The Best Candles for Dinner Party Tablescapes: Modern Taper Candles | Eater

"Established in 2015 in London by Jackie Piper and Victoria Whitbread as an eco-minded homewares and gifts brand, the founders originally bought tapers from a German supplier but moved to commissioning their own when supply proved unreliable. Their hand-poured, artisan-finished tapers are made in Indonesia and feature distinctive stripes inspired by historical standardized color indexes revived from the British Colour Council, which helped the products become favorites in museum shops and homeware boutiques. The brand experienced a pandemic-era sales bump and deliberately 'sexed up' taper design to stand out amid a growing wave of playful and DIY candle offerings." - Rebecca Flint Marx
