This place is 2nd to none in menu, food quality and exellent service! The wait staff are amazing, I ordered local beer from their brewery Zazu Pina Colada Ale which was amazing! For food I had The Wagyu Burger and it tasted so delicious, to top it off for desert I tried the Crumbrulee which tasted so right and delicious! If you visit Columbia, MO Emma was our waitress which did an amazing job providing world class service! If you are in town, you will thank me later for visiting this place! During our 2nd visit to Columbia,MO last weekend once again tried their different menu items, Margarita Pizza, French Dip and Cheeseburger, all tasted exquisite!! As for the beer, we had Flor Blanca and 11 Point IPA which tasted amazing!! For breakfast next day we had Veggie Omlete, Green Chilli Burrito and a pancake, all of which tasted scrumptious!! Above all the best customer service snd servers!! Broadway Brewery is second to none!!!

I’m completing and documenting all “100 things to do in Columbia, MO” on my socials. (Check them out 😉) This was a lovely place to have lunch on a Friday afternoon with great service and a great atmosphere.

Google
I travel all over Missouri for work and this place has THE best chicken fried chicken I've ever had. The guy behind the brews also makes some of the best IPAs I've ever had. The double IPA is so smooth you can't even tell it's a double. I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a nice atmosphere and amazing food/drinks

From the moment you walk in, the space feels local, inviting, and full of creative energy. Whether you are just stopping in for a drink or sitting down for a full meal, it never disappoints. Their craft beers are always rotating and full of personality. I especially love how they balance bold, hoppy flavors with more subtle, seasonal brews. There is always something new to try, and the bartenders are happy to guide you if you are unsure. The staff is friendly, attentive, and down to earth. Even on busy nights, they take time to check in and make sure you are comfortable. The whole vibe feels like a community space where everyone is welcome, whether you are solo, third wheeling , or out with a group of friends .

Google
Was visiting from out of town for graduation; great waygu tips and great craft beer selection. The waygu entree was also delicious medium rare paired with good sides and the seasonal egg nog cocktail shouldn't be missed for dessert 🤣 rosemary wings also quite tasty

Google
Cozy atmosphere, excellent food, great beer. If you like real food, this is the place to go. My wife and I have eaten here many, many times over the years. Food is always excellent.

Google
Friendly staff and cute underground atmosphere. Love how the food is locally sourced. The food came out a little slow, but not terrible. The portions were smaller than anticipated but not a bad size. We left feeling full but not bloated. I want to come back and try the beers!

Google
Nice place. Menu is diverse for sure. And oh boy has it changed. Food was excellent. Abysmal service. I'd love to get into it, but not like it would do any good. There's always excuses, blah blah, an off day, it's busy (it was not) etc. Basically it shouldn't take 20 minutes to get a first ice tea, one would expect refills, and maybe the server actually paying attention. Of course, it's the trend of society, so I have unfortunately lowered my expectations, but this was inexcusable today. Again, total lesson in futility here, but it'd drive me crazy if I didn't put a tiny dent in your rating.

Yelp
I had an excellent meal here! My friend and I came in for dinner and wow this place gets busy. But everyone was super friendly and we were luckily able to find seats at the bar. They brew their own beer and it was all super tasty. The bartender was also nice enough to give me a small sample of two of the beers so I can decide which I wanted to have with my meal. My friend and I shared a pizza, a platter of wings, and a burnt ends plate. First of all- I was shocked how good the pizza was. Given I'm originally from NJ, I'm a bit of a pizza snob. But it was actually quite tasty. The platter of wings was solid. Not the biggest wings in the world, but the plate came with a bunch and the sauce was really good. And the burnt ends were phenomenal. Super tender, lots of flavor. The place itself was very lively- lots of happy, talking people getting ready for the night. Certainly a place to come to feel "energy". I was certainly overly stuffed after this meal- would come back again!

Yelp
One of the better spots in CoMo! Broadway Brewery has that cozy, underground "Cheers" vibe the second you walk down the steps into the basement-level space. The beers are top-notch -- from the easy-drinking Canned Good and Flor Blanca Mexican Lager to the rich Thresher Porter, they're clearly brewing with care and creativity. The food matches the quality of the beer. We've been here for brunch and highly recommend it -- everything from the eggs to the bread feels fresh and flavorful. I also love how many of their ingredients are sourced locally, which really adds to the quality and uniqueness of each dish. On this visit, we shared the fried cheese curds and the brisket grilled cheese! We also happened to stop by for a jazz night, which was such a fun surprise. The live music totally elevated the atmosphere and made the evening feel special. That said, there's still a bit more they could do with the space -- it would be great to see more regular live music or special events to bring even more life to the room. Prices are a bit higher than average for Columbia, but for the quality, atmosphere, and local charm, it's worth it. Great beer, great food, great people -- a solid 4 stars!

