Where to Dine Outside in Vancouver

"This neighborhood hangout in Hazel Dell recently added tenting and heaters to the outdoor patio, creating a comfortable spot to sip beer and sample food from the cluster of food carts outside the brewery. Beer choices range from a crisp, clear Czech style pilsner called The Peoples Pilsner, and several juicy hazy IPAs, to dark brews like bold, brown malt infused Jp’s Meetinghouse Brown Ale. One of the several nearby food trucks, The Hungry Sasquatch, offers Neapolitan-inspired pies with a crust made of their own mix of wild yeast sourdough starter and organic whole-wheat flour. The Octo-squatch is made by covering this carefully formulated crust with pesto, smoked mozzarella, and tender octopus rings, baked at 800 degrees in a wood-fire oven. After it’s cooked, ghost pepper flakes are sprinkled on top for an added kick." - Rachel Pinsky

Really good place to grab a beer with a good selection of beers, ciders, N/A beer, and kombucha. Plus you can get delicious food at the food carts. The food in the picture is a Monte Cristo and smothered fries from the La Oie cart. We'll definitely be coming back!

Google
So, I've been here twice now. They have some really tasty beer - and I'm not really a beer drinker. I'm originally from the east coast and the west coast hops are pretty harsh. Most breweries of here seem to be competing for who can out do the next with who can be the hoppiest. Although these folks make IPAs, which I'm told are very good, and sours, which again, I'm told are very good, they also make a very lovely balanced pilsner that's just perfect for everyday drinking and a juicy hazy that's great on a hot day. And for those who like it a little dark... their Porter is rich and deep in flavor with amazing coffee notes. For food, there are food carts outside. Pizza (it is very popular based on my kiddo and the various pies scattered around the patio and indoor seating areas), a BBQ joint with a Cajun flair. I had this last time and it was pretty darn good. And a Bahn Mi sandwich joint with some epic looking sandwiches. And then the bowl/wrap spot where I ate today. Simply and delicious! Vegan, Gluten Free, but with options to add chicken. Great portion sizes and really great flavors. Pairs epically with the pilsner (unless you're GF, obviously). As a bonus, the facility is open to fun communities. Today a small group of furries are hanging out just doing crafts and enjoying each other's company in a safe space. ❤️

Google
Conveniently located near home, this brewery delivers a decent brew. We like their collaborations more than their actual house brew but it is pretty good! The option for multi options food trucks is always great! We have been here often over the last three years and continue to come back due to their outdoor seating options when it is warm enough and their decent selection of beers. The food trucks are also a cool varied mix of options.

Brothers Cascadia Brewing in Vancouver, WA offers more than just great beer; it's a hub of warm hospitality and community spirit. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff, led by Kevin on this occasion, embodies friendliness and hospitality. They create an environment where everyone feels like part of the family, engaging in meaningful conversations and ensuring a memorable experience. The partnership with excellent food trucks adds another layer of enjoyment. Even when the trucks aren't around, it is acceptable to bring snacks ensuring you never go thirsty or hungry. Speaking of brews, Brothers Cascadia doesn't disappoint. Their drafts are a testament to quality and craftsmanship, delivering a delightful burst of flavors with each sip. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Brothers Cascadia Brewing offers a welcoming space to enjoy great beer in equally great company. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a friendly and inclusive brewery experience. Cheers & many thanks!

Google
Great place ! Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Lots of seating both inside and out. Nice covered area outside to hang out with your family. The bartender was super friendly and knew her beer. They have a few food trucks outside that have some pretty good food. Nice variety with a pizza truck, a sandwich truck, BBQ truck and a truck that has a nice selection of bowls. Definitely worth a try.

Google
Pretty fun brewery. I am not a local. They have four food trucks out front, each make their own rules and hours. Plenty of parking. Small inside but a cool outside area. So in the winter, this place may be a bit packed but in the summer, it has tons of space. Only complaint is that the beers are just on a chalk board with no descriptions. When you first come in, it's hard to even find the beer selection because it isn't above the bar and is on the wall next to the entrance. It is awkward. They should at least have a display with description. But the beers good so I guess it is redeemed.

