The Best Teriyaki in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"What if we told you that one of the most memorable teriyaki experiences can be found in a gas station parking lot? Enter Bro’s Teriyaki, a Mexican-owned teriyaki joint that has been serving char-grilled perfection out of two food trucks since 2021. Bro’s has two locations, one in Ballard and the other at a Shell gas station in SoDo. Why does it work so well? Firstly, every order comes with a free beverage — a rarity nowadays as far as teriyaki joints go. Second, the serotonin boost from receiving a piping hot plate and ice cold Jarritos from a food truck on a sunny Seattle day is an irreplaceable experience." - Joey Carreon

Google
This is my official teriyaki place. After some neighborhood exploring, this one is the best. Generous, perfect portions. Teriyaki has a great char and sauce ratio. Katsu has perfect crunch and plenty of meat. Getting just as pricey as any brick & mortar restaurant, but still on par with competition…

Google
SO good! Seriously the best teriyaki we’ve had in a while. Really nice grill on the chicken, great sauce. We also got a fried rice, which had a ton of chicken chunks and some nice sesame oil based sauce. Loved it, much better than your average teriyaki! Our new regular for sure.

Google
The teriyaki was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. I got the chicken and beef combo and they were both great. The salad is just lettuce and dressing though; I'd love to see some more variety of vegetables in the salad.

Their steamed white rice is fresh and chewy like sushi rice! Ordered chicken katsu and it was super good! The portion is huge, good enough for two meals!

Google
This is solid Seattle style teriyaki and good portions for the price. Tried it because they are open Sundays but it’s my go-to for the area now. I read reviews before I went and people were complaining about mushy rice and not enough sauce but that seems to be fixed now. Also it’s teriyaki, you order chicken, spicy chicken or beef and you try to eat it all but you fail and eat the rest 2 hours later. You don’t order orange chicken and wonder why you aren’t at Panda Express Only dislike was it wasn’t the standard thin, sweet mayo+vinegar salad dressing but that might have been my mistake when ordering

I got the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken combo with gyoza and fried rice. We also got a Mongolian beef with rice. I enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back. Each order came with a side salad as well. When my order said it was ready for pickup it was.

Google
This place is seriously awesome, especially for a food truck. The portions are big, the food tastes great, and the prices are very fair. I highly recommend the chicken yakisoba, the teriyaki chicken, or the fried rice. 10/10 spot 👌

Google
Not sure how this place has such good reviews...we got 3 plates and 1 rangoons order for $68. The rice in all dishes was completely overcooked, like eating mush - just inedible. The Mongolian beef is more like minced beef soup while the salmon and chicken were dry and tasteless. The fried rangoon was raw dough on the inside. The 2 guys working were super nice but we would not go back here. Waste of money.

Yelp
Do you remember those Chinese take-out places that gave giant portions for a decent price? Those places are mostly gone now. They can't stay in business with $8 plates anymore. Bro's Teriyaki is like that, but has both Japanese and Chinese--It's Chinese food is 2nd to the Teriyaki and Japanese comfort food like Katsu Curry. Thats not to say the Chinese dishes are bad. They are quite good, and super generous. The pricing is about the same as a lot of other places $15-$18 per entree, but the difference is that you get a huge plate of food. It can easily be 2 meals. It's like those awesome, generous Chinese take-out places of the old days, but price adjusted for modern times.

Yelp
Huge portion but pretty bad chicken teriyaki. Food was fast (it's a food truck) and the guys were really nice. Not a terrible price to be honest for the portion but the chicken was very dry and rice was mushy. Maybe try going on a weekday lunch rush. Had this over the weekend and it was lazily made.

Yelp
Huge portion! It's 2 meals for me! When you break it down like that... this place is a steal! For Ballard it's my fav spicy Teriyaki.

Yelp
Great teriyaki at a good price. Order to go and it's meal you will be happy with. The guys in the truck are always nice to interact with.

Yelp
It would've been 5 stars if the food was ready when I picked it up considering I called it in 25 mins ahead of time. I love teriyaki and this is the first time I'm having it from a food truck. I got chicken and beef combo and it taste great! Sauce is in a creamier side and they don put too much of it which really better compared to other restaurants that slather the sauce and drown their meet. Me having a bigger appetite, I usually finish an order pf teriyaki but not this time. $17 for two meals is a great deal.

Yelp
With the lack of teriyaki joints in the Ballard neighborhood I'm glad Bros Teriyaki came in! Huge portions (my wrist was sore carrying two plates back to my place ) that easily could be split into two. Overall, hit the spot.

Yelp
The food is so delicious. I've gone three times in one week! I have tried the Fried rice Chicken and Shrimp combo, Chicken Teriyaki and Spicy chicken teriyaki. All were great and inexpensive. There are 4 servings in each box. We always have enough for dinner and lunch the next day. They're closed Tuesday's.

Yelp
This is close to the residence I was visiting and could smell the food. I decided to get it for lunch- teriyaki chicken with fried rice. And I had it for leftovers as there was so much. What a value and tasty too! I will order again!

Yelp
Tasty and large portion of food. I really like the chicken teriyaki, sweet and sour chicken and veggie fried rice. Fast and friendly service!

Yelp
great food but their hours are never what they say they are on google and they close way earlier than they say on weekends. Again LOVE the food, but these misleading hours are sending me every time I try to place an order and they're not open... like just fix it on google!!

Yelp
My usual takeout teriyaki place was closed, so I tried Bros Teriyaki since they had a fast delivery time to my friend's apartment. Fantastic experience, I genuinely wish I'd known about them earlier because I'd have been getting food there all the time. Large portions of hot, filling teriyaki for lower prices than I'm used to seeing, along with shockingly good crab rangoons. It's a little bit more of a walk from my new apartment, but I think I'm going to be using the excuse to get some exercise.

Yelp
Great service, tasty teriyaki and great price! Definitely recommend this spot. It is new to ballard but in my opinion it is the best in ballard hands down!
