We had two skillets n 1 kids scrambled egg. Food was terrific, sadly the kids items were extremely small sized. Even the lemonade seemed to be in a 6 0z cup. For the cost of 10$$ way over priced. Just split your adult meal.

We had an excellent experience picking up breakfast catering! The food was delicious, and the presentation was very nice, neat, & polished! Our out of town guests absolutely loved the breakfast burritos! Everything was great. :)

Went here around noon on Memorial day Monday with my boyfriend. We only waited around 10 minutes, our server did seem busy however our drinks and food were out within minutes. The food was fantastic! They have an option on your menu to choose two different eggs benedict(1 piece of each) And I absolutely love this because the combinations they have all looked so delicious. We ordered one tall Mimosa, a mimosa flight, the chicken and waffle Benedict the sope Benedict, and the Cali Benedict. I didn't realize this was a restaurant chain until looking up the directions, but I'm glad that it is because I would definitely want to go back again.

I eat NY steaks here almost every day, great price/quality ratio. I highly recommend it. If you have a strict diet like me, it is very suitable. You can always order the steak as a side.

Food is what you'd expect from a breakfast place, meaning that the eggs will be fine and so will the omelets. It's the other items that set some places apart like the tiki French toast. The service staff was friendly and prompt.

Service was excellent. The food was good, with a few caveats. The home fries were partly cold and some still crunchy(raw). While the Benedict's were very tasty they were not particularly hot. I suspect they were rushed out and perhaps the microwave was employed. That being said the cook on the eggs was perfect, and the flavor was there. Will definitely try again to see if it's a consistent thing or just a miss for today.

Quickly was seated and server was quick to attend and take my order. But expensive for average food that is the same everywhere else. Orange juice was $6. Crepes was $15. Bacon/eggs $7. Hashbrown $5. Very expensive so my meal came out with $45. Wouldn’t come back due to pricing

Healthy options, tasty and nice ambiance. The broken yolk style is my favorite thing.

Overall: There was no wait so that was really good and the server came to us pretty quickly. He was very kind and friendly. I've gone to broke yolk before and their quality is pretty decent. Not bad, but not anything top tier which makes sense for the price range. Ambiance: Very family friendly and tranquil for a brunch with friends or family. Specifics: The hot cocoa was pretty good, standard cup of cocoa. The blueberry banana smoothie was my brother's favorite part of the meal. His food wasn't bad, he just felt like it was average. He did the say bacon was kinda hard though, if you're into that maybe it's a plus.

My experience here was definitely mid. To start off the utensils we were given were dirty. We told our server and got them replaced right away though. Our server did a great job. We got the Matcha Latte and that was definitely a 5/5. Not bitter at all and sweet. I'd totally recommend this latte if you're a big matcha fan. We got the Spicy Vegan Breakfast Bowl, the Belgian Waffle, and the Caprese Eggs Benedict. The breakfast bowl was okay. It definitely tasted vegan so it's a great choice if you're into that. My only issue with the dish was the inconsistency of the potatoes where some parts were chewy and others were crispy but overall a good dish. The Belgian Waffle is what you expect to be so it's a good choice if you're a waffle lover or want something sweet for a meal. I personally enjoyed the eggs Benedict and thought their sauce was top notch. I know it's not the restaurant fault for inflation but the price for the whole meal hurt my soul. It came out to be $60 (before tip) for the 3 plates and latte. I'm not sure if I'd come back here.

VEGAN options- they use JUST EGG and can pretty much modify any omelette to your preferences which is what I got with rice beans (no cheese) and FLOUR tortillas. We were seated quickly on a Sunday ~ 12:00/12:30 which is crazy because that brunch peak hours. It was busy don't get me wrong but they have tables for 2 so it worked out great since we were very limited on time. Personally would like to see more vegan options like vegan french toast... I mean y'all already have the just egg, just throw some thick bread and dust cinnamon and you're good to go! lol also, I know you're a big franchise, but fresh juice (not that fake sugary juice) would go a LONG WAY. also also, y'all need to fix your tvs, it's Sunday football season! The vibe was Sunday brunch and sports at the chain diner.

So I can't remember if I have ever been to a Broken Yolk in Arizona, I am thinking I have not. Our first time here in San Diego for sure. I ordered the breakfast tacos, my son ordered chicken and waffles, and hubby had a breakfast sandwhich. Our waitresses was nice and attentive. Our food came out pretty quickly, hot and delicious. We all enjoyed our plates. We would definitely be back and now for sure I have to visit the location in my hometown.

