14 Bars That Are Quiet Enough For A Conversation - New York - The Infatuation

"You’re looking for a quiet place to drink in Park Slope, which means there’s a reasonable chance you also have some children you’re trying to avoid for a few hours. Brookvin, a simply decorated bar with a long list of wines available by the glass, carafe, or bottle, is a good place to do it. Hang out with friends at a table in the back garden surrounded by string lights and greenery, or, if you want to talk to someone your own age but forgot to actually make any plans, sit at the bar and ask the servers for wine recommendations." - bryan kim, matt tervooren

Google
My favorite wine bar in Park Slope with absolutely wonderful garden, that got full of greenery this year! Romantic experience.

Google
Stumbled on this gem! Great selection of wine reasonably priced. Enjoyed the selection of cured meats and cheese. The ambiance was absolutely amazing cozy warm inviting and a beautiful back yard. But what really is impressive is the staff, friendly kind and knowledgeable had a really great conversation and looking forward to my next visit! Thanks for everything guys!

Google
Pretty sure their mac and cheese blew up my stomach. Only go to enjoy the wine and some lovely company. Cute backyard/garden, COVID-era roadside seating (formerly), cool breeze with windows open during spring/fall, dimly lit/moody atmosphere around the bar.

Google
My husband loves this place and their mac and cheese. When they first opened the portion was large now it's small but according to my husband still very delicious. Service is good. Wine selection is great and the outdoor space is wonderful in warmer weather.

Google
As far as wines go, they have a good selection. Food is definitely lacking. Beet salad had no taste, bread was a bit stale. Added salt on top of the very salty paté was totally unnecessary! Some of the charcuterie was good but not all. Would come back only to have wine, no food!

Google
Loved it....great food, wonderful wine selection & great atmosphere! Will definitely be going back. Jason our host was attentive & very pleasant! Great place with social distancing, I am trying to support local places even more & love this one!!

Google
Have come here a few times over the years when visiting friends in Park Slope. There's always people, service is good whether you're sitting down or at the bar, and the food is tasty without breaking the bank. Usually get charcuterie but this time we got the mac and cheese, arugula salad, and meatballs. All were good. Good whisky cocktails, and always have a decent cava by the glass.

Nice place to meet up with friends to catch up. They have a good wine and small plate selections . Staff is very friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
I love Brookvin as a neighborhood, high scale, wine bar. I've been here with friends and family and we always have a great wine! Their variety is impressive and I don't think anything on the menu is bad. If you visit during the happy hour, be sure to get the mac and cheese!

Yelp
We visited Brookvin on a weekday evening, a great bar area. We thought the $10 happy hour wine selection was decent (red, white, rose). Also ordered a Mac&Cheese, salad, and cake to share. We were seated at the front with the open window, great vibe! Staff is very attentive and friendly!

Yelp
Found this place after dinner at Baciccia. It had a great ambiance. I loved the cucumber martini! Had to get two it was so good!

Yelp
Have been here a handful of times and have had good experiences! They are one of the few small bars in the city I have been to that have sparkling red wine (not sure if they have anymore), but it's one of my favorite drinks to get. Very chill vibe and ambience. The slides are really good as is the hummus. I thought the charcuterie board was ok. Such a gem in Park Slope!

Yelp
I do like this place but honestly every time I come here things aren't super consistent. Picked up the pulled pork sandwich, completely different sauce/braise then the last time I stopped in.

