"This Berry Hill burger joint is owned by brothers Jeremiah and Cole James and it’s a great neighborhood hang for live music, drinks, and yes, burgers. What began as a food truck in 2015 is now a fixed location for favorites like the Jumpback Jack burger topped with candied bacon, caramelized onions, jalapenos, pepperjack, and cumin aioli." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, Delia Jo Ramsey

Google
In town on business and found this place. Food, atmosphere, and waitresses were excellent and will definitely come back! The pork rinds were still popping and crackling when they got to our table! Very nice experience!

Very cool burger joint! Very friendly from the time we walked through the door until we left! We went for the catfish but they were out. So we tried the chicken parm po boy and the jack burger. We also had the skins which were still crackling as we ate them. Everything was great! One of the brothers greeted us and was warm, welcoming and inviting! Sorry I can’t remember his name. Also, our waiter was great as well. We didn’t have to ask for anything. She refilled everything on a timely manner. She made sure that we wanted for nothing. She was on it!!! Over all we had a wonderful experience. Looking forward to going back when my husband is drilling (military) in town. Can’t wait to try the catfish next time! Thank again guys for an awesome experience!

I hate leaving anything other than great reviews but my honest experience wasn’t wonderful, unfortunately! The burger and fries both felt very “room temperature”. The burger itself was very average. Quite a thick bun for the amount of hamburger. All burgers on the menu are smash burgers. The fries for sure would’ve been wonderful though if they were fresh! Definitely a good quality fry! With the amount of “burger joints” in Nashville, I probably wouldn’t rush back however, everyone has their own taste and opinions so definitely give it a try! Nice outdoor area to sit out and enjoy the sunshine!

Great service matched with great food! Best sweet potato fries I’ve had in a long time! Burgers were great and loved the buns. Our server was very sweet and helpful!

Google
Drive by this place everyday and finally decided to try it and so glad I did. As soon as I got out of the car, the aroma let me know I was in for a treat. The special today was the double bacon cheeseburger and it was huge and full of flavor. By far the best burger I've had in Nashville. I'm not usually a fan of sweet potato fries, but theirs were incredible - best I've ever had. Tots were great too. Laid back atmosphere and great selection of beers. Can't wait to try some of the other menu items. If I had to give them a knock, I would say they could do a better job cleaning the tables and menu stands - a bit sticky. But after seeing how juicy and wonderful the burgers were, I kinda get it.

One of the best burgers I could ever try, in fact I got two so good it was. It’s a must try in the Nashville area.

Google
What a fun spot to grab some down home comfort food. Lovely patio seating, bar seating and huge portions. The burgers are fantastic and so is the chicken. Save room for some homemade desserts if they aren’t already sold out.

Google
Very impressed, this has to be one of the better Burgers I think I've ever had. Table service with a smile. Really really enjoyed the fries. The jumping jack Burger was amazing. The menu has great variety not the standard stuff you find in every place the sides are great place just really is a Hidden Gem

Yelp
My wife had the shrimp poorboy with a side of gumbo and I had the Uncle Sam hamburger minus onion & tomato with fries. The shrimp were tasty and the poor boy was good. The gumbo was very good but not too spicy. The burger was lightly seasoned and cooked medium. The fries were really good with a light seasoning also. We enjoyed the casual laidback atmosphere with friendly service. We will return.

Yelp
The food here is unacceptable. My fries and burger looked old, tasted like fish and were clearly deep fried in oil that is 20 years old. My daughter and I couldn't eat either of the things that we ordered. We paid and left. Separately, the restaurant needs a deep deep clean. The AC units had so much dirty and dust coming out I can imagine cooking anywhere in this facility.

Tony C.

Yelp
First, let me say this; I have lived in the Melrose since 2004. This place has been run to the ground. The burger is still OK but the people who are hired here continue to slip. I came in today and the bartender and employee were sitting at eh bar listening to TikTok on loudest volume AT THE BAR where we are sitting. I said we are moving to a table to get away from Level 10 TikTok. We moved to table. That did not stop these two k getting their social media on. Customer service is doo doo.

Yelp
As the reviews reflect, I've had a mixed bag of experiences with service here over the years; however, the food consistently hits! I always bring family or friends here when visiting if they ask for a local burger joint. The JumpBack Jack is my favorite so I got it again, my uncle enjoyed the basic Uncle Sam, and my aunt had the creole dressing with the Fried Chicken Salad and raved about it. The steak fries are some of the best I've ever had and my uncle agreed!! Everyone was pleased and we had a great experience being served quickly and checked on throughout our stay. I will say I was a little surprised seeing dogs in crates inside the bar area, overall this place is giving backyard family grill vibes v. formal dining or restaurant which may be helpful to know what to expect.