So I took my daughter for breakfast this morning and it was BUUSYY!! But we did not have to wait to be seated. We were sat down immediately. We had three different waiters ask us what we wanted to drink. So I love how on top of it that they were. We ordered our food and I am telling you it was super busy there. So every one and everything was going fast. They our food came out and it was so yummy! My daughter and I actually could not finish our food. We had to get to go boxes. But we both finished our green tea macha lattes!! Yummy that is my favorite drink. I got it iced and she got it hot. I will definitely be returning to this Broken Yolk. Great place for brunch! Little to no wait on a Saturday before noon was a plus. Server Rodrigo was great and accommodating to everything we asked for even though he was very busy with many tables. Food was great, California Benedicts were really good.

for a first time i had an amazing experience. Rodrigo was an amazing server. and the food was delicious i would definitely come back restaurant was nice and clean the restroom where decent and clean the food was great and there customer service satisfied always on top of everything didn't have to ask for nothing not even napkins which is one thing i always ask in restaurants

Clean restaurant, very friendly staff. Quick service and server made sure we had our drinks topped off. Breakfast was great, servings will fill your stomach! Server Juan was helpful and friendly. Food was served quickly. Food was good, prices reasonable. Large pancakes!

Really loved visiting for a late breakfast. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Our bloody Mary's looked and tasted amazing and the food portions were very generous and flavorful. Parking is a breeze as it has its own parking area. Whenever I'm back in the area I'd be sure to come here again to try more of their menu options!

We haven't been here since the pandemic. Seems like we missed a lot. They have more choices. The food is still very good. The servers are nice and attentive.

Overall not bad! The service was good and the food came out quickly. I think the quality of the food left a little to be desired. The sopes Benedict was the star; the classic one had a hollandaise that felt like it was made from a McCormick packet. To their credit, both poached eggs had runny yolks!! The croque madam was also alright. The jam wasn't my favorite and I either didn't notice the bechamel or it was not on the dish. Which is a key part of the dish. Like I said, I would stop in again if we were in the area but its not something I think I'll go out of my way for...

Wonderful brunch spot! Stayed in hotel close by and was looking for a good brunch spot! Broken yolk has nice menu, friendly staff and large parking lot. We were able to get seated right away. What is particular for the Broken Yolk Cafe is their large menu featuring many many breakfast fares! From large omelette to healthy choices! I had avocado toast and she had eggs Benedict that were great! All in all - exactly right breakfast spot!!!

This was our first time at this location and using the "Join Waitlist" within the website. We were seated right away! No waiting! Our server Rodrigo was very friendly and attentive. He gave us great customer service and made sure our coffee was always full. Even though the restaurant was quite busy our food came in a timely manner. And it was delicious! It is a pretty noisy restaurant but that's to be expected. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. I highly recommend this place if you're in the Mission Valley area.

We got seated immediately when we walked in, and server immediately came up to us to welcome us and grab our drink order. I got the messy iced caramel latte and it was so good, could have had a bit more caramel. Food was good as usual! The only complaint was that my mom's chicken fried steak was a bit overcooked but still okay.

The breakfast burrito actually isn't bad. I liked how they got the hash and bacon crispy. It's just not worth paying 17 dollars for. It was filling by itself, so I would recommend removing the beans and rice. I don't know how much difference in price that would make, but I would feel a lot better paying 15 for this burrito.

Honestly , Broken Yolk is my favorite breakfast food chain. Every single one I've gone to.. so quick with getting food out. Service is always great. The alcoholic drinks BOMB. The mimosas have a good amount of alcohol in them. I always get the chilaquiles with the carne asada and the verde salsa. Sooooooo good. Definitely recommend.

I came in for lunch and ordered a sun up breakfast sandwich with hash browns and fruit cup. The breakfast sandwich had bacon with eggs on sourdough bread. The sandwich was very delicious and the hash browns were delicious and flavorful. The fruit cup was a perfect addition to the sandwich and the hash browns. Customer service was excellent and ambiance is customer service friendly. This is a great place for breakfast.

If you are staying in the Hotel Circle area and too lazy to drive because it's too early, this place is ok for breakfast. I highly encourage reserving a spot on Yelp waiting list, it seems to be always crowded here. Service is good, place is clean, food is ok.

I've always liked Broken Yolk but lately it doesn't knock my socks off like it once did. The food is good but not really anything special. I got the No Name Omlette recently and the bacon was cut up like crumbs. Portions seem smaller than they used to be and they took Italian Sausage off the menu. Still love the Blueberry Muffins and Side of Fruit was very nice. Service was friendly and there are lots of TVs to enjoy whatever big game is playing. It's still a pleasant place to go.

First time here, in Mission Valley location S.D. I ordered a cheeseburger with regular fries, and my wife had a turkey club sandwich with sweet potato fries. They were both fantastic and delicious. Our other couples who were with us ordered an egg skillet, waffle, chorizo and eggs, and a classic omelette with a side of fruit. All of the food looked good and was served hot and fresh. Since we were a party of eight, our check was marked with an automatic 18% gratuity. I don't mind this, but our server wasn't the friendliest server, and over the top, she may have had the bad morning to start, so I won't ding her too bad. The place is really busy but we were able to get a table within a reasonable time. We were there at 9am on a Saturday morning, so it was ok. I don't have any pics of the plates that we received, but if you haven't tried it here, breakfast or lunch, you should.

I took my family for brunch to this location, we are having a good time, I got a hair on my food and told my waitress away from my table so the rest of my party would not be uncomfortable. But not even an apology wondering if I should have told the manager

It was a busy Saturday and we were seated quickly, had great service and the food was delicious. We have been at least 6 times over the last year and it's always an enjoyable experience.

