The Best Brazilian Restaurants in the Northeast - Eater Philly

"One of the newer rodizio-style steakhouses, Broncos offers a more family-friendly atmosphere than the upscale offerings of Picanha. Outside of flame-grilled cuts of meat, the restaurant also has a popular well-stocked and protein-filled salad bar, as well as an ample dessert selection. Broncos is also more modestly priced than some of its peers. While you can still enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal, the restaurant has more recently updated its menu to include combo platters and sandwiches for takeout. Don’t miss the grilled pineapple and be sure to order a slice of the chocolate flan for dessert." - Shawn Ralston

We celebrated our wedding day here. Great service, everything was on point. Meats, salad bar all was perfect. Thanks to owner for excellent time and cake. We had so much fun

Google
Good selection of beef & great service. Pay for all you can eat or pay by weight, very reasonable price. Convenient Northeast Philly location. BYOB

Google
Small steak house all you can eat beef with cold and hot bars. Broncos is a cozy place with a friendly staff and very clean. Would have given 5 stars but meat was a little bit overdone for the rare/medium rare we ordered also just a small language barrier with the server but not a deal breaker definitely would eat here again.

Google
The tag is a lie! We turned the green tag to red and the meat kept coming! LOL This was a great experience. I had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before and as a vegetarian I didn’t know what to expect. The salad bar was great, filled with rice, beans, plantains, yucca…. Oh and salad. My friends loved the meat. I loved the pineapple mint drink.

Food and service is unique!

Google
Great place with a lot of healthy options. Also really cheap, this whole plate only cost around 12$ before the tips.

Google
This place is the best. Authentic Brazilian barbecue with great sides, drinks, and desserts.

Google
I used to like this place when they first open but now im sorry the food is not as good anymore the food is over priced and also the food is dry. The last time I went was very disappointed and told myself I will not buy food from here again. Gave it another shot by buying dessert, they can't mess that up right?? Guess what ?? They did. Im done. If you like it, cool. But I'm not coming back here. And I don't need a refund or a discount to come back I'm good

Yelp
Based on a few reviews, I would not try this place. Before the pandemic my husband and I would eat here. The food at the time was very good but based on recent reviews I wouldn't eat here again.

Yelp
Came to Broncos after enjoying an amazing time at the Insectarium and Butterfly Pavillion nearby and it definitely hit the spot! It is located in a small strip plaza with a few other eateries, and there is limited parking (and we were lucky enough to get one!). Inside it is very spacious, good for large and small groups as well kids because their booths are spacious. We did the pay by pound option ($11/lb) which included the salad bar, rice, beans, appetizers and all the meats we could pile onto our plates. We weren't super hungry for the All You Can Eat $40 option, but that's still a huge bang for your buck with the amount of food you get. I loaded up on chicken salad, beans, garlic steak, chorizo and a little bit of everything else and my plate was about $20 which was very reasonable. Hubby and I both loved the seasoning on the meats and wished this place was a bit closer to home so we could come more often. Definitely check them out!

Yelp
Great food, great service honestly don't understand why there are some bad reviews on this place. They are simple but very clean good food and awesome service. What else can you expect? People are too picky and insensitive they find real easy to trash a places that's a shame

Yelp
Some consider Broncos to be an economical alternative to classy Philadelphian restaurants like Fogo de Chao or Chima, but I thought it was a completely different, unique experience. Almost every aspect of the meal was of good to exceptional quality. Firstly, most of the meats were pretty tasty. Some highlights included some very juicy chicken wrapped bacon, ribeye, lamb, and their house special picanha. Some cuts, especially the brisket were rather tough, but this did not overshadow the positive quality of an overwheliming majority of meat selections. Additionally, the salad bar offered selections such as collards, hearts of palm, beets, and sauces that were all very fresh and tasty. I tasted a strong plum flavor in the chimmichurri which was quite unique from the traditional. The hot bar featured various Brazillian staples, including yuca flour, collards, and a well seasoned black bean pork stew. Lastly, the service was a bit spotty at times. Various servers came to check up on our party and ask about how our meal was, but water glasses were rarely refilled and there were ~10 minute stretches without any rodizio meats coming out of the kitchen. I guess that a busy father's day can justify the long wait in some aspects. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Overall rating: 8.2/10