Julia H.

Yelp
Located in an area with similarly small sized restaurants, this place was quaint and cozy. The restaurant was essentially one room that had tables and a bar. We were served within 10 mins and enjoyed our meals. Everything tasted great. Friendly staff. Parking lot in the back could fit around 12ish cars. Bathrooms available.

Scot K.

Yelp
First time going to Brothers Burger - I will definitely be going back. I'm a burger fanatic and I always get the burger when I go to a new restaurant. If they can cook the burger right chances are they'll be doing other good food. well, I got the jump back burger with some home, cut fries, and it was the best burger I've had in my whole life! The appetizer was spot on as well because I ordered the bang bang shrimp. I'll probably be back a couple of times next week and be a continuous customer from now on because all of this food was phenomenal!!! The buddy that I went with, got his own burger, and it came with a side of fried pork skins that he let me sample. They were off the chain good!

Aspen K.

Yelp
Chicken tenders were soooo good. Fresh, juicy and flavorful. Could easily split an order with someone.

Liv S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Found it by luck. I had the chicken platter and my dad had a burger. He did say the bun to meat ratio was a bit skewed to the bun but delicious tasting. The chicken platter was fantastic! These huge pieces of chicken breast with a herby thin layer of breading. Now here is the cool part. They make all their sauces in house. All three were delicious. Bang bang- Asian twist with a little kick Buffalo- normal buffalo Liquid Gold- a Carolina vinegar-ish sauce with spicy that will sneak up on you after a few seconds All were delicious but I think the Bang Bang was my favorite but Liquid Gold really gave it a run for its money. I love that it is locally owned too. Kinda ironic though is it's called Brothers but there were only women working. Definitely would recommend.

Yelp
Not bad...not bad. Not great but not bad...The burgers were pretty good. The burger patty didn't fill out to all the bread edges but the meat was thick. I had the Caprese, which would have been even better if they had a lamb burger option with the mozzarella, tomato, basil, and balsamic. My son had the jumpback. This being a burger joint and all...they should have more options I think...kind of limited. Hand cut Fries were really good...and pork rinds are a must if you like those kids of things (bubbling excretions off pig skin and fat). Don't think about it, just eat it. Draft choices are just okay. Feels dirty and old but I am sure they clean the floors, right? Parking sucks and really don't know how they can fill all the seats with the parking availability (the next door neighbors will tow you if they get upset also).

Sophia O.

Yelp
I arrived here with a group of friends (with suitcases) after a long flight, and immediately went to the outdoor area to find a seat. We moved around some chairs to accommodate (nobody else was sitting and eating), while a friend of mine went inside to secure a server. She was cursed at by the worker inside who said "you're already *effing moving around the furniture, so I guess you can sit there". Her attitude and attack on us was very rude and off-putting. We immediately left and refused to be waited on. Bad customer service!

A G.

Yelp
The burgers are so juicy and flavorful. Always taste fresh and the jambalaya is delish. I went on a Friday night and there were only two people serving and while there was a wait, they did a good job of still checking on customers and taking orders.

Ray R.

Yelp
Was in the mood for a burger so I looked and found this joint. Reviews were good so we decided to make the 30 min drive to try it out. First it was very clean and the folks friendly and service was good. It's a tiny place not much parking and filled up quickly. But seemed like a cool place if you lived in the neighborhood. The burgers were good, thin Pattie's with really big buns. The buns make the burger look big but remove the bun their isn't much left. The fries were amazing for sure. Overall I was disappointed in the small amount of meat for the price and for that reason this joint doesn't make my best nashville burger list.

Kr H.

Yelp
Trevor is the most fantastic bartender. The food was excellent would highly recommend coming here. My girlfriend super happy coming here. I will be coming back.

Mari B.

Yelp
We have been trying to visit the Nolensville location however was in the area of this location and so glad we stopped by! Now our server Penelope deserves 5 Stars! She was outstanding and full of great recommendations! We got there near close and the kitchen staff was even nice and cheerful, and I'm sure they have had a busy, full day! Had the Strawberry Raspberry Nothing Fancy on tap and it was outstanding! Crisp, refreshing and delicious and pairs great with a burger! Burger itself was outstanding! Cooked well and delicious! Now the bun looked big but when you squish it down, the star is the burger patty itself and the bread is just the vehicle to carry the deliciousness. We opted for sweet potato fries and they were delicious! Nice place, great food and service! Definitely will be back!