Yelp
Neat little spot with some great Happy Hour deals and tasty food - and of course, an extensive list of wine options. Would recommend. I popped by here with 2-3 friends at the end of a long walk across Prospect Park - we had no idea where we were headed and just wanted a fun, not-too-pricey spot to grab a few drinks and some food. Luckily we came late afternoon, on a Monday - just in time for some prime Happy Hour deals (something like $6 for draft beers, $8 for select glasses of wine, and $7 - $9 for some fancy Mac 'n' Cheese with bacon bits). I stuck to the Happy Hour menu items and was well-pleased; my friends got a glass of warm Mulled Wine (probably one of the best I've had in NYC) and a glass of orange wine (which I'd never tried before and was surprisingly good). Service was friendly, the decor and ambience was cute and intimate but not cramped. Potentially juuust past my comfort zone, price-wise, unless it's Happy Hour - but not exorbitantly costly either way. Again, feels like a neat spot either way. If I'm in the area and need a place to get a nice glass of good wine, will likely drop by again.

Yelp
Brookvin has a really nice, mellow vibe. It's a nice-looking place, the bartenders are friendly, the wines are really good and they have some decent food offerings. (Recommend the soups, the chicken pot pie, and the macaroni and cheese) I like that this is the type of place I can come alone for happy hour and depending on the night, I might chill on my own or I might end up chatting with people that I meet there.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stopped by this place to just relax and have a few glasses of wine. We came on a Wednesday night, and we were able to get seated right away without reservations. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived. This place was very nice. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We did not get a chance to try any of the food they have here, but it looked good. We came for just the wine, and the wine choices we had were excellent. This is the perfect spot to stop by when in Park Slope.

Yelp
We like this place although we miss the kielbasa on the menu. Nice environment on a slower night - food and drinks were good.

Yelp
Awesome little neighborhood spot with a lovely selection of wine! Their cocktails are great as well and we love the build your own charcuterie menu! (Highly recommend the Camembert!) Perfect spot for a drink and a nibble! The food menu also has some more substantial items as well as some small bar snacks too! They have a great happy hour as well! This is going to be my new go-to in the neighborhood!

Yelp
While the fear of COVID-19 has taken away indoor dining (rightfully so), I've really enjoyed seeing how creative local restaurants have been in getting up and running again. More than how they do it, I'm just happy they are doing it because man oh man do I miss everything. Brookvin is no exception--not only have they converted their front window into a super convenient pick up station but they have some fun deals throughout the week. Take out liquor has probably been the only bright spot in this lockdown hell, and I was so happy when Brookvin, one of my fav wine bars, opened back up. Monday's they are offering $20 for a good sized Mac N Cheese entree and two glasses of wine to go. When I saw the chalkboard advertising this my first thought was "oh HELL yeah." Thankfully it did not disappoint, the Mac n Cheese was pleasant and a little mild--not too intensely cheesy or goopy but perhaps lacking a little flavor. The rosé in particular was out of this world considering I was drinking it from a little plastic cup. Perhaps $20 is a little steep for what it is, but I'm happy to spend it--god knows I woulda at the bar with just two glasses of wine anyhow. I will definitely have to come back for more take out wine, it seriously makes me too happy. Glad you're up and running, keep up the great work!

Yelp
We love the wine selection. Being Covid aware, we appreciate the outdoor patio. Our only wish is that there would be a vegan option on their menu.

Yelp
Nice place. Friendly staff. They make some tasty cocktails. And have a functional outdoor seating area. In the colder months it's nice to saddle up to the bar and have a glass of wine. Decent selection of wines. Small plates are a bit overpriced, I've only tried the mac and cheese. I've mainly only gone during happy hour (til 7pm) as the wines are a little pricey otherwise. Relaxing atmosphere nice for an after work drink and catching up with a friend or reading the news. One annoying thing is they sometimes close earlier than their posted closing time on Google. This happened one time on Monday, which is the one night they offer their happy hour until "closing". I walked in at 8:57pm, they close at 10pm. Was told they had already done last call. I mentioned that they close at 10, answer was "yeh, it's sorta based on flow".

