"A new DIY venue with a focus on rock music has opened in the neighborhood. In addition to being a place to catch a concert, Brooklyn Made also has an in-house, horseshoe-shaped cocktail bar named Connie’s, complete with a pool table to keep the fun going. A separate tapas bar at the site is to follow." - Emma Orlow

I've been here 3 times now and this is easily my new favorite venue. The space and staff are wonderful. The drinks are strong and not outrageously priced, and most importantly, the acoustics are amazing. The rooftop deck and VIP apartment are similarly gorgeous. We need more places like this everywhere.

I was there last Friday for a Plaid concert! The venue has nice features: fireplace in the lounge, plenty of restrooms located near the lounge and near the entrance, stage is small but perfect for up close and personal viewing! The upstairs terrace has a fireplace also and suspended heaters- definitely needed during the wintertime!!! Staff are friendly too!! Drinks were inexpensive. Will definitely go back and see other live acts and shows!@

Google
Fantastic venue for live music! It’s all standing room only but that makes for a more intimate show. Also make sure to get tacos at the Mexican restaurant nearby !

Google
It's a nice cozy venue. The staff was friendly, there are plenty of opportunities for great photos. I would be happy to return for another show

Google
Good venue, smaller than you would think from the outside and their speakers are a little directional (eg standing in certain locations sound better than others) but good bar, nice staff, great rooftop deck as well for in between sets

Google
Nice small venue where we saw Jalen Ngonda play on a Friday night. Great sound throughout, and the two bars made it easy to top up on drinks wherever you were. Location is also clutch, as its walking distance from a lot of dinner / drink spots—where we stopped by Nowon before the show, and Cherry on Top afterwards.

Google
Great space to watch a band. Saw Twin Tribes here this past Friday. Sound was good, space was small enough to feel intimate, but big enough to move around. One full bar and a mini bar on the side, and plenty of ADA accessible bathrooms. No complaints, great show, great venue.

Google
The venue was cool, although there are some obstructed views from two large support columns. Staff was super-friendly. Letters to Cleo were fantastic as always, and it was great to see the Gigolo Aunts again after 30 years. Street parking is available in the area, but there is also a garage further up on Troutman that can be booked via SpotHero.

Yelp
I had the worst time here. The rating on this review is for the bar aspect. The venue is fine, average. Okay sound and decent size for a small audience. I'm writing this review focused on being a patron of the bar. It's shocking to be discriminated against in 2024. But there is frankly no other way to explain this bartender's actions. Everytime I went to get a drink -- she actively ignored me. The first time I was surprised but thought -- "Okay. Maybe those guys are part of the band." Waiting ten minutes for her to serve them. She then looked me in the eye and then proceeded to serve someone that walked up after me. It was heart breaking. I would have been so offended if she didn't repeatedly do it three to four times. I kept going back because I was being too optimistic. But when three separate people commented on the fact I was the only black person in the bar and continuously getting skipped over -- I knew it wasn't in my head. The fourth time I even tested it with my white partner. I showed up to the bar first. He arrived three minutes later and she again served him first. It was absolutely crazy. Her friend? Or maybe a regular watched it all happened laughed and shrugged, and made a haphazard excuse. Sure fine. Again if it hadn't been happening for the entire night. I have no idea why she thought this was okay. It was embarrassing to have strangers have to help me get her attention and comment on the situation. Maybe she was just having a sort of offensive vibe kind of day because she started closing up the bar early too. I definitely would give this place a miss. Rare racist experience in NYC. If you have to come, only send your white friends to get drinks because you will be openly and actively ignored.

Yelp
I came to a Friday Pilots Club concert on a Saturday night and the venue experience was seamless. Lining up, getting our tickets, and getting through security check was quick and efficient. The set I went to see was also surprisingly prompt and timely. The venue is smaller than most but provides an intimate viewing experience. The stage is perfectly elevated where you don't have to tilt your head 90 degrees to look up at the stage. The only obstruction to viewing are two pillars in front of the stage. If you avoid the pillars, you can get pretty close to the stage and have a great viewing experience. Acoustics were inconsistent but highly dependent on the band (openers/headliner). Certain bands had great live acoustics (vocal clarity and crisp sound) while others were hard to hear (too bassy/inaudible vocals). The band that veered towards indie pop rock had the cleanest sound while the louder more alternative rock bands had a rougher time. Not sure if this is an issue with the venue's sound setup or the bands' sound systems/backing tracks. Outside of some minor acoustic issues, Brooklyn Made is one of the best concert venues I've been to and wouldn't mind coming back to see another band or artist.

Yelp
Less ornate than Bowery Ballroom but more ornate than a shipping container along the Gowanus, this venue has a function-over-form vibe reminiscent of the old Maxwell's. You're never far from the stage but there may be pillars in the way. Fine sound quality for last night's Letters to Cleo/Gigolo Aunts combo. Quick and painless entry/security process. Right near the Jefferson stop on the L train. In a hurry, I went to Pret a Manger near work so I didn't partake in the multiple birria trucks on Wyckoff still open at 11.

