This museum is such a fun, off-the-beaten-path spot. If you have friends or family visiting who want to skip the usual touristy stuff and do something a little different, this is a perfect choice. The space itself is pretty small, but they do a lot with it! There are great interactive elements where you can learn about the history and process of seltzer-making, see the old bottles and machinery, and even try spraying a bottle yourself. It’s very hands-on and makes the whole experience feel personal and unique. Barry Joseph, one of the cofounders, is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. He shares tons of interesting stories and details about the history of seltzer, the business, and its place in New York’s cultural history. You can tell how much love and care has gone into preserving and sharing this piece of Brooklyn tradition. And of course, the egg cream is delicious!!!! Made fresh right there as part of the experience. Overall, the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum is a hidden gem that’s fun, informative, and a nice change of pace from the usual NYC attractions. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the tour we took here!!! Learned so much about Seltzer history and production. Got egg creams! Whats not to enjoy!? All the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and care about providing a good time. It makes for a great family, friend or tourist activity. We are New Yorkers but it felt really nostalgic and nice doing something unique like this to honor our local history. Even if you aren't into seltzer it's worth visiting. It's like stepping back in time. Very fun!!! Thank you guys for the fun Sunday morning!

Fascinating bit of Brooklyn history. We had seltzer delivery back when I was a kid but I thought it was a lost art. Glad to see these folks are keeping the craft alive. Great job with the storytelling murals! The equipment in various stages of assembly were also a nice introduction to the actual production process. We also got to see the filling stations still in use and try both chocolate and vanilla egg creams. The presentation was all light hearted and fun. Great to hear the story directly from a third generation family member.

5+ stars. It was a joy to visit the last standing, and family run, seltzer distributor in New York. Tours are not a lecture but rather a welcoming into their family business. Their passion and knowledge is abundant. Highly recommend for anyone interested in a unique experience highlighting New York's great history. Sign me up for a seltzer subscription!

This place was so awesome. So interesting and the seltzer was so good. One recommendation, maybe it’s possible to serve the seltzer samples in glasses instead of plastic cups? That seltzer deserves a glass. So glad this family owned company has survived. It is a treasure.

Such a fun experience for anyone that loves seltzer, history, bottling videos, family run businesses or a combination of any of this! I loved learning more about seltzer from a family that's been doing it for over 5 generations!

Really fun tour of the inner workings of this factory. The process and fun activities coupled with and the history of seltzer. A must for seltzer lovers.

We decided to give this place try as we were looking for a different experience in New York. I was bit skeptical by the google street-view prior to the visit, but turned out to be surprisingly good. Alex gave us an informative and pleasant tour about Seltzer Production. If you’ve been to NYC many times, looking for something distinct, and a seltzer-person, I recommend you to try out the tour.