I paid with cash up at the front, assuming that a local business would like cash, and could use the small bills. The bill was $55.70 and I gave the guy ringing me up $56.00. I thought it was strange when he asked me, "Do you want your change?" I said "yes," and he asked again, pointing to the bill. I thought English might have been a problem. I said, "Yes, of course. I left the tip on the table." Then the cashier handed me a quarter. So yeah, he shorted me a nickel and I will never go back. You should not have to ask a customer if they want their change and then not give them all of it. What in the world???

I have always had an amazing time here at Broken Yolk by the Mission Valley mall whether it be alone or with family. The crew here from the chefs, managers, servers, hostesses-have all welcomed me and made me feel at home. I'd like to write this review for Arlette, I've had the pleasure of working with here as she has always delivered exceptional service the times I've dined alone. From one doll to another, stay lovely, stay true but most of all continue to just be you. Beautiful inside and out. Thank you and best wishes to your new journey.

Broken yolk is my favorite breakfast chain in San Diego! My go-to is always their Eggs Benedict meals. I love how you can get 2 different kinds as well. I will say out of all the locations I have been to this Mission Valley one is a bit lackluster. The wait is always really long, especially on weekends so plan your meal here accordingly. They also have bomb mimosas! Strong too!

Great customer service!!! Rodrigo, our waiter, was attentive and had a very positive attitude, which made our breakfast special. The manager stopped by to check on us, which was very nice of them. Food was great and served the way we ordered. Only downfall were the restrooms, they required a bit of service as they had a heavy unpleasant smell. Other than that, great experience overall.

Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Got seated right away. Hostess was very nice and our waitress came over right away to get our drink order. Service continued to be spot on throughout our stay. My wife got an Eggs Benedict Mexican style. Food was warm at best and seasoning was lacking. I order the Machaca... portions were good. Corn tortillas were piping hot and tasty. Beans were barely warm and had no flavor. Rice was ok. Eggs with shredded beef was tasty but no seasoning and barely warm. The ambience was good, service was nice, but the food quality, temperature was very lacking.

Service is fantastic and the food is plentiful but there's absolutely no flavor in any of the food. I had the chicken and waffles and lemon ricotta pancakes and it would be described as blah. Just plain. Nothing special. Wouldn't come back. Again service was fantastic but the food was mid.

I've always seen this Broken Yolk off the freeway so I decided to come try it out. I parked and went inside and got seated right away. We also placed our orders super quick. The food came out quick and fresh. The waiter was nice and courteous. The inside of the restaurant was so nice and modern. Loved the decor of this establishment. If you're looking for quick service and yummy breakfast this is the place to be. Thank you Broken Yolk for a good first time experience.

Had a fun time at the Broken Yolk with some friends. I appreciate how it's easier to get in here for brunch than some other places. I had the churro french toast and pomegranate mimosa. Everything was so tasty! I would definitely reorder both items in the future. The service was great. Our servir was super nice and so was everyone else who serviced our table. It was busy but not crowded so I felt like we had space to eat and enjoy.

Got the same male server and received a nice, warm greeting as in the past. Ordered The No Name Omelette and Belgian Waffles with Bananas. GinaBee and I split it. Perfectly prepared! Low sodium and minimized the sugar.

Positive experience, as usual. No wait to be seated, even though we arrived mid-Saturday morning. Busy and noisy, but that's expected for Broken Yolk. Rodrigo, our server, was efficient, professional, and friendly. He delivered great service to all members of our party. Food was good. Beef on the machaca plate could have been more seasoned. But overall, everyone's food was the quality we expected.

I feel the nostalgia for the PB location, going in college, waiting in the long lines, feeling the anticipation. It's nice to have more spots, like this one in Mission Valley, although the nostalgia is a little worn off here. Their menu is creative, like I ordered a chicken and waffles eggs benedict...two of my most favorite breakfast meals combined together. The fruit side were HUGE sweet chunks of fruit and the good kind. Not just grapes and melon. My photo doesn't do it justice but this was very filling. Price has definitely increased but that was expected with the economy trends, no surprise. We had free meal coupons from donating blood at the SD Blood Bank. Wonderful that this business supports them

I have been coming to broken yolk for years. My usual location was the one in San Marcos off of Las Posas Rd. I remember the first time I ever ate there I was with my mom, family, and friends and it has always been amazing. The atmosphere is always vibrant, there is so much life every time you go to one of the establishments and the food has up to this point been on point. My go-to order is usually the Chilaquiles which is listed on the South of the Border part of the menu. You can pick whether you want red or green sauce and I usually switch depending on my mood, but my preferred option is the red sauce. I also asked for my eggs to be poached. This is just my preferred style to have my eggs since I am not the biggest fan of them. The yolk when it runs down the chilaquiles is always amazing! It all blends together and tastes like heaven. Add some awesome mimosa options, and you have yourself a great brunch location! I always get cravings and come back because it is just a fun spot to visit and eat at especially when you have nothing else to do.