Yelp
The food was decent the atmosphere. It's a brewery. It looks clean. Now let's talk about service. It took over 30 minutes and they were not that crowded to serve a lousy hamburger and a French dip sandwich when I asked the hostess she gave some long-winded excuse. About how appetizers are easier to fix when I pointed out several people got their food. It was all cooked food in fact the table next to us that had a full meal of ribs and pizza came out before ours. they screwed up no problem we all do but excuses. Unacceptable. Now the server was apologetic and he wanted to comp the meal. I don't believe in that we still paid our cost of the food it shouldn't come out of his pocket because of the back room inefficiencies. It's gonna be a long trip. I can see it now.

Yelp
What a treat! From the entry down a flight of steps to a basement level venue that is cozy and has a Cheers like vibe. We tasted four of the beers, Canned Good a delightful light beer, followed by Flor Blanco Mexican Lager, Mayfly, ending with a Niro Thresher Porter. Am top of their class. We moved to the Fried Cheese Curds. They were lightly breaded, very nicely Fred, and stringy, but not fluid. Great beginner. Then we ended with the Stewart BLT pizza pie. The crust was strong and chewy, yet light and well seasoned. Foldable. The toppings were Kale (great for pizza, tomato aiola and the crown jewel was lardon bacon. One of the best pies I've eaten. Bridget was are server and she works with a light touch. There when needed, but not hovering or neglectful in any way. She made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Great experience. A solid "A". .

Yelp
I was out shopping up and down the Broadway drag in Columbia, when I was in need of an adult beverage. As I strolled along, I noticed, Broadway Brewery and thought a cold beer would satisfy my craving. As I sat at the bar, trying to make a decision, I noticed one named, Flor Blanca Mexican Lager. Since it was the First of November aka Day of the Dead. I thought a Mexican themed beer would be appropriate. The beer was, light bodied, clean and had a smooth taste. If I lived locally, I could easily see myself buying a Growler full of this tasty beer. I was there right at opening, so the bartender was a little disengaged. I was preoccupied with another coworker and men do some repairs in the brewery. I am not going to be a Karen, she gave me good service and recommended me the right beer for the day.

Yelp
Came "home" to our college town to watch our Tigers. Although I spent 5 years in Columbia, I'd never been to Broadway Brewery. My boyfriend had been here lots when we lived in town. The restaurant/brewery is in the basement so there's not a lot of natural light but it was clean and in a great location. We enjoyed the music. No issues with the service. The Wagyu burger was as my boyfriend remembered it. He enjoyed his meal. I had some of his chips and they were good. The fried eggplant breading could've been seasoned better but the marinara was fantastic. The salad was excellent. I would order it again. The drinks were great. Overall we had a good lunch.

Yelp
This little underground restaurant in downtown Columbia has a cute and comfortable interior, solid food options, and unique craft beers. We stopped in for dinner and drinks and ordered the rosemary buffalo chicken wings, cheese curds and beet salad. The chicken wings were the standout favorite - lots of flavor and the perfect amount of spice. I had the Fat and Sassy double pastry stout beer and it was delicious - perfect balance of bitter and sweet. Service was attentive despite it being busy.

Michael K.

Yelp
Had a nice Sunday morning brunch here with friends. Good menu options and menu beverage choices. Excellent service from Jolie and her assistant.

John W.

Yelp
Good experience. I was in town for just one night. I tried a couple of different IPAs. All were good and reasonably priced. I had the fried green tomatoes appetizer and the steak/chard salad. The food was really good. The fried green tomatoes were served over a bed of fried kale. The kale was delicious. I would eat an entire plate of it.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite spot to avoid the weather. This hidden brewery is best when live music is flowing out the doors and up the stairs. The decor and lighting make it a little intimidating if you've never been in before, but the bartenders are so warm and welcoming, it's easy to get settled. They have a stellar beer selection and unique creations. Tried and liked their current porter.

Yelp
Great local brewery that's downstairs from the main road iin the heart of Columbia, MO! I arrived late to a group dinner but everything turned out great for me. All of my colleagues already ordered and their food was just all coming out when I arrived. We were able to quickly track down the waitress and she was able to put in a beer for me and I had a sharing plate of mac and cheese as I was not that hungry. My food and drink came out within 5-10 minutes and I was able to catch up with everyone else! Great spot to bring out of towners like me and great for groups! Definitely come check out this place when you're visiting Columbia, MO!

