2nd time there, both times for a birthday…THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE! Prices are outrageous and service is confused, the owner doesn’t help her servers. Our party was $450 this time, more the last time. We would pay 10x this to see our mom happy at the place she likes…but this place is just horrible…steaks dry, prime rib ? Or was it ? Chicken breast was cut thin , was extremely dry. Those of us who had soup with our meal , waited an hour and a half to get our soup. Didn’t even serve enough bread for everyone at the table. 17 ppl at our table and the resturant had 8oz cups for water, and only one pitcher for the whole house…so unfortunately , many water refill trips were needed at our table, but didn’t always get filled. It was awesome they wanted the money from our party, but they didn’t want to serve us! Shame on the owners! We even made reservations! This is 2 years in a row, we won’t be back! Shame on your $7.50 side dish upgrade of Mac and cheese from a microwaved cup! Shame on your offsite prepared soup! These other people need to stop lying about how great their food is because it is not !

Google
This place is nothing to look at on the outside, but, the service and the food is amazing. Four of us ordered full racks of Baby Back Ribs and they were delicious. If I had had another 10 minutes, I would have finished the entire rack. I will definitely return.....Great service.

Google
This is definitely a place not to judge by its cover. It is very unassuming outside, but once inside, you get it. Yep its out in the middle of no where, but if you are visiting Bisbee, its not far at all! This is an old school, simple, home cooked meal kind of place. You are greeted like family and treated that way the whole time you are there. I cannot say enough about the service- just top notch. We wanted for nothing. The food - wow. Simple and perfect. You will be hard pressed to find a better steak. Perfectly cooked, tender and lots of side choices. I 1000000% recommend trying the chili relleno casserole. It is excellent and not what you would expect to be served with steak. If you have the chance, also try the soup! We had this amazing creamy vegetable soup and it was just perfect for the chilly rainy evening. Prices are also very reasonable for everything you get! With drinks, dinner and desert the 2 of us spent just about $100. We have paid way more for worse food. My husband is still talking about how good the meal was!

Google
All i can say is amazing. Like its been said before, nothing to see from the outside but go to the back room and go back in time. Cowboy ambiance. Stone and wood walls, nice stone fireplace. Then there's the service. Christopher, the manager and server, was great. Got steak, ribs and bacon burger. Best ribs I've ever had. My wife said the steak was around. Tge 1/3 lb burger had 4 slices of bacon and really good fries. Ive driven past this place for over 6 years and wondered how they could stay in business because one or two cars in the parking lot. But they're open for dinner only. Gave it a shot on a Thursday and loved it. Plus beers are a dollar off on thirsty Thursday. Try them out and you wont regret it.

Google
My husband and I tried this place out for our 8th anniversary this evening. Our waitress Cheryl was great! She was prompt, checked in on us throughout and kept our drinks topped off! The food was absolutely amazing, too! The steak was so tender and juicy, the beef stroganoff with steak tips was super flavorful and the appetizers were hot and delicious! So glad we decided to try out the Brite Spot this year!

Debra G.

Google
I held a birthday party at brite spot for my son and had large group attend. Everyone enjoyed experience. The food is fabulous and staff very professional. I highly recommend.

Google
My husband and I ate at the Brite Spot restaurant this past weekend. We both have the filet mignon dinner. It was absolutely wonderful. This is definitely going to be our go-to place for steaks from now on. We're still talking about how good it was - the best steak I've ever eaten. Chris waited our table and he was very attentive.

Corey B.

Google
Fantastic food and service! Got this as a recommended spot to eat, I can agree! It's a bit of a drive to get down here, so plan for that. Also the food is made fresh and almost is made from scratch, that means it takes time to get your food. The Cactus Cutters are incredible for an appetizer, massive! The ribs are huge, a half rack is the size of most places' full rack. Their filet was one of the most perfectly cooked steaks I've ever seen. We will definitely return!

Lisa M.

Yelp
The ambiance is laid back but the food is upscale! Nice serving of a dinner salad, baked potatoes are soft, and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive (table of six) and got our drinks out and kept our glasses full. Did I mention the loaf of homemade fresh bread?! Yum! You need to give them a try! They are def a hidden gem!