Yelp
Nice addition to the nyc music scene. Pro's: convenient access to several in-house bars from the standing area. Close to the Jefferson st subway stop. Intimate audience standing room. Cons: two giant steel pillars blocking some sight lines. $10 for a draft beer. Keeps their phone number and set times in a black box (incredibly frustrating). When doors are open, bar area convo's distract from the show.

Yelp
Lovely, small music venue. I enjoyed the ambience, appreciated the convenience of multiple bars, and loved the sound quality. Will definitely check out more shows here!

Yelp
Great soundsystem! Cool place for concerts. Cosy athmosphere. Nice audience. Only been there by Twitch though. Still. My friends go there and I have heard them talk.

Yelp
Brooklyn Made is a solid music venue with ample space and a stage high enough to see from any angle on the floor. The venue has a bar area, single stall bathrooms and a cute fire place with cushions where the merch table is usually set up. I was there to see Mally and Brother Ali and it was a chill vibe. They have an outdoor patio but it's not covered so was wet from rain the day I went. It's situated in Bushwick and just a block down has a ton of food and drink options before or after the show. Brooklyn Made does have drink options available but when I went most of their cocktails were sold out and they didn't have sone of the liquor I was interested in. Overall though it's a solid venue and I like that the bathrooms are single stall.

Yelp
Intimate music venue with three distinct areas: (1) an outdoor garden right in front; (2) a midcentury modern speakeasy lounge with velvet chairs and a pool table near the main bar, and (3) the stage room with both standing space and some seats on the side reserved for those with disabilities. Apart from the chill atmosphere, they book a diverse lineup of musicians and draw a hip crowd. Drinks are standard for the area, around $9 for draft beer and $14 for a mixed cocktail. Bathrooms are very clean, the lights change between green and red depending on whether the room is vacant or occupied. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
They not only had great sound, but after emailing them days before the show , they had set aside a set of seats at stage left for people like my friend who was on crutches and couldn't stand for long. Wonderful venue, great drink selection, and a great time all around!

Yelp
Pros: 1. Amazing sound from the stage Cons: 1. Hideous sight lines. (If you're under 6'6", and not at the stage, forget about a clear view, and who the hell designs a venue with three monstrous columns blocking the view of the stage?) 2. Sound leaking in from front lobby (Jeff Tweedy on opening night restarted a song waiting for someone to close the door) 3. No appearant air conditioning 4. Clueless bartenders (I know it's Brooklyn, but my bartender didn't know what a lager was, and gave me some undrinkable slop.) I had so loved the idea of what this could be: an upscale small venue. But overall Brooklyn Made is a complete fail as a club. It's as if it were designed by someone who loves the idea of being seen at shows, instead of actually seeing shows. Give me Mercury Lounge any day over this. I doubt that I would return here no matter who is playing.

Yelp
I wish I could give this establishment 0 stars. I don't post reviews ever, but because I feel literally helpless, this is my only option. I forgot my $300 jacket at this venue and emailed them the next morning. They emailed me back and said they have it and I can come and get it whenever they're open. I went to get it when they were open and they couldn't find it, said they'll look harder later. I continued checking in via email and basically they said "we aren't responsible for lost items". But they found it before. They had it. They told me I could pick it up. So what does that sound like to you? It sounds like someone that works for them stole my jacket after it was found. And now that they can't find it, they just gave up and stopped communicating with me. I feel like they are siding with their thieving employees and gave up on helping their patrons. To me, $300 is a lot of money and I saved up for that jacket. I know that's petty cash for an establishment like that. They clearly do not care about their local community at all. I even asked if they could meet me in the middle and pay for half. No response. I understand if I lost my jacket and someone stole it that night and they never found it, fair. But they found it, they said they'd keep it safe and I could pick it up. So what happened between that email and me getting it? A theft occurred and they didn't care to take care of that. To me, this is not a community space. Communities don't work like that and your name don't fit the bill.

Yelp
This place is very intimate, which allows you to get quite close to the performer. The sound is horrible; you barely can understand the words, and the staff is concerned about their dynamics, forgetting to set the sound right. I still had a great experience, but they should definitely fox something or high better staff.

Yelp
Ok it's pretty and it's hip and the bartenders are really amazing and very nice. BUT I have seen the Old 97's numerous times in a ton of venues in NYC and otherwise. And the sound in that room is flat out substandard. It's so muddy sounding. Hang some better speakers or have it tuned. Lyrics totally unintelligible. The Subs are way over powering. I have tickets for a show later on at the venue curious to see if it sounds as bad as tonight's Old 97's show did. I sure hope not.

Yelp
Great venue. Very cozy and intimate for a concert. Two bar areas which is always great.

R B.

Yelp
Very intimate music venue, so any place you're standing offers a very up-close view. Security guard was very laid-back and used a magnetic wand (no trouble there). Separate very large room (separate from the concert room) where they sell drinks & for socializing. Also another bar inside the concert room too. Four separate unisex bathrooms. Just around the corner & down the block from the L train, so very easy commute. Great experience!

Yelp
Great venue overall. The bar is solid and not too pricy for NY. The bathroom setup is truly phenomenal. Not only are there plenty, but they had to be the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen in a bar of this kind. The red/green lights that were activated by locking the door elevated the shitter setup to heights previously unseen.
