LA’s Booming Croissant Scene Has a New Pastry Powerhouse From Two Hotshot Bakers | Eater LA

"When the owners of Broadway Bakery decided to retire, proprietor Jim Osorno offered their well‑equipped, up‑to‑code storefront to de Lutz and Hernandez; the space required only a proofer and a sheeter to be ready, which made the lease affordable and serendipitous for the new owners." - Cathy Chaplin

Google
What an amazing bakery space! Loved the “no bigots” sign in the window and loved the decadent pecan roll even more. I will come back if I’m ever in Thermopolis again!

Google
Great bakery in town. Had a great sugar free flavored coffee. The cinnamon rolls were a great fit with the family. They were just out of the oven and so delicious 😋🤤

I’ve never left a review in my life. But the bagel I just had from this place changed my life. Best goddam bagel this side of the Mississippi. Fantastic employees asked if we wanted a “hit of the everything bagel” (smell them). If she’s asks, you say yes it was awesome. 6 stars will be back.

This cheese danish will change your life. My son enjoyed a cinnamon roll as big as his head! Don’t skip this place if you’re in Thermopolis.

Google
The Cinnamon Rolls were so delicious and ours had caramelized bottoms. Yum 😋 Service was outstanding. We left on the way to Texas with 2 large cups of coffee and baked goods. Thank you so much for everything y'all we had a very satisfying experience.

Great place for coffee and bakery. Very reasonable price!

Google
Very pleasant little bakery and their baked goods are excellent. We got a cinnamon roll and a pecan roll. Both were absolutely fantastic and not that expensive considering how large they are. Would absolutely go again, and likely will when we are in the area.

Google
I can eat a mediocre burger, but I can't eat pastry unless it's great. We got a cheese danish with blackberries, custard cream donut with blueberries, and a cinnamon roll the size of the rock formations on the way to Thermopolis. All amazing, plus they do coffee drinks and sandwiches.

Yelp
Service, pastries, and drinks were on point!! All baked in house. Serving breakfast/brunch/lunch. We had Cranberry/orange scones and Giant Cinnamon roll with hot tea & fresh brewed coffee where perfect morning snack before hitting the hot springs. For sandwiches to go for a hike.

Yelp
This place has amazing food. I had a blt on sourdough and my hubby had roast beef on sourdough. We bought a cruffin to take with us and a brownie and a yogurt parfait. Everything was fantastic. This little bakery is worth going far out of your way for but if going through Thermopolis it is just off the highway on Broadway. They would be over run with customers in a bigger city!!

Yelp
I like the space. It's large and open, but still has a "welcome in" vibe. The employees are friendly and helpful. The bakery selections are also good. Where this doesn't live up to the promise is with the bakery items themselves. I always hate to give an ordinary review to a place that has the potential to be extraordinary. The two items I ordered were some of the only things left in my late morning visit and maybe that was the reason it didn't quite work. The glazed donut had the oddest taste, was dry, and I couldn't decide if it was the glaze or the donut itself. The berry scone looked delicious. Now if it had only live up to that . . . I think it was a left over from a previous batch. In short, a couple of bites of both and I tossed the rest. Again, maybe early morning is the time to go here. In any case, I love atmosphere. I could easily see this being a hang-out spot for get togethers with friends, community events, and as a place to take a break from a busy day where you just need to get aways from the crazy.

Yelp
Broadway Bakery has a friendly staff and good service, which made for a pleasant visit. The ambiance is nice, with plenty of seating if you want to relax with a drink and breakfast. However, if you're looking for something savory, this probably isn't the place. The everything bagel and day-old croissant I tried were okay, but they only offer plain cream cheese, which was a bit disappointing. That said, if you've got a sweet tooth, you'll have plenty of options--almost everything here leans toward the sugary side. I'll probably give it another shot, but mostly to see if there are any new savory options.

Yelp
Amazing Bakery! We'll defiantly make it a point to stop here when through Thermopolis. We travel with a wheelchair and service dog. Everything was super easy to get around with the wheelchair.

Yelp
Best coffee in town. Got a pastry. It was pretty good, but I think they need to refine the pastry dough recipe just a little bit as it was a little heavier than I thought it should be, but I'll give them a solid B on pastries and a solid A on coffee.

Yelp
We were visiting relatives in Thermopolis when we stumbled upon this little gem! Great coffee, friendly service and delicious desserts. They sell local gifts, make beautiful breads and have a scrumptious looking lunch menu. The Broadway Bakery is exactly what Thermopolis needed! Give it a try, you won't t be disappointed!

Yelp
This place is amazing! Delicious, homemade breads, including a variety of sourdoughs, with no added sugars and all fresh ingredients. No additives! Plus the most delicious desserts, and all taste so naturally sweet and light, almost like the bakeries in Europe. Without all the heavy American extra sugar but SO good! They have a piano here for players. Nancy and Sarah were the bees knees.

Yelp
Great coffee, great baked goods (huge), well curated interior. Very comfortable place to hang out. The service is friendly. Well done!

Jessica M.

Yelp
We had bagels, a gigantic cinnamon roll, and caramel macchiatos. It was all delicious and great prices. Also friendly staff!

Yelp
We were visiting the area and stumbled upon this bakery. We were tempted by every delectable treat on display. I settled for the blackberry cheese danish and my hubby, the chocolate muffin. Both were delicious! We will be back!

Yelp
This was such an unexpected and welcomed find. I randomly selected an overnight stay in Thermopolis on my drive to Jackson Hole. Decided to hit downtown before hitting the road and lucked upon Broadway Bakery. First thought - THIS IS CUTE! It's well decorated, has a welcoming vibe and the music wasn't loud at all (nor should it be for a bakery). Then I perused the pastries. I was looking for a savory breakfast and didn't see such (wait it's exists, keep reading). As such, I ordered one of the many scones and cruffin to go with a small hot chocolate. Then... I saw the menu with breakfast sandwiches. Sooooooo glad I did. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on sourdough with pepper jack, egg, and bacon. I don't even know if bacon was on the sandwich because it was THE BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The sourdough is amazing. This made me double back for a a blueberry muffin. My only complaint, the muffin could use a smidge more sweetness. The jalapeño cheddar scone is so darn good. Oh and the hot chocolate was yum. The only thing I regret ... I live FAR away And this can't be my daily spot.

Yelp
Super cute bakery with delicious pastries and coffee drinks! It's super welcoming and has a fun casual vibe. Loved the cranberry orange scone, paired perfectly with a simple but well made latte. The summer hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Tues-Sun, unlike what Yelp and Google say.

Yelp
We stopped on our way out of town. Took a bit to get 2 coffees. I had no one ahead of me. The coffee was extremely hot! It took about 20 minutes before you could drink it. The cups were so full, when we hit a bump, the coffee spilled out either burning your hand &/or made a mess in the car. We all know that coffee that is too hot, has a distorted flavor so it was all that good. I would not come back if I am in the area again.

Kathy D.

Yelp
We went for coffee on a trip home from visiting family and the coffee was not very good. It was very disappointing for both my husband and myself.

John D.

Yelp
Not impressed. The baked goods didn't look appealing so we didn't get any. I had a latte and my wife had a mocha and both were very mediocre.

Michele B.

Yelp
Exceptional small town bakery! Offered a variety of atypical homemade pastries, had a very comfortable spacious area to relax and enjoy, and the bourbon flavored coffee was fabulous!
