This was my second visit to brookside market and it was just as good as I remembered it! This time we opted for the green tomatoes, fried Zuchinni , rigatoni and cutlet sub. The green tomatoes is not what you may expect but better topped with creamy corn! The cutlet sub was divine! The sweet roasted red peppers pair nicely with the hunk of cheese that sits on top of the perfectly fried chicken cutlet. The only Downside is that if you don’t eat it fast, the bread is so thin it gets super soggy. The overall service is great and they offer such a great variety of dishes, it’s the perfect place for large groups. They also sell alcohol so if you’re looking for something to take home, you can grab drinks and food!

Great food, reasonable prices, cool vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Lots of choices from sandwiches to full meals, soup and salad. They also include a small market for deli items.

Went with a group of friends. We all ordered different things at the counter. When ready it was brought to us at our table. Reservations are recommended for a party of 6 or more. Food was excellent. Portion sizes plenty. Reasonably priced. Will definitely go back although I don't live that close but worth the trip.

Google
Nice atmosphere, fun vibe, good service. That’s where it ends. Chicken Caesar wrap - “grilled” chicken that was more like boiled. Zero flavor. You’d think they would ask to add fries- nope. Pepperoni pizza - just a pile of sloppy cheese and undercooked crust. Salmon BLT - very bland and stale bread. An overall disappointment. We won’t be back. Oh, and I just learned that I tipped 18% AND was charged 10% to sit down. Best part? There was a bunch of slop on the table that I put my arm in and of course, no napkins!

Food is amazing, staff could not be more welcoming! Truly a gem in the heart of Jarrettsville! Family owned and operated & they are all truly invested in the community. Casey is top notch, and his whole crew is bar none! Highly recommended!

TLDR: Excellent Italian eats in a casual bistro setting. Come for the brick oven pizza and generously portioned sandwiches. Vibe: 5/5. Located right on Jarretsville Pike, Brookside Market is a counter service Italian Bistro and beer/wine store all in one. When you walk in, the place is nicely laid out with the wine/beer on the left side of the market, dining room on the right and the main counter dead ahead. The ordering process is simple, you grab a menu at the counter and directly order with the staff at the register and they give you a number card for your table. The staff will then bring the food out to your table and will bus when you are finished. Fountain and chilled cooler drinks are located on the left. Decor is fitting for the restaurant, as Brookside uses your standard modern Italian wall art as well as TVs located all throughout the dining room. The building appears to have been renovated somewhat recently, as everything shows little wear and is nicely appointed. Table wise, it is first come first serve, however there are roughly a dozen + 4 tops in the dining room, so seating should not be an issue for groups both large and small. Service: 5/5. Even with this being a counter service restaurant, we received excellent service from start to finish. My party of 3 went for Saturday lunch around 2pm. The dining room was at half occupancy when we arrived, so we had no problem securing a table. The staff gave us the rundown of how the ordering system works and we're easy to work with. Food turnaround from the time of order was impressively quick. We ordered a half dozen items ranging from pizza to apps and everything was brought out to our table at the same time in about 15 minutes from when entered into the system. They obviously have their service down pact here, which is always a breath of fresh air. Food: 5/5. Loved everything we ordered! For lunch, my party of 3 ordered the cream of crab fries, fried mozzarella, fried pickles, the buffalo chicken pizza, a Greek salad, their blackened chicken sandwich as well as the spicy Italian hoagie. As mentioned above, everything came out quickly and all together. Porion sizes across the board were solid, especially with the sandwiches and salad. The apps, especially the fried mozzarella and pickles could have used 1-2 more pieces at their $8-9 price points, but the flavor made up for it. The cream of crab fries were excellent. The crispy fries had an entire cup of their homemade cream of crab soup poured over the top before serving. The taste of both together is a fun combo for any Marylander. The buffalo chicken pizza was also a slam dunk. Using blackened chicken, the ratio of chicken to Bleu cheese to hot sauce was balanced to the point where you could taste every ingredient. The brick oven pizza, though a little on the floppy side, had a nice chew to the dough and the great taste from the brick oven. The spicy Italian and blackened chicken sandwiches also did not disappoint. Generous portions of meats were toppled high on both which played nice with the respective accoutrements of each sando. In a last minute decision, our table decided to split one of their homemade desserts they have on display at the counter. We opted for the Italian almond cake, which has a chocolate outside encapsulating a soft, almondy rainbow layered cake interior. Soft, fudgy and loaded with almond flavor, this was the perfect ending to a great meal. Our entire meal cost us around $100, which for the amount of food ordered I found to be very reasonable. Overall, if you find yourself in the area, Brookside Market is a great choice for both lunch and dinner!

