We were in town for a concert and recommended this place by a local. Our server, Tony was phenomenal. Top 5 service experiences. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for seafood and steak. Ask to sit in Tony’s section. You won’t regret it.

There’s something comforting about Bristol in Creve Coeur, it has an old charm to it that you don’t see as often anymore. The space feels classic and inviting, and it attracts an older crowd. The seafood was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and prepared just right. Our waiter was friendly and really knew the menu. He offered several suggestions and answered all of our questions. Bristol’s is the kind of place you go when you want quality food, good conversation, and a little reminder that some things really do get better with time. I’ve also heard they have an excellent happy hour!

Google
Our experience was absolutely wonderful! Our food was amazing! The lobster bisque is chef’s kiss! We didn’t have reservations, just happened to drive by, and saw your restaurant. We weren’t disappointed! It was a great place to celebrate our 24th Anniversary. Our waiter, Calvin, was awesome, very friendly, and attentive.

Google
My waitress was super sweet, just not a good waitress. She was slow to get things we needed (app plates, regular butter, etc) to the point that the food was cold or everyone was done with their appetizers while I waited for a plate. The food was mostly average. The biscuits were hard as a tock. The crab cakes and cauliflower au gratin were very excellent! The chocolate cake was fire! But that's about it. The rest of the seafood was bland and mediocre. The steak was dry and overcooked. I plan on going again just to try other foods that I'd like to try before I completely write this place off buy so far I'm not impressed for how much it costs.

Google
Really great place, service was great and the brisket with buttered honey is something else! Had the fixed price menu and was really happy with it! Recommend !!!!

Incredible Service. Ashley, the bartender was so helpful with our drink and dinner orders. Food was amazing and look forward to coming back soon!

My guest and I tried the new halved chicken dish and it was delicious. Our server was named Apri and she was friendly, attentive, and professional. She offered great suggestions for our meals and dessert.

We popped in on a Monday evening to celebrate a birthday and try their Happy Hour. Their selections are great and the service was impeccable. Thank you, Ashley.

Yelp
Came back a second time! Absolutely loved my experience at Bristols in Creve Coeur! The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for any occasion. A huge shoutout to Brad, who truly made our visit memorable. His attentive service, friendly demeanor, and expert bartending skills impressed us all. The cocktails he crafted were not only beautifully presented but also delicious. Brad's knowledge of the menu and personalized recommendations elevated our evening. I can't wait to return and well-deservedly give him and the entire team a five-star rating for an outstanding dining experience! Awesome local restaurant, great atmosphere and service. Upscale all around. Rebecca was a nice attentive waitress. Great seafood.

Yelp
We live in the middle-of-nowhere, so when we have the opportunity, we opt for fresh seafood. Bristol is a nice restaurant. There were a lot of business diners. The atmosphere is nice, but not stuffy. We were traveling and didn't feel underdressed in casual attire. I could also envision this as a nice 'date night' venue. Our waitress, Michelle, was great! She was attentive and friendly. Very professional and knowledgeable. The restaurant does h Ave a GF menu, but Michelle was able to expand on it and make suggestions. We split a Caesar Salad for a starter. It was fresh and the dressing was excellent. The Asiago Crisp was a treat! Michelle split this for us, and it was a generous portion. My dining companion had the seafood sampler. Everything was properly cooked. The crab cake was the highlight. Lobster Mac & Cheese was an upgrade well worth the $$. I ordered the Halibut, which was a catch of the day, with a twice baked potato & the spicy green beans. My Halibut arrived severely overcooked. Michelle was gracious, apologetic and took care of the issue immediately. Not only did they replace my fish, but a completely fresh plate was delivered. The Halibut was excellent! I would choose different sides next time. The green beans lacked flavor and heat. The potato dish, which is baked in a ramekin, was dry. Overall, I would definitely return. The service is exceptional, and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. The seafood, the reason we choose Bristol, is excellent!

