Today was my 2nd time visiting BB for the sauna and my 1st time trying their massage services (I got the Athlete's Massage). Due to a website glitch, my appt was double booked, but the General Manager was extremely apologetic about the error and made sure I was taken care of as soon as possible. Everything worked out, and I appreciated that I wasn't sent away; just a little delayed. The massage itself was intense (in a good way... lots of knots lol), calm, and thorough from head to toe. There were check ins on pressure being applied and brief instructions when I was going to be moved for deep stretches, so communication was on point. For the inconvenience, I was offered a huge cup of green tea to enjoy after my session, compliments of BB, which added to the therapeutic experience🙏🏾 It's worth noting that all massage and scrub services come with a Day-Pass, so you can hit the sauna and detox before and/or after your session. I opted to hit the rooms and pools afterward, to further purify myself from all the toxins that were released into body from my muscles lol The women's locker was well kept with a pair of shower stalls, toilets, and a bevy of toiletries like cotton rounds, make-up remover, face toner, lotion, hair ties, disposable razors, and q-tips. You get an assigned locker with a key to secure personal items, and you keep/wear it on a wristband during your visit. The front of house and facility staff from start to finish made me feel comfortable, and provided extra clean towels and another robe when requested (someone accidentally took mine while I was in the steam room - whoops). I did "sweat therapy" for about 3 hours and found the other guests to be really friendly, making sure to scoot over and create space for 1 more if the sauna room/pool I stepped into was crowded (which wasn't too often). BB is still pretty new to the neighborhood (maybe 1 year?), and I'm new to the bathhouse life, but all-in-all, I enjoyed the accommodations and look forward to coming back. It's nice knowing there's a mini oasis nearby to pop into for a couple hours to sweat it out and relax. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try!

I’m so happy this is in the neighborhood! I’m a restaurant manager, long distance runner, and rock climber … so it almost goes without saying that my body is in constant need of recovery & nervous system in need of a reset. On nights that I leave work early, stopping here before home is such a good decision! The staff are friendly and helpful. The locker room is vibrant, clean, and well stocked. The pools are comfortable. The saunas compact and mighty. Super chill downtempo energy (much preferred over some of the more vibey spots) which was perfect for the night. Can I give BB six stars?

An absolute gem in the community! I came to The Brooklyn Bathhouse not knowing what to expect, especially since it was my first time at a bathhouse — but the experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff were incredibly welcoming and took the time to give me a full tour, explaining everything in detail so I felt totally comfortable. The amenities were top-tier, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I’ll definitely be back!

the massage and bathhouse is at Brooklyn bathhouse is WONDERFUL. Not crowded. A diverse group of literally 3 other people here, 2 I saw in the locker room and one other guy using facilities. very affordable, long hours all week, and a block off the parkside Q train. This was a Wednesday night but we will be back.

Was really impressed with our first visit to the bathhouse. The facilities were quiet and very clean. They had everything you want in a small but comfortable space. It wasn't overly crowded. All in all a relaxing, pleasant experience. The price is excellent. For $50, we spent about two hours soaking, schvitzing, using the cold plunge, and took a nice shower.

Dry sauna and wet sauna were awesome. Heat rises so if anyone is complaining that the temp isn't high enough in those rooms needs to sit on the top row! The steam room was nice but did have a bit of an odor, which is not uncommon in a wet room. I still used it as it wasn't overwhelming at all (tho maybe some incense or something would help for more sensitive patrons). Showers and pools were nice. Massage by Ari was great as well, very attentive. Front staff was friendly. There were some teenagers in the pool area that were excessively loud- I don't mind talking but laughing so loud it echoes in the saunas when you're trying to relax is annoying. I talked to them but wish there quiet area signs and that the staff enforced it. Then again, this is a bathhouse not a spa so maybe the rules are different and I was out of line? Please let me know! Nice little spot in neighborhood overall for a good soak and steam. Will go back. 👍

I passed by the location and was curious about the business since I love bathhouse and spa experiences and frequent other places. There was a woman standing in front of the door as if guarding it. When I walked in she sat down but there was no greeting. The receptionist was on the phone and at first did not make eye contact when we entered (not necessarily a big deal) but when she looked over and as her gaze lingered she appeared irritated and bothered. The energy both women gave made me feel uncomfortable and did not inspire me to want to stay and ask more questions about the space but maybe it was an off day. The staff being warm and welcoming upon entry is important since these spaces are meant to be stress free environments built around the ideas of rest, relaxation, and self-care.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. All of the pools were the perfect temperature and the saunas and steam room were wonderful. When we got there we were told the cafe was under renovation, which we wish would have been on the website. Since there are 3 baths and 3 saunas/steam rooms, it would have been nice to be able to go to the cafe to break up the day. As another person said, the space is perfect for about 2-3 hours, and since the day pass is 4 hours, having the cafe is perfect for the extra hour. The construction was also pretty loud when it started, but thankfully it didn’t start until we were about 30 minutes from leaving. We will definitely be back once the cafe is open again, but when we asked, we were told they were unsure how long it would be closed for.

Yelp
Great experience overall. Brooklyn Bathhouse fulfills all the things one expects from a modern bath house at a really great price. Everything was extremely clean and working as expected. I didn't get to try the pizza at the cafe upstairs, but have been missing Zurilee pizza for a long time so will be back for it!
