Brothers Brew Coffee Shop

Brothers Brew is a local favorite with a homey atmosphere and the only place that was open in the historic district on a Tuesday for lunch on this day in November. They have a nice selection of offerings, some very creative. You order at the nostalgic counter and later, your name is called and your plates are delivered to your seats. We opted for a Pastrami and a Reuben, both on marbled rye, loaded with nice gooey cheese. I would have liked it better if it had been grilled with butter. Think they skipped the Russian dressing. Utz chips ok as was the sliced pickle. Nice friendly staff. We would return.

The donut was pretty good but the iced coffee and iced lattes were gross. Worst drinks I’ve ever purchased. Do not recommend the coffees but donuts sure. The service was below average but nothing horrible.

The donuts are amazing and all home made. The shop itself is a homey place where groups of people hang out and talk. I could not find a plug for my laptop and ultimately figured that I'd give up and enjoy the place for what it is: a great, local café with awesome donuts and a hardworking staff.

We had coffee, breakfast, and dinner at Brothers (and Brackett's) and could not have been happier with each experience. The staff is so incredibly welcoming, the food was delicious, and if you are going somewhere else for doughnuts in the morning, you are doing it wrong. Do yourself a favor and try at least breakfast or dinner at Brothers!

The breakfast sandwiches we had were very delicious and worth every penny. Not sure if they make the bagels themselves but they tasted very fresh and unlike store bought. The iced coffee I ordered was not good. It tasted old and funky. It had a weird film on it. I bet their espresso drinks would have been much better. Go with that choice if you want coffee there.

Cute little coffee shop with a surprisingly large array of very tasty pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Kind and efficient servers; also, fantastic value for money. Highly recommend!

Such a pleasant, relaxed environment with the hustle and bustle of a place that clearly offers great service and even better food. We're not from around here and we stopped in for breakfast... the employees were so sweet and the food was perfect. We asked for coffee with cream and sugar and the employee made it for us and it came out perfect. The donuts were so fluffy and delicious too!

What a fantastic place. The food, servers and service were all as good as you can get. The macciato was made in Italian size and was absolutely brilliant. The place extremely busy but not frenetic and one can see why it is so popular. Wide range of bagels, doughnuts and pastries.

First time in around 7:30am earlier today. Fast moving line no issue. Several unique coffee roasts. My breakfast appeared in less than five minutes (Bacon Egg Cheese on English Muffin.) Expertly prepared and sliced for convenience. Coffee was a medium Dark Sin; delicious. Deceptively roomy with lots of seating. (More than half the people in line with me took their orders to go.) Lots of street-side parking out front. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return!

Fun spot! Great selection of pastries and food options. Also have a wonder fil beverage selection. Great place to grab a cup of coffee and a bite. Quaint atmosphere and very friendly staff. Also great to grab a cup of something warm and stroll the nearby shops/ art galleries. The donuts are WONDERFUL!!!! Tried multiple varieties. The glazed is one of the best glazed you'll ever try, so be sure to get it and try a flavored option. I had a mocha one day and a chai the next. It gave me what I needed, but wasn't my favorite. Good but not great! With limited selections around its gives you a place for caffeine to start the day.

Small & quaint. Coffee was very nice. Service friendly. I didn't order food but my husband ordered an egg sandwich & said it was excellent! No disappointments here.

Nice little coffee shop in the heart of Rockport! They have a great menu. Their coffee is good. The people are nice. The wait times are sufficient. We moved away and I'll miss coming to Rockport.

The coffee here was pretty good! The ambiance is cute inside and I enjoyed my coffee. Parking is street parking so can be a little hard to come by depending on the season, but we found our way! The service was also nice as well.

Came to get some pastries, and none of the workers are wearing gloves when handling your pastries. They're taking money, touching strangers, phones for Apple Pay and grabbing pastries with tongs but then re-positioning them in the bags with their bare fingers.

