Google
Everything was fantastic. Amazing selection of oysters. Serves expertly, as you can see. The sangria was tasty and we had a nice little view of the ocean from the end of the bar. I didn't catch the bartenders names but both of them were awesome. It was the first day on the job for one of them and she was very sweet, nice and fun. The gentleman working the bar was also very nice and professional. 10/10 would recommend. Best oysters around.

Stopped here for lunch after doing the Marginal Way walk and had one of the best lobster rolls ever! Fairly priced, great service, delicious food. Highly recommend!

Google
Absolutely loved this spot! Incredible lobster rolls, fresh oysters, and cozy vibes all around. The outdoor setup is charming, and the seafood soup really hit the spot on a cold day. Friendly service and a parking lot close by (a bit pricey, but super handy). Would definitely come back!

Jon

Google
A very good selection of raw oysters at a fair price, in a nice setting off the street - bustling, but sufficiently far away from foot and vehicle traffic. Good quality haddock, albeit a small fillet for the price. Lobster roll was a hair under seasoned, but nice quality, carefully dressed, and generously portioned. Decent drink menu. Would go again.

Google
Great lobster roll. Nice beer selection. Cool staff. Our waiter was wearing a Bayern jersey and was really friendly and attentive. Vibe was on point. We heard other Latinos at the bar and felt at home immediately. The toasted bun held the lobster rolls perfectly and the meat chunks were nice and big. I really appreciated the flowers on all the tables along with our own pitch of water!

Gabe Loftin

Google
We overheard a group saying this was the best lobster roll in town so we made a point to try it for lunch. The service was remarkable and that lobster roll was amazing. We will definitely come back next time we visit and tell all of our friends about this place.

Anne Clemons

Google
Great oyster and beer selection! Outdoor seating area is small and can feel a little cramped at peak times but it’s nothing if you’re already amidst the chaos of downtown. Had the tuna tartare and grapefruit avocado salad which were fine but nothing to write home about. Wish I had tried to fish sandwich that everyone raved about!

Jackie Levine

Google
The mussels are fantastic and the portion is large too. I really enjoyed the lobster roll. Everyone loved their meals and the atmosphere. Great outdoor seating.

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Delicious food, right near the water. All of the staff was super friendly and made sure everything was great! We ate for $36. (Before tip) for two of us it was a steal would recommend

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick beer at the super cute outdoor bar and patio seating. You see the host and sign from the street but the actual bar is down a little alleyway. Bartender was an absolute blast, we only stayed for one drink but we all laughed and told stories. Oysters looked so delicious, we will have to try them the next time we are in town.

June M.

Yelp
Cute outdoor restaurant that serve seafood. I like that you don't have to make reservations and I always able to get a table here. The servers here are super nice too. She checked up on us throughout the meal to make sure that we are well taken care of. Food here is not the best I have tried in the area, and they don't have the view of the streets or ocean. However I will still come back

Cristina R.

Yelp
Solid lunch spot with outdoor seating in the heart of Ogunquit! Our group of 6 just had to wait a few minutes for a table after they opened at 11:30am. We started with the mussels to share, which were absolutely delicious in a garlicky , buttery white wine sauce. It's a great portion of mussels along with 2 hunks of bread (ask for more - trust me). For my meal, I got the crab melt, which I wouldn't get again. I didn't realize that despite being a melt, the crab salad inside would be cold. It was a bit odd to have warm, melted cheese and toasted bread with mayo-y, cold crab salad. I ended up spooning the extra broth from the mussels onto the crab to heat it up a bit. The Old Bay fries it came with were decent, and were also tasty with the mussel broth. Overall, the mussels saved the day for me here. My friends really enjoyed their mains: hot lobster rolls & fish tacos. This place is definitely worth a try!

Lauren L.

Yelp
Came here for some drinks and apps before dinner. Outdoor seating and multiple choices of seafood and drinks. Drinks are pretty reasonable on their prices. Any of the seafood item will depend on the market price or by the piece. Many people come here for the variations of oysters. The white sangria pitcher was good but pretty watered down. It could basically fill 3 cups.

Mike G.

Yelp
Ive enjoyed this magical spot for 4 years now. I have yet to want anyone else's lobster roll when I'm in Maine. The service is alway great and the setting under the shady tree and umbrellas adds to this fresh air dining oasis. If you're in Ogunquit, you need to try this place.

Lah L.

