"Longtime fans of Brothers’ Peruvian rotisserie chicken rejoiced when the restaurant moved to its new, larger location from its original takeout window spot in the back of an international market. No longer was it necessary to call an hour ahead to place an order for Brothers’ pollo a la brasa — a deeply flavored, juicy, mahogany-skinned bird. The simple menu hasn’t changed much since the move, and all of it is perfect for takeout. Try the whole, half, or quarter rotisserie chicken, served with French fries, green salad, and Brothers’ delicious aji sauce on the side. Brothers serves other Peruvian favorites too, including empanadas, tamales, salchipapa (sausage and french fries), and yuca frita." - Rebecca Shea

I'm always on the hunt for pollo a la brasa. I usually go to alot of Peruvian restaurants to try theirs and none really have that authentic taste. Till I found this place. Takes me on a memory lane every time I go been here 3 times already. Their chicha is delicious usually get the combo of whole chicken that comes with salad sauces and fries. Plenty of food for 4 people. This time I tried their flan and leche asada they were delicious can't wait to be back.

Best peruvian roasted chicken in town ( pollo a la brasa), they have great empanadas, desserts and the best Lomo saltado sandwich I ever tried, is mostly for to go if you are ok with plastic forks and boxes for to go

SerpAPI
I love the empanadas but $8.00 bucks for 1 empanada with no chips and it was a problem getting the green sauce. Maybe if the lady behind the counter was nicer i would have given them a 4 star rating. She was rude.

SerpAPI
Delicious chicken and especially delicious aji Verde sauce that's sold separately in small or large portions. It's really something else. Try this place (and buy a ton of sauce) It could be rather full sometimes, longish lines at odd hours but worth the wait

SerpAPI
First time in a restaurant where if you need more ketchup, they sell it to you. It's not complementary. I can understand that with the pollo a la brasa special sauce. But the ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise?... come on

Caleb the chef and Sofia his wife are wonderful. The short ribs were decadent.❤

I have been meaning to give my review of Brothers' for a while. I don't care how many chickens Costco turns out. These guys give them competition. Great taste and selection. I actually didn't think to take a picture of the chicken I got, because I smashed through it so fast licking my fingers. Easy to order, not a long wait, fresh hot food. Good prices.

They spoke little English and the food was great. .good service to

Yelp
We typically get to go, great chicken, fries and salad combo. Our go to. But the salad sauce has been a bit too tasty these lasts couple of times. Thanks!

Dominic E.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I tried the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich with Yuca Fries with an Aji Verde. The chicken sandwich was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The bread was delicious and soaked up the chicken juices in all the right ways! If you like really flavorful chicken pot pie you'll love this sandwich. The fries were perfectly fried and tasted wonderful dipped into the Aji Verde sauce. If you can order ahead. This was my first time to the area and this restaurant and it was VERY busy at 2pm on a Sunday...but it was worth the wait.

Yelp
The customer service is great. It's small but incredibly flavorful! This is probably as close as you will get to eating pollo a la brasa in the Bay area. There is no other restaurant that comes close to the flavor of Peru, but this one does! This price is reasonable and your my mouth is watering by writing this review. I don't have pics cause I'm always eating my meal before I get it.

Yelp
This place is a joke! Mother's Day traffic and completely inept and unequipped. People waiting 2hrs to get their orders!!!! No managers no owners. The poor staff barely keeping up. And apparently the one female owner - could care less. No appreciation or value for the time of customers who paid ahead of time. Luckily a new Peruvian chicken will open soon and better choices!!!

Smiley F.

Yelp
Very skimpy with what comes with the whole chicken. You have to pay for the sauces separately and the combos don't come with plantains and beans like other places. The service was ok, very broken English and the ambiance is fine, appears clean but a take out kinda place.

Angela F.

Yelp
Ok 5 stars ALONE for their green sauce. That stuff is life-changing, I'm serious. I've also had their tamales. They're good, but the green sauce on them takes them to next-level lol. Seriously, that sauce is EVERYTHING!

Cristhian N.