We're seasonal visitors from out of state. Let me tell you, coming from a state that has a donut shop on practically every street corner, I've had my fair share of all types. These 2 (Boston cream and jelly filled sugar) are the absolute best I have ever laid my eyes and taste buds on. We happened to be exceptionally lucky this morning when they were temporarily out of Boston Creme...why? Because we waited the extra few minutes to get the next batch as they came out fresh. I don't say this often about donuts, but I believe I had an existential experience biting into that wonderfully fresh, delicate, and aromatic pastry of the Rockport God's. As for the coffee, Dark Sin iced is our choice of the morning. It was a hoppin' place this morning, and all of the employees were gracious, patient, and kind. Service was exceptionally speedy with smiles all around. A great little shop attached to their main restaurant, Brackett's Oceanview. There is plenty of seating that you can even enjoy the ocean view. Do yourself a favor....cheat on that diet, enjoy a donut, iced coffee, breakfast sandwich, scone, ... whatever you desire, you will not go wrong!

Brothers Brew is a go to spot whenever I come to the north shore. I wake up super early on vacation to go rush to get donuts while they last. These are the best donuts I have ever had. Super soft and delicious. The Boston cream and powdered jelly were super good. They are super nice inside and are very welcoming. I definitely recommend coming here!

We wandered into Rockport today, not 100% sure what we would find, given that it was a holiday. We needed a little something and thankfully spotted Brothers Brew on Main Street. The inside is comfy, lots of seating and a nice view out the back onto the water. I ordered a hot tea (English breakfast) and the B-STAC sandwich. The sandwich was very yummy - fresh, yummy ingredients, and a nice portion for the price. My dad ordered a drip coffee (Costa Rican blend) and the sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. The coffee was fine, definitely not bad, but he thought the sandwich was very good and very reasonably priced. Service was pretty quick and friendly, so seems like an overall solid choice for a little coffee shop.

Wonderful local coffee shop/restaurant. The baked good are homemade and delicious. Lots of great specials and open year round which is great for locals.

Went in looking for some recommended donuts, ended up getting a couple that were amazing. The sign showed some breakfast specials so while enjoying the donuts also ordered their skillet breakfast, one with bacon and one with corned beef hash. My wife's words were this is the best breakfast I have had out in a very long time. Truth be told I totally agreed with her, it's a diamond that I never expected. We will make the 45 minute drive to come back often, amazing, great job!!!

Best iced latte ever! Right by the beach and has my favorite donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are always fresh. Every time I go to Rockport this is where I get breakfast.

Love the coffee. I always get the Dark Sin. I usually get a pound of it to bring home for cold brew. The breakfast sandwiches are great and the donuts look delicious - especially the maple bacon (but can't indulge due to gluten). The service is always friendly. It can get a little crowded but have always been able to grab a seat.

Best coffee in Rockport along with excellent selection of donuts and pastries. We had the breakfast sandwiches which were great and inexpensive. Ordering from the bar is fun and straightforward and the staff are lovely. Planning to try to skillets and other fare to see how that is later in our stay.

This is got to be the best coffee shop on the planet. It drove the local Dunkin' Donuts out of business. The pastries are unbelievable as are all the sandwiches. The employees are extremely hospitable and greeted everybody that comes in. This is just a nice place to be.

Local favorite and excellent spot for breakfast. I highly recommend the "dark sin" coffee. Great brew! Wife enjoyed her latte and had plenty of dairy free milk options.

Speedy coffee service & a bounty-ous selection of baked goods! My iced coffee was delicious. The barista worked with my 9 y.o. to ensure that his steamed milk mocha was to his satisfaction. The only drawback I have, is that my plan for the day (and my glutinous night before) did not allow for me to sample ALL of the baked selections (the blueberry cakes were ordered by everyone after me to reinforce my own second-guessing). Thankfully, we found sober room for Boston cream & lemon filled Bismarks. Actually, there is a second drawback, not coming here until my last day in town ruined my operating for repeated visits (this time!).

First the service is great. They're as fast as they can with the volume of people who frequent the business. The food is awesome. Donuts like NO OTHER. If you want a true, real jelly you can only get it here. One thing I notice - in this day where you're asked to tip for buying a cookie - there is none of that. No tip jar, no screen to tap. You decide. Your choice. It's a hometown - caring, hardworking family. They hire local kids working to learn. And they're great!

Brothers Brew feels like more of a diner in terms of the ambiance than a small coffee shop. That being said their coffee is really good and supposedly their donuts are excellent. They were basically sold out by the time we swung by, so we couldn't give them a try. The lemonade/iced Team (Arnold Palmer) was pretty good- not too sweet. There is only another coffee shop in the area on Bearskin Neck, but it was really packed and this was on the way back to our car. Definitely a great option if you're nearby and don't want to wait too long!

