Brooklyn Cyclones

This is about sustainability! By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. For a baseball stadium directly next to the ocean, it feels especially egregious to create this much plastic waste during the span of one game. I was appalled to see every trashcan brimming with plastic trash, and every persons carrying it! And there wasn’t even a recycling can insight. Which would not necessarily absolve you of anything, as over 95% of the plastic we recycle does not actually get recycled, but rather end up in a landfill, incinerator, waterway. Surely your stadium concessions could at least switch to aluminum banned water? And have proper recycling in place? Or promote folks bringing their own reusable bottle? But this feels totally unacceptable to normalize and perpetuate. Help keep Coney Island and the Atlantic Ocean healthy and beautiful. Thank you for considering my concerns.

A wonderful place to spend a afternoon watching the Cyclones becoming Mets??? The wonderful view and smell of the ocean! Catch some sun to get your tan up. Before or after the game you can check out Coney Islands many restaurants,take a stroll on the beach and enjoy your day with your family and friends.

Loved my visit to the Brooklyn Cyclones stadium! 🧢 The space is big, clean, and comfortable — great seating with a perfect view from every angle. The screen quality is excellent, making the experience even more enjoyable. Perfect spot for a fun and energetic baseball day!

Great ballpark - not a bad seat in the house. Beautiful views. Easy in and out. Parking was a breeze however their credit card machine wasn't working. Luckily I had cash to pay the $13 parking fee.

We went to Irish Night at Maimonedes Park to see the Cyclones. It was a well mananged ballpark with good people all around. Food was affordable and seating was nice. We were in a luxury box with a lot of perks, but walked around and saw that any seat would have been a fun experience. Being next to the Coney Island Boardwalk is a pleasure, as its a great place to visit in the summer with a nice beach and a lot of history. Yes, I had a Nathans frank.

We’d love the atmosphere we love the venue. We love the fact that you can get there after visiting the Cyclone’s… everything about this baseball venue is quite amazing!! I highly recommend experiencing the single A baseball that you will never forget! ⚾️ P.s. Ticket prices are well worth it !!!

Had a nice time at this ballpark in the middle of the Coney Island amusement park. It was a midday game with a STEM theme so lots of noisy kids in attendance but that made for a cheerful atmosphere on what was otherwise an overcast foggy/smoggy day that unfortunately obscured what I imagine is usually a much better view over the outfield!

Such a family and dog friendly baseball stadium. I came on bark in the park night where you can bring your dog and it was alot of fun. Every seat has a great view and the backdrop of Coney Island rollercoasters is very cool. They gave free swag including a baseball cap and a doggy backpack. Tickets are very affordable. Beer and drinks are a bit pricey but that’s every stadium nowadays. Let’s go Cyclones!

Came here with the kids as a guest from a companies event. This is a beautiful ball park with amazing background views of Coney Island. The view is amazing no matter where you are sitting. There is entertainment and participating games throughout the game. Staff is super welcoming. We got a free Brooklyn cyclone hat on the day we came. Adults and children had a great time. Food is ok. It's your standard ball park food. The company I came with had a private VIP area where our food was served buffet style. Overall, the kids and I enjoyed ourselves. It was a great game. An amazing, beautiful night was had. There is an inexpensive parking lot right next to the ball park. I will definitely be returning with the kids.

Normally this would be a 4*. With parking and food line this year, it was a bit insane. This is the Mets High-A affiliate minor league team, which is closest minor team for the Mets that you can attend without traveling too far. Cons: Parking It's very easy to get to via train though with the potential train issues this year, we opted to drive instead of 2 hour train ride. Parking is $13 during weekdays and $20 during weekend. On this day, the parking lot was used by beach goers so finding parking that was a bit challenging. Food Lines It took 1/2 hour to get a rueben sandwich and even longer for a hotdog. The line for the ice cream was literally from 7th inning to middle of 8th inning to finally get our ice cream. In all fairness, it wasn't really long innings but it wasn't quick innings. Pricing Bring your wallets since it's not as cheap as the seats Pros: Seating Where else can get you get great seats for moderate prices and it's close to the field. If you are anywhere in the stadium, make sure to watch the balls since we saw go over and heard it the cars. In between innings, lots of activities going on with the mascots (Sandy the seagull and Pee-wee, Sandy's adopted son), entertainer King Henry, cheerleaders BC Surf Squad. They have audience participation, t-shirt giveaways, and generally keeping the spirit up for the home team. If you never been, give it a try. It's nice field.