Yelp
We were super tired, super hungry and needed a good beer. It was a long day on a roadtrip with an unexpected stop in Columbia. We Yelped looking for a place close to our hotel with food and craft beer. This place was a great find! It had a very speakeasy feel to it as we took the stairs down from the main street to the pub. Delicious pizza, son had a great pasta dish. And we both enjoyed a flight and a few extra tastes. If I lived here I would come often. We sat at the bar and had a lovely visit with the barkeep. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked delish. Whether you're one person at the bar or a big group, this place has service, drinks and food that will make everyone happy.

Yelp
Return trip to Broadway Brewery for dinner was a resounding success. For someone who was at Flat Branch on their opening day in 1994, I am a proud fan of both CoMo brewpubs! My table loved our fried cheese curds, porter dip, steak, Summer Cut Berry Berliner and Thresher Porter.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Cute little place! The description of the watermelon sour intrigued me so I wanted to try it. Something a little different. They had small bites as well and my friend and I split a meat n cheese plate. It was delicious. Service was friendly.

Yelp
We went into Broadway Brewery for lunch last Tuesday. We originally hoped to eat at 44 Canteen, but it was busy and we only had an hour to eat. Broadway Brewery only had one table and a couple of bar guests, so we tried it. They had no lunch specials (that we were told about) or lunch menu, so we spent $13 on a mediocre cocktail, $13 on wings, $13 on a chicken salad sandwich (no side), and $13 on a hamburger (no side). We sat and waited while the only front of house employee carried on with bar guests. Finally placed our order and waited 15 minutes for the wings to come out. By then we needed our check. We waited another 20 minutes for our two sandwiches, had to scarf them down and return to work late. Value, service, and pace all sucked. No wonder the place was empty while Tellers/44 Canteen are bustling!

Yelp
This only pertains to the food. We ordered burnt ends. This is such a staple of the state you can't fake it, but they did anyway. The meat was obviously cut before it was cooked rather than smoked, cubed and smoked again. The meat was barely cooked once and tasted like roast rather than brisket. Total sham.

Yelp
We've been here a few times, and we've been more and more impressed each visit. The service has been great, staff are friendly. The atmosphere is a fun top notch brewery with yummy food. Lots of menu options. - Prosciutto mushroom tortellini (4.5/5): this was delicious! I'm normally not a huge pasta fan but the flavors and textures in this dish are phenomenal. Perfect combination and flavors. - Meat lovers pizza (4/5): pretty good, standard pizza. Good amount of toppings, cheese

Yelp
Just attended a private party at the Broadway Brewery Tap Room on 9th St. Excellent service and bar. Nice venue.

Yelp
We ordered the wings, and the caprese salad with steak. The caprese salad was beautiful and seasonally flavorful. The steak was good. They never asked for a temperature, but it was not tooo over cooked. It was still tender, juicy and flavorful. The wings were dry with little flavor. I asked for a side of sauce, and it helped. Not a lot of spice. The dill sauce was great with the celery and carrots, but it went from an 8 to a 10 when I put the blue cheese crumbles in it. My wife dipped her tomato in it too. Very good. I was surprised with the Crispy fried Kale under the wings. It was an unexpected tasty treat, especially when it got the wing sauce on it. Our server Deb W was very pleasant. She was professional, and always seemed to stay busy the entire time. Whether she was cleaning tables, taking care of guests, etc. I had the honey wheat beer, and it was great. Really recommend it. My wife got half time tangerine sour beer and she enjoyed it. I am not a sour beer fan, but it was right up her alley. All in all a pretty good experience.

Yelp
Came here for a date night. They have great beer an drink selections. The food was just okay, nothing special. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the atmosphere. We will come back again.

Yelp
My wife, daughter & I dropped into the Broadway Brewery last night for a late dinner around 9pm. What a pleasant surprise! My wife and I ordered beer flights. Tango Toucan (Sour) & Father Sky, Mother Earth (IPA) were my favs. The girls shared the Brew House Salad and a Pepperoni Pizza while I had the Blackened Patchwork Porksteak. Everything was AMAZING from start to finish including the service. We will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Netanya B.

Yelp
The dessert was amazing. I had a peach cobbler with ice cream. We didn't order food and it seemed really calm for a Saturday night.
google avatar

Jason D.