Yelp

Yelp
I have been coming here since they were in the back of a Middle Eastern store handing off chickens through a small window, back then you had to pre-order as everything was made to order. Fast forward a few years and a pandemic and the consistency and flavors are the same, that's why I keep coming back. I watched this business grow into a small location of their own and hopefully eventually they get to open up a full size restaurant and bar where they can shine even more and expand their menu to include other Peruvian dishes. Service : There is no waiter here, you pull up to the counter, place your order and wait for it to be ready perhaps 20-30 minutes. I skip that process and call in my order about 40 minutes out. About the time it takes me to drive there. I drive so far because it is just that good. I don't like eating the food cold as it loses some elements when cold, like the fries aren't as crispy, the chicken gets cold, the salad remains the same. When I get there, I pay and usually my food is ready, so I sit down at one of the tables there and eat. They are always nice about giving me extra plates, utensils. Food : I go there for the Whole Chicken, Fries, and Salad. $31.50 for everything to me is a fair price, if you consider the pricing at other restaurants, if you were to feed a family of 3 it would cost you alot more. I get it's not a nice sit down restaurant with full service, but at 10.50 per person for a decent meal I would say it is a good deal. Chicken : Comes out of their Rotisserie dripping with the juices and flavor. Some have compared it to Costco chicken, but I disagree. Costco chicken is soaked in salt and other stuff, this one is soaked in Dark Beer and Huacatay ( Black Mint ) among other seasonings. Pair this with their Mayo/Jalapeno/Cilantro based sauce and it is a match made in Heaven Fries : When I order ahead, they always make sure to cook the fries close to the pickup time as my fries have always been fresh and crispy, I also like to dip my fries in their sauce and I can't stop eating it. Salad : The salad is a basic Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado salad w a few onions thrown in, perhaps a cucumber or two. I feel they can make improvements like add a bit more tomato and cucumber, shaved carrot. but the lettuce gives a nice freshness to the meal. Green Sauce : This is why I keep coming back. I always get a $5 container to go with my orders because you can put it on anything and it will taste amazing. Alfajores : A good size of two shortbread cookies w/ Dulce De Leche and powdered sugar on top. These are really good, wish they weren't so expensive. They should do a deal where you buy 3 for 10$ or something. Drink : Inca Cola, my favorite drink to wash down the chicken and fries. It is like a golden champagne cola. This still remains one of my go to spots on the weekend when I have time to take the 40 minute drive there. The food is what keeps me coming back, and the consistency. I know the people have been complaining about the prices lately, but they have to keep up with inflation, plus I did notice their Rotisserie must have cost alot of money. Where else in the Bay area can you feed 3-4 people for $31.50 ? I'll wait. Not many places exist. Alot of the other peruvian places are 15-17$ per plate and the food is like a high priced dining experience where they only give you a little bit of food. This is a mom and pop shop that started from the ground up. It would be nice if they eventually expand their menu to include a few other Peruvian favorites : Lomo Saltado, Bisteck ala Pobre, Papa a La Huancaina, Arroz Chaufa. They may even want to upgrade their location as alot of local restaurants have been forced to close due to the pandemic, maybe they can move into one of those spots and provide a better experience, ambiance, but that would also drive the costs up so who knows. They do the Rotisserie chicken right and it is always so good. Que Viva el Peru !!!

Yelp
While my S.O. and I were out and in the shopping area of this particular place, we decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. We finally decided to get two sandwiches, one of each kind (Lomo and rotisserie chicken). It came with your choice of French fries or salad. We also both chose the French fries. When we ate our sandwiches (and I tried his Lomo) he mentioned that it was cooked nicely and flavored well. It was just the slightest bit too spicy for me and my liking. I proceeded to make my rotisserie chicken plain by removing the pieces of peppers inside. I enjoyed the fries. I found that the potatoes were not raw or crunchy at all, while my hubby mentioned that they seemed like the frozen kind. So why the 3 stars? Well, the sandwiches were very expensive for their size. They do add an extra charge for using your card. Also, the thing that totally caught us off guard is that there's a small sign that states double check your order before you leave or something along those lines. I'm sorry, but why would someone need something like that? Anyway, it's decent and I wish them luck. I most likely won't be back, but my husband's probably will.

Kwang C.

Yelp
But don't order via Yelp on pick up orders. They're adding a dollar on every item. Empandas. 3 bucks on a chicken so $25.10 vs $22 What a good scam not disclosing the up charge Think I'm done Yelping. Too bad Hello GOOGLE!!!!!!