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. A true gem of the northeast. Forget those overpriced steakhouse chains. Broncos is where it's at. I had the radizio and unlimited salad bad/hot bar for dinner. Let me preface this by saying I am not a meat eater. Damn. I like steak now. The meat is amazing. Such variety, and all cooked to perfection. The hot bar was incredible. Various rices, beans, ribs, chicken, pasta, fish, vegetables etc. The cold bar had amazing salads and fresh fruit. Also, the hot sauce and chimichurri were amazing. I had a Brazilian coffee and lemon cake. An amazing way to end this meal. I won't hesitate to be back! Amazing.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect, but as soon as I walked in on a Saturday early afternoon, I figured it out. This is the first Brazilian restaurant that I went to and immediately heard people speaking Portuguese, with waitresses and a manager who all took pride in the restaurant, the food served, and quality service. You can get the fresh meat all you can eat, or just the buffet all you can eat if you don't want that much meat. Plus they specify which level of cooking you want you meat to be at before they come, which I appreciated! At the buffet, there are several fruit and veggies sides and appetizers, as well as a goat stew with yucca, bread with cheeses, rice with mussels, the best hot sauce (homemade with a spicy kick) and much more. 14.99, next time I'd consider just the cold/hot buffet, or you can go by the pound, which is what more people were doing. But then we got our meats. Short ribs, top sirloin, brisket and more all to taste and fresh, directly to the table until you need a break. The cuts of meat are huge, so specify if you'd like more/less of a certain cut or if you want to split one around the table first. A little salty on the outside, but so lovely and marbled with fat, and it tasted great with the sauces they had. Based on the all-out amazing buffet items, as well as the juicy bbq meat, the price is worth it. Ask if you have questions, and if the meat is coming out slowly, make sure they know you're still hungry! We had no problems, expect that we got full and wanted to keep eating.

Yelp
I reviewed this place a year ago but oh my how things change. The old owner sold the place a couple months ago and it seems everything came tumbling down. The price went up and food quality significantly down. The service is also not so great.

Yelp
Wow. This place is a true treasure. Great food, delicious steak and meat and fish of all varieties available either at an all-you-can eat or by the pound price. The steaks I've tried in my three visits have all been succulent and flavorful. And the desserts are out of this world. I've tried chocolate and coconut flan and the passionfruit mousse. Each one has been amazing. I also really like the authentic Brazilian items on the buffet. So far I've gone with the by-the-pound option, but it looks like most people on dates go for the all you can eat approach, where servers continuously come to your table offer fresh steak cravings off the spit.

Yelp
First thing... sorry, no pictures from this place except for one. All of our time was spend enjoying their different meats. The price is great for the "all you can eat" meal deal. Their meats were great. Big restaurant taste at small-family-size prices. I really enjoyed it. Our meal came with a free bottle of Italian Vino... could not get any better than that. 1) Place was clean and welcoming. We were quickly sat down and explained the options and the restaurant's etiquette. 2) person who sat us down was friendly and explained it all. Person serving the meats was friendly, attentive, and explained the cuts and types meats to us. 3) Had several types and cuts of meats and grilled Pineapple. All delicious!!!! I enjoyed this family size and style place very much and will be retuning in the future. I very much recommend you give them a try.

Yelp
Wanted to try a new steakhouse besides Picanha and Taste of Brazil and maybe I should have stuck with what I'm used to. Nothing really stood out as there was a small variety of sides and meat selection. There was at least 7 different types of meat and wasn't very appetizing except for the individual steak that they provided and the chorizo. The hostess/waitress was very nice but terrible service. At least the worker handling the meat kept on coming around. **For 2 AYCE meat, the bill came to around $84!! Why was it so expensive?? I wasn't sure if tip was included as it didn't show on the receipt but I did leave a tip just in case although paying anymore money was a waste.** Overall, really nice people, but service could be better and for the price you're paying for AYCE, definitely should have more options.
google avatar

Carol A.

