Google
Very mixed feelings. Food was amazing. Atmosphere nice. And - you go to a wine tasting place for wine tasting. The pours have been the most frugal I have ever seen, and I have been to wineries all over California. The only other place with the same level of frugality was a port winery in madera, California. On the photo you can see an actual pour. It is so invisible, that lady herself could not see it, and poured red wine over it few minutes later. So - you want good food, and decent atmosphere - come here (hence two stars). You want to taste your wine - go somewhere else.

this is for VINA ROBLES I had a fantastic experience—great wines and an even better atmosphere. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass (or two). Highly recommend for wine lovers and anyone looking for a cozy, enjoyable outing.

PS

Google
Our first time here , thought it to be a vineyard with some amazing views but it turned out to be a warehouse with wood fired pizzas …. Our server Kim was very pleasant , we loved the pizzas and the wine was great too, bought few bottles …. They have plenty of space and take walk ins

Google
This was a fab experience! Renee was so helpful and friendly. We got to try lots of different wines and it’s clear that Broken Earth produce high quality bottles. The taster menu allowed us to experience a range of grapes, pushing us outside of our comfort zone. The food was also excellent! We had a charcuterie board which served two people easily for lunch.

Google
We visited this Winery showroom early June Staff was wonderful and our tasting included 5 wines and a bonus at the end We decided to purchase a bottle of their 2019 Cab Sav as it was one of the better ones we had tasted anywhere. We were on motorcycles from Cañada so it was a challenge getting it home, keeping it cool. We finally went out to one of our Favourite Italian restaurants, Nello’s in St Albert last night, they have their bring your own wine night We had the Cab Sav, shared with the table and it was as spectacular as we remembered Every drop was savoured We will visit Broken Earth again once we are in the area

Bummer coming down here and winery was closed. Hopefully they open back up in August as this was a special winery for my wife. And they have great wine.

Google
Affordable indoor wine tasting with great services and food. Perfect choice for summer and hot weather. Will come back again Food: Pizza and cheese plates are worth the price. Drink: Offer various of sparkling wine. $20 for tasting is a steal. They waive the fee if you purchase a bottle of wine. Vibe: funny and friendly staffs. Live music on Sunday! Many cute old couples danced on the floor

I'm glad we came here, great customer service amd good wine. We joined the wine club! Very airy and casual in here. It's a must visit.

Yelp
We stopped here for tasting and had a wonderful experience tasting and learning about their wines. Richard was an awesome sommelier. Luckily we were the only people there for a while (showed up right at 11am!) so we did enjoy having the whole place to ourselves. Wines were tasty and interesting. We tasted some different grapes (Spanish and Italian) and ended up with going home with Reserve Cab Franc and couple other bottles. Their Margherita pizza was baked in the wood fire oven right there. So fresh and delicious, and paired really well with wine tasting. Tasting room is huge and spacious. Tons of parking in front.

Bruce B.

Yelp
Excellent excellent wine! Today I picked up some yummy wine. Vermentino and Cab Franc. Wow how delicious. Service was spectacular as were the wines

Marian W.

Yelp
If you're in Paso and want to do some non pretentious wine tasting you must stop in at Broken Earth Winery. It's conveniently located just off the 101. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon on our way to Santa Barbara. We were greeted and seated right away. We did a tasting flight and ordered a pizza. If you're smart you'll ask to have Annie pour your tastings as she is so much fun to interact with. She also recommended another stop. Friendly relaxed vibe in a cool setting. We'll be back.

Cassandra S.

Yelp
Stopped by for a tasting with my family. The area is very industrial but a great space. Wine was good, and had something for everyone. Annie was great, provided some really nice insight on the wines and even grabbed a tasting of a blend for me since I like blends. The area is great for events, and a significant amount of seating. They offer food, but we are prior so I can't speak on the food.

Yelp
This place is awesome! We stopped here as a halfway point between LA and San Francisco and I'm so glad we did. It was easy to get to right off the freeway and let me tell you the service, the food and most importantly, the wine were all phenomenal! Rich was knowledgeable and so fun! I was incredibly impressed by the varietals and we ended up buying 4 bottles after doing the tasting. I love that they change up the tasting menu every month or so as well! The food options were amazing too! We ended up splitting a Caesar salad and the Al Funghi wood fired pizza and this was probably the best meal I've had in ages. Everything was made in house from dressing to crust and you can tell. They had live music as well. If we hadn't been on a timeline to get up to San Fran, we would have spent the entire day here. 10/10 recommend!