Robert M.

Yelp
Why is the store not on DoorDash caviar or Uber eats? I tried to explain it to them what it is and I don't think they understand. I think they think that Yelp is the same as the ones mentioned above. I hope in the future that they can join DoorDash and make a lot more money and get a lot more customers

Yina V.

Yelp
The Chicken is so good and salchipapas oh my God the empanadas the flavor is so good.. I recommend

Natasha L.

Yelp
Friends of us recommended this place a while ago. I decided to give it a try today. I only bought a whole rotisserie chicken to go. I honestly think this is the best rotisserie chicken I have ever had. The meat is so juicy and tender. My husband and I almost finished the whole chicken. I highly recommend this place to anyone wants to have a quality rotisserie chicken. Simply delicious!

Fernando H.

Yelp
This place was horrible. They really gave me unseasoned fries with chopped up boiled sausage and a Costco chicken for x4 the price. Automatic tip included in the price on top of the already robbery prices. You also get charged for everything. Spent over $100 each on some plain food

Dan B.

Yelp
Adding photos from a recent trip for reference. Still my favorite Peruvian place! I find myself continuing to come back here routinely. Best served hot. Don't microwave this chicken to reheat. I would recommend popping it into the oven or even your air fryer to crisp it back up nicely. Always pair the chicken with the green sauce!

Zapata F.

Yelp
The chicken is incredible, even better than most places in Peru. I just wish the chicken wouldn't be getting smaller and the price getting higher every time I go.

Monica L.

Yelp
Chicken is pretty good, so I ordered 2 orders of right meat and one order of breast for my family to have with left overs. It was $44 which I was fine with.... How ever this is what I got for $44. Highly highly highly frustrated. If this is rate for a family meal in this business, that's horrible.

Jesus B.

Yelp
Good peruvian chicken and some others plates i recomend this place and they have food to go

Tatiana D.

Yelp
Best place in the Bay Area to get Peruvian Chicken, juicy, tastes just like the ones in Peru

Jose R.

Yelp

Bobby V.

Yelp
Amazing little place done right. Food flavors are amazing And if you like a little bit of kick with your yuka forget about it it's delicious A little FYI the green yuka sauce is spicy but delicious

Annick K.

Yelp
Food is delicious! The ladies are very nice and it was overall a great find in Concord.

X E.

Yelp
It's really hard to support small businesses when they just jack up the price, then reduce the portion. I ordered the Lomo sandwich with fries which cost $17. One would assume that with that price point u would at least get a full sandwich but no it was a half sandwich with minimum amount of meat. Service is basically based on if you speak Spanish or not. Very over priced and the portion DID NOT justify the pricing.

Carmen E.

Yelp
Chicken used to be really good but now they over cooked their chicken so as over priced their food and shrink the size of the food portions.

Christian A.

Yelp
Classic chicken combo is always a delicious meal and treat. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the prices, if you get drinks and other appetizers or snacks, you are easily looking at a 50-70 dollar plus meal, not bad if shared but it is something to note.

Nicholas V.

Yelp
Lots of flavor, very delicious and I crave more. No fat on the steak. Had two sandwiches.

MamaCo A.

Yelp
Bad service and very disappointing. Prepare to wait for a long time. It's hard to communicate with the staffs.

Susan C.

