I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences at Brite Dental. I visited this office twice in the same week for a scheduled deep cleaning, and both times I was denied the treatment I specifically booked.
During my first appointment on December 3rd, the office performed x-rays that I did not request and then informed me — only after I was already seated — that they would not complete the cleaning because they “do not do x-rays and treatment on the same day.” This policy was never mentioned during booking or check-in.
I returned for a second appointment on December 5th at 1:00 PM for the deep cleaning. After being seated and prepared, I was told the dentist would only clean “half” of my mouth because he “did not have enough time,” despite the office accepting an appointment for a full cleaning. No medical reason was provided.
Patients should be told treatment limitations before appointments are scheduled, not after arriving, signing forms, and being prepared for treatment. This caused unnecessary travel, wasted time, and unnecessary financial concerns.
The dentist walked out after refusing the full treatment, and the dental assistant’s responses were dismissive and unprofessional. Additionally, questions at check-in about whether my insurance was “Obamacare” were inappropriate and unnecessary.
I cannot recommend this office due to the lack of transparency, poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and refusal to provide the scheduled services. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and provided accurate information before committing to appointments. I have filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation regarding these incidents.