Yelp
Unintentionally ended up at Brookvin for the end of Happy Hour on Friday evening. A wonderful wine bar that has a manageable, but highly diverse and delicious wine list, and arguably an even better kitchen. Quality: It is great to find another excellent wine bar in the Park Slope area. They have figured out the right balance of wines and food, and established a comfortable, but casual atmosphere. We started out with wines off the Happy Hour menu, I had the Fado red wine, while my girlfriend went with the Arrumaco rose, both were solid. We later shifted gears and selected a bottle of the Bieler "La Jassine" Cotes Du Rhone Villages, which was an excellent follow-up. The food was great as well. We ordered the Chicken Liver Mousse Pate, which was rich and creamy and a wonderful compliment to our Charcuterie and Cheese items. We only ordered Prosciutto for meats, but for cheese went with the Manchego Curado, La Tur, and Bucheron. Do not miss the Bucheron, a soft cheese that just melts as you eat it, but the others were solid as well. I also love that each cheese comes with a jelly pairing, the jalapeno one was especially fun. And you will receive a ton of delicious toast with each item, just a little burnt and drizzled in olive oil. Quantity: The first time I think I have ever seen a place give more bread than you need with the different Charcuterie and Cheese items. It helps fill you up and it did not hurt that the bread was excellent. Value: $8 for the Happy Hour Wines. $12 for the Chicken Liver Mousse Pate. $10 for each Charcuterie or Cheese item, but the price goes down as you select multiple items. Ambiance: Brookvin is a wine bar located in the southern area of Park Slope. They currently have outdoor dining in a structure in front of the bar, a more regular outdoor dining area in a cute patio in the back of the space, and spread out tables and bar seating inside. The outdoor seating went quickly on this beautiful evening, so we ended up at a table in the back of the indoor space. It did have a nice window and open door so we at least got to enjoy some of the weather. It has a very casual feel, maximizing coziness. An old fireplace sits near the back and it isn't hard to imagine having a drink on a cool or rainy evening. The music was quiet, but they played bright and lively pop music to get folks into the weekend. Crowd: On a perfect Friday evening, reservations were a requirement. Though I would guess it is frequently the situation on weekends, regardless of weather. Service: Extremely friendly service. Even though they needed us to leave for the next seating of guests, they did it in a very kind manner, which is rare. Parking: Limited street parking on the nearby residential streets.

Yelp
Two words: Hidden Gem. I've lived in the area for a year and have walked by Brookvin more than a hundred times. It's a small, unsuspecting place from the outside. Step inside to a dim, calm, welcoming atmosphere. You'll feel instantly sexy. The outdoor patio is where we chose to sit even though it was lightly drizzling. The staff made sure our table and chairs were dry before we sat. We came on a Tuesday night around 6:00, so we made it to happy hour before 7:00. There are 3 wines that are on happy hour. The rose was super delicious. Brookvin is a tapas bar. We ordered 3 dishes- prosciutto, meatballs, and the rice cakes. The best dish were the rice cakes! They were moist on the inside and were salty/crispy on the outside as they should be. The prosciutto plate was standard and the meatballs were fresh with a light red sauce. I left with a happy belly. The service was amazing. I can't wait to come back over the summer to sit out on the patio. Brookvin is the perfect little place for a romantic date. Mwah, bonsoir!

Yelp
The manager made very hostile, passive aggressive comment on tip amount we left, then refused to give me new recept to correct my apparent mistake. The tip amount difference what she was so mean about was about $3 or 4. I was more than happy to correct it, but was not even given opportinity (she said "you are already taking too much time of mine, good bye." ) I think the attitude and meanness she presented was neither necessary nor justifiable over whatever the misunderstanding of the situation which could have been resolved easily. She seemed overly stressed out for some reason (I am sure it wasn't just about $3) but why would she put that on customer and why would anybody go to a bar/business to get that kind of experience? In any way I would stay really far away from this place & never going back.