Have been to the Brooklyn Cyclones game a couple of times with friends to watch the game and catch up. Get here early to see the players during warm up and batting practice and catch some fly balls. Safety is important - during batting practice and the game, pay attention at all times as the balls do come flying across. During one game saw a guy holding a baby get hit with sitting in the first row past 3rd base section. Everyone was ok but scary. Games are fairly priced and they also have promotions, discounts etc. The Cyclones jersey was nice one year but have to get there early. Seating not as strict as the MLB parks... sit in your section/seat and can move around if seats are not occupied during the game. Not a very huge park so can easily walk around before the game to look around. Brookyln cyclones has 2 mascots - Sandy the Seagull and Pee-Wee, you may see either one or both appear at the games. Always a good time had with friends here. Looking forward to coming to future games.

I'll start with the cons because I just have a couple of those. Con: Expensive merchandise. $42 for a hat! Single A ball hat! Today was the Coney Island Franks and I wanted a hat dog, but not for $42. And food, decidedly nothing special. There are large plastic helmets at every food stand but those are not for sale. The ice cream is the only place to get a helmet, it's a small one, and the logo is TAPED ON. So the one-star deduction is for these cons. Pros: Well, besides the players. Very nice view, you can watch Coney Island rides going all night long. We had the Surf Squad up on the dugout leading us in cheers, which meant a very crowd-involved outing all night long. Every half-inning featured someone on the field, typical at this level, but the crowd engagement is something that I really haven't experienced in too many games, so I really appreciated that part. Thanks, Briana, and I hope your ankle heals! (She was the first surfer in front of us, we had a nice chat, she's a great fun person.) I guess another con is the netting is really tall and encircles the entire ballpark. You cannot get an unobstructed field view anywhere. But that's baseball's fault in general. I did get a couple of photos up against the netting (not during the game, that's not allowed ) and there were some nice ones of the mascot Sandy the Seagull! So that's a pro - cool mascot. The verdict: After my first time was a rainout, and I've now been on all four subway lines that get to Coney Island, I'm mainly not coming back because of how long it is to get here. But if I lived closer or had a monthly pass for the subway, sure, I'd be back. And steal a big plastic helmet. I didn't say that.

I've been to two Brooklyn Cyclones' games & I'm looking forward to going back sometime soon. Hopefully this season! The seats are not that expensive at all. Im pretty sure there's not a bad seat in the house either. Most of the staff at the stands are friendly. The price for food and beer is average ballpark. I highly recommend checking the Brooklyn Cyclones out for a night of family fun!

Great little minor league ballpark by the Boardwalk in Coney Island. Every game day Saturday they have a two hour open bar in the outfield picnic area for $50. Can't beat that on a sunny day.

Good value for money. Staff are nice. Convenient to bus subway area well policed. Players put in 100% effort rookie league for Mets MLB. Family orientated atmosphere at game. Concessions are over priced. The in between innings is ok hot dog race between ketchup and mustard etc etc is a bit overdone but when it takes up maybe 45 minutes of the time you re there it is no longer fun but grating. The store where the Cyclones sell their merchandise can be improved. Soon it will be going cashless. I have a debit card but what about hardworking people who do not? Recently divorced, working 3 minimum wage jobs. Forcing fans to do this shows imho a lack of respect for the fan as a person and not only a demographic. Im luckily not in that position but betcha 1/3 NYC residents are. Labeling merchandise in store with price ansd size of items show respsct. All this said I participateon blogs recommending NYC venues to tourists and the Cyclones are and will continue to be at the top of my list

On a warm summer's night it doesn't get much better than this. Brooklyn Cyclones is a great night out, the venue is kid friendly and the mascots and give aways are interactive and fun. The crowd is hype and so are the Cyclone staff. The Hot Dog races is a crowd pleaser. The energy is ridiculously on high. This stadium is convenient and within walking distance of the D/F/Q/N train. Parking is available like everywhere. I'm a baseball fan so this takes me back to why I love the game, this is the minor leaguers so there are no bells and whistles like Yankee stadium or Citifield instead it is a simple night out, without the hustle and bustle of MLB, food is moderately priced and the adult beverages are flowing. Clean stadium, spacious seating, and great views from any seat in the house. And this spot sits in the shadow of the oldest amusement park in the universe. Tickets are also moderately priced. Go.

MCU Park & the Brooklyn Cyclones = Summertime for us. For the past 3 years we've participated in their Mini Season Ticket Plan.. for less than $100 each we get to go to at least 5 baseball games and get coupons for free burgers & dogs. Such a good deal! The food throughout the park is a-ok. The games played between innings are as corny as you can imagine. Tickets for Friday & Saturdays get you a front row seat for fireworks following the game.. and that's always a treat. Oh and on top of that you get to view some of the most fascinating people in Brooklyn! Never a dull moment at MCU. My only minor gripe.. when you sign up for a mini season ticket plan the Cyclones give you a hat. Its great... the first year. Its our 3rd year and I've got 3 hats that are very similar in design. How about a t-shirt or something besides a hat?