Yelp
**Review is based on a take out visit during the COVID quarantine** Everybody was wearing masks and there were signs asking customers to social distance. Loved everything from here! The chicken is the best of the eats here! Okay, so I had this spot bookmarked for awhile and have been wanting to go for a long time. We had an errand in this neighborhood tonight so we figured we'd finally go and grab some take out. Actually, I was all ready to order online. I had everything I wanted on the online app added to the cart but at the very end when it was time for me to place the order and pay, it asked me to create a login ID so I ditched that and called in my order instead. Turns out they were out of veggie empanadas anyway so I don't know how their online ordering would have handled that. (I think their veggie ones sold out already. I called an hour before their closing time.) We ordered full chicken combo which came with fries and salad. We also got 6 empanadas - 2 chicken, 2 ground beef and 2 lomo (steak). Yes, a lot of food. We're not in this area often and we're good to buy extra food for leftovers - and we want to help the restaurants survive through this restrictive lock down where outdoor dining in this county is now closed. A few yelp reviews said the aji sauce were good so we also paid for 2 extra aji sauce. The chicken was so good! They nailed the herb seasoning and it's perfectly seasoned throughout. We dipped the chicken in the aji sauce. We also dipped the fries in the aji sauce. Having extra aji is key so thank you for Yelpers for steering me in the right direction. The salad and the dressing was also delicious. We didn't get any avocados in our salad even though the menu said it was included. I meant to cut up the avocado that we had home but we were so hungry that we just ate the salad as is. We finished the salad that night. Everything else was meals for a couple of days afterwards. Empandas and fries heated up nicely in the Air Fryer the next day. We didn't love either of them - they were good but nothing that special. The chicken here is great and so is the salad.

C J.

Yelp
Order ahead or prepare to wait a while if ordering the rotisserie chicken. The food was really good but the atmosphere of the place is underwhelming.

C-lo K.

Yelp
Local Peruvian startle chicken and sides, that also has empanadas and other treats. It's above average but more expensive than I would like and they are skimpy on sauce. Small inside but seating options. A few staff members...don't expect much but worth a visit.

Danna F.

Yelp
Best Peruvian pollo a la brasa in the Bay Area! I wish the stayed open later but they have chickens flying out the door!

Yaqueline G.

Yelp
No, bad attention, I called and paid my order, I'm waiting for 1 hr or more for my order and nothing. To many people waiting.

Delilah M.

Yelp
We've been supporting this business since they would do deliveries & today was by far the worse experience we've had here. We placed an order for pickup and it was assumed we would come by at a certain time without confirmation and when we came by to pick up our order they gave away our food to someone else. This was a very disappointing experience and we don't know if we'd ever come back again. The blame is not on the owners but their staff needs to make improvements.

Jes O.

Yelp
Food is tasty, but hella expensive for what it is. Empanada was SUPER BLAND for $8. There's a place near Seafood City that has WAYYY better empanadas for 1/3 of the price. They charged an extra $5 for a small amount of extra green sauce (I'm taking about the small to go sauce cups that holds less than 2 tablespoons worth of sauce). That is ridiculous. $1 is understandable, but $5 is just thievery. That being said, I'll never go back and would never recommend coming here.

Christy R.

Yelp
The chicken was juicy and flavorful, salad was fresh, fries and empanadas were good too. The green sauce was delicious paired with everything. So glad this place was recommended to me. Will definitely be back.

Mario F.

Yelp
I'm peruvian and I can honestly say... this is the best Pollo a la brasa in the bay area. Also has a good price IMO Que viva el Perú

Poopy D.

Yelp
Chicken rotisserie is delicious, white sauce has an unexpected kick to it but great in combination with the chicken

Yngrid M.

Yelp
The pricing is a bit high... but the food and service has been EXCELLENT!! I had an incident on one occasion, my son threw up and the staff was very helpful and companionate!! My child 6 yrs autistic-non-verbal, and was expressing discomfort, and the staff was so helpful.!! I feel comfortable going there anytime. For parents that have children in the spectrum will completely understand what I'm talking about.

Gorda L.

Yelp
Expect a long wait. The food is great. The wait is L O N G. I called and ordered a chicken in advance for 5:30. It's past 6:00 and I'm still waiting. Factor that in, so you're not frustrated.

Happy S.

Yelp
This review is only for the chicken empanada, the only item I've tried here so far. One empanada is a good snack, however, pricey for $8 a piece. The filling is rotiserrie chicken, not very flavorful. The dough was also sweet and soft. Not bad, but not my preference. I like flaky empanadas, like the Arlgentinian kind. Not sure what kind they make here.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Rotisserie chicken was delish. You know when the skin is good, the chicken will be moist. Wish we had asked for more sauce. Empanadas we're also tasty. I preferred the beef one to the chicken. The crust was a sweet crust so it was a good contrast between a savory filing and sweet wrapper. Only odd thing was the salad had huge slices of onion but at least that's easy to take off since I didn't want to eat it.

Ederlin P.