Google
What a waste of a beautiful brick oven. Half burnt, half undercooked, all terrible cheese, all dense. Basil distributed questionably. Bonus points taken away for the Papa John's imitation in the corner. The fries were literally wet from being steamed in the takeout box. (I was early for my order so they weren't sitting around)

Google
Delicious food for a great price! They do get extremely busy, so staff may miss items from your order. Be sure to keep track to make sure you got everything. While the outdoor patio allows dogs, it is stone graveled, which might not be the most comfortable surface for them to lay on for extended periods of time. I recommended sitting on one of the outer picnic tables and bringing a longer lead to allow them to relax on the grassy areas, or perhaps a towel for them to rest directly on top of the rocks. They also have a large grassy area between the outdoor patio and restaurant where you can easily set up camp chairs to enjoy your meal outside. Parking is abundant and the restaurant is easily accesible via wheelchair.

Yelp
Food is pretty good. But I wouldn't call it moderately priced. For example, a simple salad with salmon on the lunch menu came in at $28. And that's before the cover charge. Cover charge? Yes, they assess a 3% service fee on your order, and it has nothing to do with credit card usage. It's essentially a fee to eat there. So know before you go, and avoid a "you have got to be kidding" moment when you read the bottom of the menu after you have committed to ordering for your party. If you go alone, you can easily bail.

Yelp
Delicious food every time. Winner Saturday evening was the fried green tomatoes topped with cream of crab soup. Soup was rich and full of crab chunks. Service was quick and friendly. One of my favorites!

Yelp
Update: Still Amazing! I am blown away how Brookside still doesn't have a better rating. I came back here for dinner with a party of 3 on a Saturday and everything was perfrct. Service was punctual and friendly and the food was fantastic. This time, I ordered the vodka rigatoni special as well as the Sienna pizza for my mains and both were slam dunks. My table split the zucchini chips and fried green tomato appetizers and they were outstanding. Just like my previous review, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had no complaints. Another tid bit that I appreciate about Brookside is their full buy in on social media. They post regularly with light hearted content depicting current events and specials they have going on. A major plus for those wanting to stay in the know of their seasonal menu. Overall, another A+++ experience.

Yelp
Don't make the mistake of not knowing how this place runs because the waitress will ignore you and the other staff will chastise you for getting it wrong. I've been here, ordered, sat down and enjoyed my meal. Nope - after a certain hour there are wait staff. Would have been a nice piece of information to get from the young lady who took my order, but the humiliating waitress let me know when she said "what are you waiting on ". I quickly consumed half my sandwich that I had to ask the manager for myself and left. If you're going to have a system - don't assume everyone knows what it is. Thanks for the embarrassment

Yelp
Our friends invited us to join them for lunch at Brookside Market - a place new to all of us. This is a market/restaurant. One third is dedicated to market items such as beer, wine, sodas, and refrigerated packaged goods. There is a counter where you order your food and pay. They bring the food to your table. The dining area felt more like a sports bar than a dining room, as it had lots of TV's and very little ambience. We were there before noon and the dining area never filled up. We did note that it was quite noisy with only about a dozen people there. I personally felt that the prices were on the high side considering that there was no table service. My husband ordered the Cheesesteak Sub for $13.00 and paid the additional $4.00 for chips and iced tea. He thought the sub was greasy. And, the selection of chips was limited to 2 varieties of Miss Vickie's chips - "sea salt" and "sea salt and vinegar." He chose the "sea salt" chips - which were like kettle chips. He wished they had Utz chips instead. I ordered the Brookside Club ($12.00) which looked nothing like a club sandwich that I have had at any other restaurant. It was turkey, ham, bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on two slices of thick country white bread cut in half. It was a bit unruly to handle, but the taste was very good. Our friend ordered the Shrimp Salad sandwich ($16.00) which was loaded with shrimp and was very good along with an order of French Fries ($4.00). Her husband had the same club as I did and felt the same way I did - hard to handle. He also ordered Onion Rings ($6.00) that came drizzled in honey which was a different twist, yet very good. We were surprised to see a 3% Convenience Charge added to the bill, as we did not remember seeing any notice of that anywhere. (After returning home and looking at their website, we found a notice that said: "Due to high inflation, supply chain challenges and wage increases, we have chosen to implement a convenience fee of 3% on all purchases in-house and 5% on carry-out purchases.") All in all, we enjoyed our lunches; not sure we would ever come back.