Yelp
Your options along the border are limited but this is a good place to mingle with locals, get a solid meal, and get a better feeling for Southern Arizona. All the American Steakhouse classics executed well enough.

Karen B.

Yelp
Slow!! Took about 2 hours to get our food. Waitress helper inexperienced. Several food options not available. Had reservations for 10 at 6:30pm. Food pricey and not served hot. Not impressed.
google avatar

Jackie J.

Yelp
Great food, they have redone the back. Looks nice and bright. Great service. Would go back anytime.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
My husband and I went here to try a new spot and I'm so glad we did! We both got burgers and they were some of the best we've had. The staff were very friendly. We definitely will be back again. Thank you!

Martha A.

Yelp
We went way out of the way to visit this place because we wanted to "go where the locals go". Now I wish I was a local! Food: top notch. Atmosphere: comfy. Service: great. Had a great conversation with a family member of the owner for many years. The experience was perfect.

Rob S.

Yelp
The steak here is amazing! The staff does a good job with service. That atmosphere is rustic and feels like the roadhouse bar from the 80's movie.

Justin F.

Yelp
amazing food ! great service ! and if you haven't tried the red velvet cake or the New York cheesecake yall are missing out all of it was phenomenal! definitely recommend this restaurant! 5 s all the way across the board !

Dedra R.

Yelp
From the toilet being out front of the entrance way of the restaurant had me thinking it was part of the restaurant which it wasn't, that toilet out front was a symbol of what that place really was. Over priced and food needed to be flush. The steaks were cooked from a microwave and the rice was the only thing that was hot on the plate. The experience of walking in wasn't a welcome or pleasant one. Don't waste your time and those cowboy beans was as bad as the service that was served. NEVER COMING BACK. For the price we paid in this establishment was very nasty food. Should be no stars.

Yelp
The food was Great the service was great we enjoyed the atmosphere highly recommend xxxx

Yelp
Service: Great. We loved our server. She was very personable. She was literally wearing rose colored glasses! Food: Yummy. We split the prime rib. Cooked medium rare like we asked. Wine: Not much of a selection. We wanted Cabernet Sauvignon, and at first we were told they ran out, so my hubby picked the Merlot. She then told us that she found the last of the Cab and brought it to us. Pretty good. We loved it. Felt good inside. Definitely a cowboy/cowgirl vibe. I'd eat there again. I would describe the food as good comfort food.

Yelp
Decorations were tired but clean. The service was very friendly and enthusiastic, but slow. The food took a bit, was bland, and did not measure up to the price. We were bummed about that, had higher hopes. All fixable. We'll keep an ear open for changes. We prefer to support local businesses.

Yelp
Not much of a huge steak eater but I thought, what the heck and gave it a go. Absolutely fork tender! We went during the beginning of a Saturday service so it took a moment to get the food out, but the wait was well worth it! No issues there. The building itself is an easy miss on the way out to wherever you're going, in the inside is very dated but I'm not picky. Next time I come back I'm getting the ribs, partner got them and I was instantly jealous.
google avatar

Joan W.

Yelp
Amazing service from the "The Sheriff ". The full rack of ribs was unbelievable, " the best ribs ever " tasty, meaty, huge plate of ribs!! The atmosphere was truly southwest, our sons loved it!

Dave W.

Yelp
A fun saloon/steakhouse with good food and a terrific waitress. It's a bit out of the way but worth the drive.
google avatar

FloAnn Y.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. From the outside it has a definite dive bar field, but it's actually a great steakhouse!! Who knew?!? The service is personable and friendly - I am super happy I decided to check it out.

Carol M.

Yelp
So fun and delicious! A blast from the past in all the right ways! The food was like real good home cooking. The decor is seventies and the people are without pretense!

Yelp
I really wish I could give 3.5 stars. So let me first start that this is a steak place so when my girlfriend ordered chicken Alfredo I was already confused. But I'll roll with it. When we got it the noodles were not really alfredo (when I think of white sauce with cheese, like you'd see at Olive Garden or some Italian joint.) this was more butter and oil, noodles and chicken. So I wasn't impressed, defiantly not something she's getting again. I got the tenderfoot which is cubed steak on a bread thing (see picture). The meat was ok, the bread was well, the bite you see missing is all that was eaten. Again this is a steak place. I got their prime rib and I thought it was good, not the best but not bad. The slices we got (3 of us at the table) had a high fat content so that took away from eatable meat. Mix a little sour cream and horse radish and I'm happy.