Google
Outstanding beer, excellent customer focused staff. Family friendly. Plus food trucks! Everything is next level here. The beer, the food, the atmosphere. One of my “must stops” when going through Vancouver, WA…

Google
Best brewery in the area!! Great beer, awesome food truck selection and cool people. Start with a Best Day Ever Session IPA and move along to the Brighter Days as your bartender Alix or Richie can lead you on an amazing beer journey. The bar is full of locals and that is a true sign of a great place. Thanks for the hospitality and skillfully crafted beer!

Yelp
Always great !! Been coming here since they opened - the last visit was with some friends that brought their pup & I brought mine. We sat outside and enjoyed the brews. I usually have DaJuice !! Always a favorite & they ordered pizza from one of the food trucks that is there. They loved it. Thank you guys for being consistent.

Yelp
We loved this place! Four food trucks outside that offer a great selection of food. The beer tender (Alex I believe) was fantastic! Personable, friendly and knowledgeable about the beer.. and he never stopped! He was always doing something, pouring beers, cleaning, helping people, changing kegs. He also kept up on changing the records .. yes real vinyl! We had three beers, all different styles, and they were all great! I only wish we were hungry because I wanted to try some of the food.. from all of the trucks! Great job guys.. keep doing what you're doing!

Yelp
Nice ambience. Great service. Food truck outside wasn't open on a Sunday but looked good. Beer was very mediocre and I'm a beer drinker. Was disappointed on the taste of all the beers. The coconut lime kombucha was good

Chris M.

Yelp
The best beer in Clark County and it's not close. Super cool spot with food carts and even better service. Great place to hang out.

John S.

Yelp
They have good beer and they have a decent outside area (beer garden). The inside area has music and TVs to watch sports. Most of the barkeeps are excellent (they know how to pour draft beer; although not all of them!) and very friendly.

Yelp
While we were waiting to get food outside, we decided to come here to see their drink selection. The guy that tended to us was super nice and gave some great recommendations. Even had me sample some beers as well. I myself am not much of a beer drinker in general, but I do like a good stout or cider now and again. He pointed me to a deal they were having on stouts. 10 bucks for a pack of 4, not bad at all. It also was their own personal brew which is always an added bonus. Sadly, I didn't look at it too closely, and realized when I got home that the stout was hoppy. I'm sorry guys, but I am not a hops girl. I have tried many times and every time I go: "Thanks, I hate it." The love is not within me. You know who didn't hate it though? My boyfriend, who I gifted the remaining three when I got back. So, if anything my friends, if the beer is not to your tastes, just know that it will be for someone else. Thanks for the impromptu present guys!

Jaime S.

Yelp
Very cool, chill brewery. The person who was working was super inviting and offered great recommendations. You can taste the beers on tap. This place has a real great vibe and it appears that they have different events going on throughout the week/month (saw some posters). The hard cider was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Brothers Cascadia has all the makings of a great local brewery: amazing beer, delicious food trucks, ample outdoor seating, and friendly staff. Even better? It's in a part of Vancouver that doesn't usually get "the cool places"! I grew up in a neighborhood down the road and was so pleased to find Brothers Cascadia when I moved back to the same area. They always have unique and fun rotating taps, but I typically get the "you like a da juice" hazy IPA *chefs kiss*. You can expect them to always be playing some funky music (no top 40 here) and will serve you with a smile. Lots of heaters outside for when it gets cool in the evenings and pretty decent amount of space inside too. The food trucks just add to the experience! Gotta love the lemongrass chicken rice plate from Banh Mi SaiGon!
google avatar

Christopher J.

Yelp
Alex and the staff here are awesome people. Love the energy of this place, the music and the great beers!

Tina L.