Yelp
Things started well enough. Our party of three ordered food, wine, and cocktails throughout the afternoon. We were there a few hours, but at no point did we hear of a limit on how long we could be at the table. At about 6:45pm, our server informed us that a reservation of four was due at 7:00pm and he needed the table. We were a bit surprised because this was the first we'd heard of the time limit, but we complied and asked to close our tab. Our bill was $165.00, not including the 20+% tip I left. We paid and when our server picked up the check, he informed us that the party of four had, indeed, arrived. We finished our drinks and left the table. As we were leaving the bar, we noticed how empty the place was. The back garden was pretty full but the inside and seating out front were both empty. We didn't see anyone waiting for a table of four. At about 7:05pm, while still waiting for our Uber, I went back in to see if the table was, in fact, taken by the party of four who had supposedly already arrived. Not only was the table empty but it had been split into two empty tables. And no one was waiting. Our server was no where in sight. This was completely uncalled for, and wildly strange, behavior. At worst case, our server could have said, "hey, we have a 7pm reservation for the garden, but we can move you inside or to our street side seating" as they were empty. Why lie? Why rush us out? We were spending money and enjoying a wonderful afternoon. And the place was dead, I understand how tough it's been for the food and beverage industry during the pandemic, and I have done what I can to support them during this time. I've spent some good times and good money in Brookvin and have never been asked to cut an evening short. I'd like to think tonight was an aberration, maybe there was some misunderstanding, but from everything I saw, our server decided that we'd been there long enough, so he lied that the table was needed by another party when it clearly wasn't. We weren't drunk nor were we loud. We're simply enjoying our afternoon. I typically don't take to Yelp for something like this. I understand the industry and support it as much as I can. Today was different. On the way home, we checked reservations for Brookvin to see how busy they were going to be tonight. Almost all time slots were open. In fact I don't remember seeing anything booked, but there may have been a few. I won't be coming back and I will recommend to others to follow my lead. There are too many other places that need, deserve, and appreciate my business.

Yelp
I love this place for drinks! It is easy to reserve a table and the waiters are so nice. It is a small intimate place but if you come on a weeknight there is no trouble reserving a table. They are so accommodating. I have been here for several girls night outs on a weeknight and we were always able to get a large table for many people. They are able to combine tables to accommodate as well. They have a great selection for drinks and I loved their rose Prosecco. Their pours are huge too! They definitely do not skimp on their pours. I felt like each wine pour was a glass and a half so after two wines I was definitely feeling it! They also have an outdoor space that looks really cute for when the weather is warm. The b69 runs right in front of them and so it's easy to get to!

Yelp
A fabulous local wine bar with excellent small plates and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. A real gem in Park Slope.
google avatar

Yelp
Brookvin excels at its primary goals--they have a great and varied wine selection and excellent cheese plates. If you like wine and cheese (and if not, I mean...why???) it's a great location for both--with a lovely outdoor seating area in the backyard where you can indulge in a delightful setting at your leisure, to boot. A couple of their other small plate options are impressive as well--they have a stunningly excellent mac 'n cheese, a very tasty chicken pot pie, and a varying seasonal menu of crostini plates that are generally good. These small plates are, well... particularly small though. Don't plan to share, or stock up accordingly! I'd stick mostly to that cheese--and especially wine--though. Cocktails I've tried have been mediocre at best--honey-thyme whiskey sour was overly tart and disappointing, and even a standard old fashioned wasn't quite up to snuff. Draft beer options are quite limited and uninspired. They have a great happy hour deal until 7pm Tu-Fri and until 5pm Sat-Sun on house wines, draft beer as well as mac and cheese and a selected crostini. Perfect for the wine and small plates they excel at.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed Brookvin yet?!?! This place is an absolute staple in South Slope and I've been happily enjoying their generous happy hours and delicious small bites for the past decade! They have a great and fairly affordable wine selection, delicious cheese and charcuterie and other small nibbles, and the best Mac and cheese I've ever had (definitely add the bacon.) When I'm not in the mood for wine, they make a great dirty martini and friends have always raved about their other cocktails. The aforementioned happy hour include red, white, and sparkling as well as discounts on some of their awesome nibbles. It goes until 7 (plus all damn day/night on Mondays) which actually gives a working person the opportunity to check it out. (WTF are you doing calling 3-5 a happy hour, Pasta Louise?! They have a great backyard and perfectly serviceable outdoor seating in the front (thanks, Covid) and all of the staff I've encountered over the years have been professional, kind, and very knowledgeable about the menus. Easily the best wine bar in the Slope and definitely one of the best in the city.
google avatar

