new cozy matcha spot in austin. they have a limited and simple menu only offering four different drinks. milk and sweetness levels are adjustable with no extra charge. i got the strawberry matcha with whole milk and regular sweetness. i loved it, would definitely come again to try the cream top. the inside is tiny and not meant for hanging out, more of a in and out. the service is friendly and fast with the matcha being poured into your drink right in front of you. we didn’t experience any wait when going at 10am!

Tried Brooms Matcha today and I’m still dreaming about it! This spot is a must for matcha lovers. It’s AAPI-owned and you can taste the quality in every sip! The matcha is imported straight from Japan and honestly might be the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha with Cream Top and it was phenomenal! A perfect balance of earthy matcha, sweet strawberry, and that creamy finish that ties it all together. So smooth, not overly sweet, and super fresh. Heads up: they have limited hours and a small menu, but what they do offer is clearly made with care and intention. I waited about 10 minutes to get my drink, which felt totally reasonable considering the quality and the fact that everything is made to order. I did go closer to closing during a bad thunderstorm. So I got to go to Broom Matcha soft opening! I got a strawberry matcha and wow the strawberrry syrup was really like nothing I’d ever had before it tasted like fresh ripe and sweet strawberry Jam🍓. I loved the simplicity and clarity of the space and menu. Staff was down to earth and polite- and very attentive despite the huge crowd for just two baristas! I applaud their work. The matcha was umami, light, refreshing and soft, with a nice creamy nutty flavor very full and rounded. I’m excited to see what their expanded menu will be like- I do think it could’ve been a bit stronger, but I tend to always like an xtra strong matcha. The space was minimalist and really awesome! I’m glad we have something like this here in Austin. Can’t wait to come again!❤️🍵

The best matcha I’ve had in the US! The drinks are thoughtfully whisked by hand, and the owners are the sweetest. Plus, they have the cutest little figures everywhere. Can’t wait to come back 🍵💚

Very small get your drinks and go which is totally fine. The oatmilk matcha latte with less sweet was so good. I wish they were open more than saturday and Sunday 😭 small and cute inside and everything is made right in front of you and they offer punch cards

This place is legit!! Got Matcha Latte and I've never had such rich and deep matcha in the U.S. before. They source it straight from Uji, Kyoto -- no wonder it tastes so authentic. It instantly reminded me of Japan. I waited about 20 minutes in line, and it's a small shop without seating inside, but the service was great. My friend got the strawberry matcha and that was super tasty too! Next time, I'm definitely trying the hojicha.

Definitely one of the best matcha you can find in Austin!! There are not a lot of places where you see the love and care taken to each drink, which is made in front of you. There are so many bad matcha spots in Austin that it makes you truly appreciate the places that do it right. The menu is simple and short. I got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk which was so good! The strawberries on the bottom added the perfect amount of sweetness. The only con is that there is a long line (for good reason).

Most matcha, if not all matcha, in Austin is terrible, dull, gritty, and/or astringent. This one is pretty good. Hand whisked with traditional tools, this matcha might be a bit pricey but it's worth it. Some notable things I liked: - the hojicha is surprisingly better than their matcha, but their matcha is still good. I normally never prefer hojicha so it surprised me a lot. - when I asked for less sweetness, it actually was less sweet. You would think that isn't surprising, but so many places still drown it in sugar. I appreciate that it's not like that here. - the wait was almost an hour for one of the first weekends they opened. It's like that for everything in Austin now though - it is so hot in there lol - the service is mindful and whoever wrote on our labels that day has gorgeous handwriting????? Overall the best matcha place in Austin. Don't skip, but it would be good if this place had a more permanent situation so we can look forward to a new wave of tea in Austin.

By far my favorite matcha place in Austin!!! Probably one of the best matchas I've had in the US period!!! The matcha is earthy and floraly and not too sweet!! I got the matcha latte with oat milk and it was perfect!! I know they're temporarily closed but hopefully they come back soon!!!

Small and to order so the line can get long during the soft opening weekends but worth it. It doesn't take long to get your drink after you order. The cream top is a must if you like a creamier matcha. Excited to come here more often.

Ordered the Matcha latte w/ Cream, Oatmilk, reg sweetness. Drink was really delicious I highly recommend adding the cream on top. We didn't wait too long in like ~ 15 min wait on a Sunday at 11:30

Worth the wait; best matcha; must get the cold foam on top, love watching them pour the matcha on the scale. They broke it down into a science.

i first walked in, and the environment was small and a bit warm for comfort but still homey, niche, and cute. we had to wait a while in the line outside, but im sure its died down by now. i got the matcha with strawberry on the bottom as well as creamer, and it was delicious. they make the matcha from scratch right in front of you, a which made the experience all the more interesting. the taste was good, however im surprised there was that long of a line.

The matcha tasted good as I was drinking it. Afterward, it left a bitter taste that did not go away for a full day. /:
