Brooklands

"The Peninsula’s rooftop restaurant is a celebration of the world of speed; it’s named after the famous Surrey racetrack and a scale model of Concorde hangs from its ceiling. When it comes to the kitchen brigade, it’s clear there’s a high level of skill on board, as the team was assembled under the aegis of Claude Bosi. Expect finely detailed, exquisite cooking that showcases the best British ingredients, like Lake District lamb and Cornish squid, in delicate yet rewarding dishes. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto a fantastic terrace." - Michelin Inspector

Grabriele and Ufuk are absolutely the best cocktail makers you can meet. Not only they are incredible at the service, their cocktails are masterpieces. Ask for Gabriele to make you the penicillin and for Ufuk for anything else. They definitely can make your evening great!

My parents stayed at The Peninsula Hotel and we decided to visit the bar at night for a little treat. We were in for a great surprise upon discovering the unique theme at Brooklands Bar. The concept, inspired by engineering and vehicles, particularly the iconic Concorde, was fascinating. The lift leading up to the bar had a hot air balloon theme, complete with sound effects that mimicked the balloon’s ascent—such a clever touch! The manager kindly assisted us in securing our reserved table, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The spacious bar offered stunning views of London by night, which made the experience even more special. We also had a look at the Cigar room, which had a cool and inviting vibe. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and the small bites served were a great addition to our evening. Overall, it was a fantastic night out, and I highly recommend Brooklands Bar for anyone looking to enjoy great drinks, a unique theme, and an amazing view of London!

My recent experience at Brooklands Fine Cocktail Bar was nothing short of spectacular 🇬🇧 The breathtaking views of London’s skyline, from The Shard to the London Eye, provided a stunning backdrop for an evening of sophisticated cocktails 🍸 The bar’s innovative menu has a range of creative and delicious concoctions, each with its own unique personality. While all of the conceptual cocktails were exceptional, three in particular stood out for me: - Silver Stream: This tropical-inspired cocktail was a perfect blend of rum, pear, coconut, honey, and lemon, resulting in a silky and refined flavour profile. - First Class Fizz: This elegant and sophisticated drink celebrated heritage with an aromatic and sparkling finish, featuring a beautiful blend of Marsala, dry apricot, and Champagne. - Earl Grey: This classic cocktail was given a modern twist, incorporating Earl Grey tea to create a refreshing and invigorating beverage. I will be back for sure to this bar, especially as Spring and Summer arrive, making it an iconic rooftop bar in London 🇬🇧

Stunning interior and great atmosphere. The theme of engineering throughout, the cocktail menu with a nod to Concorde is also fun. Top notch cocktails and prices to match. Service however was not great. We felt like we were bothering the staff by asking questions, weren’t served any water and provided olives and bitings after being seated for >20 minutes. Beer and a cocktail, ~£42.

Well deserved the high ratings here. Not only the brand name. But that rooftop is one of the unique qualities. You will feel it from the elevator to the top. You feel your self in hot air balloon. To the old kind of plain and vintage global brands vehicles. Was literally outstanding.

I do not want to spoil it for you so I won’t talk about the lobby or the elevators but you understand the high prices when you see the interior. Everything is themed, excessive, and carefully selected. So enjoy the museum tour while you make your way to the top of the Peninsula. I did not eat there and came only for a coffee once and twice for drinks. Everything is how you would expect it to be - the service, the selection of cocktails and fine wines. I won’t talk about prices - they are high but fair. What sets this bar apart from other hotels in this range is the interior and the view. Check my video. I won’t spoil the interior for you; it needs to be experienced.

Went for a glass of wine as a hotel guest. The best tables are given to non hotel guests. They promote the view. Frankly nothing that special. They allow dogs. Worst issue was either poorly trained staff or service trickery. Hard to know. Wine on list was changed. They serve as if you are getting what's listed. Server had no idea what it meant to show the vintage. This is the Peninsula??? 5 star hotel??? A subsequent chat with a local bartender at another luxury hotel, said they went here once and wouldn't return. Buyer beware.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing some of the finest bars in London, from the impeccable service at The Connaught and The Berkeley to the elegance of The Lanesborough. I have also had the privilege of staying at The Peninsula in Paris, a property that sets high expectations. Unfortunately, the bar service at The Peninsula fell far below that standard. The staff were not only inattentive but also surprisingly rude and unprofessional—an experience completely at odds with what one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. It was deeply disappointing, particularly given the exceptional hospitality I have received elsewhere.