Yelp
Great place but the downside is, the outside seating area is no smoking or vaping :( For that reason it's probably gonna be one and done.
google avatar

Mandy N.

Yelp
Friendly staff and tasty beers with heated outdoor seating. Food trucks nearby if you're looking for food to pair with your beer.
google avatar

Camille H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and beer! Always coming out with new beer releases and events for the community! Plus they have food carts and allow customers to bring in their own food as well. Pet friendly! Definitely one of my favorite spots to go. Lovely staff too

Yelp
I just I floated in midday on a Sunday and was immediately greeted by the bartender. He was patient and guided me to the kombucha given I wanted a refreshing and interesting lunch drink sans booze. They had a coconut lime kombucha. It did its job -- tasty, flavorful as you would expect, light but "creamy" (maybe I made that up thinking of coconut lime ice cream bars), and just yummy. Did it go with my shrimp etoufee from the truck? Well, I don't know. But, it was the highlight of the meal. Bottom line: Great service, yummy drink. Drink on.

Yelp
Im dropping another line since this has become my hands down favorite brewery in the Pacific NW....... Not Oregon, Not Washington, Not even Northern Cali or Alaska. This place has the chops for the best hang out and vibe for a brewery in the Mecca of our nation for craft beers.. I don't make this claim without stretching my legs throughout the Northwest and frequenting a multitude of Breweries. From the lost coast, to 10 barrel, to the Alaskan Amber of the last frontier. And every sour brewer in between. Brothers Cascadia is the ticket and where I drop the mic .....

Yelp
Brothers Cascadia seems to be a pretty decent place to see a show and to grab a beverage. I was happy to see a lovely coconut lime kombucha on tap (very tasty!), but I'd have appreciated a larger selection of non-alcoholic beverages (I'm always the designated driver). While Brothers Cascadia does not serve food, it shares a parking lot with three food carts, and at least one of the carts delivered orders to the outdoor tables by the bandstand. The drawbacks are that the band area is outdoors, and there are very few tables. Some are directly covered and well-shaded, but probably half of these have terrible views of the stage. The tables that have the best views of the stage are not directly covered are still partially shaded by several "sail" shades tied above, but the large gaps between them still let a huge amount of sunlight through. Even on moderately warm days, it can be challenging not to get a sunburn at these tables (I toughed it out for a two-hour show, but two separate groups who came to share my table moved immediately to a directly covered table when one became available because the sun was so intense). If you're just interested in dropping in for a beverage or two, or getting something from one of the food carts and grabbing a beverage, it would probably make for a better experience than if going to see a show.

Yelp
BROTHERS CASCADIA BREWING feels like a hidden gem of Hazel Dell! I accidentally stumbled upon this spot when hanging around the area waiting on a car repair and loved the vibe here. Not many bars that you can go into on a random afternoon during the week and still have a busy atmosphere!! Located in a small food truck lot, there are plenty of options for a quick bite and a few drinks. Personally, I really dug the record player rotating a couple vinyls from some underground artists. I added a couple of the albums to my Spotify!!! and of course, the few ciders that I tried were delicious! (I'm not a beer guy, but I assume it's great too!!) A fun place to come chill and try something new. TL;DR: Worth going out of your way for this chill, vibey spot!
google avatar

Elyse S.

Yelp
Brothers Cascadia Brewing has really done a great job with the outdoor seating area, especially during COVID. It's a spacious, welcoming setup, and the fact that the food carts are just a walk away makes the area that much better. I haven't particularly loved their beer I've tasted, though perhaps I'm still on the hunt for the one which is right for me.

Yelp
I drove in from Seattle to attend a meetup that this brewery hosts every once in a while and had an awesome time. Also got a really yummy po' boy from one of the food trucks outside. AND. I accidentally left the bar without closing out and didn't realize my mistake until I was back in Seattle. I called and Richie offered to mail my card back to me the next day. Cannot believe this. Love this place.

Joey L.