Yelp
What an amazing establishment! My wife and I found this establishment by accident. We were coming back from a golf tournament and we were trying to avoid eating back in Nashville, so we were looking for somewhere low-key away from all the Nashville hustle & bustle. The BBJ atmosphere and staff were very welcoming and friendly. We got to meet and chat with one of the owners (Cole), a couple of the servers, and the cooks too! Very welcoming they all were! There was even a regular there (Mr. Juan) that chatted with me and my wife a bit, and was super friendly. He gave us some tourist pointers while visiting Nashville. Now onto the food - it was GREAT! The temp of the oil in their fryers was on point b/c the fries and catfish apps we got were perfectly fried and crispy. Cole recommended a burger (I don't recall which of their burgers it was), but man was it DELICIOUS! The bun wasn't heavy and the burger patty, cheese, bacon, etc. all had a popping, juicy taste. I am telling you all now, if you are ever in the Berry Hill area or visiting Nashville, The BBJ is a must-stop for some cold beer, good food, and good people! The next time we visit Nashville, stopping at the BBJ will definitely be on our To Do List! Y'all Enjoy!!

Taylor R.

Yelp
I will always recommend this location for a burger. Their portions are huge and everything is so tasty. There's a pretty decent beer selection as well and the restaurant has a great outdoor patio area for when the weather gets warmer for you to enjoy your meal there.

Sara Katherine S.

Yelp
A true hidden gem. The food here is incredible. Atmosphere is fun. The sweet potato fries were hands down the best sweet potato fries I have ever tasted. You have to give them a try. :) We will definitely be back.

Frances M.

Yelp
Absolutely awful experience. We walked in while some of my friends were waiting outside. There was no one in the restaurant at all. We asked to sit outside, the waitress or whoever she was cursed at me that we were moving the f word tables around outside without permission. I was in disbelief. So nasty and honestly we left immediately. I can imagine what they do to the food.

Shannon H.

Yelp
We went at lunch time on a Saturday. The place was busy. The service was ok, not the greatest but they were busy. We had 7 people in our party so the tip was automatically added to the bill. She must of thought her service was the greatest by that tip. Their burgers are "smash" burgers so all you taste is bread. I got the Jumpback burger and it was really dry from the big roll it's on. I took have the bread off and made it 100% better. I got a side of tots, they weren't on the menu I just seen someone else eating them and asked for them. They were good. Another person in my party got the catfish poboy, she didn't like it either, said the tartar sauce was weird. Coleslaw was very bland, BUT let me tell you about the pork rinds!!!! They were GOOD! The seasoning they put on them was just right, not too much. And the dipping sauce added a nice touch! I could sit there all day and munch on pork rinds and drink beer but they only had craft beer on draft. I know that's the going thing nowadays but it not my favorite. I'm leaving a 4 star because the food was hot and fresh, the service was ok, the bartender ran circles around the waitress, I hope he got that nice tip! The place was clean. I would try it again, if they changed their "buns" or "rolls". It's just too much bread for a smash burger.

Julie B.

Yelp
Stopped in on a cross country trip. We were so fortunate to find this place. The burger was so good! Jambalaya and Cole slaw were the best we've had in a long time. Server Melinda was very friendly and attentive. Loved her.

Wendy L.

Yelp
Amazing burgers! Even had a chance to meet one of the brothers. A must try if you are in the area

Jessica L.

Yelp
We snagged seats at the bar in the cozy little Berry Hill spot. The menu wasn't screaming for it to be called "burger joint" because while there is a burger section, there's also jambalaya, catfish, and po boys, and decidedly no options to customize burgers and really only 6 burgers listed. We grabbed a couple burgers -- because that's what sold us in the name -- and beers. There was a decent local beer selection -- mostly cans, but listed on a board -- and I could tell they rotate often because of some chatter from the bartender and a change out of the keg while we were there from one beer to another. They seemed to be out of several things on the menu and the front of house staff were entertaining to say the least (though I likely would not have enjoyed this quite as much if it wasn't just my partner and I on a casual night out), but the food was tasty, place was cozy, and beer was cold.

Renee V.