It is that time of year again, Summertime for the play of the Yankees, Mets and of course, Brooklyn Cyclones. Finally headed back to back for two nights this past week and did enjoy myself. Minor league baseball had not really been on my priority list the past few years, but I wanted to check out a game and enjoy some of the scheduled giveaways. One night was Thor bobblehead with authentic like hair attached to it, The other night was Irish night so game jerseys were given out. To my surprise, the jerseys were given out by time I arrived but fun was had by all. Todd Frazier made a stop on Brooklyn for a rehab assignment so get to see an actual Major league ball player that close to you. The field seemed pretty cool and there was an overall fun atmosphere. Concession stands were cool, ordered a foot long Nathan's hot dog and it was about average price or at least the same price you would pay for Nathan's down the block. The choices for other food vendors has definitely gotten better over the years, some making their debut this season. Come on down to Coney Island and check out a Cyclones game at least once. This place definitely has my recommendation.

So today (8/21/22) I ventured to Brooklyn to see the Cyclones, what a mistake. First off it was my first Cyclones game. For those who do not know the Cyclones are the NY Mets Single A minor league team. They play right next to Luna Park. First the positive, easy enough game day parking for $7 right next to the stadium. Small stadium so every seat is fantastic which is great for small children. Lot of in between Inning events to keep fans entertained. Now the negatives, there are very long waits at the concession stands and concessions are not that cheap, $1-3 off big league costs for most items. If you have a stroller it takes a bit to get on the elevator. Now the reason I rate my experience a 1 star is because of Guest Relations. I went to guest relations with my 2 and 5 year old and asked if they do a 1st game certificate, answer was no fair enough. The young man at GR was white with prescription glasses. They where handing out comp hats and shirts to "groups" although not everyone who received one was part of any group. He then gives me a brochure that are free around the park, I rolled my eyes he called me out I then asked hey anything for kids of a first responder which I am and he just stared at me shaking his head. For a minor league team to not cater to two small children with a free hat or shirt is odd to me but what do I know?

This is an awesome stadium! So easy to get to on the F/D/N train and only a block or two's walk from the subway. Also, going out to Coney Island is always fun anyway! Once you're in the stadium, every view is a good view, and I love that there are so many freebies. I scored a great hat, although I have to say I am slightly perturbed by the BC logo on the hat. As a native New Yorker the logo bothers me because it looks a little too similar to the Boston RedSox logo. Maybe I just have a visceral gag reflex when I see the letter B on a baseball cap, who knows. I though the Cyclones played well overall and I would definitely recommend checking out a game if you are in the area. The Atlantic Ocean as the back drop to the game is spectacular. I was rolling with Yelp for this game and we were in suite 309, which was just a little left of home plate and had great views. The stadium staff did a great job checking our suite to make sure trash was not piling up. Thanks Pete and Ryan for hooking a jersey girl up! Nice to meet some Brooklyn yelpers and hope to see (in my best jersey voice) yous guys at some Jersey events soon!

Tonight we paid for a box with the food and beer/wine package for our friend's birthday. This was done through Tom. The game was fogged out. Not their fault. We thought we could rebook the same scenario - turns out NO. Because we were there for 45 minutes as they decided whether to play the game or not, if we return, we need to repurchase the drink package. There were 7 of us. If we each had even 3 drinks in 45 minutes, that's 21 drinks. I said what if I paid 50 bucks or 100 bucks for the drinks consumed while you decided to have the game or not. Turns out - NOPE. If you buy the alcohol package, if there is no game and if you're there long enough to have 1 drink, it's the SAME as if you stayed for 3 hours and had 50. After the game was cancelled, we were called 7 times on the phone to settle our bill on the food. I said I would call them in the morning as we were trying to salvage the rest of the night and the party. NOPE. They harassed my wife until she gave them her card to make them STOP. Thanks, Tom. Real normal. Real reasonable.

I went to the game with my wife, and we had a really great time! We got to sit right behind home plate and watch a baseball game from up close. It was definitely an enjoyable experience that I look forward to doing again in the near future. The only shame was that it started to rain in the fifth inning which unfortunately cut out outing short which was disappointing. All in all I would definitely recommend going with a group of friends or family if you are looking for a fun time that is also relaxing at the same time. They make sure to try to get all kids involved in between innings which was a really nice thing to see as well.

