It's not often we go to a museum at opening tome and are the last to leave after closing. What a brilliant museum. Incredible hands on experiences and the staff are all fully enthusiastic about their displays and have interesting information to add. Especially folks that were there that worked on the Concord, as flight crew and engineers. Incredible to see the original race track too, and race around it on the F1 simulator. Nice to get up close to the Harrier Jump Jet too. All in all, a day worth doing.

We had a gift experience voucher given to us and we went today, we had a great time looking at so many different types of transport, brought back some memories for us. We also did the Concorde experience which was very good. All the staff and volunteers were amazing. Highly recommended.

Great museum. For some reason I've always put off coming here but I finally made the journey! The museum is very well set out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the museum was very accommodating for parents with prams. There seemed to be huge numbers of parents with toddlers and baby's which is rare at a lot of museums likes these. There were suitable lifts to get upstairs and plenty of space. The only negative I would raise is that in certain area things are packed in a little too tight with interactive displays or the lighting is poor. I've noticed this a lot in the bigger corporate run aviation museums where for some reason it's impossible to get a good look at the planes or its too dark for a picture. Sometimes it's almost like they don't want you to get a good view of the exhibits but I presume it is more likely because they squeeze as much in as they can or they're overzealous on the various props, interactive displays etc which distract from the main exhibits and stops you from being able to take in the full thing. Nevertheless a great day out and a very pleasant one with our 9 week old son, his first visit to see some planes. Im sure we'll be back in a few years time when he's grown up a bit!

Historic motor racing and aviation venue with a collection of vintage aircraft, cars and motorcycles. Walking around the site, the traditional buildings give the feel that you're really visiting the circuit in its racing heyday, even though the famous banked circuit hasn't been in use since 1939, when the site was requisitioned by the government to contribute to the war effort. Exhibits focus on different periods in the venue's history, with some showcasing vintage cars, others motorcycles, while the grounds and hangars feature a wide range of aircraft, from the pioneers of flight to the Concorde. An educational exhibit focuses on aerospace engineering, with interactive displays and lots of information to read. The London Bus Museum showcases public service vehicles from the city's past. There's a huge amount of free parking, well managed when events are taking place. Facilities include a café, gift shop and toilets near the entrance. When events take place there are usually additional food and drinks stalls to cater for the increased visitor numbers. Tickets aren't cheap, at £25.30 as of May 2025 when I visited. That said, there's a full day out to be enjoyed at Brooklands. It's advisable to purchase tickets online in advance to benefit from a slight reduction in price.

Excellent place to visit the old era aircraft hanger. Biggest attraction was old Concorde. You need advance booking. The guided tour offers fascinating insights into the history of aviation and the engineering marvels of the past. Visitors can also explore various exhibits showcasing vintage aircraft and their stories. Don't forget to check the schedule for special events, as they often feature guest speakers from the aviation industry. A trip to the hanger promises a nostalgic experience for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.

Really good, the home of early British motorsport and pioneering aviation. Much more too and the food and prices in the Sunbeam Cafe were excellent. We didn't get to see everything and decided to take out membership which allows you unlimited visits including to special events for no extra cost.

Our visit has been amazing! Lovely museum with lots of interesting vehicles to see, great descriptions and displays. The volunteers make such a difference in making the experience even more entertaining telling us stories and showing us interactive activities.

A wonderfully spent Saturday. Although the main purpose of the visit was the Concorde experience (which met all my expectations), we came across an Italian event and were able to see the most magnificent Italian cars up close. Both old and new makes and models made a big impression. I recommend it to all lovers of planes and motoring. We will definitely come back this year.

Yelp
The Brooklands Museum was so much more than I expected. I haven't been in years and don't remember much being there but now they have a 'Concorde Experience' (a 30 min guided tour, for an extra £5), a 4D simulator (including red arrows, also an extra cost), a formula 1 simulator, the London Bus Museum (I lurve buses so this was exciting for me and I think the collection is just as good as London Transport Museum, and it's bigger) and, soon, a new hangar for a massive aeroplane production exhibition. Outdoor planes includes the VC10 which is worth the entrance price along for its hilarious velvet toilet. I was also surprised to see a pretty extensive bicycle collection, and of course the old cars are plentiful given this was the first purpose built motor racing/testing track in the world, before it became one of the biggest plane factories. The docents are brilliant - there's loads of them and they are all really friendly and knowledgeable. It really enhances the experience. Was sorry to read that another visitor had a hard time with a volunteer being mean to his 3 year old, fwiw there were some slightly older children (maybe 5 - 6) on my Concorde tour that the guide made a particular fuss of, making sure they had a great time, and I didn't see any signs of children being anything but welcome in the whole place, so hopefully that's a one off and I hope that poor child has recovered! There's a cafe doing hot food and a special Brooklands ale my bf described as 'excellent' which is pretty rare from him so give that a try! With Mercedes Benz World just around the corner, this is totally worth the trip out from London - Brooklands alone will take up half a day.