Yelp
Quick stop nice outdoor seating. Oysters were extremely fresh that pink sauce I can't remember the name of it but it's a sauce made in house very mild. Pairs well with the horseradish and lemon. service was quick it was hot outdoors but the bathroom was bumping AC like you've transported to the Antarctica. Definitely recommend everything is raw. I typically like my oysters cooked but all the components really works well together.

Sky J.

Yelp
The best fish and chips I have ever had! Everything there is so amazing! The bang bang shrimp is to die for! All gluten free too it's amazing!

Jenna B.

Yelp
Brix Brine is a quaint spot right in the heart of Ogunquit. I ordered the lobster roll and a few oysters to make the most of my seafood experience in Maine. Everything was delicious. The lobster roll was large and could easily be split! The service was rather scattered, and could use some improvement and enthusiasm.

Stefan C.

Yelp
Stepping out of the CT cocktail scene for a few days to enjoy summertime in Maine. My first stop was Brix + Brine. True to its brand, it is al fresco dining in the heart of Ogunquit, Maine. Known for offering the largest selection of raw bar items around, this spot slings superb cocktails and delivers the freshest seafood. I appreciated that before making my cocktail, the bartender asked if I preferred it shaken or stirred. She then prepared it and poured it into an elegant and thin V-shaped glass. The martini was strong, refreshing, and filled to the brim. Something just hits different enjoying a cocktail with the ocean only steps away. The olives were quite firm and salty but ultimately left me feeling undecided about whether I enjoyed them with my drink or not. The oysters and tuna from the raw bar were succulent and delicate. The culmination of my meal was a cold lobster roll that was packed with meat and flavor. Not to be overlooked, this eatery provides a classic New England experience.

Juney K.

Yelp
Best raw oyster I have ever had, so fresh and tasty. Their chicken wing is also sooo good, not too salty, not greasy at all, just perfect! Their dirty martini is phenomenal. Staff is so welcoming and extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is the perfect summer spot. I am so glad I found this place on my vacation!

Graham T.

Yelp
What's happened here at this restaurant? Using frozen fish for my sandwich, which was not very good on the RAcHEL sandwich. Tiny portion and was 14.95come on guys. And the bathrooms directly where food preparation taking place with no exhaust fans in the bathrooms is a code violation in ANY state. Ice machine literally outside the toilets UGHHHH. Waste paper bins over flowing. Water leaking from the rook, consequentially lifting up the paint??? what the heck. Service so slow and inattentive. Beer was ok. Allagash. Place looking tired and in need of some attention. A generous 2 stars. So disappointing as we went there last year and it was great FRESH FISH Violations 2022 were Hand cleanser not available at hand wash sink or lavatory. Yelp
Passed by this many times while walking in downtown Ogunquit and thought this would be a perfect spot for a pre dinner cocktail and some light bites. Staff here was so friendly and explained the menu very well to us. We ordered some sangria, oysters and shrimp cocktail. The oysters were the best I've ever had. We went with half a dozen but should have gotten the full dozen! They were fresh and the mignonette sauce was perfect. They only have outdoor seating so be mindful of that as it does get chilly and they do have some heaters

Chelsey T.

Yelp
Always have a good experience here. The food is so fresh. Drinks are great too. They even had blankets on a chilly evening for us! Can't wait to go back next summer.

Scott B.

Yelp
Great food and great ambience. Very friendly service. We always try to come when we are in town. Very accommodating to our group of 7.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Got here around 5:15pm on a Friday and was seated right away as a party of 2. Kinda small outside dining area but nice vibes all around. Shaded w trees and not too loud. FOOD: The oysters did not disappoint. And the Lobster Roll was great. Our server recommended to make it creamy instead of with hot butter. I got mixed greens while my friend got fries. And the lobster cocktail came pre-cut so easy for us to eat, other than the head. Regardless, the head barely had meat. Surprisingly we still finished all of it! It was a nice last minute decision to come here but the food was still great!

Erin S.

Yelp
Great lunch spot. Had the most amazing Caesar salad with grilled shrimp! Outdoor seating is perfect for Ogunquit!!

Matthew P.

Yelp
Had a disappointing experience. Starting with the good, the oysters were outstanding. The minionette was great and the oysters were ice cold. Unfortunately, we ordered the grapefruit and avocado salad with a side of the hanger steak. When the hanger steak arrived, it was very well done and was hard to swallow. I politely brought it to the servers attention and she said she would speak to the chef to see if it could be cooked medium rare. The atrocity that was returned would have inspired Prince to write a song called "Purple Vein," as it was really quite rare. Felt like a big ol' $15 purple middle finger staring me in the face. :( Wings were also a bit dry.