Brooklyn Cyclone games are always a blast. There is always a lot of interaction with the crowd beyond the scope of the game itself. Even if you are not a big baseball fan, you will have fun at a Brooklyn Cyclones game. They have special giveaway nights and promo events. The concessions are always great quality, and there is even bacon-on-a-stick if you venture to the outfield concession stand. :-)

There really isn't much better than the Cyclones in the summer. With the sun setting and the Wonder Wheel in the background, if you don't enjoy watching [occasionally terrible] baseball and all the between-inning entertainment, I think there's something wrong with you beyond your hideous taste in clothes. It's cheap, laid-back, family-friendly fun. Go have a good time. A couple pieces of advice: 1. If it's Jersey Night or Bat Day or whatever, make sure to get there early. If you don't make it at least an hour before the game starts, you're not going to be taking home that Daryl Strawberry Bobblehead you always wanted. 2. Don't come in with high expectations of a perfect evening watching men compete at the pinnacle of their sport. This isn't Yankee Stadium. You're going to see a lot of errors made, and there's no sushi for sale here. This is Brooklyn. They've got knishes, and you know you want one. 3. Make sure they've got honey mustard or BBQ sauce before you get yourself some chicken fingers. Those things are essentially edible honey mustard spoons anyway, so when they are out, what's the point? 4. Don't ask them to load you up on the chili for your hot dog. You won't even be able to see the dog itself, and when the chili gets on your girlfriend's dress nobody is going to be happy. Nobody.

I had a pretty awesome time watching the Cyclones. Even though they're just a single-A team for the Mets, it was a fun. My friend got tickets to their luxury suite from his job. The suite was pretty spacious and the AC was a plus. We had our own little balcony area with a couple of seats. Anyway, as for the Cyclones, they're a horrible team. The Cyclones and the away team had like 4-5 errors each. The main thing I liked about watching a minor league game, the players play hard. You see more base stealing and other things that you don't catch at a major league level often. I'm assuming these young guys are trying really hard to earn a promotion to double A and then triple A. Thursday is JERSEY NIGHT! I got a pretty cool red and black Brooklyn Cyclones jersey. It's their promotions for every home game on thursdays. Tickets are dirt cheap. Every seat in the house is good.

Ticket prices are up slightly again, slowly creeping their way towards a questionable expense, rather than a cheap night's entertainment. Along that grain, concessions are on par with major league parks as well. The 'rally crew' kids standing on the dugouts and between-inning shenanigans get a little stale and annoying by the 4th or 5th inning. And really now, who needs THREE mascots?! Come on. That being said, the seats are all good, the atmosphere is fun, the quality of baseball is very good, considering they are in the lowest echelon A league, promotions are giveaways are good and frequent, and it's right off the bus/train. I'm not sure how accessible players are for autographs, so I can't say much on that, but I can imagine they are ok. I have a good imagination. I saw a bloodied and drunk guy on the bus one night, bragging loudly how he was banned from Keyspan Park for fighting. You can't buy class like that. Dude that's like getting kicked out of Burger King for bringing in a Taco Bell bag. Just thought I would mention that for a laugh. But I digress! While the rest of Coney Island falls from the peak from where it balanced precariously, we still have this one spot to savor, but as things seem to be going in Brooklyn, I'm wondering how much longer this haven will last.

My company had our annual event here this year... It was my first time at Coney Island, so I wasnt quite sure what to expect. Ill preface this by saying I didnt stay for the game (I went for the food/drinks and left before that HUGE thunderstorm blew in)... but, we were greeted by super friendly staff, security, and Cyclone-Girls. Apparently, we had come on "Zombie Day" - whatever that meant. We walked up to our rooftop area - had food and beer (all free for us) - the hot dog was grilled, as was the hamburger - and they were served with in-house made chips, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, etc - the real (secret star) were the sauerkraut and hot-relish the hot-dogs were placed next to.. that combination was delicious ballpark flavor. Our view was spectacular from the roof - I got a great pic of the field with the ocean and roller coaster in the background (180 degrees the other way, there was a huge thunderstorm looming). I ducked out before the game started (I had a 2+ hour commute home and work the next day) - on my way down the elevator, it stopped at the level below to pick up 3 guys in yellow hazard suits and gas masks, and a guy in a humongous zombie costume. I HATE selfies, but I HAD to ask the kind lady escorting them down to take a pic of us all together in that elevator. Thanks Brooklyn Cyclones for being generous, friendly, personable, and caring about your jobs - Im a supporter!

If you're not one for sitting in huge baseball stadiums or paying close to $10 for a hot dog, you'll enjoy the cozy feeling of MCU Park - located steps from the Coney Island boardwalk, Nathan's, and nostalgic amusement park rides. As part of a Friday evening/night Coney Island excursion, a bunch of us went on a Friday night and snagged field level seats here for $16 a pop. For those who don't know, the Brooklyn Cycles are the Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets. During games, they've got mascots, cheerleaders, and other entertainers working the stands during and in-between innings, with on-field fan contests to boot! At the end of the game, they even ENCOURAGE fans to throw stuff on the field - $1 tennis balls to be exact. Get one in any of the assorted hula hoops they have set up, and you win a big prize. Immediately after the ballgame, we were also treated to a wonderful fireworks show, right over the boardwalk and water...we had the best seats in the house! I had no idea that they also tricked out the now-defunct "Parachute Jump" ride with a pretty sweet array of patterned LED lighting. Overall, we had a great time here. Visiting from Manhattan, I'm not sure I'd come all the way down here JUST for a ball game, but it was a perfect addition to our awesome summer evening/night down in Coney Island!

