My cousin suggested we go to Brothers for breakfast, as a few cousins and I were visiting her from Orange County for the weekend. The time spent at Brothers is 38 minutes of my life - wasted - that I wish I could get back. Our family, a party of 9, was seated in the rear of the restaurant. We looked over our menus and waited for our server to come and greet us. About 15 minutes later, a woman came to take our drink order. When we told her we were ready to order, she said, "I'm not your server." She didn't write our drink order, and it took her three trips to get it right because, well, she didn't write it down. We waited about another 5 minutes before my cousin got up to let them know that our actual server had not come to the table yet. Another 10 minutes went by and another cousin got up to let them know that not only had we not been served, we haven't even been acknowledged by our server. We were told who our server was and we saw him come into the room, serve another table, he looked over at us from across the room, and then walked back out into the main area. Mind you, this table, a smaller party than ours, had TWO servers tending to their table. At this point, annoyed for waiting for 30 minutes after being seated and not even being acknowledged by our server, we decided to leave. As we are picking up our things to walk out, one of the two servers from the table across from us, who was identified as the owner, walks to the table, obviously annoyed, and says, "What can I get you?" No, "I'm sorry for the wait." No, "I'm so sorry, we're super busy." No, "Thank you for waiting." No. She comes in hot. Instead of apologizing, she escalated. When we tell her that we're leaving because we hadn't even been greeted by our server, she says, "What do you mean? You got your drinks!" She told us, "What do you expect? We're busy!" My cousin told her, "We waited for 30 minutes to be greeted. Who knows how long it will take to food to arrive." She said, "You're right." Yikes. She acted like a 17 year old working their first sever job. No attempt to make it right with us. Very disappointing experience. No one should sit at a table for over 30 minutes without at least a greeting from their server.