Yelp
The ambiance is a step above fast food. The service is very good re: checking if you need anything else. The biggest drawback is the steak. It was fairly tasteless. I plan to return to try a different cut and see if that is better. The biggest plus is that they offer a choice between "all you can eat" and paying $11/pound for the steak and whatever you choose from the "sides bar" which has over 20 items. It is also a BYOB and they provide glasses for whatever you bring.

Yelp
Happened to be in the Northeast- and stumbled upon this place. The clean, new decor grabbed my intention so I was curious and decided to grab some lunch. The staff was friendly and the service was great. The hot food/cold food buffet had plenty of options- and the grilled meats were scrumptious. They offer typical Brazilian "all you can eat" option or pay by the pound. I picked everything that I wanted and got a few slices of meat! That was the BEST $15 lunch I've had in ages! Definitely plan to come back and bring friends. Note- it's a BYOB.

Yelp
I've been wanting to hit this place for quite some time, a Brazilian steakhouse that's half the price of Fogo, absolutely! Friend and I decided to trek from Jersey into Northeast Philly on a Thursday night to take advantage of the $20 ayce. If you've ever been to the more extravagant Brazilian steakhouses such as Fogo or Chima, it's a stark difference in presentation but if you're there for the food then it doesn't matter all that much. You get seated, take you drink orders and you're off to the hot and cold bar. The hot bar has a great selection of rice, fishes, wings, etc. For the price it's more than plentiful. The server will come by and serve an assortment of meats, everything was great, especially the sirloin which I had at least four servings of. At the end of the meal, the hostess offered us complimentary coffee. Overall, for the price, this was a great value. I look forward to making the trek into NE philly to take advantage of this deal again.

Yelp
Garlic beef is amazing! I came here for all you can eat lunch on a Monday and even though it's a small place and a small selection of meat but it's worth the price of $20/person. Let the waitress know that you're there for buffet then you can start picking up the hot food bar or the salad bar. The meat will be brought to you slowly, so don't worry.
google avatar

Khoa L.

Yelp
This place is an awesome option when you're craving for Brazilian steaks. I think it's really cool that there are both AYCE and regular dining options, even takeouts. For AYCE, it's $20/person during weekdays, $25 Friday-Sunday. For regular dining options, it's by weight so you can ask for whatever meat you'd like and add vegetables etc for $8/lb during weekdays. The chef will cut the meat at your table for AYCE. Overall there are about 6-7 different options you can get. My favorites are the garlic beef and chicken hearts. The garlic beef in particular is very crunchy, flavorful and melts in your mouth. That would be my number one choice for takeouts and regular dining.

Yelp
Incredible food! Must try this place, good for families and dates! I went in with a party of 11 and had a reservation. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting what meats were tasty and the best to try. The waiters walked around with huge slabs of meat that we could cut off and the steaks were so flavorful and tasty. They also had a salad bar with all types of salads, potato, cole slaw, more meat, chicken and fish. This place is also BYOB which is always a plus. We went during restaurant week and got all the food for such a low price. The food was literally so much that I felt like I couldn't move after I was done eating. I thank God I was wearing stretchy pants because I know my stomach was expanding. This is a type of place, I wont feel guilty eating like a beast because the food is cooked to perfection and its all prepared fresh and you can tell it wasnt just sitting around for long hours. The dessert is a lso a must have, I had the chocolate cake! and it was so MOIST! My family had the flan, chocolate flan and some type of custard. Everyone was happy with the restaurant my sister picked and we all walked out needing to maybe hit the gym every day the rest of the week, due to how much food we consumed.

Yelp
Wonderfully prepared Brazilian barbecue and side dishes. Make sure to get some rice, beans, and farofa. Timely, friendly, and unobtrusive staff. Great decorations. Looking forward to going again the next time I'm in Philly.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and ambience! I would say this ranks the highest between the 2 major chains in value. Only stopping this from getting five stars is that the other major chains have slightly better meats.

Jenniffer B.

Yelp
Apparently there are new owners however the prices went up drastically. The food also tastes different, will not be returning.