Once a summer, you gotta drop everything and make it out to world famous Coney Island for a baseball game at the gorgeous MCU park. I gotta thank the Mets for throwing some money at Brooklyn and putting an amazing facility right here in NYC right next to the ocean to catch some summer breezes, have a beer, and enjoy America's favorite pastime. With the humid August weather this ridiculously hot summer, there was no better place to be on a Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones games are great for kids and adults too. They ALWAYS have souvenirs for the fans. Nice stuff too like jerseys and memorabilia. Off the star meter, better than as good as it gets.

Our family had a fantastic time at the game on the 3rd of July. Tickets were 20 bucks a piece, we got a free beer cooler, ran the bases and saw a great fireworks show. We had a large group because we were in from out of town and also got free nice hats. It really was just a great experience and one that I will cherish as I was there with a wide range fo family in fronnout of town. From the ticket order thru Raphael to the great play by the cyclones...it was an A + We are now brooklyn cyclones fans though we live in chicago.

The best thing to happen to Coney Island since the Cyclone coaster so many years ago, the Brooklyn Cyclones have completely changed the dynamics of the area, You can really credit the arrival of the Cyclones as the beginning of a new era in Coney Island, although it's been a decade since their arrival and there is still much more to be done to fix up the neighborhood. Built right next to the old thunderbolt coaster that was torn down years ago, MCU Park has expanded the area of attractions in Coney Island that includes the NY Aquarium, the Cyclone coaster, Luna Park and Nathan's Famous. There are so many great things about the Brooklyn Cyclones, with the most important being that they bring the community together with a great destination right off the boardwalk, with the Atlantic Ocean and the Parachute Jump as a backdrop. The food is affordable and for a class A ballpark they have a great variety of items like Nathans hot dogs(of course!), chicken fingers, salads, wraps, nachos, sushi and gluten free and koser products. They hold daily raffles for prizes and they have the best entertainment for a minor league ballpark that you will ever experience. T-shirt's shot into the crowd, daily giveaways for games like bobbleheads, replica jerseys and so much more! Of course Sandy the Seagull, Pee Wee and King Henry are the mascots and are always walking around keeping the kids and adults entertained! Post-game fireworks shows are common on Friday's during the summer, and often times they hold post game concerts/shows with the price of admission. Any seat in the house is a good one, even the bleacher seats are just fine! All seats are under 20 bucks and the suites are a great affordable idea if you are looking for a place to have a party or hold an event. The Cyclones are a minor league affiliate of the New York Mets but if you live in Brooklyn you most likely root for them even if you are a Yankees fan or a fan of any other team... The Cyclones bring out the pride in us Brooklynites! Because of the great scenery and entertainmnet you really don't have to be a baseball fan to appreciate a visit here, and if you do love baseball and the Mets you get to see the future major leaguers get their start! A bunch of former Brooklyn Cyclones are in the majors like Ike Davis, Dillon Gee, Angel Pagan and many more! The Brooklyn Cyclones are now synonymous with Coney Island AND Brooklyn and i speak for all of us here when i say we couldn't be more proud.

I'm a big baseball fan and really enjoy visiting different ballparks. Minor league games are a whole different experience from major league games. You can catch a glimpse of some great playing; but just as much, you'll see players who are still obviously working on improving - meaning, it's obvious you are watching a minor league game. I've gone to see the Newark Bears, Staten Island Yankees, and now, the Brooklyn Cyclones. The caliber of play is pretty much the same across these teams. The ambiance is the same at all three - fun, very interactive with the fans, relaxing, and every seat is great. Of all the stadiums, the Cyclones' stadium was the most fun - AND the biggest pain in the arse to get to. This is because it's located in Coney Island - actually at the edge of the amusement park - you can see the Cyclone coaster running right behind the scoreboard as you watch the players. They regularly have fireworks after the game - which they did when I went. If Coney Island weren't so far from . . . almost everywhere (specifically, Harlem), I'd come here more often to catch a game. Unfortunately, I'm annoyed I didn't get a chance to ride the Cyclone - I'm a huge fan of roller coasters - so I guess this gives me a reason to double-dose on the fun of Coney Island by catching another game and riding the coasters. Just go if you have time to spare to get there and back - you won't regret it!