Patrick L.

Yelp
Good local steak place with a great history and old west look. Solid bar. Very nice wait staff. Can get a bit backed-up when it's busy.

Yelp
Amazing experience here for our anniversary. The food was amazing and cooked perfectly. And we can't say enough about the top notch service. We felt so welcome ! We loved the comfortable atmosphere especially the old country music they played. We also appreciated that the place was very clean. Kudos to the hostess/manager? Cindy who has impeccable taste in cowboy boots and was so sweet and friendly. Alexis our server who was super attentive and kept the bread basket full. Will definitely return for some prime rib!
google avatar

Ben P.

Yelp
A little out of the way, but an authentic true western cowboy experience. Very cozy atmosphere. Good food and great service. A lot of variety on the menu. Chicken, beef, pasta, etc. Will definitely go back the next time I am passing through between Bisbee & Sierra Vista.
google avatar

Walt C.

Yelp
Surprisingly good place, not much to look at from the outside, but quite cozy inside. Friendly and attentive staff. Stick to the meats (prime rib and rack of ribs). Will definitely come back again!
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
Wow! The rudeness of the older lady waitress at the bar. She asked if we had reservations and I said I did not know we needed it. She said that it may be ok to stay. Then when ordering we asked her about the prime rib and she said maybe and maybe not because we are busy. She continued to act like she was so over whelmed and we were bothering her. If they are truly that busy then that speak volume of the management of the restaurant especially if they are preparing my food. This happened Sunday, 27 February 2022 at 5:30pm. I give their staff 1 star for their stellar lack of performance and rudeness.
google avatar

Edward B.

Yelp
Good food, excellent Prime rib. You won't be disappointed... especially if you like beef.

Joan D.

Yelp
Found this on yelp and what a surprise! Ordered steak, prime rib and they came out perfect. Super friendly staff and our waiter Jonathan Bliss was the best!! Definitely check this place out you will not be disappointed.

Renee R.

Yelp
My neighbor and I decided to take ourselves out for dinner. We live in Naco and decided to hit the Brite Spot for steaks. We weren't disappointed. Came with salad and baked potato, I had the New York strip, and he had the sirloin. Great service, and friendly people there too, enjoying the bar. Hadn't been there in years and we will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Charles R.

Yelp
First a guy across us had hair in his soup, next my son has a hair in his fry's...needless to say the place and prices where great up until I almost wanted to vomit. Thumbs down

Marisa M.

Yelp
Lone little spot in the middle of nowhere, but, if you're traveling in the area, definitely worth stopping. Went for my boyfriend's birthday. He wanted real and ribs. They didn't have a combo but the waitress was super accommodating. They have a rib dinner but she added a half rack of ribs only to our bill along with our steaks ( for a very reasonable charge). He had the rib-eye, which he raved about, I had the filet ( which was cooked perfectly but seemed to be missing a little seasoning). The ribs were AMAZING. Wait staff was great ( I'm sorry I can't remember our waitress's name because I would give her a shout out). Will definitely come here again if we are in the area
google avatar

Yelp
This is a place for an excellent meal. The ribs are fantastic! They really are delicious. Try the potato wedges with a dipping cheese sauce. All the employees are super friendly and attentive. Give it a try.
google avatar

Hugo G.

Yelp
Great food. The ribs literally fell off the bone. The steak was cooked just how I asked. Cindy was a great waitress. Very kind and very helpful. This was our first time here and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Finally tried the Brite Spot on Hwy 92 To anyone skeptical, you won't be disappointed! Not only is the food outstanding but the Sevice is top notch. Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable. She was a true pleasure! I really recommend this establishment to enjoy a nice evening out
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
This place was surprisingly really good. The atmosphere inside and the fact that it was in the middle of nowhere threw me off, but the ribs were excellent. The ribs fell of the bone and the seasoning was perfect. The burger and steak was good, but nothing spectacular. The service was a little slow, but the waitresses were nice. I would 100% go back for the ribs.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
Had a very nice time here last night. We were celebrating my uncles birthday. They accommodated all 9 of us in a timely manner. The food was delicious. Would recommend

Yelp
Great food and great service! Our server Ashley was fantastic! All 3 of the ladies working were very busy and you could tell all of them were working very hard. Ashley got my daughters food out quickly to get her eating and keep her occupied, for which I am very grateful! I live in California and come to visit my parents that live in Bisbee a few times a year. The Bright Spot is a place I ALWAYS look forward to going. Thank you again,Ashley, for the exceptional service, even when busy with a 12 top!

