The Team Behind Lost Boy Opens Brother’s Keeper on Miami Beach - Eater Miami

"Brother’s Keeper, the latest venture from Lost Boy & Co., has officially opened at 1710 Alton Road on Miami Beach, offering a unique blend of “low-brow beer, high-brow cocktails, and off-beat bites.” This new neighborhood cocktail bar is the brainchild of Chris Hudnall and Randy Alonso of Lost Boy & Co., in collaboration with chef Josh Elliott and Ellie Groden of QP Tapas." - Olee Fowler

Didn’t eat any food, but I can confidently declare that the apricot & strawberry junglebird is the best variation of that cocktail I’ve ever had. The bartender, Zach, was super nice. Crazy good happy hour too; almost the entire drink menu is half off!

This is a small, cozy bar in Miami Beach with a chill and relaxed vibe. The space is definitely limited, so don’t expect anything fancy or spacious, but it has its charm. The food really surprised me—it was flavorful and clearly made with care. Great spot for a casual drink, especially if you’re not looking for a loud party scene. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind with a good cocktail, enjoy a few bites, and have a quiet conversation. Simple, unpretentious, and a nice little find.

New Favorite Bar! ❤️ drove all the way from Broward county to try this bar, Zack was our bartender, and was phenomenal in every aspect! By far one of the best bars in Miami Beach if not Miami, can you get a martini that comes with a croissant and alligator bites surrounded by fish tanks and disco balls!

Google
Thanks Zack and to the other bartenders. Very attentive service. Cute space, Low-key chill vibe when I went during happy hour. They have a jukebox, and darts. I didn't try the food.

This is my partner and I’s favourite bar in Miami Beach, we absolutely love coming here, and we have been visiting regularly since it first opened. With the vibey atmosphere and great service keeping us coming back again and again. The bar has a unique charm, with plenty of special touches that make it stand out. It’s definitely the perfect spot to grab a bite, have a few drinks, play some pool, and enjoy great music with great people. The manager Zack, truly adds to the vibe of this place, his service is top-notch and their drinks are incredible!

Google
Because of the out of the way location (there are no other major bars in the area), I was expecting more of a dive bar type vibe, but it was the complete opposite. It has a wanna be, high end type feel with overpriced drinks for no reason. As a local, I was really hoping for a neighborhood kind of bar where I could walk in and not feel some type of way. Oh well, off to Lost Weekend or Dewey’s.

My new favorite bar on the beach! As a local that walks everywhere I had struggled to find a place where I could feel safe and excited at the same time. So beautifully curated, loveeee the lighting, the fries, the Manhattan and that bathroom is a magnet for selfies ones the first drink kicks in! Absolutely worth the while.

Google
The bar we all knew south beach needed! Excellent service, fun atmosphere… and the best coconut shrimp you will ever have in your life. Also, I should mention more than 2 martinis will ABSOLUTELY mean no driving. Hard to find a bar that will actually help you achieve the goal of getting drunk by serving you truly stiff drinks — 10/10 will be visiting again.

Yelp
Great food, great service, and ambiance was perfect. If you are thinking about visiting Brother's Keeper, don't think, just go! You will not be disappointed. The drinks were made delicious! I recommend the jerk chicken wings as a must try!

Yelp
Once again yelp never fails me. I parked my car at the lot closest to my dermatologist and I had an hour to kill before my appointment and it was 5pm. The perfect time for happy hour. I searched happy hour and sorted by distance and this was the closest spot. It took me 3 mins walking to find it and parking was less than 3 dollars an hours. When I walked in I was a little skeptical because I was the only person there but I grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender handed me a menu. The inside is super cool they have salt water aquariums over the bar which I thought was awesome! He told me all drinks were half off and at the top of the menus were the martinis and I instantly knew I was at the right spot for me. I ordered the bread martini. It was amazing and came with a little buttered croissant and it was the perfect combo. I also ordered half a dozen of east coast oysters. They were fresh and delicious. All of that for 30 bucks in Miami Beach. Not too shabby, can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience here! Arrived around 9:30 on a Wednesday night and a few other people were here but by 10:30, it was packed! The bartenders are super knowledgeable and friendly - the kitchen made me the bread service martini even though it was closed and man, that croissant was warm, buttery, and delicious. Music was good, people at the bar actually talk to each other, and drinks are affordable. Menu looks great too, though I didn't get to try anything other than the croissant due to the time. Will definitely be back. Pro tip- ask for Jess at the bar!! Best bartender ever

Yelp
Really digging this new Alton and Lincoln bar. The space is small but comfortable. Nice big bar in the center with cushioned bar top. Nice touch. And the lighting makes you feel like you are part of an aquarium, which are adorned behind the bar. Stopped in for their happy hour menu. The oysters were so fresh and delicious (East Coast Cape Cod region) more on the sweet side, not so briny. Also got a chance to try the bacon wrapped dates with queso Cabrales inside. Nice pairing for some drinks. They had a good selection of cocktails and NA ones too, if you're skipping the booze but want something flavorful and fizzy to drink. They have a pool table, darts, and a juke box. Living for this dive!