Yelp
Been here many times so this review is well informed ha. Truly excellent in every way. Seating and take out. The owners have created exceptional food in Phoenix/Jacksonville. The sandwiches, salads, and pizzas are simply excellent. Try the shrimp salad sandwich...huge fresh shrimp in a lighter than most mayo sauce. Filling. The true Italian sub as good as any at an Italian market. They also have wi es and beers to go. Good to know on a Sunday when you want to picnic on Loch Raven and forgot to buy beer or wine during the week. Since it's a restaurant..,you can buy on Sunday.

Yelp
We have found this awesome place for mid breakfast (10 am) , lunch or dinner. Ordered cream of crab fries and have been ordering them every visit. They are hot fries with old bay and delicious cream of crab soup!! A must have. Loved the hot toasted Italian and spicy castellano subs! All food is good, service is pleasant and helpful and you enjoy a chilled comfortable atmosphere.

Yelp
My friend and I decided to venture out of the city and come to Brookside on our Friday off. She had tried sandwiches from Brookside at a work event and raves about them. I ordered the Katsendike hot sandwich, she ordered the Turkey Swiss sandwich and we split an order of fries. Everything was so delicious and huge. We both took half of our sandwiches home for later. The bread on the Katsendike sandwich was so soft and flavorful. And their pesto is amazing. The fries were fresh and crispy. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is casual. Very cute dining area with mounted tvs. They had the masters on while we were there. I recommend Brookside for an excellent sandwich. I'll definitely come back to try one of their other delicious looking sandwiches.

Yelp
Food is fantastic. Cheesesteak with the fixings, cheese melting off. The bread was soft, but crisp. Shrimp salad was perfect - not heavy on the mayo and large shrimp. Go have a great meal at Brookside

Yelp
A great laid back restaurant with a delicious menu! The pizzas and salads are my favorite. The kids chicken pot pie is ENORMOUS.

Yelp
HORRIBLE SERVICE IF YOU ARE GOING TO GO HERE ONLY CHOOSE TAKEOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I have gone here they have gotten my order wrong each time, seriously how does that happen you guys need to get your service up, do not eat here the staff makes you feel like you are asking for too much, staff makes you feel invisible, and the staff makes you feel stupid. Do not eat here the place is stupid you will never have a good experience. I'm spirited this place is not shut down, which they should be.

Yelp
Great food , casual environment with great choices. A little pricy but worth it overall.

Yelp
A pretty decent place. If you get a bottle of wine though off their shelf that is not one on the menu they charge a $10 corking fee. I asked the waitress if one side of the business is owned by a different owner than the side where you order food. She said no. So why would they charge you a corking fee for a higher end bottle you get from to enjoy with your food. Amazingly cheap in my opinion.
google avatar

Larry G.

Yelp
We were literally about to order family carry out (that isn't going to happen) and we used to go here all the time. We WILL NOT go here anymore because they posted on their website that they are adding a "convenience fee of 3% for in person dining and 5% for carry out orders." Prices are already high and you think adding this on top of high prices is ok when your customers are already dealing with high inflation and prices. You are completely out of touch and we will not support this business until this is eliminated. It's a shame because we love to support local businesses but not when they are fleecing the local customers they need. So much for supporting them during COVID by getting take out orders.

Hyon S.

Yelp
Had the worst blackened salmon. Looks like it was microwaved. It was so rubbery- I had to video my attempt to fork the salmon. This restaurant is so inconsistent with their food quality.

Jen K.

Yelp
Went to Brookside and ordered carryout. I got the True Italian and an order of fries. The sandwich was terrible. I asked for no hots and no mortadella. Got the mortadella I didn't want but they forgot a bunch of other stuff that the sandwich advertised and I wanted on it. It had no oil, no vinegar, no Parmesan spread, no provolone. It tasted bad and I ended up throwing it away after 2 bites. Fries were extra brown and soggy by the time I got in my car. They were edible but not good. I was super hungry and looking forward to my sandwich. Needless to say, I was very disappointed...and starving.

Yelp
There is a store on one side & then seating on the other. It was crowded for a weeknight. Our server was very pleasant& nice! The food was good! I had pizza & the crust was crispy & brown! It seems like this would be a good lunch spot as they have a lot of sandwiches. They did have dinner entrees but we all got sandwiches or pizza. I would recommend this restaurant

Grace B.