Yelp
Took my 3 year old car-loving son here in the afternoon. Be aware that there is a lot of walking outside so don't forget jackets, scarves, etc to keep warm. My first impression was that it looks like an old junkyard where broken down cars & airplanes get stripped for scraps. Even the inside of each airplane looks a bit like a rummage sale - but hey, if you're looking to visit the museum AND buy a used "Girl Interrupted" DVD then this place fits the bill. Overall volunteers were very nice and informative. Some didn't seem too happy to be dealing with curious little kids who will try to get into everything but I really can't fault a volunteer for not having an infinite amount of patience. My son was very excited to be able to climb into the old double decker buses and a few race cars. These were the highlights for him. That and the gift shop of course. Haha. They also have a hands-on learning room for kids that looks like something circa 1945. Each demonstration was broken and dirty. They would be better off cleaning the whole room out and have an area to let the kids hang out and play. We paid the extra £5 to go on the Concorde tour. Be aware that it starts with a 15 minute lecture on a stationed bus then you move to another 10-15 minute lecture while standing underneath the airplane. Finally you are able to board the plane. Unfortunately my little guy was completely done with it by the time we got in so we left at that point without really getting to see too much inside. Overall a fun time for my kid with the added bonus that it's located next to the Mercedes Benz racetrack which looked like something fun for mommy & daddy.

Yelp
More often than not, when a museum (or anything for that matter) tries to take on two subject matters the usually fail at both. Brooklands is the rare exception. Their aircraft and car collections are both very impressive. There's a great juxtaposition of old and new even with the location - it's in the middle of an old race test track and next to the state-of-the-art Mercedes test track. The fact that they have a Concorde is worth the price of admission as there aren't many left that one can actually go inside. The one they have at Brooklands is a prototype similar to the one at the excellent Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton. They do an interactive flight experience which is fun but just a bit cheesy. They play Queen's Don't Stop Me Now during the show which, at first glance, appears to be a great choice of song, what with all the 'supersonic' referencesbut I don't think they listened to the rest of the song; Im burning through the sky collision course - yeahhhh, need to rethink that a bit. Anyway, tangent. There's a nice balance of static displays and museum environment for both the cars and planes, with a good selection of rare pieces in both. They need to do a bit of a tidy up in some areas but the whole place is well staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who will sit and chat for ages if you give them half the chance. If you have even a passing interest in planes or cars, I'd definitely suggest a visit.

Yelp
Some great cars, and a chance to see the original banking, a selection of motor bikes, and as mentioned elsewhere the planes. Best to include a visit to Mercedes next door at the same time.

Yelp
Great museum for commercial aviation enthusiasts. You can board the Concorde, Bac-111, VC-10 and Vickers Viscount. Staff is super friendly and informative. Can't wait to go back on my next trip to London

Yelp
This is a large site with collections of aircraft and csrs and some cycles and ogher things. There are several indoor exhibitions some of shich are more like stores than museums and some are too crowded. They have a Concorde, a rare site and on thd dsy I visited there were a lot of old cars driven around which added interest. There is lots to see on site so allow the whole day. Displays vary from good to tired. Worgh a visit but it has not reached full potential.

Yelp
Overall we had a great day, the majority of the volunteers interacted amazingly with our three year old, who has a massive interest is cars and planes. However our day was ruined by one volunteer on the Concorde exhibit who from the moment the tour began made it abundantly clear he didn't think young children should visit. At every opportunity he would stop the tour, give us a cold hard look and disapproving glances. Whilst my son was asking his mum a question he then suddenly screamed at my sons mum to get off the tour and to take our son with her. She suggested we sit the initial tour out and rejoin the group once the tour of Concorde began. He continued to scream at her and my son to get off the tour, then proceeded to make sarcastic and condescending remarks at both of them. We were left with a now screaming and traumatised three year old who had been waiting weeks to visit Concorde. The experience has left him shaken and unfortunately the attitude and utter unprofessionalism of one volunteer has ensured we won't be visiting or recommending this place to anyone.