Best coffee shop in the area! Very reasonable prices, beautiful location, friendly staff, fresh donuts, and really yummy breakfast sandwiches! Busy on summer mornings and for good reason! Loved coming here each morning while on vacation.

Came in on a whim because I was tired from the night before and NEEDED coffee. I ended up getting an iced latte and my husband the cappuccino. The inside is cute and clean and the employees are nice. We ended up getting two donuts, the fried dough and the butter crunch. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I never thought I'd enjoy a donut more than Mrs. Murphys. Holy wow. A must stop. Quick in and out too!!

This place is the best kept local secret in Rockport. The Grog coffee is outstanding, I actually crave it! They make their own donuts which are the absolute best I've ever tasted. The breakfast sandwiches are big and delicious with just the right amount of everything. The coffee rolls I think must only be available on weekends or they sell out super fast during the week, but definitely try one! Best of all is the staff. Everyone there ROCKS! Even the kids that you can tell are kinda new try really heard to remember your name. Lots of smiles even when they are busy. I can't say enough good things. You gotta try them!

A cute little place right on the main road. They have a lot of breakfast and lunch options. Gets crowded in the mornings, would try to go as early as you can to beat the rush.

Love it here. Wish we lived closer, but are only able to come when we make a trip out to the area. Coffee (hot or cold) have been fantastic. Love the donuts, breakfast sandwiches and pastries here. The service is great too. The environment is a bit crazy with all the people and orders, but the staff has it together and keep a solid attitude with a customer focus. I recommend making it a point to stop by and trying anything. You will not be disappointed.

Enjoyed a late breakfast here on Saturday. By 11am the crowds had thinned and we sat easily at the bar. It has a nice classic almost diner-y feel at the bar and the girls behind the counter were welcoming and efficient. We ordered a black coffee, hot black tea, glazed donut, and two breakfast sandwiches. I was disappointed the drinks were served in to-go cups, given that we were eating there and there was a restaurant in the same space. The tea was loose leaf, though, rather than a simple bag of Bigelow's or Twinings or something. The sandwiches were really good! I loved the thinly shaved ham on mine. Our only disappointment was the eggs - they seemed to be the pre-cooked kind that get warmed up rather than freshly cracked eggs. We didn't ask so I may be wrong here, but the appearance and taste didn't seem fresh. As with the lack of ceramic mugs, I didn't get why they didn't use real eggs when the coffee shop is part of a large restaurant. Maybe the restaurant is a totally separate business? All in all, though, this was a fun place to stop for food and donut was AMAZING! The donuts definitely seem like the things to get here.

Super great place. The jelly donuts are the best in the world. My wife does not like jelly donuts but loved the jelly donut served to us by Charlie. He was such a nice guy. After the donuts were so good we went back for lattes and they were very nice too! If we get the chance, we will definitely make sure to stop in here again.

Wonderful service, great atmosphere! Fresh made cinnamon rolls just came out of the oven when we got here! Yummy! Perfect way to start your day a must when in Rockport!

The donuts here will change your life for the best! Everything in the menu is excellent 10/10. Love it so much!! Wish they left of SUGAR AND NAPKINS AND CREAM !!!!!!!! They are so busy during peak hours I have to kind of get back in line to ask for some more sugar ... and then they ask how much??? They only give me SOME packets ...

Cute diner style spot with a decent espresso and a diner friendly vibe. Not a really sophisticated coffee shop but most will enjoy. We were finishing up our 2020 coffee crawl and had high expectations but unfortunately it's pretty standard here, nothing fancy nothing special no grinds to really write home about. The Norwegian bread is an epic Pass, not really very good at all.

We're on vacating and had to go here daily. Great pastries. I particularly loved the glazed chocolate donut.

The Dark Sin is just as great as everyone makes it out to be. The cinnamon cocoa combo takes it to the next level. I'm sure the hot version is delicious, but the iced version left a little to be desired for the sweet coffee drinkers in my family. They got the iced Dark Sin with cream and sugar, which was literally that instead of cream and simple syrup which is standard at most coffee shops I've been to for iced drinks. This left the coffee "creamy and bitter" in their words instead of the drink they are used to. Next time, I'd ask for maybe an iced Dark Sin vanilla latte? Or maybe just simple syrup? I'm not even sure what they have because the only menu I saw had the sizes and prices and foods, not the drink options of what they have the ability to make. On the other hand, I was very pleased with my iced Dark Sin with cream as I usually only add cream in my coffees. Why the star off? 1 star off for that and that we only got coffee on the second stop in. The first stop had a line wrapped around the seating area and to the door.