Yelp
Brookside Market catered a family gathering for us. The food was delicious. They accommodated gluten free and vegetarian family members. From ordering to pick up the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and had the Rockfish Wrap & Caprese Salad. Both were delicious. We sat outside in the back Garden area and shared both. The staff was so nice and helpful. Definitely will be back to try more

Yelp
Great deli, restaurant, and wine store. The cheesesteak egg rolls were surprisingly good. The salmon was moist and succulent.

Yelp
I live nearby so they are or should I say should be convenient, but not the case. I had bad experience last 3 times I called in. They either got orders incorrect, or food was improperly prepared. On last visit ordered specific dessert for wife and as I was leaving after paying realized dessert was not in bag. Gal that checked me out was going to let me leave without checking. When I informed her that I was missing dessert she responded that they were out of that dessert and I told her that she was letting me leave having paid for something I didn't get. OMG this broke her brain and after pondering for a good moment she offered what desserts they had which were not what wife or I wanted. I informed her her that I would like a refund for the missing item and she just melted and said she didn't know how to do that. Then the manager who had been hovering in the background swooped in and tried to make this MY PROBLEM for being inflexible. Suffice to say it took him 5+ mins to back out the charges and was terse dealing with me. On other occasions they seriously undercooked my pizzas and they were doughy messes. Bakers there have no idea how to bake pizzas and crusts properly.

Yelp
Places like Dipasquale's get all the hype when it comes to sandwiches in MD. But personally, I think the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich at Brookside Market blows every other sandwich I've had in Maryland out of the water. Their bread is like a cloud, the motz is silky smooth, and the prosciutto is soft and fresh. I ramp this sandwich up by adding roasted red peppers and extra balsamic glaze. It's a bit of a drive, but this massive $15 sandwich is worth it and will keep you full the entire day! They also have other Italian dishes like pizza, pasta and salad.
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
I got a charred ceasar salad with grilled chicken last night to go and I just have to rave about it. OMG, this is one of the Best Salads I have ever had. The homemade dressing is stellar. I picked up a Baltimore Club for my Dad who was over the moon about his overstuffed seafood sandwich. Jacksonville is So Lucky to have Brookside Market-- this would a successful restaurant in any large city in America. Thank you, for your amazing food.
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza review: Thin crust, brick oven. Cooked well. Got the peppericotta (pepperoni, mozz, ricotta). This is legitimate Restaurant level pizza NOT your average fare. Pretty good. Will try one of the other dozen pizzas next time. Excellent pizza for a place that has so many varieties of dishes (salads, sandwiches, etc.).
google avatar

Yelp
Food was delicious! Service with a smile! Italian cold cut is delicious! Only got a photo of the fried green tomatoes. But everything was sooooo good!

Yelp
I went to Brookside Market with my family for breakfast on a Sunday. Breakfast is served on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 pm. When we drove into the parking lot, I noticed there was an ample amount of parking spaces. It's great not to fight for a place to park on a Sunday :-) We were seated quickly but our server took quite a long time to come and take our order but when he did come he was very nice. It also took a while to get our coffee and to get our food after we ordered which was very confusing to me because there were not a lot of people in there when we arrived. Anywho, I ordered the crab omelette and a cup of coffee. The omelette had tender peices of crab in a gravy on top. It was pretty good. The coffee was decent too. They have a nice lunch and dinner menu also. They have a wide variety of foods to choose from. I would love to try one of their deli sandwiches which I heard are really delicious and are made with fresh ingredients. I also heard that the pizza is cooked in a brick stove and is pretty tasty, too. There is just something about pizza cooked in a brick oven! Mmmmmm. I have family that lives in the area and they say that this is one of their favorite local restaurants to go to. After breakfast, I walked around. They have a small General Store with dry goods, pastas, spices, and olive oil. Their deli is nicely stocked with various selections of deli meats and cheeses. I was also impressed with the selection of wines and liquor. If you have to pick up a hostess gift or cute little knick-knack for your home, you could find something in this little market/restaurant. This is a nice place to eat in a quaint, friendly community.