Debbie M.

Yelp
Delicious haddock and lobster rolls. Excellent service. Our waitress was Molly, first class. Highly recommend.

Barbara Z.

Yelp
This is my favorite little spot in Ogunquit. Something about the atmosphere is so inviting, and the food is always great.

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Holy cats! What an amazing gem hidden off of Shore Rd. We stopped in for lunch. The food was outstanding! Best mussels in town, I had the melted crab sandwich and my wife had the Italian Chop salad. Crazy good! Reasonably priced and service was superber! We will highly recoomend this establishment for sure!

Logan S.

Yelp
Oh, where do I even start? I arrived very early in the night making sure nobody caught me walking into this delicious restaurant. Then the waiter sat down in a very bougie seat. The waiter came to my table and asked me to order a drink. I said yes and I ordered a root beer. Let me add that. I also asked for a purple fan, but they didn't have itthen I ordered a whole bird and that bird not discipline. It was delicious. Delicious delicious delicious five stars.

Cathy S.

Yelp
The seafood chowder was delicious. So good, I may try to duplicate it at home! Oysters were sweet and fresh. Sandwiches we had were both very good Fries made fresh and crispy Hostess and server were both friendly and thoughtful. We will be back!

Mercedes C.

Yelp
It might not be the dramatic cliffs of Ogunquit where the oysters practically leap from the ocean onto the tray, but Brix+Brine has a huge amount to offer when it comes to seafood. This is inconspicuously located on Shore Rd in Ogunquit and you'd never notice it unless you knew exactly where to look because it's almost tucked away next to one of those T-shirts souvenir shops. Also, don't see this place as an outdated seafood shack just because it's outdoors and feet away from the ocean- because it's anything but. Sitting under their humongous patio umbrella was refreshing after spending a couple of hours at the beach. Our shared smallish bites were very tasty and the music playlist added a Summer Beach touch during our early Monday afternoon lunch. A mix of Mere Points and Damariscotta raw oysters were a terrific starter. I skipped their Seafood Chowder since it's prepped with bacon- but hubs enjoyed it with large chunks of Lobster, Clams, etc. Not only do these folks know their food, but they also know their cocktails backwards, forwards and sideways because my 'Bog 2.0' with an orchid in a frozen ice sphere, was the bomb. Besides it being pretty to look at, that sucka was strong as well as hubs' 'Yasssssss' cocktail. The Ricotta+Sea Salt+Olive O. was simple but done so rich- we actually wanted more of it. I have to admit, my Crispy Cauliflower with honey, a creamy-based tangy cheese (don't know what it was) and an unholy dose of za'tar- was absolutely terrific, too. Everything we had was so flavorful- even that lonesome Jumbo ass $5 shrimp that we had to taste for the hell of it. The end result was great. Brix+Brine definitely made the list for us to return next time we're in town. Food in my opinion, was very good- but so was the super layback atmosphere, friendly service, wine/mocktail/cocktail list and overall experience.

Lauren D.

Yelp
Maybe more like 3.5 stars but didn't try enough to sway me down. Drinks are great here- I had a hard time finding a decent cocktail on our trip and the YAAASSSS martini is fabulous! I had 3 and wanted more, if it wasn't for our son being cranky we would've stayed for another. The oysters are on the smaller side, having had some larger ones at a restaurant nearby, but still tasty! Like that they have an assortment. Skip the ceviche- it lacked seasoning/flavor and only had a couple shrimp. It was more salsa then ceviche. The kids hotdog is huge and worth it! Having got a few kids meals that weekend for my son this one we got 2 meals out of and he loved it. The mussels are soooo good, we could've ordered another but again cue cranky 1 year old. Our waiter was the bartender I believe and he was great. Food service was slightly slow but they were busy. Ambience is cute- it's in a little back corner with a big umbrella under a tree with string lights. The ceviche has me at a 3 but my delicious cocktails and mussels at a 4. Definitely worth the try!

Firefly B.

Yelp
Brix & Brine, I am writing this review out of exasperation, seated in a restaurant with a lesser lobster roll, on Cape Cod. On Cape Cod for gods sake where their lobster rolls should at least be decent. Who are these people. I now feel prepared to call it: you have the best lobster roll in New England. And the nice outdoor tables and fun staff. Oh Brixy, I miss you.

Dody E.

Yelp
Best restaurant at Ogonquit. Prices are a bit steep but you get some seriously high quality food and atmosphere.

Nicole O.