Becca B.

Yelp
A great hidden gem near Firestone brewery. We were in town for a wedding with 12 people! They were able to accommodate us. The wines were delicious and service was great- I highly recommend adding broken earth to your list when visiting paso

Prasiddha H.

Yelp
We went to Broken Earth Winery when in the Paso area and did the wine tasting here. This is an open area and good for dates and hangouts with the girls! It's open spaces which is nice. The service here was fast and quick and I enjoyed it. In our tasting we got to try 5 different wines, 2 whites and 3 reds - I enjoyed the red wines more and I could tell each one was different. The person helping us was nice to and explained all the wines we had very clearly which made me enjoy each wine more. For $20 per tasting this was worth it!

Jeff L.

Yelp
My wife and I always love coming here. The food and wine are excellent and the service is top notch. Ask for Annie and she'll provide a great tasting experience! And if you're in Paso during a heat wave you can escape to the bathrooms which are the coldest places in town!

Julie B.

Yelp
Amazing service. Ask for Richard. Great pizza in oven from Naples. Great atmosphere and vibe. Great wine. Hubby liked cab but merlot is a must try. They have some live music as well. We will be back again

Jeanette L.

Yelp
Renee was a fantastic host! She was friendly and had great recommendations for the food and wine. My friends, and I loved the Pizza Al Funghi that she had recommended. The crust had the perfect mix of softness and crispiness! Wine was easy drinking and had a good variety. Extra pours were brought out for wines our interested in.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Server was very nice! fast service too! we enjoyed our time here, little pricey but not too bad. I would like to again with more friends and have a nice time.

Linda F.

Yelp
Service was excellent, Renee was a wealth of knowledge about the brand. Loved the warehouse open feeling. Plus the option to choose from so many fun wines! And you can order small bites

Shelby A.

Yelp
Renee B. was awesome!!! Super informative on all the wines and fun conversation. Wines were lovely and we bought two bottles! Definitely would love to come back and recommend highly!

Paola A.

Yelp
We had an incredibly delightful experience at this winery! The ambiance was great, the wines were top-notch, and our server, Renee, was truly exceptional - we appreciated learning about the winery's history. We look forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Great tasting room with a clean, industrial vibe. Perfect for large parties or events or just to stop by on a sunny afternoon. A separate loft upstairs makes for a great space for private parties. Ample parking out front. The wood fired pizza oven was pumping out some beautiful pies. I enjoyed the Grenache Rose. Very refreshing with a berry citrus flavor. The Verdelho would be a wonderful choice on a hot day. The 2019 Malbec was a delightful surprise, light and full of berry flavor with a peppery finish, not too sweet. The cab didn't get me excited but was good. The Miss Stella (Black Muscat) was delicious! Annie was an awesome server and lots of fun. Broken Earth is a great place to hang out and perfect for private parties.

Jason S.

Yelp
Wine tasting was a lot of fun. Renee U was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great spot if you are in Paso.

Eric H.

Yelp
A really nice big open space with tons of windows and light. Nice crisp whites and rose. I loved the merlot and it went well with some yummy wood oven pizza! Location is great for those traveling the 101. Perfect place to stop!

Val M.

Yelp
We came to Passo Robkes for the weekend and found this tasting room on a whim. We decided to make reservations for a wine tasting, but really made our choice based on the wood-first pizza selection. Well, we were greeted right away and wouldn't say you need a reservation, because it's not as busy as we thought it would be- we came at 1:30PM. The wine tasting is $20/person. However, the food was SOO good!y gf and I had the Caprese Salad and Pizza Al Funghi and added pepperoni. It was the perfect amount for us both and the food was delicious. We finished everything! Highly recommend if you're looking for something casual and a nice, delicious, bite to eat!

David A R.

Yelp
The wines were ok, but the cavernous tasting room feels like an industrial wedding event space bereft of intimacy. I'd never had the wines before so I was surprised they produced over 100.000 cases a year. And I liked that they actually had some varietals I hadn't come across before. But none were a great revelation. In alGlad Ive been there. Don't need to come back.

Nancy C.

Yelp
Renee U. is great! Very friendly and wonderful service My favorite wine was the Anonymity Very flavorful and crisp Didn't eat so no comment on the food Atmosphere is very expansive Lots of choices in seating Will definitely return next time for their line dancing on Tuesdays

Luis N.