Yelp
Went for dinner Friday night with my family and parents. It was fantastic! The bread was warm and soft. I almost wanted to the entire loaf. My husband ordered the ribs. Delicious! My mother and I got the fried shrimp. They were very good. We all enjoyed our salads. They were fresh and the salad dressing (honey mustard and ranch) tasted homemade. My dad ordered the homemade vegetable soup with a tomato base. He loved it and wanted all of us to taste it. We enjoyed our dinner and the service we received. The atmosphere is old Wild West. It was so cool to see old pictures of Bisbee, school children and the mine. I love a place with history. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been bugging my friends to check out the Bright Spot since it reopened in August. Having a birthday & getting to pick where I get to eat gave me the chance & I wasn't disappointed. The bonus was arriving on a Sunday to a 10% discount special for senior citizens, which applied to a couple of us. Mary, the Manager, was outstanding as our server. To start, the three drinkers in our party of five shared a pitcher of blood orange margarita on the rocks. The bartender didn't skimp on the alcohol, yet it wasn't overwhelming. We Drinking Three decided that we WILL be returning for drinks if nothing else. Honestly one of the best I've ever enjoyed as a 'rita connoisseur. For appetizers we ordered the fried mushrooms & Cactus Cutters, which were amazing! The deep fried tender beef with the cheese & green chilies seemed as though it were melting in my mouth. My mom used the accompanying pico on her baked potato. The salads & bread were fresh. Found it refreshing to have mushrooms on top of the salad, instead of the usual red onion ring. My brother had the half rack of ribs. Mary's promise that the ribs were outstanding was true. The meat easily pulled off the rib. My friend had the prime rib, and I, the New York Strip. It seems I never get a steak cooked properly, but the chef got the Strip just right. My parents chose the Special of salmon & fried butterfly shrimp. The salmon was cooked perfectly & the shrimp were huge. Very tasty meal on all levels. Mary overheard it was my birthday & surprised me with a slice of chocolate cake. Very rich, but a truly sweet treat, pun intended. If you plan on visting anywhere in Southern Arizona you need to check out the Bright Spot. This dinner experience was well worth the drive.

Yelp
I have visited the Bright Spot twice since the reopening and have had poor experiences on both visits. The place is devoid of any organization or management, the prices are extremely high, and the food is bland and not very high quality. I won't even touch on the service, which was probably some of the poorest I have ever had (on both occasions). My first experience was dinner. I waited a very long time while the 10 waitress ran around acting like they had no clue what was going on. The overstaffed bar was moving so slow I waited 25 minutes for a bottle of beer. I saw what appeared to be at least 3 bartenders all of whom were doing nothing but gossiping. Food was decent but not great for the price or quality. Second trip was breakfast. Again, over staffed the wait staff was arguing over who got our table (probably 6 wait staff and 2 tables dining) and finally after it was decided we had 2 different people still arguing over who got to serve us. The biscuits and gravy was gross. Not an ounce of sausage to be seen in the sausage gravy and it tasted like flour. The biscuits were okay. I've made better from a packet and a can of biscuits really. The place inside is beautiful. Its clean, classy and appears to have its stuff together. However you quickly see that is not what's really going on there. Prices are to high for the level of service and quality and overall I would not return.

Yelp
We had no reservations on Fathers Day but took a chance anyway. So glad we did. They were very busy but accomodated us. We sat in the bar where the service was excellent. Hubby had a steak..delicious! I had the ribs. Oh my gosh. Tender and delicious. Very nice evening, great service and food. Will be returning.
google avatar

Cyndi M.

Yelp
Went with a friend to dinner & it was delicious!! The ribs fell off the bone! YUM!! I haven't had ribs like that for a long while in SV!! Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner!! Overall great experience! I will come again!!