Yelp
Well, not a good first experience. My wife was hungry so we stopped there. She ordered the pork belly mac and chi. It took 45 minutes, they didn't connect the number. The guy said we would get it for free, he did not communicate to his partner who charged me full price. I gave them a big tip. My wife was not happy. We will not go back.

Phil T.

Yelp
Great beers on tap, food was really good and a good atmosphere. We have been there several times and always had a really good time! Service was also very friendly and warm.
google avatar

Tana R.

Yelp
What a great brewery! Amazing beers, awesome customer service and I absolutely love the space! Particularly, the patio in the back! It's so cozy! And they have live music on Mondays, so fun!! Enjoy
google avatar

Yelp
Just happened to see this place by accident on the way to BJJ practice. Really Good beer!
google avatar

Alberto C.

Yelp
I visit this establishment quite often. The atmosphere is very welcoming. It's a great place to hang out. I've brought me dogs here and enjoyed countless beers. They have a good selection of beer, and non alcoholic beverages as well.
google avatar

Charlyn G.

Yelp
Clean. Chill. Delicious. I've gone to a few breweries, but their selection of beer definitely makes me want to go back for more. The location of the brewery is perfect for those who want some food too. There's a couple food trucks outside of the place. We were able to eat our bahn mi and drink our beer on their patio. Overall fantastic expierence for a roadtrip pit stop. Highly recommend for a sunny weekend plan.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to Brothers Cascadia for a while and was pleased on a recent trip to Vancouver to finally make it there. The location of this brewery isn't in close proximity to very many of the other breweries which if you live in this area is probably a real treat to have if you like craft beer and don't want to journey too far. The parking lot is fairly large which is a nice change of pace. The taproom I really liked as there is a sizable seating area around the bar but you can also go upstairs as well to a smaller seating area as well. Despite it being fairly roomy this brewery seems very popular and finding a seat on certain nights could be a challenge. Steve and I drank light beers here. There were tempting darker and heavier ones but lighter was calling our names. I got the Low Bros which was a very light German style beer. It wasn't too bad but I preferred Steven's Helles Lager more. Brothers Cascadia has a lot of promising swag and I got a gray hoodie here which is so comfortable so that definitely was a "win" with my experience here as well!

Yelp
Brothers is not located in the greatest area of Hazel Dell but for what the location lacks in charm it makes up for with their quality beer selections and multi use setup at this casual brewery. Brothers might not get the credit they deserve being in Vancouver but it's similar to a wolf in sheep's clothing and the brews will bite your ass! They had at least 15 proprietary draft options and multiple additional options by the can. If you enjoy 10 different styles of IPA then this is your place. But it doesn't stop there with plenty of non IPA choices too as well as cider and sours. There's nothing original about a co-op style establishment but BC and their food truck vendors execute it effectively and efficiently. There are 3 or 4 food vendors including pizza, asian and cajun. They give you beepers so you can order then continue drinking cold brews until it's ready and there's no guessing game. We tried the pizza and bahn mi and enjoyed both. Part of its charm is its simple format. Despite the minimal service interactions the customer service was great. The dude served beer without any pretentiousness and let me have 4 or 5 tasters so I could choose my liquid hops wisely. They have 2 story seating inside and a giant outdoor seating area that we couldn't enjoy due to rain. I rate every where I try by multiple factors but one of the primary questions I always ask myself is "would I return?" And absolutely I would!

Yelp
Brothers Cascadia Brewing is a true gem of a brewery here in Vancouver, WA! From my first visit here I felt right at home, especially thanks to Alex! They offer a wide variety of their own beer as well as collaborations with local breweries (who doesn't love supporting local businesses?!). They also offer regionally crafted San Juan Seltzer, Tieton Cider, and alcohol free Crater Lake Cream Soda! To top it off, there are four food trucks in their lot! Needless to say, Brothers Cascadia is a must visit! Oh yeah, how could I forget, a dog friendly outdoor patio with heaters!!! It doesn't get better than Brothers Cascadia!

