so I have been dependent on delivery services (Instacart and Uber Eats ) for a couple of years. I finally got sick of their add-on charges which amounted to an extra $10 or more per order. Decided to take Uber to BF. I told cashier (vey nice gentleman) that I was taking Uber and he volunteered to pack my groceries in such a way that I was able to lift them. Now, that is great service!!!!.

Keiry V.

Yelp
I love this Bristol Farms! The customer service is always amazing. Cecy in the flower department always helps me pick fresh flowers and makes beautiful arrangements. She really knows how to combine colors and make arrangements for any occasion. I also love their natural living products. Elena has always been so helpful in helping me find items that I am in search of. She is so knowledgeable and knows what to recommend when I can't find what I am looking for. They go above and beyond in assisting me every time!

kim b.

Yelp
On 4/4/24 I was approached by a petition gatherer at the main entrance. I asked if she was a "paid" petition gatherer, yes, she said. I went inside to shop, asked for the store mgr . (Luis), he wasn't in, they got Charlie, supervisor. I explained to him that I do not support having "paid" petition gatherers on private property. These gatherers are trained and scripted to give false information. They are deceitful. This is how awful tax increases get on our ballots. They aren't volunteers who present facts. She came inside and was very upset, claiming it's her job, Charlie did nothing, he allowed her to continue her work. Trader Joe's would never allow this. Clearly Bristol Farms is more interested in supporting "paid" petition gatherers, than keeping pick pockets out of their parking lot. They don't care about customer safety. Luis didn't return my call..

Yelp
I have been shopping at Bristol Farms stores for over 40 years, starting with the formerly named Chalet Gourmet store on Sunset & Fairfax, now Bristol Farms Hollywood. I'm writing not only to say how consistently terrific the Bristol Farms food, service, and friendly ambiance is, but also to give HIGH props to two Store Directors, Louis Vasquez at Bristol Farms, Santa Monica, and Kyle Thieme, at Bristol Farms, Westwood. As a veteran, I recognize a 'tight ship' operation, and both stores are extremely well run, A plus, 'tight ship' operations, employed by these two Store Directors. I HIGHLY commend the Bristol Farms management for employing these two outstanding gentlemen. Having been to a number of Bristol Farms stores over the years, BF is my "Go To" store. I enthusiastically recommend Bristol Farms to anyone who wants a truly satisfying shopping experience! J. Vecchio

Yelp
Can anyone tell me why a whole, uncut pineapple costs $16.99 at Bristol Farms Santa Monica on February 27, 2023? I ended up going to Trader Joe's Santa Monica, & purchased a whole, uncut pineapple for $2.99. It's the same size as the one I saw at Bristol Farms.

Yelp
Let me tell you about my racist experience at Bristol Farms Santa Monica this evening . Picture this 730pm on a Friday night you enter a peaceful store and get followed around by the old white security guard. Not even in the store 5 minutes and he moved his location from the front of store to keep an eye on me and my boyfriend who just came in to get some frozen goods and a cookie. To add insult to injury as my boyfriend paced around a few feet away while waiting for me, an employee approached asking if he needed help then mentioned loving Motown playing on the radio at random for what reason? This store should be disgraced in attempts to make us feel unwelcome and obviously race related as plenty of non-black people walking about without being followed.

Rudy G.

Yelp
I would not recommend market. They have sale prices listed and then full price when you get rung up by the cashier. Had an old grumpy cashier snap at me "I am bagging your groceries" - all I did was ask a question. Need to shop elsewhere. Why pay high prices and then get grumpy service?
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
Ok, ok... I concede that the prices are a little stupid, especially when it comes to the mark-ups on everyday items and kitchen staples. But I try to steer clear of those items and get to the good stuff. It's clean, well-stocked, and generally has short lines and helpful staff. Their meat counter is to die for. It is truly a gem. Recently, we bought two ribeye steaks and had a better meal at home than we've had out at any local steakhouse. All of the other meats here are amazing as well. The deli items are also A+. Same goes for prepared foods. The produce section is also on-point. Be ready to cry a little when you see your final total at checkout. But if you stocked up on the items I suggest, you'll have a very good week

Yelp
I'm here to give a review to the floral department... I would highly recommend going to Ceci for any flowers need. She gives the best quality flowers, we been going to Bristol I want to say for about 2 years every Thursday or Friday. Ceci is amazing!!! Always letting us pick the best flowers and telling us what's in season. If you need fresh beautiful and high quality flowers better go to Ceci at Bristol in Santa Monica.

Yelp
Bristol Farms is not on my top list for grocery shopping, but I decided to give this specific location a try from a co-worker who comes here often. She was raving about these teriyaki bowls and when I went, they had them with chicken, broccoli, carrots and brown rice. I believe the cost was $10.99. However, I prefer white/steamed over brown when it comes to bowls, so I skipped on this to try their vegetable egg rolls which were about $4. Although I just mentioned I prefer steamed to brown, they did have some cooked brown rice ranging from $.92 to $1 or so. I ended up picking up one of these since I know the four rolls wouldn't fill me up. The only human interaction I had was with the cashier who seemed nice. These vegetable rolls were really good! I would definitely come back for these on another trip. I've been to the West Hollywood one on Beverly/Doheny, and the Hollywood one on the corner of Fairfax/Sunset and neither really warrant a repeat visit. Pleased to say this one will be one I would be willing to visit again.

Yelp
Used to love this store especially the hot food bar. Understandably stores stopped food bars for pandemic but this store never came back. Today there was almost no hot food. Manager happened to be there and I made comment. He said you should get here at 6. I was there at 6 and was same food! Then he said "we'll come at 4:30 all the food is out. What an idiot, does he not realize people come for dinner? Other customer walked up same time and scowled "no food as always." Clerk said they're worried about throwing food away. If you put food out, people come eat!! And Shop! I came for hot food and spent $100! I do it all the time. I'm done here though. They make excuses for terrible Managment and deserve to lose business. Bring hot food bar back! "If you build it they will come." Unfortunately the store has pissed too many people off and may not return for long time.
