Have you ever stopped to wonder why some places have low star ratings? I used to give places the benefit of the doubt, but not anymore. After my recent experience, I’m done with that.
I had been craving BBQ for a few days, and on our last night of the visit, we decided to try this place for dinner. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and we opted to sit outside since it had just rained.
When we walked in, there was no hostess in sight. We waited a few minutes, assuming she was busy. When she finally came over, I said "two, please." She grabbed two menus and walked away without a word, expecting us to follow her like lost puppies. She tossed the menus on the table and left without saying a single word—no greeting, nothing.
We sat down, looked at the menu, and took in the busy décor. We waited, and waited, and waited for a server. We spent the time discussing different menu options. When we looked over, the hostess was sitting at the front on her cell phone. She stayed there until we finally got up and left.
We waited far longer than we should have. I can't comment on the food because we would have starved before getting any, but the lack of service was evident. Places get the reviews they deserve, and this one has earned its low star rating.
To the owner/manager: you might as well close up because you can’t run a business without customers, and you won’t have customers without service. This was such a disappointment. There are plenty of other options within walking distance that actually want your business. Do yourself a favor and keep on walkin'!