Yelp
If you like Brazilian steakhouses than this place is definitely a place to check out. The food is always packed with flavor & they usually have a great, diverse selection of sides to choose from. Every time I go I do the "all you can eat" option because I don't want to miss out on a thing! It's very much in the same style as any other Brazilian steakhouse, like Chima or Fogo but it's more quaint & cozy. It was definitely a go to for a long while for date nights! The service is always top tier. The waiters who take your order & the people who bring the meat to your table are always so attentive & friendly. This used to be one of my favorite spots to go, my girlfriend would ask to go here multiple times a week. She absolutely loved this placed! Preferred it over Fogo de Chao. It was a cause for debate in our house lol. But the last few times have been a little disappointing so we've gone less. The meats have been over cooked, we ask for medium rare or medium it comes almost well done, the cheese I loved to eat from the self service food bar has been missing & the prices have skyrocketed. It used to be $25 for a weekday, $30 for a weekend. Then that changed to $30 & 40. Now, for the two of us, it's almost $100, which is similar to going to Chima or Fogo. I'll keep going every now & then because I live in the area & always leave full, but it just hasn't been the same in the last 2 years. I know the prices of goods have changed dramatically since covid so I understand the changes in pricing, but the quality of the food has remained the same & that should be applauded. They are definitely a great place for a date or a family meal. I would recommend checking this place out if you're in the area & want to eat a lot of well seasoned meat & awesome sides! I've told all my friends & family to go here since the first time I ate here & everybody who has gone has liked Broncos as much as I did.

Yelp
We found this place on yelp. Clean steak house with very friendly service. We tried at least 5 different steak cuts, paired it with the salad bar and plenty of veggies to add. 4 people at for 80.00, not bad for Christmas Eve dinner. Found out at the last minute it's BYOB! Perfect date night place, or just enjoying family. We will definitely come again. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the staff were following my children around which was weird, but they're teenagers and handled it well.
google avatar

Andy Hai D.

Yelp
Great, affordable Brazilian steakhouse. Awesome customer service. Staff is very attentive to diners and will make sure you get a wonderful dining experience here. The meat selections are plenty to pick from if you choose the buffet option. The hot and salad buffet bars are also great with some excellent items. Will recommend this gem in Philly to my fellow traveling friends and definitely be back next time I'll be in town!!!

Yelp
Took all of the special ladies in my life here for Mother's Day. I wanted so badly to love this place after seeing the reviews. That was not the case. I made reservations for 1:30pm. After arriving at 1:30pm, I was told it would be 10-15 minute wait. That defeats the purpose of reservations. However, it was Mother's Day and they were noticeably busy. No big deal. We waited patiently. We were seated and immediately went to the salad bar. The salad bar was tasty. Salmon at the salad bar was delicious. They had a variety of salads - potato, pasta, and a few others. I filled up on the salad bar after tasting the meats. The meats were absolutely awful. They were dry and tasteless. The only think that I could taste was the charcoal. Many of the meats were tough. Terribly disappointing. Service was good. Our server was nice. The service and the salad bar make up for the two stars here.
google avatar

Ling C.

Yelp
I chose all you can eat with well done meat. Ribeye - very dry. Top sirloin- dry but the second and 3rd round of this had more flavor and wasn't as dry. Brisket- very dry. Garlic steak - only one we got consistently, good flavor not dry, but very thick to bite through. Sausage - actually tasted like coffee most of the time, but was juicy, would get again. Roasted pineapple- great taste loved it, has cinnamon all over. Price was ~ $60 for 2 people. Saladbar was very good for the most part, loved the mango salad. I was full when I left but felt like I missed a bunch of meat, left unsatisfied but full. Somethings still missing from this place.
google avatar

Veronica D.

Yelp
Good food, but we have a surprise on our check! Don't trust the website! The price are higher! There is no menu price for beverages and dessert!
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Me and my fiancé went here because of the great reviews. We walked in and were greeted by high school girls who laughed in our faces and didn't know what they were doing. When we're asked for a table for two the were confused what I was asking for. We told them it was our first time there. The girl who seated us didn't know anything about the place and needed someone else to give us directions. When we finally got directions to go up and serve ourselves, in a STEAKHOUSE... there was about 5 meats to choose from for $34. Safe to say we didn't eat there.
google avatar

Judie D.