Yelp
This was my third time at Brookside Market. I do really enjoy this place but be prepared to spend a pretty penny for a quick lunch. However, the taste, quality and quantity of food is very good. I do think you get a bang for your buck but if you're trying to save money maybe shift gears to some where else. FOOD: I love salmon and the salmon BLT was incredible and they give you a lot of salmon. I was starving and still saved half my sandwich for dinner. The salmon was cooked well, the aioli had great flavor, and the bread tasted fresh and wholesome. If I were to go back as much as I want to try everything on the menu, I'm not sure if I could turn down this sandwich. It is a very cute building with a nice atmosphere. They have a great selection of wines, and small gifts. My only complaint is they charged me $5 for a cup of coffee... I don't even think it was bottomless, and I wasn't offered cream or sugar. So $5 for a cup of black coffee, not the end of the world but a bit of a turn off. All in all I do enjoy Brookside Market and you can't go wrong stopping here for lunch, or a bottle of wine!

Yelp
What happened to this place. Service used to be great. Food was always good and the people were pleasant. That was then. Past 2 orders were wrong. Today I checked it before driving back home. Wrong again. That's not the reason for 1 star. The snippy attitude when I complained is! Left without Pizza or refund.

Len B.

Yelp
Inconsistent. One day the $11.00 cold cut is stuffed with meat, the next their is hardly anything in the sub . I think I will go back to Strapasta.

Robert F.

Yelp
we ate at Brookside recently and we're fairly satisfied with the food. we did notice that the portions were small and that they ADD a 5% takeout fee and a 10% fee just for using their facility. they told me to offset the charges of a credit card, etc. what a bunch of hogwash. these people are bilking the public and a extremely greed. my blt use to have a lot of bacon, now just 3 meager slices of bacon. before it had5-6 slices. they raised the prices and cut the portions. we will not here again. they use to be a decent place to eat but not anymore.
google avatar

Monica B.

Yelp
Ordered for carry out and loved it! My husband and I recently heard about this place and ordered an Italian sub as well as the Luca pizza. The subs were delicious; the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Although I really enjoyed the pizza, my friends and husband didn't like it compared to others. I, however, thought it was great because it was handmade and the crust is thin and crunchy. You can order online which I loved! Can't wait to try more food from Brookside Market

Scott K.

Yelp
We like the food the best in the area however, they can never get the order right. Almost every time something is not right. the most recent time they forgot an order of fries and put mayonnaise on the sub which was not to have mayonnaise. We didn't have time to go back to get a new one, so the sub with mayonnaise was basically garbage. Jimmy's just opened and my first order was 100% correct. I'm just saying and I'm only trying to help Brookside.

A I.

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. They are extremely over priced, the food, for what your paying for is disgusting, and the people that work there are absolutely obnoxious. (Especially the guys). I have been more then 5 times and never once had a good experience. Save your money and time and don't come here.
google avatar

Tina G.

Yelp
Great find on the way to the wineries! Awesome Italian salad and seafood sandwich. Friendly service and everything was fresh and delicious!

Faith S.

Yelp
It is sooo inviting. Loved the wine selection and the food was amazing. Will go back for sure

Yelp
Mr. X and I stopped by this place on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area. What I thought would be a runaway hit came crashing to a halt fairly quickly. Don't you get tired, gentle reader, of going to new places (well, new to you) and just being nothing but disappointed? I do, especially after coming with a recommendation. The dining room is one of those of what I commonly refer to as a one-room uninspired cookie cutter arrangement of tables and chairs. It just doesn't do anything for you. The room is also so hard and loud you can barely hear each other talking. There are strings of LED Christmas lights hanging around the perimeter of the room that do that thing that all cheap LED lights do and that is that they strobe when you look at them. At the very least, if you HAD to have Christmas lights in your interior (a major design gaffe), couldn't you have at least used incandescent? Better yet, none at all of course. Why do amateurs keep insisting on throwing Christmas light strings up inside a room year 'round? The staff was very pleasant. I had no problem at all with the servers. I thought they were attentive and great to deal with. The problems are with the food and their portions. Mr X. and I both got the same meals. We had the tomato and sausage soup special as a starter, and then the pork loin special as an entree. The soup only came in one size, and it was really too small for the price of $7.00 and it tasted like thin pizza sauce with a few chunks of sausage in it. Not impressed. On to the entrees. When I think of pork loin, I think of a tube-shaped piece of meat infused with herbs - not so here. What we received was basically a very small pork chop that had been cut into slices (I can cut my own food, thanks) and spread apart to make it appear to be more food. It also didn't come with a salad or bread, and was severely overpriced at $25.00. We asked for potato chips and were handed a lunch bag of Utz. I was starving, and had the entire entree eaten up in about 8 bites. We were both really disappointed. $50.00 for two entrees and we were still hungry. The food isn't that special, nor is there enough of it to merit that outrageous price. We both felt ripped off (see my review of "Charleston", which evoked a similar feeling). Our bill came to some $75.00 for lunch for 2 with no alcohol- way too much for what we got. With small portions, high prices, leaving hungry, and little in the way of any kind of atmosphere, I don't feel that we will return. We went to the McDonalds across the street immediately after and got us a couple Quarter Pounders.

