I stopped by this spot on a whim, primarily drawn in by the enticing name—after all, I’ve always loved Sandos on the East Coast, and they're a bit harder to come by out here. The atmosphere is charming and has a distinct Californian vibe that adds to the experience.
However, my visit was slightly marred by the demeanor of the gentleman at the register, who came across as quite stern; he might be better suited for back-of-house duties than front-of-house interactions.
On the bright side, the pricing for the sandwiches was reasonable, though I found the portion size of the fries a bit disappointing—definitely opt for the house-made chips instead; they're a much better choice!
As for the food, the pastrami sandwich was flavorful and utterly delicious—it certainly didn't disappoint. The tuna sandwich, while more typical, featured fresh bread that elevated the overall experience.
Overall, it’s a cute spot worth visiting, just be prepared for a no-frills interaction at the counter!