Yelp
Bristol's ambiance is old school comfort. There is a lot of wood and brass. The design is comfortable, evoking sumptuousness. There is a heavy use textiles, which mutes sound - something I very much appreciate. It's a place to take your time. I have been twice recently. Once I had crab cakes and a Caesar salad. The other time I had the salmon special with green beans and cauliflower au gratin. Both times I had lobster bisque. The bisque has a great flavor. It is creamy, but not heavy. The sherry is evident but not overwhelming. It is balanced. There is minimal lobster. It is pricey. The crab cakes are okay, not great. They use lump crab, yet the flavor is bland. The Caesar salad is also bland. The salmon was decent, but not $30 decent. The outside should have been crisper and the inside a little less cooked. The green beans were fine. At least the cauliflower was not overcooked. The au gratin was a bland cheese sauce - disappointing. The service was great both times. Both servers gave us time to talk and did not rush us. Overall I like the environment enough to go back even if there are better food options.

Yelp
Came early for dinner to be able to enjoy some happy hour drinks and noshes. Nice selection of eats and drinks. The cauliflower appey was amazing and my margarita was tart and yummy. Very , very , noisy in that section of the restaurant. Shouting to converse throughout. Diminished the experience. Our group had reserved a private room . Quiet, nicely set up and service was attentive. Menu selections and drinks menu enjoyed by all. Desserts..... oh yeah! Pricey but special dining.

Yelp
Bristol never disappoints! I had my usual char-crusted ahi tuna--my absolute favorite--and it was perfectly prepared, as always. My date ordered the crab cakes, which were loaded with flavor and beautifully balanced, and we started with oysters Rockefeller that were simply decadent. The food was incredible from start to finish, but what really made the night was our server, Calvin. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was timed and presented perfectly. I've had Calvin before and, just like the restaurant itself, he never disappoints. If you're looking for consistently great seafood and outstanding service, Bristol is always a win.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience with their happy hour. I heard that this restaurant had a fire last year, which was shocking because the interior is gorgeous! The food was great, the drinks were delicious, and the prices were unbeatable! We also were celebrating a birthday and they gave us a free desert of our choice - we had the crème brûlée and it was spectacular!

Yelp
Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing on the menu. However, I expect everything to be exceptional at a higher end seafood place like Bristol's. Being a weekday and not a really a special occasion, I was being a little budget conscious. I ordered the panko fried shrimp at $29. It came with fries and Cole slaw. I have had much better fried shrimp and fries at church fish fries for more than half the cost. Shrimp were overly breaded and bland. Both shrimp and fries were greasy. I'll have to say though the slaw was unique and very good. The highlight of my meal. This was my first time at Bristol's. I love seafood. But, this visit wasn't a good first impression.

Yelp
I made reservations online for Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere and customer service was great, the staff was very attentive. The food was awesome. My favorites were the omelet station, maple glazed salmon and the carrot cake. The mimosa had lots of bubbles with a splash of orange juice. There was a great selection of food. I had a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
First time here - very classy and delicious. The waitress was very attentive and provided great recommendations. All the fish is fresh and flown in. I had the Mahi Mahi with risotto and asparagus. It was $33 for the lunch portion, which was perfectly sized. Not too much food, but enough to fill you up. Definitely recommend this for a nice business lunch. I'll have to go back for a dinner sometime.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and we decided to come the day after Valentines since their were no reservations on the actual day. When we arrived we could not find a close parking space and ended up parking in the back of the restaurant. Understandable considering the busy weekend with the holiday. Glad we had a reservation because we were seated immediately while it was a large crowd waiting. When we sat down our waiter asked us what we wanted to drink. We had not been sat for a minute lol I told him this was our first time so we needed a minute. I ordered a mocktail ( had blackberry in it) and my date ordered a glass of wine( he said it was dry tasting). We settled on the wood maple salmon with asparagus with potatoes and surf and turf with whipped potatoes and asparagus with grilled shrimp. The food was amazing. I was happy steak was actually cooked medium well. The grilled shrimp tastes good and those whipped potatoes were bomb. I added a little salt to the asparagus but the tomatoes actually paired well. I'm glad I didn't listen to some of the reviews because the food was seasoned well in my opinion. The star of the night was the butter for the biscuit that I didn't get a picture of because I ate it too fast. The place is clean and I like that it gives a dim listening in the inside because it's perfect for a date night. Our bill came out to be about $118 with a $20 tip. It's a nice place if you're looking to splurge a little. As always until next time...

