"Situated in the Calle Uruguay business district, the Bristol Panama has epitomized style and elegance for over twenty years. The 56 rooms and suites all feature Frette linens and mahogany furnishings, plus bathrooms outfitted in Italian marble. Named for a famous—some would say notorious—local street, the art-filled Salsipuedes Cocina & Bar is considered one of the best in the city for its contemporary Panamanian fare. The restaurant also houses a first-rate bar with 70 rums, including 12 from Panama alone—try the well-regarded Ron Abuelo Añejo 15 años, available in sherry, port, and cognac cask finishes. When guests want to relax, they can head to the large outdoor pool and solarium, or book a massage at the hotel spa, which incorporates aspects of lomi lomi, shiatsu, and Thai stretching into its many treatments."

Really excellent hotel with superior service. Great location between the national parks and Casco Viejo. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. We had an executive room with a kitchen and laundry. It would be really easy for the hotel to stock a single laundry pod and some essentials for washing dishes since the local stores require you to buy larger quantities. The restaurant and bar on site are fabulous. It’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had while traveling. I’ll happily stay here again.

Really clean and welcoming rooms with spacious bathrooms featuring a full tub, shower, and a private toilet area. The rooms are exceptionally quiet, and the elevators are efficient. The breakfast offers a good variety of hot and cold options, and the coffee is tasty. The hotel is located in the Financial District, which is not very touristy. It's a good choice if you prefer a quieter area and are comfortable using ride-sharing services like Uber, as the area is not as walkable as the city center.

Good for the price. Large room sizes. Nice thick carpets limits noise, but the walls are relatively thin. I found the pool unpleasant due to high chlorine. Front desk staff and valet service was good enough. Decent but mixed reviews for restaurant and cleaning. Gym was decent for a hotel of this size.

I booked a large suite. For a reasonable price. And it was a very pleasant surprise as it was large, very well decorated and extremely comfortable. And it included a beautiful and perfectly equipped kitchen. Great bathroom with obviously both a bathtub and very large walk-in shower all in marble. Amenities were of great quality. The best of all were the bedsheets, the very softest cotton I ever slept in, a dream. And I am comparing this to other five star hotels.|I also wish to outline that with one exception the front desk team is great with a very special mention about Danai: truly a first class professional, knowledgeable, smiling and efficient.|I had dinner at the hotel and the food is truly good. And service is nice. My only suggestion would be to have a lot of variety of white wines by the glass but apart from that delicious with great memories about possibly the best sauted potatoes I've eaten and a fantastic coconut dessert. |So everything perfect? As usual, a couple of things could be improved. Breakfast lacks hot dishes and the few that are available are lukewarm at its best. No egg holders for boiled eggs and the service on the contrary of dinner is not very attentive. |And at the front desk, Juan should copy his attitude to his female colleagues. |In conclusion When I return to Panama I will obviously choose the same hotel that is undoubtedly extremely well managed. Congratulations

From the moment I entered the lobby I was made to feel welcome. Danay completed my check in and check out processes but during the week she always remembered my name and asked about my stay. Juan also rememebered my name and gave great directions and food recommendations. Juan also set up a rum and chocolate tasting then personally came to make sure I was enjoying the experience. Restaurant and bar staff were friendly and engaging. Going above and beyond to remember drink orders and were I liked to sit for breakfast. Housekeeping in this hotel is phenomenal. Everything is clean and smells great. I truly cannot say enough about this hotel and the people that work there!

From moment I walked in the hotel I was warmly greeted by Juan who was very helpful and offered information about area, restaurant and activities. The room itself was large and comfortable with a nice view. The bathroom offered a separate shower, toilet and large soaking tub. There is an exercise room and pool on 5th floor, a spa on 25th floor, a bar off lobby and an amazing restaurant on 5th floor. The hotel offers several activities which I highly recommend. I went with the chef (and Juan to translate) to the markets and came back to make ceviche. I even got to choose my own lobster for dinner which was amazing. The restaurant is Michelin quality and inventiveness. Flavors are amazing. I had lunch 2 other places which were excellent but the food at Sal ti Pudes is the best I have eaten in years! I should also mention how incredibly friendly everyone was. Wait staff, hostess, front door staff ( Raul and Gabriel) always had a smile and greeted me by name. I am already making plans to return!

Overall highly recommend this hotel. The staff are amazingly courteous and helpful. The spa is great! The location is central. The rooms will not disappoint nor will breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Would definitely book again if I returned to the city.

I booked a stay at this hotel using the Hotels.com app and the ratings on Trip Advisor. I traveled to Panama for the sole purpose of getting away to a tropical climate during the Christmas holiday. Booking the hotel was simple and I think I got a great deal for the price tag. I was able to reserve the hotel shuttle to pick me up from the airport and drop me to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, the service was mediocre. The doormen were ok, but the front desk help seemed too busy to check me in - I was the only person trying to check-in. I immediately loved my room: comfy bed, big tub, and nice shower. I did find it odd that not too long after a member from the help team came to “check on” the mini bar. I found that odd, but I let her check it. Breakfast was probably the best thing this girl has to offer. Correction: the Salsi Puedes restaurant is the best thing this hotel has to offer. ALL of the team members in the hotel restaurant were phenomenal. From the hostess to the servers, they made my experience a tad bit better. The spa was ok, I’ve been to better. I think the price was ok for a 50 minute massage and 30 minute facial, but it wasn’t memorable. The location of the hotel is one of the worst parts. It literally sits in between the business district and the “hood”. It’s semi-walkable, but I used uber to get to where the fun was (The Causeway, the malls, Casco Viejo, and Mercado De Mariscos). Ultimately, I think the hotel staff (not including the Salsi Puedes team) struggled with having to cater to a Black woman. I felt it anytime I approached the front desk for help, when speaking with the front desk people at the spa, and some of the doormen. I’d probably never return to Panama City, but if I do Bristol Panama would be my last resort.
