Impressed by how many kids were hanging in this brewery! 😄 Definitely a spot for the aging hipster crowd - I'm guilty. Enjoyed the rich Splash Zone stout, and despite an unappealing name the Alvarado St. nonalcoholic Froth Water was refreshing.

Google
Great neighborhood style brew pub with pizza joint next door. Seriously friendly and relaxed buzz with some great brews on tap. For me, it's a great place to unwind after work and enjoy a couple of pints on the way home. Hope they experiment further with the dark lagers and add a stout and a true ale... 😀 Oops!! Now with canned-to-order Porter!!

Google
Great local brewery, every beer I tried was clean and tasty. My fave was the barrel-aged Blind Spot black lager. I'm usually an ale guy, but seriously, these lagers are spectacular!

Google
A delightful new brewery to hang out at! The beer is delicious, the staff are friendly and fun to talk to, and best of all you can bring your dog! They love dogs here and will give them treats and pets. There's an outdoor patio area, and usually food! 10/10 great place to hang out.

Google
We had a great time at Brix Factory Brewing. Eric was the bartender and he was awesome with good vibes. We were looking to eat at June’s Pizza next door, but it was closed. Eric gave lots of great recs on where to eat instead. Thanks, Eric!!

Google
Nice brewery. Somewhat out in the sticks between Emeryville and West Oakland, but worth the trip. I tried the Blind corner (black lager) and the Wet bulb (double IPA) before settling on the Collapsing Waves (west coast IPA 6.3%). All were very good. Friendly too! (Menus subject to change!)

Google
Stumbled upon this brewery while driving around during a heat wave. When you can drive 20 mi and get 29° cooler temperature, Oakland was an invite destination. The crowd on the Saturday afternoon was especially friendly and they were holding a dog adoption for a local animal shelter. I was with a friend who is not a beer drinker but he enjoyed a nice hard seltzer. I enjoy the maltier spectrum of beers and the Cantankerous Youth was uniquely malty medium bodied with notable rye flavors and very drinkable. I will definitely come back here on another Saturday afternoon. They seem to have food trucks regularly and they have both seating in the warehouse and out on a deck.

Google
One the best brewery in Oakland, and that’s a high bar! We tried most of their beers and all were on point. Loved they had many low abv beers that were still interesting and flavorful. Ambiance was great also.

Yelp
Great beer, great spot. This is the perfect spot to come before/after Baller games Note as of early July, there's construction being done right by the brewery which makes it difficult to get to the accessible ramp (you have to go all the way around the entire warehouse to get to it).

Yelp
Great space & delightful folks behind the bar! Unpretentious and dog-friendly, too. I appreciate that they aren't one of those places with 28 goddamn IPAs and just a few offerings in other styles. They have, I believe, three IPAs. Plenty, right? I'll happily keep bringing friends here to support a welcome oasis of awesome in the West Oakland food (and beer) wasteland.

Yelp
WELCOME TO WEST OAKLAND BRIX! This new brewery on the west side opened up less than a month ago and has all the essentials for a spring/summer fun day in the sun. - Plenty of Outdoor seated on a patio - Really spacious indoor seating - Plenty of hours in direct and indirect sunlight - Great variety of beers on tap I tried the Siklon Stout which was very good. Served at a great temp and not too foamy. The servers are experienced, some coming over from the very popular Almanac brewing company so they are used to handling big groups and educating on what they have on tap. Prices were very reasonable. Come show the new business some love, I for sure will be venturing back this summer many times.

Yelp
I love beer so I had to come check Brix Factory Brewing out on their opening weekend. I met a friend, and we ended up staying for about two hours, because it has such a great vibe. Brix is in an old industrial building and has plenty of seating inside at a long bar or tables. There was also an outside area, but it was raining on Saturday when we were there. The whole space is open, and I love the fact that you can see the whole brewery operation in the back corner. Brix had eight beers on tap, and I was able to try all of them by getting two flights (four pours in each flight). Brix had the beers split up by "light," "hoppy," and "malty" characteristics. I'm usually a hoppy fan, but I really enjoyed "The Eye of Tazman," which is a light Pilsner and the "Lemon Theory," which is a light summer ale at only 3.8% ABV. You can drink it all day! All of the beertenders were friendly and Brix is even dog friendly! What's not to love about a place where your furry friend can come? I'm excited to see what new brews come out in the coming months.