Yelp
My sister & I had dinner there last night (07/02/2025). I loved the decor, and the food was great. Our server Meagen did an exceptional job of taking care of us, and in making us feel welcome. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Andy S.

Yelp
The service and setting is nice. We had apps and wine (1/2 price bottles on Sunday). Everyone enjoyed their meals. My tuna was a bit over cooked but overall enjoyable. The biscuits are always good.

Yelp
We went to Sunday brunch and we're not disappointed. Bristol is such a classic old world type of restaurant. Lots of wood, brass and stained glass. We had a large party and were sat in a private alcove which was lovely. The brunch had so many offerings! The bread pudding and ahi tuna stood out for me. I would say it was worth the price and we had wonderful service.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Dined here two nights in a row as it was close to my hotel. Upscale, yet relaxed atmosphere. Sat in the bar one night and then a private dining room another night. Both experiences were great. First night I had the maple glazed salmon, and second night the 6 ounce fillet. Salmon was awesome and their sides of asparagus hash, and my added side of lemon risotto were delectable. The fillet I had was cooked as ordered (medium) on the inside, but a bit charred on the outside . Have a handful of local craft beers on draft and they were super good! Service in the bar was adequate, service in the private dining room was much more attentive.

Yelp
We visited Bristol for an anniversary dinner and were so happy with our choice! We had a semi-private table, tucked away in a corner with little doors and curtains blocking us off from the rest of the dining room. Our server was so kind, although new to Bristol, she still knew the menu and answered all of our questions. The Smoked Old Fashioned cocktail was to die for! My favorite one I've had so far. The food was delicious, however a couple of dishes arrived to our table cold! That was a little disappointing considering the price of their offerings ( think $$$). The crème brûlée was just okay, nothing special. My husband ordered the chocolate mousse cake and that was 10x better than my dessert. Other than that we had no complaints. Good experience and will likely be back for special occasions!
google avatar

Yelp
Bristol was AMAZING! I went for my birthday and I loved every minute of my dining experience. They were able to accommodate my large party of 12 which I really appreciated. We were able to eat in one of the private rooms, and we were given great servers. Everything I ate was perfection, especially the crab cakes! I'm a crab cake addict, and their crab cakes were full of delicate crab meat and very little filler. One of my favorite crab cakes in the STL area hands down. The vibe inside was slightly upscale and dimly lit. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I received an email this morning advertising Bristol's famous "lobster fish'n chips". Talk about WONDERFUL ! I took some friends, and we had a blast. Calvin was an attentive but not "hovering" waiter. Great service, great food, and classic ambiance. In my mind, can't get better than that! And a bonus...I can tell my cardiologist I had fish (we just won't tell him is was fried!

Yelp
Fantastic drinks! We love a good happy hour before dinner. This lavender drink was so cute and tasteful. Steak is was tender and flavorful.

Toni D.

Yelp
Bristol's never disappoints and nor does the service. Thank you to Calvin for making my birthday lunch so special. The lobster bisque is always delicious and so were the lobster rolls. My husband had the sea bass and said it was cooked to perfection.
google avatar

Irene N.

Yelp
The food was great, seasoned well. Ordered the special of salmon with lobster risotto and green beans. The other was the surf and turf with the Atlantic salmon. As for the app, we got the calamari. For dessert, they treated us with the chocolate molten lava cake. The service was great. We got excellent help and were waited on an appropriate amount of times. The ambiance was quiet, relaxed, and great.