Yelp
This place was great! The staff is friendly and helpful. The patio is cute and inviting. They welcomed us with our toddler and dog. Note: no high chairs, just booster seats. Food is great and menu makes you want to come back to try more. To start we had half a dozen oysters, the ricotta appetizer (huge portion), and a cup of clam chowder for the baby which my husband couldn't stop eating. My husband gulled down a generous pour of the cava and I enjoyed a glass of Pinot gris - that the bartender poured me a sample of when I asked about the flavor profile. For dinner, I had the Baja salad with grilled chicken. Again generous portions, fresh and delicious ingredients, light and refreshing dressing (my toddler couldn't stop eating MY SALAD lol). I would skip the chicken next time, the salad doesn't need it. My husband got the tuna special and cleaned his plate in record time.

Jocelyne T.

Yelp
Brix+ Brine for the win! This place as great atmosphere. Everyone just seems to be in an amazing food, a greg view to the ocean by the bar seats and fantastic food. I had a lobster roll with melted butter, which was very fairly priced and AMAZING. The spicy shrimp tempura? An appetizer you should definitely try. Ogunquit is one of my favorite towns in Maine and Brix and Brine definitely aligns to the vibe of this happy place! The service was top notch, our waitress was awesome. 100% recommend to try this place if you are in Ogunquit.

Mike A.

Yelp
Despite living up here during the summer months, we often forget about this place, which was a big mistake. They have plenty of food options, which we like from haddock sandwich to lobster rolls. The service was great and our server had a great sense of humor! It is nice to eat outside, but not in the open right on route one. The prices are some of the most reasonable in Ogunquit as well!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Food just isn't delicious. Presentation and quality are lacking. Limited options and everything was bland.

Larry S.

Yelp
What do you do after walking the Marginal Way, you stop here and have a great lunch! (note - we walked by during dinner time and they were packed!). I love to have Lobster roll with butter ( not mayo - sorry traditionalists). I love the flavor of the Lobster meat with a bit of lemon and sweet butter - this was perfect. Ordered a side salad, stead of fries, and it was awesome!. The Caeser dressing was a bit "light" for my taste but the chicken was moist and tasty - some many places over cook this add-on. A local beer, a friendly service team. Look forward to going back!

John F.

Yelp
Oysters were very good as was the lobster roll. Service was great. Outdoor seating and a bit warm but it's summer. Good spot

Bob A.

Yelp
Great seasonal bar/restaurant. Grab a spot at the bar and enjoy. Menu has a great assortment of neat offerings.

Christine B.

Yelp
Fabulous oyster bar. All of the fish tasted so fresh like it was caught that morning. Beautiful fry on the fish and chips, you can tell the fryer oil is super clean. The bartender made me a delicious mocktail and my husband loved the alcoholic drinks. Oysters beautifully shucked. Cute outdoor seating, will definitely be back!

Judy P.

Yelp
Fresh, fresh, fresh! Oysters, salad, salmon, tuna poke... all great. Wonderful drinks as well. This was our best find for restaurants in Ogunquit.

Olivia J.

Yelp
Came here with my dad and aunt while on vacation and can't really complain! The atmosphere on the patio was really nice and the service was pretty good. My dad got the NE clam chowder, which he thought was pretty good. We both agreed there was sort of a sour taste to it, not that it went bad, but some ingredient made it taste a little sour which was sort of strange. I got the burger with old bay seasoned fries. I loved my meal - the burger was very juicy and the white cheddar cheese was a great touch. My aunt got the Classic Wedge salad which she was very happy with. The salad was pretty drenched in blue cheese dressing, so I'd probably tell them to go light on the dressing. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience at this restaurant and would go back.

Kristie L.

Yelp
Worth the wait! Small place with outdoor seating. I could have eaten here every day I was on vacation! The service was wonderful and the food was also 5 stars! Lobster roll was delicious, had it with butter and it was just the right amount of butter to lobster ratio. Not swimming in a soggy buttery roll. My mom and sister had a haddock sandwich with Swiss cheese and coleslaw and said it was outstanding and would absolutely order it again. The clam chowder was also delicious, not heavy at all. A light New England style that was very tasty. If In town for visit this place should be on your must try list!!!! I will definitely be back and if I was a local I would be there daily!

Susan C.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch based on Yelp ratings. Outdoor seating only which was fine because the day was cool temps. Setting is kind of awkward, a patio behind another building. Enjoyed the Haddock Rachael. Fish was crisp and slaw/dressing/cheese toppings worked well together. Haddock and Chips were underwhelming. Fish was flavorless and fries were highly seasoned. Wedge salad was fine. Lobster roll was delicious. Tender and succulent with the seasoned fries as a side. Overall a good lunch. Would try a different place on our next outing.