This is a great stadium. We went on a Tuesday, and while there was hustle and bustle, it wasn't overly packed. Seats all have great views, and the crowd really got into the game! There were lots of kids around, and the mascot comes up for photos throughout the game. Food is your typical field pricing, nathan's hot dogs, fries, burgers, etc. They have beers throughout and downstairs in the backyard section, they have ground level couch seating, games such as cornhole, and a tiki drink stand that serves up pina coladas, wine, and margaritas. Fun day trip for the family!

Wonderful experience on Cooney Island. I was so glad it was a part of my summer in New York City. I went on the Baracklyn Cyclones night and got a free Obama bobblehead! I wanted to comeback for one of the outdoor movie nights but never made it over. The worst part was the long subway ride getting there, but the local fun of the game made it totally worth it!

Its a long trek from Manhattan, but going with a fun group for a cool giveaway (they have tons/the best), its a great time. They have all kinds of fun and games throughout the whole ballgame for children and adults. Drinks and food are reasonably priced compared to the city. I lost my phone in the seat cracks Friday night, called Saturday morning and Brian Wayne from the front office went to my section, found it in 20 minutes and made it as easy as possible for me to come pick it up. Overall awesome experience.

BK Cyclones!! I had such a great time with friends at this stadium. They have three mascots - crazy. Reggy is a fun one with her/his boombox. (Sammy and Peewee are cool too.) The Cyclones lost last night, but I enjoyed rooting for my new home team. Since LA took the Dodgers, I give sympathy points to BK. One of my co-workers still laments the day that the Dodgers moved away - apparently Brooklyn hasn't been the same ever since. Nathan's french fries - so good. I had strong cravings for fries last night. Cheers to my friend who got a job! She treated us out to a ballgame. :)

Location, location, location. There is no better way of topping off a day of fun in Coney Island than by going to a Brooklyn Cyclones game. Baseball is probably my least favorite sport (I mean, it's just a bunch of people standing in a field and sitting on a bench!), but Cyclones games are magical. The stadium is beautiful and there's no shortage of food options. Hanging out on the rooftop "Party Deck" is amazing, and the view can't be beat. My favorite part of the game, though, has to be what goes on between innings. The absurd, goofy games make it all the more worthwhile. I mean, where else are you going to see someone "take one for the team" and have potato and cabbage soup dumped on their head? If you go, go at night--there's nothing like watching the sunset over Coney Island and the Atlantic Ocean. It simply can't be beat.

Fabulous ode to the days of baseball when people played for the game and for the crowds and without those ridiculous million dollar contracts and arrogance. You must visit this vintage park, if not as a tourist, to see what classic parks back in the heyday on a smaller scale, such as Fenway or Wrigley field. We did a quick walkthrough, but I wanted to catch a game here for sure in the future.

As a METS fanatic this was a great laid back alternative to Citifield. Great views from a wonderful new park. Tons of food concessions (even though it's pricey). Great parking for $13.00. Grew up coming to Coney Island and this was a great reason to visit after many years. I hope I have time to get back again once or twice this year. Maybe bring my little cousins because it's a wonderful alternative to take the little ones. Or a girl who might not be into MLB as much (as I did one day last year).

Great way to spend the day at Coney Island, lunch at Nathans and watching the Cyclones. Very family friendly, mascots Sandy and King Henry always doing something to entertain. Fun day!

i've been to a few cyclones games this year. as usual, they always have a fun atmosphere and the staff is usually very helpful. nice promos. special shout out to sandy the seagull who is always making the rounds. as it turns out the actual baseball product on the field this year has been pretty awful. the cyclones can't score runs nor is the pitching that good. this is unusual because the cyclones have always been one of the better teams in the ny penn league. when they are good, the house is rocking. my only wish is that the players make themselves more available for autographs. it seems like they are more willing to sign on the weekends but not so much on the weekdays when they trot out for warm ups about 30 minutes prior to the game. i've been trying to get fonzie's auto but he doesn't make the rounds and I notice that some of the "better" players also don't really sign. if anything shouldn't they make themselves more available since the team is so bad? I'm going to at least one more game this year, so I hope things will be better soon.