Yelp
We have visited this amazing spot on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. You can make reservations or walk right in. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Their wine specials are to die for as are all of the dishes. You cannot go wrong with any of the small plates. Being a native Texan, I can highly recommend the pulled pork sliders!
google avatar

Eli G.

Yelp
Wine is good. But had to drink it outside on the sidewalk - came in with a disabled veteran friend who had his service dog with him, but they didn't want to let us in the back garden, although we had the right to be indoors. Didn't want to argue. Called 311.
google avatar

Yelp
My BF and I recently discovered this place, and it's hard to resist coming here EVERY WEEK. It's a neighborhood gem. I would expect a place like this to be packed, but even though they take reservations, you can usually walk in and get seated. It's clearly beloved by locals--the atmosphere is relaxed and convivial without being packed. I hope it stays this way! You can't go wrong with the happy hour drinks. I've had both the rose and the white, and they were both fantastic (the white was actually dry). The choose-your-own cheese and meat board was also excellent--one of the best I've had. It is on the pricier side, but hey if you're getting a glass of wine for $8, it's worth spending a bit more on good quality food. Oh and I did I mention the $7 HH mac n' cheese? It looks small, but it's actually the prefect portion for two to share if you plan to nibble on some small plates afterwards. We got the ricotta tartine and meatballs. Gosh, that sauerkraut is on point. They have seating in the garden which is lovely. Highly recommend it if the weather is nice.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks and great service. Could not ask for more out of this neighborhood gem. The happy hour is popular so get there early to get a spot

Yelp
Every time I come here the staff is always impeccable and I have yet to have a bad experience. We ended up trying the pick three to have something to snack on while we drank and chatted. Olives, pickles, and smoked almonds ended up being perfect. I tried out the mulled wine! Perfect especially as it starts to get colder this is definitely going to be a best seller. They also have Malbec on tap and my friend ended up with that! I want to come back and try some of their other food items since we usually only go here for drinks! I am looking forward to going back especially for the mulled wine!

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Best wine bar in Brooklyn imo. Friendly waitstaff doesn't rush or judge you. Delicious small plates. Solid happy hour. Lovely spaces inside and back garden. I almost don't want to tell you about the all-night happy hour on Mondays because you'll all come and I won't be able to get my favorite seat at the corner of the bar.

Robert P.

Yelp
Went here about two years ago. The waitress/ bartender (possibly manager) was rude and on her cellphone all the time. I tried again and she is still there but this time was rude and nasty. The place itself isn't bad but waitstaff can really ruin your experience.
google avatar

Kalia V.

Yelp
I used to come to this place before the pandemic and really enjoyed it, but my trip today ruined any chance of me returning to Brookvin. We were seated outside, among other tables that were there longer than we were, and we were consistently ordering food and drinks. Then, out of nowhere, we were told that a reservation of 4 was coming in soon and we had to give up our table. We understood and wrapped up our bill, then as we're finishing our drink, he came over again and said we need to leave now because the table just arrived. I was embarrassed and felt bad, so of course, my party got up and walked out to find that there was NO party of 4 waiting for the table and when I went back in, they had separated the table into two tables, with no one sitting at either one. I'll never be going back here.