Nikelle H.

Yelp
Nice outdoor patio w/ heaters. Tasty local oyster selection; I recommend the Mere Point if in season. Kind staff! They're located just off a main walkway.

H. D.

Yelp
Melisha! Best service ever! She was on her game tonight with multiple tables she made us feel as if we were her only one!!! She had excellent suggestions with the menu and was very helpful! Have been to Ogunquit several times but first time here, big mistake! We will be back thanks to her!!! Oysters were delish and try the Lobster roll!!!!

Jonathan E.

Yelp
Been coming for years for oysters. Even better they have a dedicated frier, and almost all items can be prepared gluten free.

Hart W.

Yelp
Everyone loved our time here. Staff was super friendly. Had a party of six around 12:30 and were seated around 1:15. Oysters were great. We had about 3 dozen and they were shucked quickly and served very cold. Tasted fresh. My girlfriend and her mom got the tortilla salad and really enjoyed it. Drinks are offered by the pitcher and came out quick and everyone loved them. The beach access walk down area is right around the corner and it's a very convenient spot to settle into and grab a cocktail or glass of wine and a quick bite.

Laurie H.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite lobster roll of our northeast lobster roll tour so far. Came during the week after labor day for lunch. The hostess was super sweet in finding us a shady table that actually got a little breeze on the patio. The music was some awesome '60's and 70's stuff so I immediately like the vibe :-) The table ordered the cheese board appetizer, along with half a dozen oysters. It was all delicious - but we especially loved one of the condiments that came on the cheese board - a cherry pepper and honey condiment that was new to us and delicious. The board included 3 cheeses, 2 condiments (a jam in addition to the cherry pepper), pickled veggies, and toasted crostini. I also had a blueberry ale (okay...two) that was perfect on the hot day. Next we had lobster rolls...and there was a choice of tarragon mayo or just butter. We went with just butter. Y.U.M. As I stated in the beginning, this roll is the clear winner thus far. It was fresh and plentiful and flavorful and cooked (steamed?) just right. Our server was perfect - just involved enough, but not too much. Frankly, Brix + Brine was the only thing about Ogunquit that I loved. The trap of no parking anywhere + "oh - here's a lot where you can pay $20" on the TUESDAY AFTER LABOR DAY was ridiculous. So thank you, for giving us a happy memory of your town!

Frequent D.

Yelp
very impressed, lovely seating outside, friendly staff and the oysters we par excellence, as well as the cooking and cocktails...loved it, and hope to be back. Ambiance is 10 +++

Rich C.

Yelp
Have been a loyal and frequent diner for 7+ years until this past weekend when the owner was disrespectful towards and swore at my wife in front of my children over us trying to sit for dinner. The hostess gave us conflicting signals as to our ability to sit quickly, and we even offered to split up our party. At this point the owner came over and escalated matters with his behavior and words, including saying "don't ever come back." As an owner of a business, this extremely inappropriate behavior. We sadly won't ever come back.

Nisha P.

Yelp
Came here as a party of six on a Sunday and this place was poppin. It has such a great beach vibe outdoor seating type of ambiance. I got the 'not all who wander' tequila drink. And it was definitely a boozy drink with a nice kick (jalapeño infused). The location of the restaurant is right downtown. right after lunch we got coffee and ice cream which is located next-door. You can even walk to the beach from this location. Our table also started off with some fresh shrimp, absolutely delicious. I had the haddock sandwich with all the fixings, but I will say more sauce is definitely needed. My friend got a lobster roll and she was absolutely pleased. She ordered it with melted butter and when I tell you I barely got a picture before she finished it, that's how good it was! This place is great to fight the Sunday scaries with friends or just to have a great time at brunch.

Debra W.

Yelp
We went for the first time last night. The Crab & Avocado Salad was delisch, it could have used some Lemon zest or red onion in the salad but fresh & good. Great Old Bay Fries.

Robert Y.

Yelp
If you like eating in a driveway behind a house while you stare at some Rubbermaid garbage cans, this is the perfect place. Seriously, go to a real restaurant. The hostess was super nice, but our waitress provided the true definition of "indifferent service". Her greeting to us was something along the lines of "Do you know what you want to order?" As opposed to "My name is so-and-so, welcome to Brix & Brine, can I help you make a selection or do you have any questions about the menu?". Food was OK, not especially good but it didn't even matter. The setting and the service were too much of a turn-off for us.