I LOVE BASEBALL!!!!!!! I LOVE CONEY ISLAND!!!!!!! IT'S LIKE MY TWO FAVOURITE THINGS HAD SEX!!!!!!! Going to a Brooklyn Cyclones game is a fun evening activity. My gentleman friend and I went to a game last week, and we weren't disappointed. The field is nice and new and relatively clean, and we got great seats on the first base line with full view of the Cyclones cheerleaders. No, baseball does NOT need cheerleaders, but yes, Mel totally does. I wanted to bite the blonde one on her thighs, repeatedly. Thank you, Cyclones Beachbums, for making my night. The prices here are surprisingly steep, considering that the Cyclones are two levels below single A. Granted, we had great seats, but we paid $14/per for them... which is about how much the last AA baseball game I went to cost (Go Columbus Clippers!). However, it was totally worth it... even if the Cyclones were having a really shitty night, to boot. But still, the seats were great, they were comfy, and we even got to enjoy some Brooklyn Lagers (almost $7 each, which is more toward standard I think). I guess I have to keep reminding myself that I live in New York. It's been a year and I still forget sometimes. ;) Oh and yes, I totally wore a Red Sox hat, and as at the last Yankee game I went to, no one even heckled me. I am saddened, New Yorkers. I. am. Saddened. George Steinbrenner is rolling over in his grave in dismay. GO CYCLONES!! Thank god ya'll are the farm team for the Mets. Baaahaha!!

This is what baseball used to be like everywhere, and what most of the MLB has unfortunately since lost: homegrown, neighborhood-friendly, local teams with a bona fide community feel. And reasonable/cheap ticket prices. :) I've been to several Cyclones games, and I can't begin to describe the awesome feeling of community that washes over the park in comparison to a big league place like Yankee Stadium or Shea. The Cyclones belong to Brooklyn, and they know it. (They may suck sometimes too, but that doesn't really get anyone down.) If you can, try and grab seats up front. You may even get to chat with an outfielder, or score a stray ball. The last time I went I sat right in front of the left outfield, and Ambiores Concepcion didn't think twice about handing me a ball from the last inning played, simply because I was cheering him on the whole time. And a lot of the players stick around after games to meet fans and give autographs as well, so it's definitely a great place to bring your autograph book (or baseball-obsessed kids). A word of advice: Steer clear of the merchandise, unless there's something you can absolutely not live without. They tend to charge Yankee Stadium-style prices for Cyclones memorabilia, which never quite made sense to me. You can probably get the same stuff for cheaper on eBay, unless you're one of those people who insist on supporting the original seller (even if they overcharge). Sure, the players may not be super duper 1337 pros like the Yankees/Mets, and they try a bit too hard with their mid-inning hoo-hah gimmicks, but overall you can NOT beat this place for community atmosphere. And come on, their mascot is a seagull.

Baseball is back in Brooklyn!! Minor league is where its at. Reasonably priced tickets. Loud, dedicated fans. Cheap Nathan's dogs and beer. And Coney Island. Plus, they regularly have fireworks displays and terrible music. What more could you want from a baseball game experience?

This summer I am making a promise to catch at least one Brooklyn Cyclones game at KeySpan Park. The home of the Class A Short Season Mets affiliate in the NY-Penn League, this is one of the coolest Minor League ballparks in America. Yep, it's kind of a pain in the ass to reach if you live in Manhattan, but it's definitely worth it, especially considering the extortionist ticket prices being charged at Nouveau Che and Yankee Stadium. Just hop on the D, F, N or Q train and take it to the final stop, which is Coney Island/Stillwell Ave. You can grab a dog at Nathan's before heading into the park (of course, they have dogs at the game, but it's still cool to hit up the real thing since you're there). The ballpark, which is packed for every home game (Brooklyn has led the league in attendance each of the past eight seasons), overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the old Parachute Jump in right field. On a breezy summer night, this is a beautiful setting. And the baseball ain't bad. The Cyclones have made the playoffs in three of the last four seasons, and have groomed such current Mets as outfielder Dan Murphy and pitcher Bobby Parnell in recent years. I probably won't make it for Opening Day on June 19, but here are a few promotions I'm marking down on my calendar right now: * Baracklyn Bobblehead Night, June 23 * Jewish Heritage Night, July 7 * Italian Heritage Night, July 27 * Irish Heritage Night, July 30 * Darryl Strawberry Night with Strawbobble giveaway, Aug. 3 If only the Cyclones' mascots - Sandy the Seagull and Pee Wee - were as cool as the venerable Mr. Met, this place would be perfect.

Going to the Cyclones is the most fun I've had in the city for the least amount of money. The first time I went, I got Standing Room Only tickets. We stood on the mezzanine level and watched from there until the fifth inning at which point we moved to empty seats behind home plate. For seven bucks apiece, it was great. I've never sat or stood in a place where I couldn't follow the action like I was on the field. I went a couple of times on my own and was able to purchase actual tickets for behind home place for only $14. Going by yourself allows you to pick up those odd seats that haven't already been filled. The beer prices are at Manhattan prices for a Coors Light but cheap compared to a pro stadium anywhere else. I went to games on both Saturday and Sunday and spent less than $100 over the whole weekend, and that included food and a burger I had at the bar downstairs. The level of ball isn't really the greatest you'll ever see but that doesn't mean that it isn't still fun. For certain players they play the same song every time they come up to bat and you start to feel like you know them after a while. And all else failing you can still taunt the umps and visiting team. The two downsides to the Cyclones are the prices for the merchandise and all the gimmicks they do between innings. The merch costs the same as buying anything with a Mets or Yankees logo. The gimmicks are stupid but generally ignorable for the most part. But if you go to more than one game in a season you'll notice that they do the same things every game. Still, Keyspan is one of the best stadiums I've ever been to. With views of the ocean and Coney Island, even if you don't like baseball, there's still plenty to look at.