Tracy T.

Yelp
It was my first time coming here. I walked in alone on a Monday evening to meet up with a friend for a drink. There were a 3 couples and the bartender. While waiting for my friend I attempted to chat with the bartender to get some info on the place, but he didn't have much to say... There were 7 beers on tap: 3 IPAs, a brown ale, a lager, and a sour gold, plus they have a great selection of ciders. I had the Best Day Ever session IPA which was really tasty. The food truck was closed and they don't serve any food. I was all set to give the place 3 stars, but after we'd been there for a bit the bartender got more friendly. My friend was hungry and since they don't serve food he brought out a bag of chips for her to snack on The good beer plus that hospitality made me bump up my rating. I guess you can bring in your own food too, and it's right next to Super Taco Express.
google avatar

Rose D.

Yelp
Nice tap room with a few food trucks outside as well (not sure if they are always there, but there were 3 different food trucks there when we visited on a Saturday around lunchtime). They have about a dozen of their own brews on tap...I don't recall if they have other visiting beers on tap, too, as we normally stick to the brews of whatever place we are at. They have several tables, high tops and bar seating inside and then a nice patio with seating outside as well. And they get a bonus point for spinning some old-school vinyl for the tunes.
google avatar

Ricky R.

Yelp
I made a quick stop here on our Portland Beer tour. My wife wasnt quite in the mood to go too deep into the beer list, but we split 2 different flights. We had a couple ipas, a couple sours, and a couple stouts. I very much enjoyed everything we had. The ipas had a nice fluffy mouth feel and some amazing flavor. I am glad I made a quick stop, and the beer was absolutely delicious. I would suggest this place for anyone looking to have some great beer!!
google avatar

Robert K.

Yelp
This place is awesome. One of the best brewery bars in the area. You can always find good tasty cold microbeers here and good tunes on. People are friendly and the service is outstanding. The food carts out front are really good too. You can order you food with them and they will bring it to you in the bar. There is no hard alcohol here though. They have a huge out door area that is full of tables for big parties. I will always be sure to come here for my next cold one. Oh and they will turn on pretty much any sporting event for you on their big screen tv's too.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Dear Brothers: Though we don't share blood, we did share beers ... like JP's Meeting House Brown Ale and a BCB IPA. Now, I feel lucky that we have a connection of emotions, love, and brews based on an admiration of hops, barley, and more hops. With all due respect to my birth siblings, it's pretty awesome to have cool local bros crafting a NE-style IPA called You Like 'A Da Juice. And, despite not serving grub, I'm so grateful for the rotation of food trucks you invite outside ... especially Pizzeria La Sorrentina. Thanks Brothers Cascadia Brewing for being my brothers from another brewer. Cheers, Your brother
google avatar

Darren G.

Yelp
Probably one of the best breweries in Clark County. These guys are truly a hidden gym located in the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver! Absolutely fantastic beers. The staff really knows their stuff and there's some food carts next door that are worth checking out! Another nice thing for families is that this place is kid friendly and there's an area out back where you can bring your dogs!
google avatar

Louis H.

Yelp
Had two beers, one the Oktoberfest and then I think I was the best day ever? But they were super tasty and the second was recommended by the bar tender so thank you! Great selections of food outside, thanks to the food trucks. Had a Monte Cristo and even ordered a second to go because it was so good! Thabks

James C.

Yelp
In Vancouver for a soccer game and stopped by here. Tried the Hazy Dell IPA and was impressed. Great beer selection, very clean brewery and a very friendly staff. Will come back when in the area again.
google avatar

Steve J.

