The Best Bushwackers In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"If you want to fully understand the city’s Bushwacker lore, you must start here. This Midtown dive is a hometown institution, and it’s one of the few spots where you can enjoy this frozen treat all day long (11am-3am, to be exact). Settle in next to the PBR mural of a busty pin-up cheekily proclaiming “Great cans!” and sip on the OG, a creamy combination of silver rum, Bacardi 151, coffee and chocolate liqueur, and milk. It has a true milkshake texture and is extremely liquor-forward—proceed with caution (and maybe have some Tums on hand). The original here is no fuss, and your gateway into Nashville’s Bushwacker scene." - bailey freeman

My review is based on eating here and not just coming to drink. I definitely do not recommend coming here to eat at all. I came on a Wednesday 45 minutes before close which I get it close to closing. I tried ordering the salmon salad and then the waiter came back and said the salmon was gonna take to long to cook. So then I said the chicken was fine. Then when she brought it out she said they made the wrong salad but I was fine with it. Was not a good salad at all, all chickens aside 🐔 my girlfriend had gotten the wings and they were raw, pictures attached. Service was good but that was about it. A lot of drinks on tap!

Food was pretty good. They should give cocktail sauce instead of tarter sauce for the shrimp, but gator was yummy, catfish was delicious!

This was a nice change from the high energy loud chaos of Honky Tonk Central nearby. Though we had fun experiencing the chaos, Broadway Brewhouse was a great alternative place to share a meal and conversation where we could hear each other. Our waitress was very busy but still took time to take group photos for her customers.

We had lunch here. There was only one other table of people here. The server, who was fantastic, said it was a popular place for people to gather after work. The grilled mahi mahi po’boy was delicious. It was so moist and tender. I substituted slaw for the fries. It had a great flavor with large chunks of cabbage. My only complaint would be that it had a little more mayo in it than I would like. My husband tried a couple of the local beers and said they were very good.

Best shrimp basket I’ve had in Nashville. The hush puppies add the perfect touch. I suggest an extra cocktail sauce and some jalapeño mayo for the fries. Ask for Zac and he’ll make sure your food is correct, hot, and pairs with the perfect beer. Go for a blonde.

Everyone on Google said that “Bushwacker’s” are a Nashville tradition and that this is the spot to get one so I had to try it out for my first night in town. I can’t lie, at first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to place a drink order. I had to wait for 10 minutes to get recognized by a bar tender who was at the other end of the long bar talking to other employees. Yes, they were busy but she wasn’t serving anyone at the time. Everyone had drinks. The Bushwacker came out of a slushie machine which is par for Vegas standards when ordering a frozen Baileys. The cocktail was super boozy and had a nice flavor and I dont think I paid too much for it (there’s the booze kicking in) overall I would come here again, not too crowded, and I can deal with a lazy bar staff for a stiff drink.

Weakest Patti melt I’ve ever had in my life. Pretty disappointing. Almost no onions. Not grilled. Just on toast. Single slices of American cheese. It’s like they didn’t even even try. Pickle was good though. Fries were hot and crispy. Food was fresh. Also had chips, queso and salsa. Queso was very bland. But this also was good.

Staff here know I'm a frequent visitor. Can't go without getting the southwest chicken salad if you go here. Bartender always makes me the best Shirley temple and my food is ready in short enough order I can hop back too work in a jiffy.

Yelp
Stopped in here while searching for anywhere on Broadway that wasn't overly packed and rowdy. They have a big selection of beers. It was busy and I think there was only one bartender but he was attentive and we didn't have to wait too long to be served. Would definitely recommend as a chill spot for a drink!

Yelp
Great location in the heart of downtown Nashville on Broadway for grabbing a few local beers on draft before a concert at Bridgestone arena. I've stopped here before sat at the bar & enjoyed great craft beer. Black Abbey's The Rose is a favorite, great Belgian style beer. Also enjoyed Burial from Asheville New Zealand hops beer. Now the food is bar food, so nothing special but fine enough for a quick meal. Sitting at the bar it can take time to get attention for a beer, once you're taken care of then you will have service. You can checkout their current draft lineup on Untappd.

Yelp
This place has great food and a massive beer selection. It is also some of the most affordable food on the strip. My jambalaya was just $13.99 and the portion was massive. We also had the pork bbq egg rolls which were great, We stopped by for lunch on a Friday and it was not all that busy. The inside is quite spacious with a huge bar. Service was quick and they kept our water refilled. Be sure to try the Bushwacker!

Yelp
So much food, the nachos could have easily fed 4 people. Gator bites, fried shrimp and fried catfish were great, tartar was homemade.

Yelp
came here for the famous bushwacker - it was worth trying but just alright in our opinion. it is a strong drink but a bit too milky and melts quickly. service was good here. also ordered some food - it was meh but got the job done. be warned that salads are just iceberg lettuce.

Yelp
My chicken tender salad was the perfect size without being overwhelming. No one wants to carry left overs down Broadway. Over 70 beers to choose from. There is something for everyone. AP was the most amazing waitstaff! Humorous and attentive. They also had March Madness on and the music wasn't too loud. Perfect place to grab a beer and dinner

Yelp
A restaurant that was good but has severely gone down hill. They now even have a doorman with smallman syndrome who claimed the restaurant was at capacity even though it had many booths open. When asked if we could wait until someone leaves and he then claimed he was just going to deny us entry for no reason. DO NOT go here