My first baseball game was a Cyclones game. Oh, I remember like it was five years ago. Mainly because it was five years ago. The opposing team's coach argued a call for five minutes, and the umpire actually reversed the call afterwards. How often do you see that in a baseball game? It's the minor leagues though. Don't expect anyone slamming a 450-foot home run, but you might catch a future All-Star in the making. Although that's unlikely too. They've got the cutest mascot ever - Sandy the Seagull. Their MC on the other hand, Party Marty or whatever he's called, he's quite possibly the most annoying thing ever. A few Cyclones have also graduated into full-time MLB players, including Tampa Bay's ace pitcher Scott Kazmir. Whose bright idea was it to trade him away?

The lines for concessions was miserable on opening night. You could spend 2-3 innings just waiting in a single line. The place was also overrun with kids - none of which were watching the game. It was like a day care. Climbing over seats, screaming, sucking down cokes and cotton candy. I actually left my friends and tried to watch the game from the walkway. I'm sure these problems will take care of themselves as the season goes on and attendance drops off, but it was far from a relaxing experience.

I don't like baseball. Watching major league baseball on tv is torture enough, but you can at least change the channel. Not here. You're stuck watching these guys who are okay, but not great. Games are long and boring. I would not normally go to this, but alas, girlfriend's family thing. They do cater to the kids pretty well with mascots and letting kids run around the bases at the end of the game.

Great place to spend a summer evening. The crowd is lively and energetic. Also, I'm surprised by how young (read people in their 20s) this crowd was. Lots of beer drinking and eating. Definitely come here for a relaxing night.

MCU park is great! Don't forget to take a spin on the legendary Cyclone before you hit the park. A great minor league baseball experience as the Cyclones always seem to field an exciting winning team each season, unlike their big league club, the Mets.

One of my greatest pastimes living in Brooklyn (4 long years ago) was hitting coney island with the family several times during the baseball season and watching a Cyclones game. there is something to be said about watching a minor league baseball game with die-hard brooklynites. It could be the copious amounts of sausage and peppers available for purchase in the ball park, or the beers that are kinda not so expensive... or it might be the melted soft serve in a baseball cap that always turns out to be a bad idea immediately after you hand over your weekly allowance... But there is something about being at a Brooklyn Cyclones game that is an all out, scream your head off, and an overall good time. Every time i went to a game I was guaranteeing myself laryngitis the following day! The staff there go crazy hard with love for Brooklyn! I think one of the things I miss most about living in Brooklyn is the Brooklyn pride! The park is great, with seats in the CHEAP Price range, sit anywhere and have a great view! The neighborhood is rich with culture and the team is pretty bad ass! Get to your game early for a Nathans Hot dog, some cheese fries, and a bucket of beer and then go watch the game! Dont forget to jump up and sing sweet Caroline during the 7th inning! DO IT!

Well it's almost that time of year again. I know I know....the Cyclones are a Mets team....but the games are so cheap and so fun. If youre not entertained by the game itself you will most definitely find humor in some of the locals! They've got hometown pride for sure and theyre so drunk they'll scream it in your face! Always a good time to be had in coney island

Cheaper, more fun, and closer to the action then you'll get at a Yankees or Mets game. Great sense of fun and community when you're at a cyclones game,and for $15, you can't beat it. Even the worst seat in the house would be a $150 ticket at a Yankees game. Right next to the old parachute structure a short couple blocks from the last stop on the F train it's easy to get to. You don't have to buy tickets in advance (though if you want a specific spot or to save a buck or two you might want to consider it). The beers are $5.50 which is a couple bucks cheaper than a MLB game which is a definite plus. Definitely a nice alternative to a Mets game in the heart of Coney Island.

I am a huge fan of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Was just introduced last weekend and I think next year, "Season Tickets" will be in my future. Cheap fun, cheap parking, cheap food, cheap beer, and excellent sport! All the while, getting a great tan!!! The best part is getting ALL the players to autograph your memorabilia at the VIP gate before going home! On my trip, the Cyclones played the Staten Island Yankees and we were treated to meet and greet with Pedro Feliciano, the pitcher for the NY Mets who is playing on the SI Yankees team while he is rehabbing an injury. AWESOME!!!!

Went there with my lady for a Saturday evening game. It was great. The people working there courteous. The stadium was gorgeous. Can't wait to go again