Yelp
Excellent food , fantastic service and great prices will keep me coming back. Found this gem on Yelp so thank you everyone! Very clean and inviting; location is great, parking available. Chicken enchilada is incredible!

TheGr O.

Yelp
I like the ambiance inside and service was good. Parking is challenging as they have a small lot. Their known for their burgers but to me that wasnt the star. Their jambalaya is awesome and that was the star. Id come back for that. Their bun is huge sourced from a local bakery which I like. But for the price of the burger ive just had burgers that are better for that same price point or lower. I have to also ding them for not having physical menus, thats a pet peeve of mine going out to a restaurant. If I wanted to stay at home and order I would have. Id still come back here again someday.

Nicole T.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good burger and fries - come here. If you're looking for good service with your food - don't come here. I called in to order a takeout meal and the lady on the phone said it would be ready between 10-15 minutes. When I got there 10 minutes later, I saw both the outside patio and the inside were packed full of people so I knew this place was very popular. I stood there for about five minutes and finally had to ask a guy where to pick up my order which he promptly told me he didn't know and to ask another lady. I asked her, and waited an additional 15 minutes to be handed food that was waiting on the counter the entire time. When I got home, I had to heat my meal back up in the microwave, but I will say the burger and fries tasted really good. For that reason alone, I give this place 3 stars. Not sure if this place if worth me returning to, and after reading other reviews I see the lack of service is normal.

Codie W.

Yelp
The food was great and came out quick for a Friday night. It was our first time trying this place out and the service was great as there were only 2 ladies running the dining room and bar. My partner was blown away by the catfish as he is a snob when it comes to catfish and this exceeded his expectations. The Country Cuban was juicy and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The ambiance is chill and has a homey vibe. They also had a variety of local craft beer which was a plus.

Nickie U.

Yelp
The best burger everrrrrrr our server, Trevor, was wonderful and such a silly goose. 10/10 recommend!

Billy H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, Amazing Service, Even better food! Food was priced great. We came in from out of town. We will make sure to stop every time we get into Nashville. Food had great flavor, owner and server had awesome personalities. Cannot recommend enough!

Nicolette M.

Yelp
The food was great! A waitress at our breakfast place recommended and it did not disappoint. We went at 11am and it was busy! The waitress was super friendly and the food was great. We had the burger special and the Uncle Sam and well as catfish fingers to start! The homey bar atmosphere was cool with old pictures on the table and cool decor. Great vibe overall. My only complaints were that they charge for the dipping sauce without telling you first and the fries were really salty :( but I would visit again!

Angela S.

Yelp
We are in Nashville for a few days this place was in walking distance from our motel The Iris. The Caprese Burger did not disappoint. Service is great! Be patient. Sometimes they get inundated with huge groups. Sit back relax and enjoy a cold drink.

Maddie H.

Yelp
My mouth is salivating thinking about the juicy burger I had here. This place is definitely a hidden gem and the burgers are absolutely fantastic. We came on a Sunday afternoon and sat out on their patio. The digs are definitely nothing fancy but the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. My boyfriend ordered the jumpback jack burger with regular fries and I ordered the fun guy burger with sweet potato fries. The burgers are big so come with an appetite. The sweet potato fries were I think the best I've ever had! We were definitely impressed and would absolutely come back. I highly recommend!

Jon W.

Yelp
Do you see the fork???? Find the fork. That's how BIG this burger is. Gigantic. Bun is fresh made locally and amazing. But the burger was large..... and yummy!!!! House cut fries. Service is friendly and we just had a blast. Did I mention the burger is big and super tasty? Just go here.

Terri F.

Yelp
Great burgers and fries. Servers are nice and fast. Very local. Inside very farm to table

Danielle F.

Yelp
Wow. I stopped by here while traveling through for work and wanting a great-tasting burger & fries. This place did not disappoint! The Jumpback Jack burger was amazing, with a perfectly proportioned and seasoned patty, candied bacon (!), and jalapeños to balance it out. The caramelized onions were cooked well (omitted the aioli) but the standout to my meal were the handcut sweet potato fries: wonderfully crispy on the outside and seasoned with salt & pepper. Seriously the best sweet potato fries I've had. I'd come back for the fries alone, but with a great burger and other yummy sounding po' boys, I'll definitely be ordering more!

Ruta P.

Yelp
Great food. Mushroom burger delightful. Side of tater tots was perfect. Catfish tenders well seasoned and tasty! But my favorite was the sweet potato fries! Why can't everyone make 'em like this??? Mmmmm. Come and try, you will love it.