Yelp
Excellent place. During COVID and before my son would stop here and bring dinner home. Their meat choices are unbelievable. You can cut into the meat with just a fork, that's how soft they get it and the outside is crisp and dripping in the most delicious sauces ever. I had never had Brazilian food prior to this place, but certainly love it now. I'm stating DON'T hesitate choosing this place for lunch/dinner. The food is amazing. We've had maybe 6 different meals from here so far and all of them have been what I'd call exceptional. I'm almost positive they also do dine in, since they aren't close to our residence take out has been best for us. But either way I'm whole heartedly recommending this restaurant. ENJOY.....
google avatar

Felix R.

Yelp
Great food and good service. I must place to eat if you like Brazilian food. The staff was friendly and made good recommendations.

Karen D.

Yelp
Once again another night of great food. I can not say enough about this neighborhood gem. The meats are unbelievable tasty. I celebrated my children's birthday's, graduations and just life at Broncos and all I can say is the next day I want to go back ..The food the employees and the atmosphere will want you to go back. Love this place. Hope to be back soon.

Yelp
A fun, cultural experience for a casual family outing. Pros: The food - whether you just stick to the "salad" bar or go for the more pricey meat option - is absolutely delicious and was clearly made with great care. The "salad" bar is more than enough to fill you up and satisfy you - there are plenty of decadent meat/sides that will not leave you wishing for more. Cons: The setup is a little lacking - just a collection of tables and chairs, seating is limited. The location is not great - even though it is technically in Philadelphia you will be driving a good half an hour out of the city and into a less welcoming part of town. The service is not exactly a well-oiled machine - the staff accidentally sat another party at our table while we were up getting our food. Definitely could be more polished but they were friendly and attentive, just disorganized. TLDR: Come for the delicious, authentic food and friendly service; tolerate the less than ideal setup.

Yelp
My in-laws recently discovered the world of Brazilian steakhouses outside of the fancy big names like Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil. My mother in law discovered this place not far from where they just moved and when we visited it was one place that we had to go check out. First we were greeted by a really friendly hostess/waitress who explained to us how it worked here. The set up is similar to Fogo de Chao which is what I've had experience with where they have a salad and sides bar and you get double sided red/green cards for unlimited meat. I don't really remember the prices, but I do remember that you get options like just getting the salad bar, getting charged by the pound or just getting the unlimited meat and salad bar option. I think they have a pretty good amount of options for the hot bar as well as the cold bar. I thought all the hot bar items went well with the meat and the fruit was refreshing to have after a lot of meat. The meat selection was pretty good with sausages, chicken wings, sirloin, other beef cuts I'm not too familiar with and lamb. I really liked the sirloin as it had good flavor and it was really tender. I think the one thing that could be done better, but makes sense that it is this way is that they ask how you want your meat to be cooked. My husband and I asked for medium rare to medium and my in-laws asked for well done. Most of the meat that we got was closer to well done. Like I said though since it's not meat that's personally cooked for only you I can see how it's not realistic to get exactly what you asked for. My husband and I also checked in on Yelp and therefore received the check in deal which is a free Brazilian coffee. We got it at the end and it was really delicious. It's topped with a thick layer of a sweet cream and garnished with some chocolate shavings. The coffee was really delicious and creamy and mixed with the cream it was divine. If you are on Yelp and visit here I would definitely take advantage of this check in deal. I think this will be a nice treat when we visit our in-laws and will probably take advantage of how close it is.
google avatar

Erin L.

Yelp
My husband's favorite spot for all you can eat steaks that don't break your budget! I love all the tasty appetizers and delicious desserts (desserts are not included in what you pay for the all-you-can-eat) There's also a per pound option if you're on a diet but seriously, why would you? in this place?!
google avatar

Alexis M.

Yelp
Plenty of sides and the meat and the flavors are exquisite! The cold salads are just ok could be better .Well worth the money in comparison to Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, I kinda like this place better , it's more personable , less traffic without the chaos of center city. The manager even came out to spoke with us very nice lady . Go try it out. . My fiancée & I will return soon

Yelp
Amazing tasting steak my fist time in a Brazilian Steakhouse. The natural lemonade is to die for!