Yelp
Visited for an anniversary dinner. We had reservations and were seated immediately. After reviewing the menu, the Prix Fixe is what I selected as it was a three course meal with a variety of entree options. I opted for the daily catch and noticed my mahi mahi was definitely a lot smaller than the guest sitting next to me. I liked the smokiness of the fish but it was a bit more on the dryer side than I would have expected. The gentleman passing out the biscuits was attentive and our waitress was friendly. The only negative part of the evening was an observation while the table next to us was offered to have the remains of their meal boxed, our table was not. Based on our table location we had a great view of different parts of the restaurant. From this view it appeared custom for remaining parts of the meal to be boxed by the servers. Not sure why this wasn't the case for us. If I decide to visit again I'll definitely request for the server to box the remains of my meal.

Yelp
This is a nice place. Very classy upscale. There is plenty of parking here and everybody seems fairly nice. I will say it's a little pricey, but you probably get some of the better food here too. I'm not sure but it does taste delicious. I used to be strictly a vegetarian and now I'm a semi pescatarian so you know they got some good seafood in. It's delicious but I don't eat all of them just the fish. They have plenty of parking out front table service. Nice. Quiet music and it can be romantic type atmosphere. Easy to talk if you got other people with you. It's not loud.
google avatar

Dustin F.

Yelp
You're paying a premium for food that is ok, but not worth the price. I feel like this place is living on the reputation of days past and only survives by nostalgia and coupon deals. The service was mixed kind of pushy, but thoughtful when the kitchen was backed up. I'm not necessarily mad at the experience, but for the cost you can probably find a much better experience elsewhere.

Yelp
WOW. location, easy to access, plenty of parking. Greeted nicely. seated immediately, almost 5pm. Calvin was incredible. Such detail, tone of voice was nice, great conversation. He knew the menu. Thanks Calvin for the experience and GREAT food. Calvin helped us with beer selection, and menu. Wife had alot on her plate, portions are bigger than i expected. She does not like scallops. she asked me about quality, only thing i could reply with is 'scallops should not be rubbery' nothing on plates should be rubbery. as a sign of overcooked. she tried one, and wow, she regretted giving me one. we share..... we enjoyed everything. We did not get a salad, so there is a reason to return :) Dessert was incredible. That is all the likes, i dont have any dislikes. Again, i wanted to say something to other associates working there, tell them that Calvin was incredible. Recommend this establishment. 'yes' Rating 4.99999999.

Yelp
Great spot for a nice business lunch or dinner! We went for lunch and were immediately seated. Daily seafood specials and a wide variety of options on the lunch menu. The lobster cobb salad & shrimp tacos were made with fresh seafood and were yummy! They also walk around and offer you fresh biscuits right out of the oven. Go give Bristol a try!
google avatar

Annette R.

Yelp
We hadn't been here in a while and it was a solid motivator to return. We love the old school lounge area and similar style throughout, with the intricate wood paneling and private rooms peeking out from the perimeter. The two-tops are definitely a little small. Melissa waited on us and was really sweet and fairly attentive. You cannot beat their blackberry martinis (tonight was with jalapenos). And of course I would almost be happy to skip the entire entree for a tray of their biscuits. I had the lobster cobb tonight and would definitely order it again. My favorite ingredients are the generous lobster portion, the seasoned corn, and the homemade croutons--the dressing is one of the best I've had.
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
I think this place must have been amazing during my childhood but it's not not worth the price anymore. Service is always fantastic, but the food itself is flavorless and overpriced. It sort of reminds me of all-inclusive resort food where it looks fancy but eats like a frozen dinner. Even their signature crab cakes are disappointing. Maybe they can turn things around, though, because they always seem to be busy so they have a built-in audience to test any new-and-Improved recipes.

Yelp
I dine out a lot in the St. Louis area and I found my experience at Bristol's very enjoyable. The food was excellent and the service was even better. I had a server by the name of Patty and she was extremely professional. Very nice and did her job very well. She made it a very enjoyable experience. Thank you
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
If I could give Patty 10 stars I would. Talk about the best service! She goes above & beyond for her customers and she always has a smile on her face!

Yelp
The seafood is excellent. Calvin was a phenomenal waiter for my wife and mother's birthday dinner!

Yelp
Fabulous, been 2 years since I've been there. Calvin was amazing great person. Trout was delicious .