Yelp
I stepped in here this weekend while waiting for Fonda's happy hour to begin. (Yes, lush.) I have been here before though and really like this place. During the winter its warm and cozy and romantic and during the summer when its not sweltering out there is a really pretty back garden. Also, any fancy wine place that calls their bathroom 'water closet' gets several gold stars in my book. The first time I came here I split a half bottle of wine, which I like that option if you aren't here during their happy hour times wine can get a bit expensive. I also had one of their cheese plates and charcuterie which are quite delicious. They give you a good hunk of cheese so don't get intimidated by the prices also their small plates menu is always changing based on availability. I love a place that has great wine on tap. We settled in for their happy hour special this time of my going and all got a glass of the Langhe Rosso I believe from Piedmont, Italy. It was very delicate and refreshing for a hot summer day. We also split an order of their maple sugared pecans which are half off during happy hour as the rest of their 'snacks'. Only $2 and a very small bowl. But I didn't expect an enormous bowl of candied pecans to be honest. I want to come back and enjoy the garden though. I love a good wine bar.

Yelp
So glad this place reopened April 1st, we went back on opening day & really has missed it. The small plates are delicious & just perfect. The Mac n cheese is a favorite, the wine selection is great and just wonderful staff. Exceptional experience every time, already made another reservation. Would definitely go once a month, more if it was closer to me! The best little wine bar we've found.

Yelp
You work too much. Hit happy hour at 3:00 on Fridays Lovely garden and tasty small plates like this mushroom tartine

Yelp
I've been to Brookvin many times over many years that I have been around and living in Park Slope and I can tell you that this is the place to go. Don't believe me? Then answer a few simple questions: Do you like wine? Excellent, they have a fantastic selection as well as dynamite happy hour glasses. Do you like food? They have lovely snacks, tapas like dishes and make an amazing mixed cheese and salami plate (though if you are looking for a full meal, this will disappoint, otherwise its excellent). How about ambiance? Do you want a spot with rustic decor, a cute outdoor patio, dim lighting, good service and a regular crowd that keeps the noise level at a good volume so you can enjoy your glass of wine? This is your spot. Anything else to know? Prices are reasonable for the Slope and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Any night of the week if you need a glass of wine, this is an excellent spot to go. Enjoy!

Yelp
Came here on Saturday with some friends after a bottomless mimosa and sangria brunch and a bar hop. We ducked in here as we waited for a Mexican bar/restaurant nearby to open at 4pm. Brookvin is a pretty cute place with reasonably priced wines that are delicious and nicely curated to only have a select few, but good, bottles. We all went with their happy hour rose which was $6 for a glass and it was delicious and refreshing - not overly sweet., but lightly fruity. During happy hour their $4 snacks become $2 and thank goodness because as delicious as they all sound on the menu, snack portions are painfully small. The small container/plate they come served in is smaller than your average ashtray. A friend and I decided to split an order of their Maple Pecans, they were absolutely delicious - but again with such a painfully small serving I would have been annoyed by paying anything over $2. Friendly staff, lots of snacks and interesting sandwiches on their menu make this a place I would return to...during happy hour.

Yelp
My #1 favorite spot in all of NYC for many years. I loved this place pre-covid and continue to love Brookvin & it's thoughtful, friendly staff. They've shifted to accommodate all outdoor dining and we felt extremely safe during our recent visit. The backyard is beautiful, breezy & quiet and I saw they recently added some additional seating out front with cute little planters. Please go here and support a wonderful small business - highly recommend!

Yelp
Solid wine selection, good vibes and very friendly service. Nice venue for a date, catching up with friends or pre-dinner drinks.

Yelp
I don't know what all the hype is about. Typical Park Slope spot- not classy (not sure where other reviewers get this from). Mostly guys in dirty T shirts and baseball caps. The place REEKS of marijuana - makes it very uncomfortable when dining. Staff are curt as well which doesn't help.

Yelp
Brookvin was unassuming from the outside and very cute inside. Dimly lit, quaint, decent service and cocktails (I didn't have the wine). The back patio looked pretty nice as well.

Yelp
Great food and good affordable wine selection. The meatball and polenta dish and theirs salad were delicious! The service was great too.