Yelp
Broken Earth Winery! We were amazed by the great variety of wines. Rene B was very wine savvy and friendly personality. We highly recommend this winery if you're passing by the 101 highway.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday. Very quiet . Renee and Nadine were wonderful - we each did a tasting and they gave us a few extra pours since it was quiet. Got two bottles of wine which waived the price of one of the tastings. Love the limited editions wines. Place is huge. Great value. Wonderful service. Absolutely recommend for anyone traveling to Paso Robles.

Ozman V.

Yelp
Try their Malbec with one of their amazing red sauce pizzas, you won't be disappointed. Service is top notch, we had a reservation and arrived early but got seated, no issues. Pizza came out very quickly, thin and crispy. Delicious. Great winery with wonderful options, do the tasting and try their pizzas, don't be fooled by the location, inside is nice and roomy!

Sandra E.

Yelp
Loved the Pizza Al funghi service was amazing . Loved the Rose

Emrie T.

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday and were essentially the only people in the restaurant. I thought it would be more like the lovely local vineyards but it's essentially a warehouse in an industrial area. The server was very friendly. We spent most of the meal talking with her. I had a tasting with some lovely central coast wines. The food menu is bit expensive but most items are designed as a shareable. The pizza was tasty with a thin crispy crust standard to a oven style pizza. Id recommend this for a night out with friends rather than a date night.

Wes M.

Yelp
Great vibe and atmosphere with stellar service. The staff is well educated on the varietals and offered nice insight. A must stop for any wine tour....

Laura S.

Yelp
Stopped in After a long road trip. Split a tasting, ordered the mushroom pizza and Cesar. Everything was delicious. We bout 2 bottles of wine to go. 4.5 star - Patio had no cover and the sun was too hot for us to sit there with our puppy. Otherwise, i would Definitely recommend this place.

Erlinda G.

Yelp
Service was excellent, sommelier Rich was very knowledgeable and personable. The pizza made me feel like we were in Italy. The atmosphere was laid back good vibes.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Very spacious warehouse vibe winery that's dog friendly. Had a member for a day coupon that covered free tasting. Ordered the fungi pizza which is a white sauce and pretty tasty.

Scott W.

Yelp
Went here for the Pizza and it didn't disappoint. Our server was really super friendly and she was very efficient.

Yelp
Renee U, hosted us and it was great. Coming from San Francisco, so close to Napa it is tough to beat but Broken Earth help up. Also our favorite from the entire weekend in SLO county. Thank you Renee!!!

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed Broken Earth's delicious truffle fungi pizza (10/10 would recommed) along with Renee's phenomenal service! She took note on types of wines our group of 3 liked and brought out different variations that's were off the tasting menu for us to try. Their sparkling Albatino off the specialty wines is such a sweet treat!

Merina S.

Yelp
Wow! When I first walked in I was blown away! The space is so beautiful and charming. I was greeted by Renee U who was just incredibly bright and sweet and lovely. We did a wine tasting and it was great! Highly recommend

Shannon J.

Yelp
Trudy is an absolute gem! We came with our 94 year old Grandpa and she was so sweet, charming and patient. The wine is wonderful. Bought several bottles and can't wait to come back for more!

Ned R.

Yelp
The wine here is incredible. We did the tasting and each glass was better than the last. And the pizza?!?!? Amazing pizza. My wife and I stumbled across this place just looking for someone who did Cab Franc (incredible btw) So glad we stopped. Such amazing wine and super friendly and very knowledge staff. Love this place and will be back whenever we are coming through Paso.

Rachelle S.

Yelp
We had lunch and a tasting at Broken Earth, Renee (o.g. Renee) was our server. She was very friendly and a pleasure to visit with. She offered great recommendations on wineries and restaurants. The pizza was delicious and each wine pour was better than the last! One of the best stops on our wine tour! Highly recommend!

Chris N.

Yelp
We decided to walk away without buying anything because the workers there were just beyond rude. We came in for two bottles of wine to celebrate my sister's wedding. One of their workers greeted us by throwing a menu in front of us and stating "here, words." before immediately leaving. She sarcastically repeated our bottle orders to her coworker, with her eyes rolling and saying: "they are not even doing tasting." Decided to walk away because every human deserves respect and the workers did not do that - I highly recommend against going. Did I mention we are both minorities? Not to make the connection immediately but just something to consider before going.

Carol C.