Desiree H.

Yelp
So much selection and flavor! We tried three different cuts of steak and each one was delicious! Side dishes are tasty too. Highly suggest eating at this place.

Chris D.

Yelp
No better place for excellent food and the nicest friendliest people around! Cindy is the manager and a real hardworking Brite spot herself. Angel is simply an angel as our server . When my family from Phx area comes to town first place we head is to the Brite Spot for some of the best food around ! KUDOS to the chef

Brian E.

Yelp
Great food at reasonable prices and the service was fantastic - can't wait to go back

Happy D.

Yelp
My daughter and husband treated me to a night out for my birthday. What a surprise that I could enjoy terrific food (mine, prime rib, hers, filet mignon, and his, "The Marshal.) I was too busy dancing to notice what was on his plate, I'm sorry to say, I only know he loved it. The music and the dancing is what made it over the top for me, because it's the first place I've been able to go and enjoy myself in a truly friendly atmosphere with dancing and nothing to spoil the fun! It was more like a party with friends that actually like each other. Service was great, too, without being obtrusive, just there filling water glasses and the like. I hope to go back again. I didn't now I had it in me to have so much fun!

Yelp
I came in from L.A. to visit my best friend who lives out in this area, He told me about this new little steak place that opened up recently that we should try... I work in the restaurant industry and have for MANY years and honestly dont like to go out for steak cause I can do it better at home! NOT HERE!!! This was in my Top 3 best steaks i've ever had, cooked the way I asked and just plain AMAZING all around! Don't be fooled by the look... BEST STEAK AROUND! Prices dont hurt either!

Terry M.

Yelp
Several years back a fellow Warrant Officer and I decided to hike Corona National Forrest. When we were about halfway to the top of the mountain, we were attacked by killer bees. The swarm sounded like a small train coming at us. The cloud of bees was like the size of a canopy on a large tree. We ran as fast as we could up the mountain with adrenaline pushing us hard. At around 8,500 feet we finally could not go any further. We stopped and assessed the damage. My fellow Warrant Officer has at least 35 bee stings, and I had approximately 20. We decided to finish our hike and go down a canyon if we saw bees coming down. We didn't, and we were very hungry so we decided to stop at the Bright Spot on the way back to Fort Huachuca. I don't know if it was because of our experience on the mountain, but the steak I ordered was the best I had ever had. We also ordered several shots of whiskey to kill the pain of the bee stings, which may have contributed to how good the steak was. The service was also fantastic. I will never forget the Bright Spot. I hope to come back for a visit someday.

Yelp
I usually don't write reviews, actually this is my first one. When we first walked in the place seems nice , spacious but no TVs. I'm writing this review in real time .The server was super nice, no beer on tap, but decent selection in bottles though. Do not get the jalapeno poppers...I say again say away from jalapeno poppers, they tasted like they were freezer burnt. I had the new York strip MR, and my girl had the baby back ribs, the steak was good and the ribs fahgettaboudit! They fell off the bone, some of the best ribs we've ever had. My girl said they were perfectly cooked. I had potatoes wedges and the beans which were OK...my girl didn't like the beans, she thought they were watery, not much flavor. The is a little high. Over all good service.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
A friend and I decided to try the Brite Spot Wednesday night for dinner. Very nice atmosphere. Seated right away, we were ready for a lovely dinner. That's where it all went south. The food was bland and terribly overpriced!! The server was polite but, very forgetful. Our salads arrived a half an hour after we had ordered and five minutes before our entrees. There was clearly no organization between the staff members. A bit more training may be in order for the staff. I see great potential but, it needs some fine tuning.

Yelp
Sharon and the ladies from Lone star which was next to Ricardos have moved down the road to the The Bright Spot. They have reopened this old landmark and brought their delicious home style food for breakfast and lunch. I can't speak for the dinner fare yet, but breakfast and lunch is as good as its always been. Its nice to see familiar faces, and even the new wait staff is friendly and attentive. There is a full bat that opens at 10 and a sporting event on the tv. Off to a great start!!

Ron R.

Yelp
I must say that it turned out so much better than we thought. People really friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Prices were fair. Would go again when we come down this way. Keep up the good work.