Alan G.

Yelp
Have recently started going to Brookside Market and have never been disappointed by their amazing food. Got take out tonight and as always the customer service was outstanding. I will continue to return and I highly recommend others to go as well.

Mark S.

Yelp
Ordered. Then food was ready 6 minutes later. I guess the pre cooked hockey puck is my medium burger. Thanks guys. I know kooperd is gone but this is just crap. And maybe teach your front staff some manners. Shit hole... 3times in a row of the same. Guess you guys are going back to the one star service of a few years ago. We're done!

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Great food! Good salad portions - actually filling! As a vegetarian I really appreciate it!

Susan W.

Yelp
In the past I have had decent food there. Today I had the worst Reuben I've ever had in my life thru most of it out. Meat was tough and fatty cheese wasn't even melted. Disgusting I won't be back for a while

Jason C.

Yelp
Our first time going there and had bad experience with takeout. Ordered a sandwich and salad which took 40 minutes. When we got home to eat, my wife's salad seemed like it was from the bottom of the bin and my sandwich was not good. Contacted the restaurant explaining my experience - which I rarely ever do - and I was told to go someplace else! Unlikely that I will be going back with that type of response and will share my experience with others!

Third review. I have really loved how they have grown. Service is perfect. Food is just delicious. Anything with salmon is amazing. I'm very glad they became part of this community.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! The portions are more than generous, but the nachos, the nachos were enormous!!! So clean and fresh, can't wait to go back already.

Yelp
My husband and I recently moved to the area and one of our favorite places to eat is Brookside Market. It's one of the few places that he can get a really good deli sandwich/sub and I can get a really good hot meal, like a crab cake! We have very different tastes so it's awesome to have it all in one place. We had a party a few weeks ago and decided to use Brookside Market for our catering. Within minutes of filling out the online form, we were contacted by one of their staff members! They were extremely helpful as we were making our selections for catering. The entire process was very smooth, from ordering, to payment, to scheduling pick up. To top it all off, our guests raves about the food. We ordered a bunch of sandwiches. There was a variety of kinds. They were all eaten or taken home by guests for later! We also got Caesar salads and penne vodka. The penna vodka was delicious. Not a single bit of food was wasted at this party! I would definitely recommend using Brookside market for catering, or stop in for a meal!

Yelp
Food is amazing. What a great find. Having the pot pie and it is seriously enough for 2 meals. Great service. Very cool atmosphere. Will definitely make this a regular dinner spot. Not sure how the earlier review said portions were small.

Yelp
Just moved up to the Jacksonville area and I have fallen in love with Brookside Market. I've been here several times now and everything is absolutely delicious!!! Fresh sandwiches, amazing wings and tons of beverages to choose from. The staff, waiters and waitresses are all very kind. Everything is always clean and orderly. Lunch time is usually very busy but the wait time is not long at all! I look forward to continue to come here for yummy food!! Today I got a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich to go.. so yummy!

Yelp
With limited options in the Jacksonville, MD area we thought we'd get some good quality Italian food from Brookside for takeout last Friday night. We utilized their online ordering app. Received a text that order would be ready at 6:45pm. Our 2 items, a salad and one entre, were not ready until 7:15pm. In addition we ordered dessert from the case. Making 2 cannolis took 15 minutes as everyone tended to other duties behind the counter. This was an awful experience after a long workweek. My $18 entre didn't come with any bread? Would not recomend. Save your money and order from Strapasta!!!! This place is overpriced and the service is less than acceptable for what you get.

Yelp
We meet our sons girlfriends parents for dinner on a salad nigh for dinner. The restaurant at first glance was modern and clean but as we sat down we realized that the open Concepts with high ceilings made the room very loud and hard for a table of 7 to hear each other. I ordered the black and blue salad which was good but the vinaigrette dressing had no flavor. A person in our party order the power house salad and she said the same thing about the dressing. My husband ordered the shrimp salad, he said it was tasteless, my son ordered the Reuben and he said it was excellent my other son had the veggie pizza and he said it was also good. I may give it another shot, I thought it was a bit on the pricey side as well.