Yelp
We went here after a local bicycling event. They had live music. The service was attentive. The beer was decent. I loved the unique pulled pork grilled cheese. It is hidden in the lower level.
google avatar

Mallory O.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance here is stellar! Great vibes, wonderful servers! The beers on tap are great, flights are offered so you can try multiple types of their house made brews. The Porter dip made with their Porter beer is amazing..along with their soft pretzels. Totally recommend this place if you want good beer and good food!

Yelp
I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. I placed a take out order spent almost 15 dollars on a sandwich that was suppose to be a BLT with chicken. Received 2 pieces of dry bread and a piece of dry chicken and that was it. For 15 dollars. Tried to call the store a manager never returned my call. Tried to reach out online. Got no response. Will never visit again.
google avatar

Travis H.

Yelp
This is a tough one for me because it was hands down the best beer I have had in MO in my life. I live in CA and have stereotypical CA beer taste so I want hop forward IPA's and Hazys not all this malty nonsense with too much bittering hops and nothing else. Their beers easily on par with something like a Barebottle or Fieldworks but not as good as something like an Alvarado Street. Onto the tough part. The hostess was icy cold, maybe a bad day? Server was chill though. The menu is weird AF, like I get you're in a college town but what's with all the vegetarian options alongside steakhouse options and then like bar comfort Midwest options. Pick a lane cause it was clear you do the bar comfort options well and not so much on the others. Fix up the joint, I can understand it is a dive vibe thing for the college kids or whatever but it doesn't need to be this dank and dingy to still have character and appeal.
google avatar

Caton J.

Yelp
Food is always high quality and the beer is refreshing each time. Honey Wheat is delicious.

Shelley W.

Yelp
Fabulous service on a busy football weekend. Great beer and delicious food. The manager Damon was the best! This is a great spot for Tiger families!
google avatar

Ernesha B.

Yelp
The dirty martini was delicious. The appetizers were fresh and didn't take long to come out. They ran out of a few things, but we had a bigger group. The garlic hummus and porter dip was fire! It was a little dark inside of the restaurant but the food and drinks made up for it. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall, good experience.
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
Great pizza - try the prosciutto and Brussels sprouts, it's delicious! We also enjoyed the cheese curds. Great selection of beers, too.

Yelp
In Missouri for the week for work, a friend suggested we randomly pick a place... so here we are, I didn't look at reviews before goi g which is a first. You walk downstairs to the entrance.l, it was a really cool, kind of dark atmosphere. Servers were really friendly, and attentive. The have a list of their drafts which I never heard of so this was a treat. I ordered the Double Rye IPA. 9% it was a great flavor, hoppy but smooth. I had a couple more as well. I wanted to try another one but this was perfect and didn't want to mess with it. They do offer flights as well which is always fun. For food we decided to share some starters. Buffalo wings- these were a major disappointment, not crispy, borderline undercooked (they weren't but def not cooked as they should be) at least that's whet the texture was like. They just had that rubbery chewy feel. No crispness at all. We tried the cheese curds, these were awesome, they came with a red sauce which I've never had like that, I actually dipped them in one of the other sauces we had. I would get these again, crispy, but gooey on the inside. Next up, the smoked trout hush puppies!! AMAZING!! Loved these , came with a remoulade which I dipped the curds in too!! I ordered the Canadian, this was good but way to greasy. I get it's bacon, bacon, onion etc.. but it's like the bread was dipped in melted butter or oil on both sides before making. The pasta with mushrooms was good as well, I didn't try i it but my co-worker did. I'd be back for the beer and a few things, maybe order the wings cooked well next. Over all a good time.

R H.

Yelp
Food was fantastic as well as the drinks and service. It's easy to walk past the restaurant as it is downstairs but this is a definite stop for me anytime I'm in Columbia.
google avatar

Edward D.

Yelp
This is a great place to eat too. The wagyu strip was really good even though it didn't look like a previous photo I saw of it on Yelp. My fiancé liked the butternut squash and rice, though the skin was really hard. We both got the berry lemonade sour and it was really good. The hummus appetizer is really good too. We would definitely go back.
google avatar

H M.

Yelp
Have been multiple times over the years. Food is excellent most of the time...have had some pork dishes that tasted a little off, for lack of a better description. On the flip side, the chicken and gravy dishes are always delicious (I'm somewhat of a gravy nerd). Wonderful downtown location. Staff has always been terrific, even during a rush.

Ellie T.