Yelp
Broncos is my absolute favorite place to dine at. I go here at LEAST once a week. You can tell from the moment you walk in that this Brazilian Steakhouse takes pride in their establishment. Everyone is very welcoming, the atmosphere is cozy and elegant, and the service is excellent. Simply put, the food here is exceptional. The salad bar features home-made, always fresh, incredibly delicious dishes. The meats, being my favorite part and the reason I go here frequently, are just perfect. They have a wonderful selection! I can't recommend this place enough. This is an amazing spot for anyone looking for delicious, all you can eat superb meats, cooked to perfection by admirably skilled chefs, and serviced by the friendliest staff. This is also a great Keto-Friendly place to regularly eat at. I highly recommend trying their coffee while you're here.

Justin J.

Yelp
If you're looking for the upscale, servers in fancy attire experience you get from fogo or Texas de Brazil, you won't find that here. What you will find is perfectly cooked and seasoned meat, quick service and awesome people. Cheaper, but better.
google avatar

Letícia M.

Yelp
I love Broncos! I was so happy to see a Brazilian steakhouse open up nearby. Same quality meats as the center city Brazilian steakhouses, but way less expensive! There's a wide variety of food options at the salad bar and anything I've ever eaten from there was simply delicious. Not to mention the meats....soooooo good! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for tasty Brazilian food at an affordable price.
google avatar

Chunnie S.

Yelp
My sister had an event here for her daughter's first birthday! This place is amazing! Great staff, great food! Their hot bar and cold bar was delicious so many different varieties of food.

Fernando F.

Yelp
It was a nice experience, very attentive staff as they come by and ask when you turn your green sticker forward for more food. Everything was nicely seasoned and cooked as far as the different meats go. However, I believe there should be more options for the sides as it was rather costly for the amount of options available and the options there weren't the best.
google avatar

Kat H.

Yelp
Out group of 5 went here for the first time last night! Theres ample parking in front of the restaurant & we were sat down immediately! The waitress was very nice & tended to our needs at all times! The salad bar was amazing and had so much variety! The rice and black beans were my favorite! Along with the bread with cheese inside & the shrimp Alfredo. So delicious. The reason we gave 4 stars was because some of the meats we were served were a little dry & over cooked! Other than that everything was super good!
google avatar

Tash M.

Yelp
Food here is so good, for such a good price! I took off one star because the pricing wasn't 100% clear, at least not to me. I didn't know I could go back up for more even if I didn't choose buffet, because I definitely would've! The meats were cooked perfectly! I tried the passion fruit juice they have, not too bad. The sides were ok, I only liked about 1/2 of them, but I could be picky.

Wilson Yat Ming W.

Yelp
First time here and like this place already. Staffes are friendly, food is good and the best is BYOB
google avatar

Aimy A.

Yelp
I have been here twice already. Once during a weekday and once on a Saturday. There are more different choices on the weekend which makes sense since it is busier and it cost more but Monday-Thursday they have all you can eat special for $20. We still had a good amount of choices on a weekday just no filet. Both times the staff have been exceptional. Definitely very friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Lea D.

Yelp
Loved the entire experience. Friendly staff, clean table ware. Amazing side dishes (only wish there were info cards so I knew what everything was). And the meat was absolutely out of this world and cooked to perfection. That BRISKET!!! Price was $20/head in a Monday. Not bad at all!!!!
google avatar

Bruce S.

Yelp
This place is a carnivores dream! The wait staff is very polite and friendly and the restaurant is very clean. The salad bar is just right for something before you start the meat onslaught of brisket, tenderloin, sausage, roast beef and all done to your liking. It's a small restaurant not like the other Goliaths not as many cuts of meat but done right none the less. Definitely a another visit is in the future.

Yelp
Loved it here. The staff is SO polite, the ambient is so relaxed & cozy, The meat was great and they had a nice variety! O Plus it looks and feels clean, that's important too. The pineapple with cinnamon seems to be precious in this place so don't forget to try that if you stop by! Obrigada Broncos ;)

Yelp
Omg wandered into this place for lunch today and was delighted. All the meat is ridiculously good and grilled over fire. You can try a little of each. Was very pleased by the salad bar and vegetable options. So fresh and delicious. Gonna head back here.