Yelp
Very disappointed. My empanadas barely had any meat. Embarrassing to even share with my co-workers. I went back in to show them how much meat was in it and they said that how they make it. I would not come back to pay $4.00 for the small empanadas with a dry teaspoon of ground beef. :(

Vincent C.

Yelp
The rotisserie chicken sandwich is heaven sent, granted the price is a little bit too high for my taste but the sandwich is impeccable

Michael W.

Yelp
Rotisserie Chicken is delicious! Lettuce is fresh and French Fries first rate. Inca Cola is available. Cons: No Manager on duty. Employees take the best parking spot or maybe the same customer in the same parking spot? Need to call ahead to avoid a long wait. Dining area small and more like a fast food place. Only small ketchup packs available upon request. Employees like to scoot out early so they stop serving prior to closing.

Shayla B.

Yelp
This chicken... is LEGIT! Juicier than a mug, I tell ya! The Brothers be throwin' down up in here! I feel like this is the first time that I've really had Peruvian chicken. I usually stick to my other Peruvian favorites when I go to Peruvian food restaurants, but this place makes EXCELLENT chicken! Some mouthwatering stuff for real. Apparently this place has been around for a few years but just recently moved into their own space. It used to be housed in the back of a restaurant. Well hallelujah because this place NEEDS it own separate space. I stopped by on a Sunday night for dinner. I followed the instructions of some of the other reviews and I called ahead and ordered. I ordered their 1/4 dark meat which comes with a side of salad and fries. They also give you this spicy green sauce called aji verde. Damn! That green sauce is SO GOOD! You MUST slather this sauce on your chicken and enjoy it! It is so damn tasty. Calling ahead will definitely buy you some time because they prepare your food when you order it. Even when I showed up at the time that they quoted me, my food still wasn't ready. This was okay because I didn't have anywhere else to go, but give yourself some extra time of you're ordering a whole chicken because it will take a while for them to cook. But let me tell you, it is SO worth the wait. After I came in, so many people were popping in to get their hands on this chicken. When my food was done, I couldn't wait to dig in. This chicken looked like something out of a magazine! It was juicy and glistening in pure delight. The salad was nothing to gloat about, but the fries were aplenty and they were tasty. They give you a ton of fries! I was actually able to reheat them in a toaster oven an they still tasted good, and I usually never do that. But anyways, back to that chicken; it was exceptional. I probably could have gotten a 1/2 chicken and turned it into two meals for myself, but the 1/4 dark meat was perfect. The flavors are insane and the chicken skin is a nice golden brown. This is definitely some of the best rotisserie chicken that I've had! You can tell that they really took their time roasting and seasoning that bad boy. They also have empanadas, tamales, and a few other goodies if you don't want chicken. BUT... how can you say no to THIS chicken? I honestly don't think that you can. The people working there are really sweet. One lady didn't really speak much English, but she was still kind. They have a few spots inside to enjoy your meal, but I'd chalk this place up as more of a to-go spot. This chicken is so amazing! Would definitely recommend if you're craving some delicious Peruvian chicken.

Ricardo F.

Yelp
Overpriced and always, always with a big attitude. Dirty tables and trash can always full of trash. Lady gets mad for anything. Also tells you you didn't order something you did. And they charge for all sauces on top of their highly overpriced chicken.

Teto S.

Yelp
Good rotisserie chicken sandwiches and empenadas. A little pricey but tasty and really fresh ingredients

Christina G.

Yelp
This is such a random place behind a Smile Orthodontics but in looking for a new and exciting food to excite my husband with as a birthday surprise, I was thrilled to find this place via Yelp. I ordered online and pickup only took a few minutes inside the restaurant. The whole rotisserie chicken was well seasoned and packaged quartered, the yucca fries and sweet potato fries were crispy even days after crisped up in a toaster oven, and the lomo empanadas have a flavorful filling and a crumbly crust that's just slightly sweet. The chicken tamales had a high masa to filling ratio but were tasty nonetheless with a unique filling that has olives in it. Needless to say, my husband was thrilled with the meal and we will be back!

Wilfredo F.

Yelp
Although the price would seem a bit on the more pricey side for a rotisserie chicken, it was tasty overall. Would love to try the rest of their menu items when I come back.