Yelp
Can here for my birthday celebration. Definitely make a reservation- they get pretty busy. We started with the Firecracker Cauliflower as an appetizer. It was very good and not too spicy. For dinner I had the pasta and shrimp. It was delicious. I had a nice size portion. Enough for lunch tomorrow too. They gifted me with a complimentary dessert. great ambiance, for dinner they have the lights lowered.

Yelp
Bristol Creve Coeur7 .25.25 630 -7 30 pm. We should begin w/ I have and continue to travel the world for business. I have posted one other restaurant review in 38 years . The Bristol was always my go to for business lunch and an occasional StL business dinner. Tonight, although summer and many on the way to the lake. Friday night ( 7 pm )30% occupancy. Sobeit. The story. 96 f. My wife and I sit at the bar and ask for a beer and cabernet ( cab is now CHILLED 70 f he said.) NO! returned for room temp. I requested qty 6 shrimp on my $12 Caesar - the bar tender sets the bill in the bar glass, $28 for quantity 4( 26/30) count shrimp- probably smaller). My point, if you are going to do me, make me feel good. This was wrong on so many levels and the servers /bar tender , they could care less. Guess what. I care less than the Bristol staff. GOOD BYE Bristol..

Yelp
We were immediately served a biscuit when we sat down and greeted shortly after by our waitress Pat. She was quick to provide our drinks and take our orders. Since Covid, I don't expect much from restaurants because of the staffing shortages, so it was so nice to get outstanding service. My swordfish was delicious and my sides of risotto and vegetables were very good too. A five star experience for me at Bristol's tonight.

Yelp
On Dec. 30th, 24 my husband and I celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked into Bristol's. We were seated promptly. The lighting made the restaurant elegant. Rebecca, our lovely server came to greet us and took our beverage order. Our food came quickly and looked & tasted amazing. I have food allergies and Rebecca went to check to see if dipping sauce had anything I was allergic too; she promptly came back to table and removed the sauce. The complimentary carrot cake was delicious. My husband and I ate off the cake for four days. I highly recommend dining at the fantastic restaurant. D. Young

Yelp
We came for Mother's day and the restaurant was busy! The restaurant is huge with different areas for dining, all elegantly decorated. We were seating right away for our reservations. Their fresh biscuits appeared soon after our waitress took our drink orders. The biscuit tray will also reappear again upon request. A few mishaps during this past visit: steaks were too rare (on the medium and medium rare), dessert plate was full of greasy finger prints around the rim and both the women's bathroom sinks were flooded with water (unable to wash hands). On the positive side, the food came out in a timely manner even though their kitchen was backed up. Lobster Bisque - The temperature could have been hotter, but the soup itself was creamy and delicious. Seafood Mixed Grill $43 - Great variety of seafood in one dish! 4 shrimp, 2 scallops, 1 lump crab cake, piece of salmon, mash potatoes and asparagus. Carrot Cake - Ok, a little on the chunky dry side. .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2023

Yelp
The food is delicious! I came during their daily happy hour 4-6:30 they have $8.5 & $10.5 amplifiers and drink specials. I had the mini lobster rolls, which include 2 rolls and fries for $10.5. Also the shrimp scampi with 5 plump buttery shrimp for $8.5 with a side of asparagus. Eric mu server was kind and attentive. The asparagus was basic but the scampi and tolls were felishas. This is a great place to top for happy hour, I will get the sliders next time.

Yelp
I was excited to return after the fire, however, I will not be returning. I was asked 3 times if I wanted to use a birthday coupon, which I stated I didn't but I think because my family and I were of color it was assumed that we couldn't afford our $300+ meal. Additionally, we had to wait a long time for a sprite which was asked for but the Shirley Temple offered came before the sprite and then I never received my gumbo that I had ordered to go. I called immediately after leaving the restaurant and said I would come the following day. However when I called Friday to say I was on my way I was placed on hold for over 2 minutes and I just hung up. I'm very disappointed. 4/10/25 Check 60 Server Tony W Table 23

Yelp
This review is going to be a tough one because I have mixed feelings. The elegantly beautiful and romantic atmosphere is softly wrapped in warm dark mahogany or cherry wood. Absolutely stunning! If you are searching for a place to experience an unbelievably romantic and soft candlelit dinner, I highly recommend this restaurant. I was also pleased with the quality of service, as the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the food wasn't memorable--relatively average tasting, in my opinion, which was a disappointment. I would rate the interior and ambience five stars and the food three stars. In addition, the lady's room wasn't as clean as I expected it to be either. I will return and give the menu a second chance.