Yelp
Good service, good food. Our waitress was super understanding and helpful when we were totally unsure what to get. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was decent- house made chips had potential but were widely overcooked. Someone with me order the burger and said it was great too. Overall I would return !
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Everything was very nice. The meal was great including the one item I worried about. The green beans. I ordered a heifevisen beer and was a bit disappointed as it was served without the traditional lemon slice floating on top plus it had an odd chemical type taste as I finished it. Thumbs up to all but the beer. I'll happily go back but choose a different beverage.
google avatar

Sofie K.

Yelp
One of my favorite stops on a recent trip to Columbia! We popped in while exploring the downtown area. I wasn't starving so I ordered an appetizer. I got the trout hush puppies and a flight of beer. First, the trout hush puppies were so good! I think the fish was very mild and even people who do not like fish may find that they like these hush puppies. The hush puppies comes with a spicy tartar sauce to dip in and it was so tasty! I really enjoyed the beers as well. The double rye was very good and I liked the hazy ipa as well. I can't remember their names but I highly recommend a flight. I will be back to visit again and to try more items on the menu.

Matthew M.

Yelp
On multiple occasions, I was mistreated and disrespected by the staff and owner while receiving very poor service. They even tried to overcharge me by adding extra items to my bill. Given their unremarkable product, I stayed away for 5 months and then returned primarily to hear some jazz and was disrespected by the owner again. I will not return, not even for the music. Review your bill before paying!!!
google avatar

Scott J.

Yelp
Don't know about the food, but the beer and the vibe of the place sure are great. In the lower level of a downtown building, the place has great beers brewed in house as well as an extensive list of craft cocktails, bourbons, and rye.

Martha S.

Yelp
In COMO to visit family. Stopped at BB for lunch and a beverage on a Friday afternoon. Kyle, our waiter and hostess, was excellent. Promptly took our beverage orders and then lunch orders. Had the warm pretzel bites with the hot cheese sauce. So darn good! I ordered the caprese salad. OMG so delicious! Loads of heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Absolutely delicious! Tomatoes were so good. Husband had the sriracha wings, served on a bed of flash fried kale. Excellent! Kale was wonderful. Wings were delicious, maybe not as meaty as others, but full of flavor and certainly better than most wings he has had. Beer is always good. Service could not have been better despite the few staff working. Great lunch or later spot for food/drinks. Low lights, cool temps for warm summer afternoon. We will be back.
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I hosted my husband's 40th surprise party here and I have to say, if you aren't going to here, you are missing out. Since it was a Sunday evening it was pretty quiet when we got there but the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were friendly and accommodating and really helped make the evening a special one for my husband and his friends. The drinks were without a doubt delicious and plentiful and the food was fantastic. Some may not be as happy to see a smaller menu but with the items they have, there is a variety sure to please most palettes. Highly recommend by our group would be the Trout Hushpuppies, Porter Dip, Farmstead Meatloaf and Prosciutto & Chicken Tortellini. If you are looking for a great spot to stop for a drink or have dinner in downtown Columbia, this is it!
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
I always stop by Broadway Brewery when I'm in Columbia. One of the most welcoming places in town. This time with the new bartender Joselyn who is amazing. She. Is. A. Keeper. And fantastic beers to boot.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Yummy, farm to table dining Top notch brewery Laidback and Classy atmosphere with rotating local artists works on display, that are also available for purchase Highly recommend the trout hush puppies to properly start your meal off.
google avatar

Alicia P.

Yelp
Great ambiance, great beer selection with speciality cocktails. I love the cheese curds and the pulled pork sandwich. Service has also been quick

Joe G.

Yelp
I had burnt tips. They were disgusting. All fat, not burnt. I've burnt tips many times and places across the US so know how they should be done. I did not send them back because I didn't want to cause a scene with the rest of my party. Hindsight I should have sent them back considering I was the person paying the bill for 5 guests and was the one with the upset stomach after attempting to eat my meal.
google avatar

Ayman G.

Yelp
Needs more Halala/Crohn's options. Way too much pork.
google avatar

Robin H.

Yelp
I always try to go to Broadway brewery when I am in town. I love their veggie burger. The veggie burger was perfectly done with pickled onions and I got fontina cheese on top. I had macaroni and cheese as my side. I would definitely be returning.

Marsha S.

Yelp
New Year's Eve dinner was delicious. We enjoyed the prix fixe dinner of salad, lobster bisque, surf and turf, and flourless chocolate cake. Addie, our waitress , was attentive and delightful. The music was great. The only downside was the chill. We weren't far from the door.

Greg H.

Yelp
Great place. Good beer, good service, good food, and just far enough from the usuals to not be overcrowded on gameday but still downtown CoMo.