Yelp
Great location, inside space for large parties and amazing wine!!!! Loved the Verddelho and Grenache Rose. A must stop on the wine trail.

Rosa H.

Yelp
I visited with my husband, who is new to wines. We enjoyed the wood fired pizza (we ordered the Pizza Salsciccia) and a tasting. We enjoyed a tasting with a sommelier who was patient with all our questions and shared plenty of fun wine facts! We're looking forward to returning for their Sunday brunch buffet with endless mimosas

Bri S.

Yelp
Good wines, needs more attention on customer service. Came here on Memorial Day for an ad-hoc wine tasting after stopping for beer nearby. There were 3 or 4 other parties already in the place, not crowded at all because this place is literally giant. We were told to sit anywhere, so we sat near the middle so we could do a relatively quick tasting (not there for food) and go onto the next destination. Only problem, they only bothered to have one employee... on a weekend. A holiday weekend. Keep in mind the tasting room is huge and has two bars, three seating areas, plus an upstairs VIP lounge, plus food. Imagine entrusting all of this responsibility to one person, and pray that all your guests managed to be happy? Somehow she did a pretty great job but we couldn't believe it and felt bad for her the whole time. It also slowed down our experience slightly, even though she was constantly running from station to station. Bought two bottles of Anonymity (Torrontes) because it's tasty and easily worth the price as a hard to find varietal in California. The red wines were also good but the white really struck us as something nice. Tipped for the excellent service, and because we felt bad. I can't pretend to understand owners of a business like this. Are you allergic to making money after investing all this time and effort into physically building out your establishment? I can only imagine how many parties get turned off and leave, or end up spending less time or money there, if there is not enough help to run the place. I can't imagine joining their wine club or VIP either and having to deal with lack of attention to detail. Would definitely come back to try the wine again (and maybe order food), but hopefully they have it all smoothed out next time.

Joey S.

Yelp
Tasting was very good for. Renee was very good at explaining all the wines. We had a wonderful time on the Tuesday a great way to cap off our trip in Paso. See you again.

Rebeca S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time wine tasting at Broken Earth Winery. Renee U is amazing and incredibly informative! We will definitely be coming back whenever we visit Paso Robles. Thank you for an amazing time!

Kriste J.

Yelp
We loved Trudy!! She is so personable, knowledgeable and fun! Beautiful, big space, yet we received personal attention. I especially enjoyed the rose and the merlot and our charcuterie tray was a perfect match!

Raelena V.

Yelp
Ambiance was rustic modern and fun! Service was excellent! Richard was well versed and extremely knowledgeable! Pizza was especially tasty! Would definitely recommend!

Joe P.

Yelp
The wine was amazing, paired with a friendly, and knowledgeable staff. I would recommend the 2019 Limited Release Malbec!

stacy w.

Yelp
OG Renee was fabulous and gave us so much great info! We love and I learned a lot about more varietals. We found this location on a whim and we have to say we would back. We purchased two bottles and I'm so stoked. Highly recommend for the wine and the great knowledge!

Kevin H.

Yelp
About to leave town and we needed a lunch stop without going up to the hills. Gorgeous, modern place that is obviously laid out for groups large or small. A private "Members Loft" and a place for live entertainment as well. We had our Pooch, so we sat outside on the patio (where they are allowed), which was lounge style with a fire feature. Server Trudy (T) took very good care of us, knows her wines and it seems everyone who lives/works in Paso. She is definitely a seasoned pro and very funny and engaging too, we loved her. Chef Kelly (Sp?) made us two artisan pizzas which were both very good, as well as was the Caesar Salad. She also came over and dropped a plate of Cheese Bread that she was creating as a Tester and left the entire plate for us, very good and fun. We tried six wines from lighter whites to structured reds. All were qualitative, drinkable now, could be cellared if desired, and affordable. No complaints or concerns, and they had a nice variety and story as to how the winemaker chose the varietals that he grows. We picked up bottles to go and we will defiantly be coming back. We found it to be a great place located closer to town, yet still open, inviting and should rarely if over be an issue finding space, so you don't have to worry about just "showing up"! They do accept reservations and encourage them, however walk-ins are allowed, which is no longer the case everywhere. Great Food, Wine, Super Friendly, and affordable. A mix that works for us on what is always an expensive trip to visit our favorite wine district!

Beatriz C.

Yelp
Annie was so sweet and put our tables together to join our wonderful group of people! And the wine is 30 stars!