Krischael G.

Yelp
My husband, our daughter, and I dined at Bristol Creve Coeur in celebration of BOTH our 28th wedding anniversary and my husband's 60th birthday. We're longtime customers and were excited to return days after the fire. All three of us ordered from the "three course special" menu, which included desserts. Our food was magnificent; however, we were charged seperately for two (of three) desserts. That said, our food subtotal should have been $189.00 rather than $213.00 we were charged (upon which my husband added an 18% tip). A complimentary champagne toast was subtracted. I noticed the mistake when I was shredding receipts at home two days later. I imagine the discrepancy will be chalked off as it was our responsibility to verify the accuracy of the ticket at the time of payment. Still, a $24.00 overcharge is disappointing for whatever reason it occurred. Telephone messages left for the general manager and a hardcopy mailed letter detailing our experience went unanswered. We won't be back. Longtime customers LOST.

Yelp
First time here for brunch. Great selection and food. If you hungry this is the place to go for brunch. Servers were very attentive as well.

Wanda H.

Yelp
Came here after a play, and enjoyed an AWESOME meal with a friend. The service was attentive, without being bothersome. The cocktail I tried was GREAT, the meal was FANTASTIC, and to top it off, we shared a dessert that they modified for us due to dietary restrictions. The ONLY problem was they didn't offer any milk alternative for the after dinner cocktails. Really a shame, especially for such a nice place. Would've been a five star rating if not for that easily fixable thing... But would come back because the food was SO GOOD!
google avatar

Lexi M.

Yelp
This place is always packed and I finally got to see why! This place seems like it would be just like what a supper club was described to me as. The ambiance is dim and very quaint. The staff is dressed to impress but this place doesn't have a dress code that a saw. The menu was amazing and they had a great list of daily specials. We started with the calamari and I tried the grouper special and my Aunt tried the shrimp Capanelle. We couldn't leave without dessert so we topped off the night with lava cake. It was a perfect evening with some fantastic food! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
It's happened. I am now old and leaving a negative review- but I had my second poor meal in the last 12 months here last night. I have eaten at this location for 30 years, for countless business lunches, dinners and special occasions. It's not good any more. The seafood is no longer high quality, the crab cakes that used to be the size of my palm are now a sad tiny mockery of their former selves. The eggs weren't tempered properly and you could crunch the sugar granules inside the custard of the creme brulee - which tasted/felt like it was pre-broiled and reheated, making it gummy and spongy on top. The service is no different. The waitstaff used to know the menu, knew wine, knew how to service a slightly upmarket seafood restaurant that also used to offer reasonably nice steaks. No longer is any of this true. I'm really disappointed - and will not be back.

Samantha R.

Yelp
The service here was great and the food was amazing! High price point but the food is quality and the service really was top notch. Indoors it does seem really dimly lit so exiting dinner at 7:30 in the summer was really bright after being in the dark while we ate!

Mmb M.

Yelp
Smaller portions than I remember before Covid but still delicious! Still a great restaurant and atmosphere.

Yelp
Food was just ok but not exceptional for the price point. I would give it another try.

Yelp
We made same day reservations and had our own personal little room. Calvin assisted us while dining in. He was first professional and fun. He made our family feel very welcome and well taken care of!! I will ask for Calvin on all future visits!!!

Matthew P.

Yelp
Calvin gave us tremendous service. He was polite, professional, and attentive. The food was great. The cold smoked salmon and Thai Chili Wings were my favorite. Bristol is a very beautiful restaurant!