We stopped in here today. So reasonable and our breakfast sandwiches and ice coffee's were really good! Totally recommend

The wait can be long, but totally worth it. The iced eggnog late was my favorite, but the iced nitro coffee was also delicious

Best place in Rockport for a quick and satisfying breakfast! I think many people would agree since there's usually a line in the summer (but the line moves quickly). Their egg sandwiches taste 10x better than they look and they have great iced coffee too.

I went on a day trip to Rockport on Saturday. The whole town was pretty empty for the winter, but this coffee shop was a warm, safe haven open even in the off-season. It's located inside of a restaurant, just to the left when walking in. I got a Dark Sin hot coffee and my boyfriend got the same thing iced. It was flavored similar to a chocolate/hazelnut combo. It was flavorful without being overpowering. We split a glazed chocolate donut, which was also very good.

Great iced coffee and good donut. Just wish you had access to your own milk and cream. Cute place, will return on my next Rockport trip.

Stopped in for an iced coffee and donut yesterday. I had the blueberry donut and a coconut crunch donut. I consider myself a donut conesour and let me tell you these were the best donuts I've ever had! I'm kicking myself for not going back to get some to bring home (to Maryland).

Interesting little coffee shop inside of the entrance to a restaurant. Pretty cramped area with limited seating. The service was 5 stars, but the lack of visible menu signage and flavor of coffee brought it down to 4 stars for me. The flavor of the iced latte was not great, but not bad. The espresso and cream balance was not right, which affected the overall flavor as well. They also had a LARGE variety of fresh donuts available for purchase that seemed to be a popular choice from other customers. Felt like more of a quick stop for a cup of joe and a donut, and less focused on specialty or espresso based drinks. Will try again if the area, as I enjoyed the unique vibes and service provided from the employees!

Great food and good morning trip. Best place for doughnuts in the area. Doughnuts and their pastries may be their most talked about items but the egg sandwiches and coffee are up their with any place in the area . The only thing stopping from 5 stars is service/planning of the restaurant. Multiple times I have came here at 7am and they have four flavors of doughnuts at the most. Which is ok but , when you ask about other flavors, the workers look at you like you have seven heads and expect you to be ok with ordering plain doughnuts. In other words do not come prior to 8:30am/9am and expect there to be a variety of doughnut choices.

This is a great place and has given us all joy through the very long winter . Everything is freshly baked and served by friendly staff. Great place to meet with friends for morning snack or a good lunch sandwich and certainly appreciate having a place like this to go to in Rockport .

I was so happy I read to get the "Dark Sin" coffee in another review...because it had me coming back twice more during my weekend get-a-way to Rockport. Go for the coffee and great donut selection...I won't go to camp out or for a quiet coffee shop vibe. Think more diner meets coffee shop and you have this location.

Best donuts EVER!! These were absolutely the best - warm, fresh, tastiest donuts we've ever had! Now I know what a donut is supposed to taste like! Can't wait to visit again, I will eat a dozen!

LOVE Brothers Brew! Great coffee and donuts, made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, and the best part of all: the customer service. It feels like you're having breakfast at a family member's house. And the ocean is right out back if you take your coffee to-go

The recently expanded BB is spacious and comfortable, while still serving terrific baked goods.   The donuts are Unfreaking believable. The plain and butter crunch (sweet rolled oats provide the crunch) donuts may be the best donuts I've ever had -- and we live 20 mins from what I've been calling the best donuts ever for my entire life : Randy's Donuts in Westchester. The BB donuts have a delicate crispy crust and a soft delicious lightly sweet cake center. There is nothing cloying about these donuts, they are utterly delightful. The coffee, my son and husband say, is solid.

This is the ONLY place to get a decent cup of coffee and a delicious donut . The best in town!Love you guys!

A super cozy breakfast spot full of locals and the best doughnuts around. It's consistently good and one of the few places open year round.