Yelp
Brother's Keeper is such a great spot! They opened close to two months ago and I've found myself here a handful of times already. The staff is all so kind and attentive. The bar is great from its super cool decor to the cold AC, great drinks (cocktails, beer, and wine) and yummy food by QP Tapas. Highly recommend ending the night with the cheesecake bites that are so delicious. They have a great happy hour everyday from 5-7pm that does not disappoint with drinks and bites. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were great. It's had a neighborhood bar feel to it and my husband and I felt welcomed.

Yelp
I'm growing fond of coming here. Been a few times since the opening and it's consistently a chill place to post up with the homies. Pool table in the back, darts towards the front. Good amount of seats at the bar and several tables which for the most part can seat 4 people and maybe 1-2 standing by it. Drinks are pretty good and the menu also has a nice variety of bites. Recently had the crab rangoonies and they rocked. Smoked fish dip is also a popular item, and each of their Martinis also comes with a bite to accompany it. I've referred to it as Mac's 2.0 (some may not agree) but it reminds me of it, lights and all. Definitely check it out if you haven't, perfect for a wind down after work if you're on the beach.

Yelp
Just go and order the "bread service." But I'll explain. imagine this, you see your friend order what you thought was just your typical "dirty martini" situation. Then you find out it's a "bread service" martini. Wtf is that I thought. Wellll, it is the most perfectly crafted, ice cold, smooth as can be martini garnished with a little tangy spanish pepper. it doesn't end there. THE most buttery, flaky, warm croissant appears with your perfect cocktail. The end. In heaven. Goodbye

Yelp
I was hoping for a great or good neighbor bar. Instead I had a mediocre drink (kettle one on the rocks w two splashes of cranberry -strange tasting cranberry juice- and was charged $27 plus a surcharge of $3.00 for ice plus a 20% charge for service included in the bill. That's way going out in Mami Beach sucks.

Yelp
My new favorite spot on Miami Beach! As soon as I heard that the creators of Lost Boy were behind this new bar, I had to check it out. Right when you walk in, you are blasted with amazing A/C and a nice relaxing volume of music. Labeled a "dive bar", this place is an elevated version of such, however it gives all the cozy feels of a local dive bar. We started with the Lychee Coconut Colada which had notes of banana as well and definitely packed a punch. Their happy hour bites looked amazing, we had the Frita Pie, Bacon Wrapped Dates, and Jerk Chicken Wings. None disappointed and all had so much flavor, no extra sauces or toppings needed. We finished with the Frozen Cheesecake Pop which was sweet and salty, possibly my favorite dish. The service was impeccable, the bartenders and staff were so in touch with their guests. Happy hour everyday from 5-7 is something relatively new to the Beach and I am so here for it. I can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu!

Yelp
The onion rings are everything! Bartender is heavy handed and friendly staff! Pool tables and good music. Kitchen doesn't close till midnight! Also love bands on weekends!

Yelp
Walked into this lovely but chill neighborhood bar after our shifts to check it out after meeting the owner. Not only did the lead bartender recognize us after only having met us one other time at his previous job, but remembered we don't drink alcohol and called for two non-alcoholic cocktails to be made. Fantastic service and atmosphere, very safe and cool vibes. The n/a cocktails were amazing and the snacks hit the spot. So happy we came by and will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Amazing service, cocktails and food. We loved the stuffed dates on happy hour so much we ordered them twice. I cannot recommend this place enough! It's the perfect addition to Miami Beach. As a bonus they have happy hour everyday from 5-7.

Yelp
This bar is fire , love the ambiance!! Lot cool people and service is amazing! The happy hour is probably one of the best on South Beach!! They have a cute pool table and also a great location!

Yelp
Not a good spot for a person on his own simply trying to grab a drink. People don't know how to respond to a solo patron.

Yelp
While on our weekend staycation visiting from WPB, we stopped in for a nightcap last night. From the moment we opened the door I was in awe of the unique vibe, food and beverage selections. The ambient lighting, fish tanks and background music adds charm to this local gem. Some of the cocktails are thoughtfully paired with an accompanying food bite. My hubby had the Filthy Cherry & Almond Manhattan, accompanied by a bacon wrapped stuffed date. Of course, I had to try a sip and a bite too. It was absolutely wonderful and savory delicious! I was curious about their non-alcoholic selections so I ordered the Monday Negroni. I enjoyed it and it hit the spot. We really enjoyed the lightly breaded and flavorful gator bites, which were good on their own, but were also great dipped in the hot sauce. Don't let the thought of "alligator" deter you. You gotta at least order these once. They actually taste better than chicken. The bartenders are super attentive and we gave The Magic 8 Ball a try. We played with that a bit and had our nostalgia fix. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We will definitely make a point of visiting during happy hour the next time we're in town. This place is a super fun hangout.

Yelp
Chill place to have a drink and get to know a new friend. And it's close to work. I will be back.

Yelp
Went there for their happy hour and their drink prices were great. What I did not like was the very small selection of bar bites. Also the prices of these bar bites were way over priced for what you got. For instance the smoked fish dip had one tablespoon size portion of fish tip which came with original saltine crackers. If you are paying $10 for this bar bite you should be given some fancy crackers. I definitely will not be back for these bar bites.