Julia H.

Yelp
All main ingredients are locally sourced and fresh and you can taste the difference. Staff was so fun "Enjoy the food and join our family." OMG adopt me if you're going to feed me this well. They do their own fries and I don't know where this ranch comes but they're weren't kidding. AMAZING. I have this place started to come back to - great for a quick lunch after landing at the airport.

Johnny N.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood rest and bar. Decent TVs really good catfish. Good broken in neighborhood fill and friendly tenders. The burger has too much bread to meat. I'm pretty sure 90% of people would agree. It's still good. I just think it's a money thing. Less meet you put out there the less money you make. I get it

Madi R.

Yelp
WE WILL BE Back! Love his hurricane. Food 5/5 Drinks5/5 Service 5/5 Jokes 5/5 thank you Tanya!!! You're amazing

Ray S.

Yelp
This place's strength is PROPORTION! Their po-boys are huge and consistent for the most part. I find it interesting how they're marketed as a burger spot, but they def hav a Cajun bent. Their homemade sauces are great...fitting for a slew of dishes, catfish, burgers, fries, jambalaya, etc. A fantastic southern bar vibe with outside seating. Service is always good. Parking is so-so. Overall, a pretty good spot.

Tina D.

Yelp
Great place! The people working were friendly and personable, the service was quick and the food was hot, fresh and came out quick. The fries are fresh cut, hot and not greasy. Will def come back when traveling to or through Nashville.

Jonathan O.

Yelp
Could tell you if my burger had actually landed. Really nice to watch everyone else eat though. Maybe that's the hype. Watch your friends' joy. Lame service all around. And nah, don't care much for a 'postmates refund'

Donna M.

Yelp
An uncooked hamburger... I normally LOVE this place, I ordered takeout today, got home & was soooo disappointed! I ask ed for medium well & it was raw in the middle--not good and not safe! I live too far to return before they close. Check your food before you drive off. Brothers Burgers You're good, but you could be amazing.

Neek C.

Yelp
I've heard nothing be good thing about this place from other people so I decided to check it out. It's a cozy burger joint and it fills up quick. The service was fast and it was only 2 people serving. The catfish fingers were great. Well seasoned and crispy. I should have gotten the catfish platter. Because of the strips were that good. I can only imagine how fire the platter is. The Jumpback Jack burger was good but I wish the jalapeños were hotter. Still a good burger. Loved the natural cut fries. I will definitely be back.

Brett J.

Yelp
The Cat Fish Po' Boy was unbelievable. The service was impeccable. The owner came to my table to ask how my food was. Very friendly and a great experience overall. I will definitely be back!

Nathan T.

Yelp
These are good brothers! The good lookin one even let me win in an arm wrestling match!

Quin B.

Yelp
This was a decent spot for a burger. The waitress was very helpful with vegan options. Unfortunately, we were told they were out of veggie patties upon trying to order a veggie burger. My burger came promptly after ordering the Uncle sam and it was average, hence the 3 star rating. The scent of fried food lingered in the air indicating that lots of fried food was being served. These fried entrees might represent a stronger dish for this establishment, but I am unable to say because I don't typically eat fried food. My outing here was pleasant to say the least.

Ellis H.

Yelp
We were looking to kill time while waiting for family to arrive at the airport. We found this spot after driving near the airport deciding where to eat. Glad we found this place. The service was impeccable, the food came out shockingly fast, and the lager was cold. I don't post a lot of reviews, but I'm telling you that this was far and away the best burger I've had in years. I don't know what it was called, but our server said it was the special. A double bacon cheeseburger with house garlic mayo. The hand cut fries were hot, seasoned nicely, and crispy. I truly couldn't have had a better all around experience. After leaving, it took us about 10 mins to get to the airport. Once we picked up our crew, they were hungry and we knew just the place. Our second visit was just as swift as the first. My 11 year old insisted she could finish the special, and I'm not sure what physiological abnormality she's got going on, but she somehow managed to finish it. Through her stuffed-to-the-gills fog, she asked me when we were coming back. Twelve stars.

Mickey H.

Yelp
Just what I needed after a late night in Nashville!! Good food and good service. Basic Burger with fries.

Asia A.

Yelp
Cheers to a fantastic burger experience! Balsamic dressing and blue cheese on my burger? Yes, pleeeaassse!! Super delicious! In fact, everything I ate was yummy, and the staff was absolutely delightful! I'll be back for sure!
