Brothers

"The "Brothers" in question are the Klaas twins, who have already made a name for themselves as maître d' and sommelier on the restaurant scene; the name also alludes to the brotherly spirit in the team, which includes head chef Daniel Bodamer. He draws on experience gained during stints at some top establishments to create modern dishes with classical foundations and international influences, using excellent produce in the process. A set menu is also drawn from the à la carte selection and the well-curated wine list has a personal touch. The atmosphere is laid back and urban chic. From the seats at the counter you can see into the kitchen." - Michelin Inspector

We had a delightful new year eave dinner. Every dish was a combination of exceptional products and tour de main. As usual the wine selection was superb. Every time we come back we see a step up. It was a full night. Bravo and thank you.

Wow...just wow. I have no words, we had such an amazing experience and this by far is the best michelin restaurant I have been to. We sat at the bar and everyone was incredibly nice and the food was amazing. It was a lot more than I was expecting, but the whole experience was nothing short of excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

NB: I went in December 2024, ie a long time ago, and m posting this because I just stumbled across the pictures attached. Reason for the 2/5 rating is the following: Food was largely good (although certainly not everything was 1*, in particular the dessert) and service was a bit off (may have changed since!), for example wine came after food was served, waiter reached across my plates, etc. However, and this is an absolute no-go, shortly before I went, Munich based „food influencers“ (a debatable profession per se) went and showed their content on instagram in connection with a raffle (this was also posted on the restaurants insta!). In the reel, one could clearly see that they received double the portion of the main course that I received, ie two pieces of meat v only one. Assuming that they paid the same price or likely even nothing at all, this is an impertinence that will prevent me from ever going back.

Amazing and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Munich. We celebrated New Year’s Eve here and every single dish tasted great. The duck was my absolute favorite, and the raviolo - just wow. The courses were spaced out over about three hours or so, and gave us plenty of time to savor each dish rather than feeling overly stuffed or overwhelmed with back to back servings. Markus and the rest of the team topped off our night with amazing service as well. It was a joy to dine and to close off the year with Brothers.

Visiting from Chicago, we are always excited to try the best restaurants in new cities. Brothers was high on our list for Munich, and it certainly did not disappoint! We opted for the tasting menu. Each course was delicious, well paced, and generous portions. The excellent dishes were also matched with exceptional service. The owners spent time with us throughout the night discussing the dishes, their restaurant, and recommendations for our trip. I would highly recommend Brothers for an incredible meal and experience!

We had such a lovely experience here, a big thank you for making our short trip to Munich so memorable! Each and every one on the team was friendly and personable, taking the time to first explain the cocktails and then the menu to us. We opted not to do the tasting menu, instead going for 2 "snacks" each, a starter and a main. We left with very full bellies and even fuller hearts. Read less

Simply one of the best fine dining experiences I've ever had. Not pretentious or stuffy, but rather relaxed and refined. Full tasting menu with the wine pairing and a few additional options are available to enhance the menu. Absolutely zero mistakes made throughout the service from start to finish. The whole team was in sync and it showed. I sat at the bar and could see directly into the kitchen the entire time, it was a perfectly executed service. Markus and Tobias (the brothers) curate everything in the space to make you feel comfortable and welcomed, an absolute masterclass in being an excellent host. Chef Daniel and his team are fluid and thoughtful with the flavors, presentations, and techniques used. Food highlights on this particular menu were the langoustine wrapped in knafeh and orange, the new brill dish wrapped in a squash blossom and served with a intense bisque like sauce, and the lamb served with perfect pomme frittes and a couple incredible lamb meatballs with yogurt on the side. The wine pairing was dynamic and wonderfully curated by Tobias. Desserts were wonderful and the petite four was a highlight rather than an afterthought as can so often be the case. Of all the Michelin and fine dining experiences I've been lucky to have over the years, this has catapulted to the top of the list for myself. An absolute pleasure and MUST if you are in the market for these types of dinners. I will make it a point to come back anytime I am lucky enough to be in Munich again. Cheers