Yelp
So excited to welcome a new brewery to Oakland! Stopped in here on a Wednesday night and got to try every beer on tap (it was just two people+two flights, not a weeknight bender or anything!). We found the beers to be light and easy drinking. I did have some standouts which included the Soft Shoulder (American amber) and an unreleased Pilsner the brewer let us try! Despite the construction out front, the space is great. Big open warehouse, murals covering the outdoor walls, and tons of outside seating. I'll definitely be back, eager to keep trying their beers!

Yelp
Great Food truck out front. Friendly service at the counter. Delicious beers. The ambiance was heavily dog and small humans. The parking was easy. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Went to the grand opening and tried 3 different beers. All 3 were excellent! My fave was the Eye of Tasman Pilsner. It's an easy-drinking 5.1% that I can drink all day! Next I had the Plunging Waves which is a nice perfectly balanced IPA at 6.3%. To wrap up the night I had a Redollent Haze pale ale. There was something different about this one that I can't put my finger on. You'll just have to try it! I would be remiss to not mention how close this brewery is to historic Raimondi Park where the Oakland Ballers will be playing. Definitely a good spot to go to before or after a game.

Yelp
Such nice folks! Not to mention the great beer! Roomy space, and there is usually a food truck. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great selection of beer but not too many, very focused. Service was very attentive and they spent time explaining each beer. We will definitely be coming back. My favorites were the Redolent haze pale and the Love waves IPA however the Pinch point lager was damn good.

Yelp
Great new brewery. The owners and brewer have roots here in The Bay. They know what they're doing. Swing by, grab a pint and have a seat. You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
We will be back. Great beer and a good vibe. Bring your own food or enjoy the food trucks.

Yelp
Great beers! I love seeing this new brewery opening in West Oakland! The vibe is relaxed, the beers are great, and the staff is friendly. I can't ask for more.

Yelp
What an all-around great spot. Was here this evening with my dog and a group of friends who brought their kids. The kids enjoyed the outdoor space and the tacos from the food truck. We enjoyed the beer and the great vibes. There's a huge variety of beer and a great sense of community. My favorite beer was the hazy IPA with rye but I loved every beer in my flight. Cool to see others bringing in their own food and playing board games. Something for everyone and really unique and incredible beers.

Yelp
Had their Hazy Pale and the Soft Shoulders Lager, both were delicious! Great tap room, and staff. I am kicking myself that I didn't get a crowler of their Soft Shoulders Lager cause I am still dreaming about it!

Yelp
Very nice place. Walking in the huge warehouse door made me smile. We headed over the day after they opened on the 23rd of February, 2024. Met one of the owners Eric, and enjoyed a chat on the build-out of Brix and the beer they serve. Started off with two pints of their Soft Shoulder. A really tasty brew. Brix is a welcome Pub to the neighborhood of West Oakland....Mandella Parkway near West Grand Blvd. My wife wearing a new black and white Brix Factory tank top today on a beautiful blue sky Sunday afternoon. A photo I took. Blue skies highs!!

Yelp
Good parking, great beer, great location and atmosphere and an amazingly friendly staff make this one of my new go to beer establishments. I am very glad they opened up in Oakland and I highly recommend you make a visit.

Yelp
At the soft opening and i think this place will kill it. Great video. Small but super selection. The lemon theory rocks for an after work but need to drive home selection.

William L.

Yelp
Love this place. The beers are great and the staff is always friendly but it's also fun to see them excited to share how they came together and how they chose their recipes.

Steve K.

Yelp
Still good, expanded beer menu since the opening. Redolent Haze is terrific!

Elgin B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and I can't wait for the them to expand the beer selection. Dog friendly which is great and parking seems to be good.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Thia brewery has a grear atmosphere - perfect for grabbing a beer alone, with friends, or even the entire family. The building and people have a unique vibe that makes you want to linger. The beer choices are fantastic and includes low alcohol level choices. Four people orderinng four different beers and we were all pleased.

Abdullah Y.

Yelp
The bartenders are lovely and the beer is dam good! There is nothing better than having good vibes and good beer.

Martha M.

Yelp
amazing beer spot in west oakland. they're in need of some extra love/business due to the road construction (which is absent on weekends) but there's still ample parking in their lot. super nice owners/staff, great tasting beer and more sun+ less wind/traffic/kids than breweries in Alameda!