Yelp
I've been to this pub...4-5 times...some of the best beer in Vancouver. Hate to say...but truth is...I've had 4 different bartenders that I can remember...and each one provided a quick and lazy pour. You charge premium prices...and I have always received a pour with 2-3 man fingers worth of foam. Not cool for ($6.50-yes..just raised the prices) Doesn't matter that it's an 18 oz glass. Fill it up. It doesn't really cost you anything to do so. Keep making great beer...get a smile on those bartenders faces and fill up the glass.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
I love this place when we lived close we would walk here with our dog! Good beers, dog friendly, good selection of food carts or super taco that you can bring in to eat while you drink. Would recommend 10000 times
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Cool little place. I have a soft spot for the simplicity of the garage style breweries where you're drinking in sight of the tanks. The beers were decent, and the food carts outside are a nice touch. Was also impressed they had a couple TVs for sports (a rarity in PDX) Not a place I'd cross the river for, but I have a friend in that neighborhood, so I'm sure I'll be back.
google avatar

Minh T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place and kind of mad I didn't visit sooner. The lady and I were going to grab quick sushi down the street but wanted to wait until HH so we looked at beer options nearby. We've been to another establishment across the street in a similar scenario but this time discovered Brothers! It was pretty busy for a Saturday evening but there was plenty of available seating around. We sat at the bar upon entry and took a gander of their brew selections. After sampling a few, I settled on their Pillow Talk IPA and the lady got their Bold As Love IPA. Both were easy on the palate but definitely smooth with just enough hops. They don't serve food, but they do have a few selections of food carts right outside if you get hungry. Service was friendly and I overheard the beer-tender mention a line from one of my all time favorite movies (The Outsiders) to a customer he was talking to and I had to give him props, so kudos! Will be back soon.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Great spot. They had a ton of great beers in tap. I had a sour golden ale. It was delicious. They also had a couple of food trucks. I tried some Vietnamese food and some pizza, both were excellent. I liked the space a lot, it was open with a ton of seating. Overall, an excellent stop.
google avatar

Mel W.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed so I figured that was a good sign. My husband and I did some tasters. $7 for 3 large tasting pours. They have a lot of IPAs. Tasty ones too. As for food there's food carts out front. I believe 3. The brewery provides plates and napkins.
google avatar

Darlene F.

Yelp
Definitely would Recommend Visiting This Place! Great spot for beer with family & friends! A family friendly place where even little ones are welcomed! My personal favorite is the Crazy 88. Food is ordered outside but is brought in to you and you may bring your own food to enjoy their beers. We will most definitely be back.
google avatar

Cheralyn H.

Yelp
I love the vibe here! Great beers, a spacious area and some amazing food cart options. This might be my new favorite hangout!
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty beer and friendly staff. Some of the best beer we had during our trip to the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Best beer in town! Great service, even better people serving the beer! They also have great live music every Monday night!
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite places for happy hour. Great selection of drinks, the variety of food trucks on site are nice for friends with different tastes, service is always friendly and their outdoor seating - made even better with COVID accommodations.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Love the vibe here, beers are great, staff too . Opens up to the outside , food trucks in the lot! Casual , dog friendly . Love places that allow our fur babies !!

Ed C.

Yelp
Good beers with good selection for a microbrewery. This place is always busy. I keep going back for their IPA's. Accepts Apple pay

David B.

Yelp
They have lighter options Brews. I do not like the hard IPA'S so these lighter beers are for me. Like other breweries as soon as I really like one of the beers the most, they run out and make a different beer [pizza beer was great and went best with ... pizza
google avatar

Selena N.

Yelp
We Yelped this place before coming, and went here because sometimes local breweries have better food and we were looking for a place to eat before a concert at the Sunlight Amphitheater. We got there and were hoping the pizza food truck was open for it had decent reviews. Or want though. Only a Cajun one and nothing on it looked healthy or appealing. So we had a beer, which wasn't great and moved on. No Porter or dark beer, and the one I did have was "eh", but to be fair we both hate IPAs, and if you do then this place is for you. I'd recommend partnering with food trucks that will be open on days prior to a concert. I realize it's hot out, I get it. Having drinks with no decent food though isn't great. Place was clean, bathrooms ok. Place was busy. Just didn't work for us this time that's all