Yelp
What a neighborhood gem! I accidentally arrived during happy hour and was delighted by the fair prices, cozy vibe, delicious Mac and cheese and tasty wine. The owner and bartender were both so welcoming towards me. I have hearted this place as a spot to take my parents, visiting friends and my partner during many future visits.

Yelp
I have to start the post by saying that I absolutely adore this place. The food is wonderful, the service is absolutely amazing, plus their wine list is off the hook. The only reason I have an issue with Brookvin is how often they don't turn the ac on, if the temperature outside is above 75 then it would be a smart business move to keep their customers happy and comfortable. Instead of having a few glasses of wine and a bunch of appetizers, we had one glass each and one small charcuterie dish and went to a different bar. It was 85 degrees outside and they had open air ventilation. Until they use their ac when it's over 75 degrees outside, I will probably go else where. We also saw 2 different sets of customers come in and leave after feeling the heat inside. With how many refrigerators and draft machines they had on, it probably 10 degrees hotter inside.

Yelp
You know when you beat yourself up because you find a gem and wonder how it took you so long to find it? Yeah? This! Brookvin! If there were more stars to give, I'd be giving them left, right and center here. What an awesome and fun evening my friends and I had the other night. The space was designed perfectly for what they are selling. WINE AND CHEESE! YUM! There's a beautiful outdoor area with plants, so very charming. Indoors is rustic, dim and cozy. Firstly, we walked in with only half our party because we weren't sure if the others were coming. Our waiter, let's call him Sally :) offered us the option of sitting outdoors and then moving indoors when they come. Also because they close the outdoor section at 10. We did order some wine while still sitting outdoors but our friends arrived shortly after so we just moved indoors and continued the night there. Everybody ordered different wines and small eats. All the dishes were incredible and bursting with flavor. I will say that I know I made Sally's life difficult by asking him to choose which wine to serve me, but he truly did not disappoint. I love when the people helping me dine out are so charming and friendly. It makes the night that much better. I am so glad I now have Brookvin on my radar. This will definitely be the first of many nights here.

Yelp
Good food, great drinks, and an incredible staff. Walked by this place last night not realizing how popular it was and that we should have made a reservation in advance. Sincerely lucked out and was able to sit down only after a few minutes. Owner & Staff could not be more kind (and safe!). Definitely get the chicken pot pie and the pumpkin manhattan (drink). A true gem in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Hands down the best Covid dining experience - tables VERY spaced out, staff sweet and safe, and the prefix in the backyard dining is so nice! Everything from the wine and food and service - superb!!! Can't wait to come back

Yelp
The potentially lovely garden was ruined by disgusting smoky barbecue wafting through, and there is nothing to be done about that when you stick a business in the middle of residential backyards. Avoid, unless you prefe to sit inside and don't mind a somewhat stingy pour for the price.

Yelp
This is a great little wine bar and tapas spot hidden in Brooklyn. Good prices and not to busy for Sunday afternoon. Many good food choices and drinks to choose from. I will be back when I am in the area. The staff was very attentive, but maybe because I was at a party, nevertheless great food, drinks, wine, space and service.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too packed. Very cute & intimate spot for a candlelit dinner. We ordered a small bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate to share. The portion was pretty big with generous slices of cheese. I really enjoyed the environment.

Yelp
We stopped here after a long walk to get a glass of wine. Were welcomed in very warmly by a man who seemed like he may have been the owner. Checked our vaccinations and were greeted by name. Several staffers were by our table to drop food/drinks/water and all of them were just ridiculously friendly and seemed happy to be there. Snacks were good. We got the mozzarella salad and some paté. The backyard can be a little buggy and we hadn't sprayed up but they were super nice about us moving inside. I don't know, we just really loved our experience here and wished we lived closer because we'd definitely be here ALL the time if we did! It's just a perfect neighborhood bar, period.
